Its about time things are updated around here. I have used this facility 4-5 times and one of my dogs was abused at a kennel before I had her. She has intense anxiety at being left alone, left in a kennel. So I was very worried when I had to kennel her for the first time. I went in and talked with the owner and despite the negative reviews felt this may be a good place for my dogs. My dogs were both happy and bright eyed when I saw them and the rescue showed no signs of mistreatment. In fact, when I left her with friends in the past, she would always whine when I came home and was starved for affection. She was just happy to see me. She also never runs excitedly into anyone's home but when we go to doggy haven both girls leap from the car and run to the door tell wagging as I follow them in with their leashes. While we may view dog minds differently, she does a wonderful job caring for and providing for my girls. So aside from the rescue, the other is a herding breed mix and is very high needs in terms of exercise and play. So far she hasn't come back acting like she hadn't gotten to play much. She gets very grumpy when she isn't engaged. Both girls love it there and I don't feel guilty. Thanks.

We have left our two dogs with Marcia now for two separate stays. Both times, the dogs were healthy and happy when I picked them up. They were happy to go back a second time.

The BEST boarding and spa in the area. Our Poppy can be a bit sensitive and have GI issues with boarding, but we finally got into here and she had no problems. On top of that she seems so happy and we love how the groomers made her look cuter than usual. The employees were so nice and attentive, even as I observed with other dogs, they truly love pets. The daily reports and pictures were so important when it came to my own nerves. I can't imagine a better place to board or groom our precious Poppy.

I have been taking Cash here for over 6 years! The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Maddy, Connor, and Devin are amazing! I would highly recommend Friendly Grove for all your dogs needs!

Friendly Grove did a great job taking care of our cat for a few days before he traveled abroad to meet up with us in Europe. They work closely with Across the Pond pet shipping so they know all the procedures and paperwork required. Friendly Grove has a wonderfully tranquil facility and I'm sure they will care for your pet just as well as they did ours.

I have been coming here for years and I love the customer service and fun monthly theme parties. This includes a variety of theme birthday/moving away parties! In addition to enriched daycare, Friendly Grove offers boarding and grooming. Below is a picture of my dogs in their theme birthday party and their favorite staff Madison.

They are really an awesome facility. The staff is awesome and does excellent grooming on my dogs. The facility is huge and has the ability to groom and board and the grounds are huge and beautiful! Highly recommend them.

Our canine friend enjoys his time at Friendly Grove. We sure do enjoy the beautiful environment he gets to participate in all day. Over the past year, they've really taken care to ease this puppy into the lifetime of grooming needs he'll face as a Groodle. Lots of breaks, playtime, going potty, and staying hydrated. They've trained him for their own practices and procedures. They will give him the food I provide for his lunch. They take the time to go over the cut before hand, at the drop off. They are very busy, very well scheduled, and managed quite well. Their price is a fair trade for services rendered under the conditions he enjoys. They commit the time to our hairy friend, and he's always happy to see them. That speaks volumes to his excellent treatment while attending day spa therapy. ;)

I've been going to Friendly Grove Resort for Dogs for the past 18 years. They, the owners, and staff are tremendous, professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and caring. They have taken great care of my fur-babies for all these years.

We have used Friendly Grove for our dog for the past four years. They have done an exceptional job taking care of Bo. They take great care of her. They contacted us once to let us know she had some stomach issues (most likely something she ate prior to dropping her off) discussed care options and provided treatment. Then they followed up to let us know she was fine so we wouldn't worry during our vacation. Bo enjoys going there and playing with her friends. We are able to enjoy our trips knowing she is being taken good care of.

I moved from out of state and was really hoping to find a great place to bring my dog for boarding and daycare that he would fit into. He LOVES it at Carolyn’s. With a not super social but really high energy dog, Carolyn’s is the perfect place for him and I always trust he will be taken care of and come home calm and tired. What you get for the price is definitely worth it. They have plenty of staff and care for all the pups and make sure they all are grouped together so they get along. Everyone is really nice and you can tell they really care. They post updates during the day which is a cute way to check in on your pup. Everything from our first meet and greet day to extended boarding, I know my dog will be taken care of and enjoy his time. Highly recommend this place.

