I’ve used Homeward Bound twice now while on vacation, and have been very happy with their services each time. They took great care of my cat, sending me photos and reports at every visit, and were accommodating to his special food needs. They also were able to come for a last-minute visit when my return flight was delayed by several hours. My cat was relaxed and in good spirits when I returned home, and it was reassuring to know he was in good hands the whole time. Would recommend!

We’ve used Homeward Bound twice and they are the best. We had an issue with a hiding cat…I called and they got right back with me and assured me they would look high and low for our elusive Gracie. She usually isn’t so shy but her schedule was disrupted and she preferred to sleep through dinner time. They found her hiding place, problem solved. We used to ask our friends to cat sit, but asking your friends to clean a litter box on a daily basis is a big “ask”. We’re so glad we found Homeward Bound.

We have been using Homeward Bound as our Pet Care for around 5 years. The communication and care they have for our fur child makes life away from home less stressful.

They cared for our pets for 8 days and did an outstanding job. We received e-mail reports after every visit (2 per day) with pictures. Knowing they were taking care of our furry friends put our minds at ease and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing they were in excellent hands. Would give 10 stars if that were an option. Highly recommend this service. Very professional and caring.

Homeward Bound is the best pet sitting service I’ve ever used. They have taken such wonderful care of my pets. When I got a new puppy, Roscoe, they were so good with him. They took fantastic care of him, visiting him twice daily to cuddle, play with him and take him out to potty. He has grown into such a playful and confident dog because of the consistently wonderful care he received in his formative years through Homeward Bound. HB thank you so much for treating my fur baby with such great care.

I have used the ladies at HWB for the last 20 months. They have taken care of my dog well and follow instructions well. Their customer service is phenomenal. If I ever had an issue, they were open about resolving it. One time, they tracked snow into my kitchen. When I told them, they profusely apologized, refunded my fee for that day, and that has never happened again. They are flexible to my weird schedule and responsive to their texts. I live further away so they charge an extra $1 or so, but I don’t mind because I trust them with my dog.

I wish I could leave this business a 100 star review. My son hired them to visit 3 times a day while we were in TN. They had problems with the lock and waited at his house until almost midnight so a locksmith could let them in. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement!!!

My baby Athena loved her dog walkers and her time with them. We had moved and we were outside their area but if I could I would use them again. They were so good with Athena and they sent pictures of their time with her and I looked forward to them on my 12 hr days. Me and Athena appreciated them so much 💓 …

Homeward Bound Pet Care took wonderful care of my cat on multiple occasions. They would take pictures of her and send me updates while I was away. They were very responsive to any questions or concerns. I highly recommend their services!

I have been using Homeward Bound for cat sitting for the last two years. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are trustworthy, dependable and very focused on making sure your pets are well taken care of. I’ve used them numerous times and never had a single issue. My son and I love reading the daily journals and looking at the pictures they took of our cats. It’s been such a relief not to have to worry about them when we go out of town. I highly recommend them!

Jessica is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter. She has taken care of two of my cats, both quite old and with health issues. I felt so comfortable and safe with her taking care of my cats because I knew if there were any health issues, they were in good hands. Plus, she maintains such good communication, so I knew she would contact me immediately if anything was worrisome. Jessica is so responsible, thoughtful, and loving toward animals. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I absolutely love having Jessica watch my two dogs while I'm away. I have two energetic and quirky young dogs. Before Jessica's first visit, she came over to get to know the dogs and learn about their needs. When I was away, she came to take care of them and play with them. Though I was nervous to leave them initially, receiving videos and pictures from her reassured me that they were in good hands. She even quickly won the affection of my more fearful dog. It is so nice knowing that my dogs are comfortable at home, well cared for, and having fun. I've hired The Pet Keeper Pet Sitting several times, and I recommend them to anyone!

We have used Jessica for several years and she's been wonderful. Our pets love her we love knowing that they're home and well-cared for anytime we go away. She's great about keeping in touch - the photos she sends are the best. It's so comforting to know that someone who knows and loves animals is watching them, and also keeping an eye on our house. Jessica is amazing. She has provided care for our pets for many years now. She has always been here when we needed her! She provided loving care to our very special elderly dog so that she never had to be alone for more than a few hours at a time. She has become a trusted friend.