BEST DOGGY DAYCARE IN TOWN! The space is great and the staff is super friendly. My pup gets very excited every time we drop him off, and fulfilled and exhausted by the time we get home. This truly is an outstanding place for your dog(s) to socialize and get their needed exercise.

We found Carolyn’s K9 Retreat earlier this summer when looking for a doggy daycare and boarding for our sweet six month old Aussiedoodle, Gus. They were very responsive to set up a plan to help Gus get accommodated so we could board him for our vacation in a month. All the staff members are so kind and loving to all the pups! Our Gus had some separation anxiety issues during his first doggy daycare stays and his first overnight stay. The staff was very patience with Gus and able to help him calm down and become habituated to the new environment! Gus was able to have a wonderful stay at Carolyn’s while we were able to enjoy a road trip through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. I would totally recommend Carolyn’s K9 Retreat for doggy daycare and boarding, especially for dogs who are not fully kennel trained!

This is like Disneyland for dogs! My dog loves this place and feels right at home here! She gets super excited when we arrive. The staff are phenomenal and very attentive. My dog is a smaller dog too and gets shy but the staff has helped her feel comfortable and welcome. She has made great doggy friends and loves staying here for the day or overnight. Your pet is in good hands when going to the Carolyn’s K9 retreat!

Carolyn’s is our pup, Dory’s favorite place!!! She gets to play all day with her friends and everyone is incredible with the dogs!! Such a clean environment as well. I LOVE this place. My pup is 1 month into classes & he LOVES it! I can hardly home him back when we arrive. When I pick him up, he's tuckered out from playing & learning. Bringing him here has helped my pup in solicitation & gives him lots of time to play with other dogs. Best part is seeing the daily pics posted on FB throughout the day while my pup is there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My dog isn’t the easiest- Lola jumps all the fences, has separation anxiety and is on medication. I’ve never been able to leave her anywhere! Until Carolyn and her team!!!! Carolyn and her husband own this amazing sanctuary for our dogs! All of the employees are exceptionally caring and attentive. I now feel so comforted that we have found a place to care for our baby!!! They keep me updated as to how she is doing when I am out of town and my heart is happy knowing she is happy there.

Carolyn’s K9 Retreat is doggy Disneyland for our dog! He gets so excited when we pull into their parking lot and doesn’t want to leave when we pick him up! They send pictures and texts and treat him like family! I cannot recommend this place more! Simply one of a kind and THE BEST! Gunner will be going here forever! We are so happy we’ve chosen Carolyn’s K9 Retreat as our local daycare/boarding spot. We appreciate that they require a meet & greet and a full day of daycare prior to boarding to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone. Karen is seriously a master of her craft. When we first met her, we could tell right away that she's highly personable and extremely competent when it comes to dog-care. We enlisted her help several times throughout the years and every time our dog, Jake, was beyond excited to see her. She's professional, flexible, funny, and great at caring for our fur baby.

You will not be disappointed. Karen has been caring for my pups on and off for nearly a decade. The last six months of his life my 100lb boxer stopped using his rear end. Karen came several days a week, put him in his wheelchair, cleaned up after him (no easy task), but most importantly, genuinely cared enough to help me track his needs. She took one of the best pictures I have of my old man. I took a few years to get my next dog, which Karen has now walked several days a week for four years. My dog LOVES her walks. If I happen to be there when Karen comes my dog does not even acknowledge my presence. Karen is communicative, reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. I have never once worried about my pets in her care. When my dog allows me to chat with her, I genuinely enjoy her company.

Karen is reliable and goes the extra mile. We have used her service for our kitty for several years. Karen is also a fun person to chat with and we know our furry family member is in good hands!

Over a period of several years I used Walkies and the experience was very positive. Even when i had a crazy, out-of-control hunting dog, she was well taken care of by Karen and loved seeing her pull up with her own dog. The two became besties. Karen has an innate sense of what works and doesn't work and always has the best interest of your furbaby at heart. Call her.

Amy and Rae took care of my kitty, Bella, while I was at a knitting retreat this weekend. I felt so confident that they would make sure that she was fed, watered, litter box cleaned and she was happy! They were able to give Bella her asthma inhaler which was so comforting to me! Amy and her crew were the best!!! Came and met my animals before and then got on the floor with them and played. They made me feel so comfortable to leave all 4 animals in their care. They came 3 times a day and walked the dogs and loved on them every visit. Each visit they contacted me to say they were there, sent pics and then gave details of their visit. They let me know when they left and how the dogs went potty and what treats or food they gave them. Highly recommend Oh My Dog (sitters) I look forward to having them in the future

And our dogs go bonkers when they see Amy or Brenda out and about, so I know they are given the best times on their walks and visits! We always use OMD to care for our precious pets while away. The team is very professional, caring, and attentive to details. I recommend them highly for both cats and dogs. We always get fabulous notes and photos while we’re away which gives us peace of mind on our trip, and our pets are very well taken care of, including meds as needed and special notes.

My two huskies spent a day at doggie daycare and had a great time. They are a very busy place, but always take the time to handle my pups and be patient with them. I appreciate the staff and the great care they provide. Also recently boarded my huskies while I went out of state to help care for an ill parent. My stress was already high from the situation and leaving my fur babies only added stress. The staff were so kind and understanding. They gave me updates whenever I wanted and the pictures they sent were great. I am not sure the fur babies missed me at all! They had so much fun. I had them groomed on the day I picked them up too. It was the best grooming they had ever had. Super impressed and just love this place. See photos of fun.

I was super worried about boarding my dog as it has been 2-3 years and when he went to doggy daycare, he had a bad experience there….. however, Northwind was great!! They took good care of my boy and made sure he had the best experience! They even were able to get him to play in the social times with other dogs, which surprised me because my dog is a lil crazy sometimes.. Thanks so much for taking care of my baby while I was out of town! It’s greatly appreciated & I will be bringing him back here!

This started out a positive experience. We were boarding our 3 dogs for the first time, back in early July. We toured the facility less than a week before we dropped our dogs off to make sure we were comfortable with the decision. Everyone seemed nice and knowledgeable. We dropped our crew off 6 days later. We were gone for approx a week. When we came back, we picked up the crew and got a rundown on how they had done. We were impressed. Next day I noted my dogs were acting poorly, sneezing, coughing, lethargic. I called the kennel to ask them about it and I was told, oh yeah, there's Bordatella going through the kennel. I was told they posted a sign. We were there 3 times and never was it mentioned. I was told to just give them cough medicine and they would be fine. I was also told they would check on us in a couple days to see how it was going. We decided to call our vet and they said they would need to go on antibiotics. We also called our doctors, because my husband is a transplant patient and We were told we needed to get on antibiotics as well. There were times during the first couple of weeks our dogs were so sick, we had to sit with them in the bathroom with shower on to help them breathe. Our dogs began having diarrhea issues not long after that. We thought it was stress and the antibiotics. A few weeks later we had them tested, since it wasn't going away, and we were told they had giardia as well. Now, our dogs don't go anywhere, and they aren't around any other animals, so the only explanation was tue kennel. When we explained to our vet what had taken place and about how the kennel had handled things once we got home, they were not happy. Posting a sign and never disclosing at any point before, during or after our dogs were there, was considered poor practice in their eyes. It's one thing if the kennel staff didn't know, but they did. Why didnt they shut down and clean, air out, or whatever before taking in more dogs. We paid extra for our dogs to be kept separate from the other dogs to keep them as safe as possible. And we checked on them several times while we were gone. We also had a backup person available if they needed to be picked up. Them coming home with 2 seperate illnesses never crossed our minds. So the first thing some one is likely to say, when reading this, is these things happen. We are now heading to the end of October and our dogs are STILL sick. We've gone through several rounds of antibiotics, testing, other medications, constantly disinfecting and we are still dealing with diarrhea on a daily basis. That is 3 MONTHS of constant sickness, stress, expenses, medications, and there's no relief in sight. We have been told by the vet that because it is so contagious they keep giving it to each other. I have other pets in my home that have had to stay separated from the dogs, which compounds the stress, anxiety and workload. I want people to really think about that. We wanted to go on a vacation, which we hadn't done in years, and this is what we were left with. No being up front, no follow ups, nothing. Why would this place think ANYONE would be okay with playing roulette with their dogs health. This has ruined any trust we have in placing our pets with anyone else. If you think this is not a big deal, or okay in anyway, go ask your vet if they think this practice is okay. My husband left a review a few months ago and, in his words, no one cared. Still no follow up or explanation on why my dogs came home this sick. I'm angry. I'm angry and I'm frustrated that this experience gets a shrug and an oh well. I've noticed alot of people are speaking highly of this kennel, it was recommended to us as well, but this was our experience after ONE time when our dogs were being kept to themselves. NEVER AGAIN.