I was searching for care for my dogs . I was having surgery and hated the thoughts of a boarding kennel. They are used to being out and being able to play. I found Jessica . Best call I ever made. I explained my situation and she came out that same evening. The dogs loved her! Needless to say the dogs got to stay home . She came out several times a day. They got to play and were well cared for! And what a value. Her charges were a lot less than a boarding kennel. Jessica is my go to for my pets needs.

I take my Golden Retriever puppy Louie to Dogtown Huber Heights for daycare 4 days a week. I cannot say enough good things about this location. The staff is incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable. Every time I drop Louie off he is more interested in being with them and his friends at daycare than saying bye to his mom. Whenever there’s been an issue they were quick to message me, and very helpful. I often look in to see how Louie is doing on the webcams and never see potty messes on the ground that aren’t addressed, or dogs fighting, the staff is always attentive and caring. Bringing Louie to daycare has been great for his socialization, and I love knowing that he’s not sitting in a kennel. Their grooming services are also fantastic, and it is so convenient to pick him up all bathed and trimmed and ready to go home. Pick up and drop off have always been quick and easy as well. Boarding there was also really convenient when we went out of town for a night. There are so many fun activities they do! It’s apparent to this very picky dog mom that the entire staff treat Louie like family. Definitely give them a try and see for yourself.

Absolutely love this place! Having recently moved to Dayton it was so hard to know whom to trust my pups with. I have been so thoroughly impressed and happy with dogtown Huber! The team here have been so observant of my dogs noting changes in behavior and even the smallest scratches on them! Great communication! You can tell they love what they do! My dogs are always excited for daycare and come back so happily exhausted! Have boarded my dogs here for trips as well!! Also love that they’re open 24/7!

Awesome facility! The employees really care about the dogs here, and take so much time to make sure they're as happy and comfortable as possible. They even have a salon, now! I love how the dogs get to roam a bit more freely rather than being confined to kennels for hours like other places. They maintain safety while giving more freedom, it's really fun!

We've taken our dogs here before and had no issues. Well this time our one dog was "aggressive". Our dog has never been that way not even at dog parks. So they isolated our dogs because we didn't have another option to come them while on vacation. I have talked to others and they have had similar issues after having gone several times. They also told us to bring her in more often as they could train her so they just want us to spend more money on a problem that wasn't even a problem. I watched the cameras and have seen dogs humping each other and others who showed aggressive behaviors but those dogs were not isolated.

Everyone is always friendly and really helpful. They have a lot to juggle but still have great customer service. Lillian is quick and knowledgeable and her confidence makes me feel comfortable leaving my dogs. Also, the groomer was great! I don’t remember their name though.

They were really nice and patient with our baby girl. They cleaned her up really nice and didn't take too long at all.

Love this place! My dog gets so excited when she goes to daycare and just loves it there. Everyone there is just so nice. They have great communication too, so if your dog is sick, just is acting too nervous, or anything else, they will always let you know which I really appreciate! She was even groomed there because it was convenient while she was in daycare and they did such a great job with her! She's a hyperactive dog and they were able to keep her calm. Great prices, open 24/7, and friendly employees! Dogtown is a great place to bring your dog!

I can't recommend Dogtown highly enough! From the moment we walk through the door, the staff always greets my pup and me with the most genuine warmth and enthusiasm. It's a comforting feeling to leave my dog there, knowing he'll be treated like family. My dog absolutely loves his time at Dogtown. He's always so excited to go there in the morning and comes home happy and tuckered out, a sure sign he's had a day full of play and socialization. I love seeing pictures of him playing and interacting with other dogs - it's clear he's having the time of his life! The environment is clean, safe, and organized, with plenty of space for dogs to play, both indoors and out. They really pay attention to the individual needs of each pet, ensuring a good match in play groups and providing ample rest time. Choosing Dogtown for my doggy daycare needs has been one of the best decisions I've made for my four-legged friend. It's more than just a daycare - it's a community of dog lovers who make every day a fun, tail-wagging adventure for my pup!

We took our dog there for boarding while we were out of town. While on our way back, we called and asked if we could have him groomed, and they really went above and beyond and accommodated our request. It was very much appreciated and so grateful for a business like this.

Update: Austin has been going here for 4 years now and I am so thankful for Dogtown! I figured I should update my review from 3 years ago, because they are still so great. They are still amazing! We are so fortunate to have such a great place near us. The staff is so awesome! We have been taken out Bassett Austin here since he was 16 weeks old and is now 7 months old. He love it here so much! The staff is AMAZING and cares about every individual dog! We are so fortunate to have such a great place near us with great staff. I highly recommend checking them out!