The staff was great, the tour was great but when we picked our dogs up they all had Bordetella (kennel cough). When we called them the person told us that there was something posted on the wall and we should of read it. If you are having any issues where our animals can get sick it should be discussed with us. Staff was very friendly and I liked the facilities but having a real tough time with our dogs being sick from staying there

Northwind Pet Center is a great place to drop you dog or cat off fir the day or when you go out of town. Their kennel areas are temperature control and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

JBLM Service members find another spot for your furry family members. I got my husky back with a gash on his head and a swollen face. After talking with the staff they said some other dog went after him after reviewing video footage and then I got the reply of, "we're not responsible for injuries at playtime." I doubt I'm getting the full truth because my dog is also wincing like he's afraid he's going to get hit and he's never done that before. Additionally: Don't take my word for it just look at other 1 star reviews and see the pattern for yourselves. Update: This kennel and their inept owner can count their blessings our furry family member made a full recovery. Talked with several vets about what happened and they think he either was trying to escape and got stuck or he was hit. I can't afford bail money should I find I was lied to and he was hit so y'all get a free ride on this one.

This is the most amazing place for daycare if your a dog! Our dog Cooper gets so excited when we tell him he is going to the North Winds! The staff is amazingly attentive and caring. We canceled coming in one day as Cooper had a sore foot. They called to make sure he was OK. The foot was totally unrelated to the NW, but the staff cared about him. We are so confident when we board him there that everyday is a good day for him. Highly recommend the NW. Such a great place!

We absolutely love Emily’s Wood Pack for our two dogs. Our dogs needed some socializing after the pandemic and they were nervous, but they made sure to communicate what days had calmer dogs, and always update with pictures. I would say they are even more affordable with boarding than other locations in the area considering how much love, attention, and space they are given. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. You can tell all the employees love the pets. Honestly amazing!

We are so happy with the care our puppy gets at Emily’s Woof Pack! It’s affordable, high-quality dog care that our pup absolutely loves. He always comes home happily exhausted after his visits, and now he even cries with excitement whenever we drive by the Walgreens nearby. Best of all, Sunny is less nervous with new dogs and people after his ONE day running with the pack. Seriously, bring your dog to Emily’s Woof Pack.

Our Doggo loves her time at Emily’s! She made it super easy to find a day that we could come out and do a trial for a new daycare. Our dog had a great time! And Emily sent us an update on her first day to let us know she’s doing ok. Love that they have outdoor space for the doggos. Will definitely be back!

Emily Wolf Pack has been the best decision we ever made for our dog. Our dog went to day care once a week for a few months and he was the happiest. He was always excited they day he was picked up and came home happy and tired. We never had any trouble with the team working there or with our dog while he was taken care. They are very attentive, Professional, flexible and have great communication. I will for sure recommend this place!!

You will not find a better Doggy Day Care experience than EWP. The Pack Leaders engage with the pups continuously during the day and my two come home happy and tired. This team cares about each dog individually - they are a joy to leave my fur kids with.

I would definitely recommend Emily's Woof Pack to anyone looking for a daycare or boarding for their pups! We adopted our dog about a year-and-a-half ago and he was quite the handful. He didn't do well at a large daycare facility, and I was nervous to try again and leave him with anybody. Emily was willing to work with him and now he loves going over to her house! I love that she does overnight trials and a thorough screening process to make sure all of the dogs will get along before their first day of daycare. 10/10 would recommend 🥰🐾

Emily is a wonderful pet sitter (and human being!) and I trust her to the moon and back to give my pup excellent care. We had a lovely conversation before giving my dog a trial run at her house to figure out if my rescue dog's personality would fit in with the other dogs in the Pack. With my initial concerns about my dog's nervous and anxious behavior put to rest, I was able to leave her with Emily for 24 hours to test the waters. Emily sent photos and gave updates and determined that my dog was ready for a longer stay. Now, I'll leave my dog for her "vacation" with Emily this Christmas while I travel to visit family. <3 Emily came on high recommendation from my rescue, and I'm so glad I heard about her!

Awful rude owner. she is a bully with extreme over the top test and vaccine demands. Facility looks super make-shift and dirty. But the paperwork and demands are extremely elaborate. She violated my right to privacy with my vet. Only to find out everything I told her was true. I did everything she asked and then she asked for more. One can only hope she treats the dogs better than their owners but I am not certain. One of her dogs seems very aggressive but she had someone in the yard calming him down to not show his true colors when I was there. I do not think he is safe to be around. I was not allowed to stay and observe for the first time my young pup was to be there. She thinks she is extremely smart because she was once a vet tech... not a vet.. just a vet tech... alas dumb and small minded people think they know it all....and think they have some moral and intellectual superiority. I assure you, none there. Use at your own risk.

Love this lady and she loves dogs so much that they are treated like family. No cages for these pups! There's a large fenced-in yard to play in and a living room-like heated structure to lounge around in, complete with a couch for visitors and bean bag chairs for the pooches. You will not regret leaving your fur-babies with Leslie if you live in the area.

Leslie loves dogs!!! We take Chloe (our chocolate lab) every week. Leslie is so accommodating. Chloe has so much fun. The pictures and video’s tell the story. ♥️🐾 …

Peaceful Paws is truly home away from home for my pup. He gets plenty of exercise with other wonderful dogs and lots of love and care. Room to run, space to chill, "friends" to socialize with. I have used other boarding facilities before but this one is hands down the best!

This is doggie heaven!!!! What a treasure to find a dog lover to watch my dog while I’m at work each day, she runs around with her pals and gets exercise, socialized and I get to love on her in relax time after work. The plus is vacations are a breeze, she is accustom to her doggie day care so overnight is a welcome vacation for her and me. We used Linn to watch our two cats while we away, and she did an amazing job. It was so nice to get to have them stay at home versus being separated for boarding. She administered medicine for one of our cats, tended to the litter box, made sure they got water/food, and played with them! Tremendous value for the price. She even got our mail for us. Would highly recommend!

The business owner is wonderful with pets. If you need to travel away from your feline fur babies for a short time, you can safely leave them in their comfortable home environment and Linn will come visit and feed them so they don't have to stay in a kennel. This service is super valuable to us.

This is the best place for day care and boarding! Linn is flexible to changing schedules, and quick to respond. She monitors the group closely, and makes sure all the dogs get along. Her yard is great for the dogs to run around, and the indoor space is great to keep them dry in the winter. I really like that when our dog boards here, that he is not in a kennel, and treated like family. Couldn't ask for a better place to send our dog to!

Linn is amazing!! She was a life saver! My husband and I have to travel a lot for work, and a lot of the travel is last minute. We gave Linn a set of our house keys, and we were able to call at the last minute and ask her to cat sit for us. When I travelled, I never worried about my little cats, I knew they were in good hands. I like Linn because she is a professional, she is licensed, and knows pet CPR! My cats are very shy, and don't always like strangers, but they loved Linn! I really felt that Linn genuinely cared for my cats. It was also nice to get pictures of my cats while I was on the road. I only wish that we still lived in Tacoma! **UPDATED: My husband and I had to travel for 3 weeks in a row. We didn't know what we should do with our cats. We don't live in Tacoma any more, and we didn't want to try a new cat sitter for that long. So Linn offered to board our cats! I can enjoy my vacation knowing that my cats are being looked after and cared for at Linn's place!

Linn is amazing with our dogs and has been extremely welcoming every time. She's also very accommodating with our needs. We moved further away but will continue to use her.

We take our two germans shepherds to Personal Pet Concierge and have loved them. We love that we get several updates from Linn several times while we are away, and we know that our dogs are being cared for throughout the day, not just left alone in a crate. We love that the dogs are not being kenneled and are in a home environment and aren't surrounded by a large number of other animals during their stay. Carter P.