Theresa is great with my Persian cat,Chance. She is very affordable and can usually get him in same day for our emergencies, which is usually because he doesn’t clean his butt and needs shaved. Highly recommend if you have a high maintenance cat like mine!

Haley did a great job on our new adopted doggie Brookie! She was able to get us in quickly. Pricing is excellent and this place is hopping with animals. Clean and professional atmosphere. Thank you!

I started taking my rescue cat Cooper here almost 3 years ago. The owner Theresa is fantastic! She talks to Cooper like he’s her baby and is always so gentle with him. I recommend this place when anyone asks for a boarding or grooming. All the ladies there are very welcoming and friendly.

I was really shocked. After I read several reviews my hope was I've found another good groomer. The grooming was a problem, after looking at my dog closer I saw some issues. I let the groomer know what I wanted done n figured after reading the reviews that I was in good hands. My dogs head wasnt near as good as I expected, her muzzle was hit miss, her eye lashes n hair above her eyes was not matched up good as far as length, her hair on her ears were out of proportion with the rest of her body n head. I'm going to have to try n do something with them myself, it makes her look goofy and she is a beautiful dog. The price was fair and I even gave a ten dollar tip! From just a glance she looked good, it wasn't until I got her home that I noticed more. Before we left the office I did ask her to trim Molly's tail where it attaches to her body, they had left an odd shape and looked terrible, bad transition from the body to tail! PLUS, what shocked me even more was the floor where the "customers" come in to leave or pick up was covered with dog hair of different colors! I had to try n step in places where there was less hair so I didn't carry it out to my car and home and while I was making a check out I was trying to keep my clean,"groomed" dog out of the hair too! I made another appointment but in the meantime I'll be looking for another. I can't recommend this business. Very shocked n disappointed. As for the reviews I read, I guess some people don't ask for a clean work place where they take their dogs. As far as friendly, semi friendly. I think their to busy to actually show the friendliness needed in business that deals with the public. I've worked in business n you must not only be friendly but also have a CLEAN business if you want to stay in business. AND all these issues can be corrected, just need to delegate responsibility.

Not sure what Dylan is talking about. This is absolutely a professional staff. The owner and employees will bend over backwards to accommodate you. Even in difficult times, they strive to be the best in the Richmond area.

My dog Izzy went here a couple weeks ago for only a one night stay and 2 days. The last time I took her to a boarding place they had zero care in the world for her. Somehow Izzy came home in worse shape from that other place. So I was nervous giving another place a try. They were very considerate about my worries. They took excellent care of Izzy. They told me how she did and that they sat with her to try and get her to eat. She usually has major seperation anxiety and at this place she felt comfortable and did great coming home. No destruction or barking at the kennel! This is so amazing for my dog to get past and Im so happy I have found a place that really cares for her like I would!

Brooke is our Groomer and she is always nice and does a great job! The dogs don't smell like wet dog, they actually smell good when we pick them up! The deshed option is also SUPER helpful and works great for our Shepherds.

I have 3 big dogs and I boarded them for a week. They were treated so well and they even had a bath!!! Love this place!! Great care and very affordable!

We boarded our two dogs (a mini schnauzer and golden retriever, Mipha and Medli) recently and we love this place! I am an anxious mess leaving our dogs with anyone, but the owners helped ease that anxiety by being very communicative and kind. We will definitely board our dogs here again for our next trip. :) Photos are from Medli and Mipha’s stay!

First time boarder, and am so impressed! We have a 5 year old Great Pyrenees who requires a very large kennel, and not many places can take him. Our regular place was booked, so I had to find an alternate. Wow, What A FIND! They were very nice, allowing me take a tour of the place before I booked. It was very clean & they have nice fenced areas outside for the dogs to go out individually to run off some steam. They include 4 walks/day with their price, which is a great deal. The ultimate reason for my 5 Star review is when I picked up my sweet dog, he was CLEAN (even though he had not been bathed by them) and appeared very well cared for. The lady gave me a report on his behavior & eating habits. As we were leaving, she said goodbye to my dog & instead of making a beeline for the door & dragging me out so he could go home, he turned around & wagged his tail at her, then went to her for kisses. That said everything. He felt safe & well cared for by the people there. I am SO GLAD to have found this kennel, and I will definitely be using them from now on.