We have taken our Mini Aussie Roo to stay with Pet Concierge a couple of times and she LOVES it. Lynn takes great care of her for a reasonable price as well. I appreciate that she sends updates with pictures of how Roo was doing while we were out of town which helped us relax knowing she was in great care. Roo always has a comfortable stay with dog beds, room to run and enjoys playing with the other animals that are staying with Lynn. Lynn even went the extra mile and bought us another bag of dog food when we ran out on the last day. Saved us a trip to the store on the way home when we picked up Roo. Highly recommend them for pet sitting.

I love Personal and Pet Concierge. Linn and her team make traveling for work easy and stress free. I never worry about my cat anymore because I know he's in really good hands. While their services are 100% great, I want to highlight a couple areas in which I think P&PC excel. The first is communication. This is an important area for me (I'm a writing teacher) and I find that many petsitting agencies and individuals struggle to maintain adequate communication before an after my travels. P&PC have been wonderful communicators. They reply quickly to my efforts to schedule care for my pet. They send me updates (including images) while I'm away. And they are always clear about billing, visit schedules, etc. I couldn't ask for more. The second area is care. In the past, when I would return from a long trip my cat would be all out of sorts from a lack of TLC. Since I've been working with P&PC, he seems to barely notice that I've been away. This is because they visit him often and they treat him like he matters (like he's their own pet). It's not just about keeping food in his bowl. In sum, I can't recommend these folks any higher. I don't think you'll find better pet care in the area.

AMAZING! Our rescue Border Collie, Quinn, had always been a little apprehensive around other dogs, especially males. He spent a week with Linn & Mark and their bevy of guests. Quinn had the time of his life! He was exhausted and content when he got home. It has now been several months since his stay, and we continue to see the positive after-effects of his visit. He remains confident and more social. As a matter of fact, we had a true test shopping at the hardware store yesterday. Quinn was relaxed and social with a male dog, even sharing a treat! I took my baby Oliver, too be groomed after reading so many great things about this place!! They did not disappoint, too say the least. My dachshund is a long haired, 8 year old, who is somewhat nervous 😓 about having a groom!! When I dropped him off, I was still a little nervous about everything!! He had some dreads, and some matting on his belly, but when I picked him up, he looked great!! Most of all he looked unbelievably great, and was in a great mood!! His sister Olivia, is next in line!!!

We love bringing our boys here for their pup cuts. The pick up and drop off process is super easy, the staff is amazing, and the prices are just right! They also have boarding services and my boys can be a handful and they have no issues with them at all. Very grateful for Sylvan Pet Lodge and their team!

I bring my Shih Tzu every two weeks for bath and haircut and Kati is absolutely amazing she got my baby in a week earlier then his appointment so we can get a shorter haircut and I absolutely love it

We took our Corgi to Sylvan for grooming and they knocked it out of the park! Absolutely amazing 👏 I was very impressed and she will be return customer! We have also taken our husky/ German shepard there as well and they do a spectacular job on her also. SO Happy with Sylvan and will continue to use them for all of our future grooming needs.

Sylvan always does the best with my dogs! So attentive and knowledgeable about the animals in their care. Individual treatment and amazing customer service. I will continue to bring my dog here. The pup always comes home tired and happy!

We have boarded our two dogs at Sylvan several times now. We always appreciate that Sylvan required full vaccination of all pets before accepting. Our dogs are well cared for and the staff are friendly.

Sylvan is my go-to for boarding my pups when I have to travel. I tried several other places, but nowhere else is as reasonably priced and also great with the dogs. The indoor-outdoor kennel runs are fantastic, so the pups aren't cooped in a tiny box like at most places. Our first time there happened to be over July 4, and they put a ton of thought and care into how to best prepare for, support and comfort all their boarded dogs through what is often a stressful night.

I'm a crazy person with 6 dogs because I worked in the pet care industry for so long. Because of this, I'm super paranoid about where I take them, and I always worry about them when we have to leave them. Sylvan Pet Lodge is super down to earth, affordable, and our dogs are always super chill and clean when they come home to us! Owners and staff are so nice and accommodating. Very glad to have them in town so we can go on vacation without worrying too much about boarding our pups, and we can also afford our vacation too! Thank y'all!

We no longer need to board there but we still go for grooming. We’ve never had any issues with boarding or grooming. Our fur babies always seem happy and well taken care of and we trust them there