I moved to Ohio in August of 2024 and needed a kennel to call “home” for my two dogs when we travel. I gave Howliday Inn a shot and haven’t looked back since! In fact, I didn't even want to write this review because I always want them to have a spot for us 😂🫶 They offer add ons (play time, peanut butter kings, pup cups and a night time tuck in with warm blankets) and they also do nails and grooming! Carrie and Ruth are always responsive and easy to work with, and more so they do so well with my big, anxious goofy dog Tucker who doesn’t really like anyone that doesn’t live with us 😂 (But my other boy, max loves everyone and gets so excited to see Carrie) photo of my goodest boys for tax. Thanks for all you guys do!

This place is great. They’ve been watching my dogs (Sally & Bailey) for a few years now every time we go out of town, I couldn’t ask for better caretakers.

Howliday Inn is incredible, they are flat out the best place to care for your dog when you need to board. They have flexible hours, friendly staff, provide detailed care and great rates. On top of all of that the owners are incredible people who breed and show their own dogs as well as work for Ohio Department of Natural Resources. It's obvious they care about animals and will treat your pooch accordingly.

This is the third time I have taken Abbey here. They are always very welcoming to her. She is comfortable with them which is very important to me. They do a great job and I highly recommend them for your boarding needs!

The owners and workers are awesome! My dog took to them right away... it was clear how much they all cared about dogs. Our dog, Rose, was happy when we returned from being gone for almost two weeks. It was her first time being boarded, and I was a little nervous, but pleasantly pleased when we returned. I'll definitely use them again.

Very accommodating to our last minute cancellation from our dog sitter over Memorial Day weekend. They called us back and let us know they had room for our dog. Great value! Dogs are kept separate, which was great for our dog who is more anxious around larger dogs. Our dog has some anxiety and has been sick from stress when we pick him up from some boarding facilities, but he was perfectly fine after a weekend at Howliday Inn.

This is a wonderful place to house your dogs when you are gone. Very attentive and sensitive to your needs. Flexible drop off and pick up times. All the other dogs there were amazing and the owner is so kind and sweet. Beautiful yard for the dogs to roam and play. Two thumbs up 👍👍 …

Joey takes exceptional care of my pup. She is very interactive and engaging with him. He is somewhat shy and timid but always comes home tired and happy. He loves spending time at Bark Fitness. I won't take him anywhere else. Joey offers great communication, compassion, and cares for the pups as of they are her own.

Joey is the only person I truly trust to care for our furry babies. She is a lover of all animals and it shows in her interaction with the dogs (and cats!). She is truly dedicated to their happiness and comfort. She is hard working, conscientious and very professional. You can trust your pets will be in the best care when you choose Bark Fitness.

My husband and I don’t trust just anyone with our dog, Hank, but we trust Joey completely. We know that she will shower him with all the love and attention that we do and treat him as her own. She is professional, courteous, dependable, and so good about accommodating us even at a moment’s notice. We are thankful for Joey and Bark Fitness. I would encourage anyone looking for a dog sitter to give Joey at Bark Fitness a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Very dirty and chaotic place. The dogs are left to themselves in a what appears to maybe be a filthy living room with an attached doggy door to the back yard. Dog sitter did not follow our feeding instructions at all. We brought our dog bed for the overnight stay. The dog bed and our dog’s blanket where caked in mud and unrecognizable at pick up. When I asked her what happened I was told that her dogs like to “take things outside”. At time of pick up the sitter had at least 5-6 large dogs running wildly in circles around in her very small space. When I asked her for her Venmo to pay my bill and confirmed one more time the agreed price, she tried to price gauge and asked for an additional $10 per night. Our dog was totally apathetic for a couple of days after she came home. This is a good place for your pet.

Joanna is such a sweet lady and loves our fur babies so much! Our boys always have fun and come home wore out! I wouldn't trust anyone else but her to leave our boys with for an extended amount of time. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of them! Love, Christy, Anakin, and Vader! Bark Fitness has been a flexible and reliable option for my dog. It is nice to have peace of mind that my dog is being taken care of while I work my crazy schedule.

My pups were well cared for and happy while we were gone. One of my dogs is high maintenance with health issues and special food and there were no problems.

Joanna is always sooo great with our 2 dogs! I wouldn't go to anyone else. Thanks for all you do!
