We love Richard. He is so knowledgeable about dogs because he was a veterinarian technician before he opened his doggie daycare. My little doggie gets all excited when he knows he’s going to see Richard and his doggie friends ♥️

Richard and his wife are amazing. We were going on a trip and needed boarding for Molly, who was just a pup. To be honest, I was a hesitant because it’s so expensive! This is true with boarding in general, not specific to Barks and Purrs. Molly went for a trial stay and she passed the test. We left for our two week vacation and returned to a very happy dog. Richard and his wife took such good care of her. You could just tell by the way she was interacting with them. They gave us all the updates on her activities and behaviors. Worth every penny. Would not hesitate one second to hire Richard and his wife to care for Molly while we are away.

Barks and Purrs has been a five star experience for my very senior dog, Latté and me. When I pick her up after work she is always relaxed and content after a day of socializing and TLC. Richard's knowledge and rich experience in veterinary medicine and pet handling is reassuring - he knows exactly what to do if there's an emergency and is qualified to offer helpful advice and therapeutic services. The location is convenient with ample parking. Thank you, Barks and Purrs, for a big improvement in my dog's overall condition!

I was going to be out of town for a couple of weeks and was hesitant to board my epileptic dog in a vet kennel for that long but at the same time didn't want to pay so much for each dose of my dog's medications for other pet sitters. After weighing all of the options on Oahu (and Maui), I decided on Barks and Purrs and definitely felt this was the best decision for my dog. Having worked in a veterinary environment, Richard was very comfortable with my dog's condition and send me very detailed text with the time, duration, symptoms, and post-seizure behavior of my dog, giving me the peace of mind I needed while out of town. He also let our kids visit her while we were out of town which was very accommodating of him. My dog made new dog friends and was in great hands with Richard and his wife, and she is even a little better behaved after being socialized with his "pack." Thank you, Barks and Purrs!

Richard is awesome! He provides a safe and secure place for dogs. Our 9 month old puppy loves it here and we pick her up happy and tired! We're really glad to have found Barks and Purrs.

We chose Barks and Purrs once we found out it was operated by Richard. He used to work for our vet and took care of our cats and dogs. He genuinely cares for all animals and has a calming animal whisperer personality- definitely recommend as we are truly happy with his services and our dogs are well cared for.

Excellent care for your pet! I feel our dog gets a vacation. I think some folks use the day care services just because the environment is good for the pet. Tip: Plan ahead. They are always super busy.

Our dogs stay was beyond what we could have imagined. We brought our dog over for surgery from Kauai. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, our dog needed to stay an additional week longer than planned. Richard was amazing. Not only did he allow for our dog to stay with zero hesitation, He messaged us photos and communicated daily knowing both our dog and our family missed one another. Richards wife even came to give our dog more love and attention. We are forever grateful. 🐾💙

We can’t say enough about how much we love Barks and Purrs! We have used both the boarding and doggie day care services. We currently have two rescue dogs and Richard did a miraculous job socializing them to get along with each other and with other dogs! I would highly recommend Barks and Purrs to all my family and friends!!

This place is a very clean and nice cozy place. Richard is very helpful and kind to our cat. When I first walked in to the place, I was surprised that I didn't smell any pet store type of odor even though there were many dogs. He kept the place very clean. We were so impressed. My cat is not a easy cat, but Richard can handle magically. This place is very reliable so we will definitely come back!!

The Dogwalker Etc. experience is AWESOME! 🤩 from start to finish, everything was perfect! We love the portal where the Dogwalker posts pictures, writes notes, records on multiple topics (poop, per, water refill, meds administered etc). SO AMAZING!! The meet-n-greet the day before was easy to do and hardly took any time at all. The staff know what they’re doing and are friendly- super easy to work with! 10 outta 10 recommend !! 🙌

Loved them while we had a walker for our area in Aiea. Then he moved off island and they don’t have enough staff( look online it appears they have plenty but I’d say that’s very very inaccurate). 5 star for his care during short time we had him. Negative -1 for not having a replacement and/ or viable option and time offering needed.

We love the staff and people at Dog Walking Etc. They are all so genuinely great with our dog. I especially like the fact that when we board our dog, he stays at the host’s home and not a kennel. He gets to interact with the host family and pets. They all go walking and playing together which he loves and I like getting daily updates with pictures. We initially used DWE to have our dog walked weekly along with weekly field trips. He gets so excited as he waits for his outings. When his walker arrives, he gets super excited. See picture below on how he greets his walker. When he’s done and returned home, he is one happy and tired dog which is exactly what our German Shepard needs. We are so happy to have found DWE.

Don’t let the name fool you! If you’re looking for a cat sitter look no further than Dogwalker etc!! We are so grateful to have Erin and her awesome team of cat lovers for our two babies Stiker and Goldie. It’s clear that the company loves all animals but we felt very confident in their abilities for cats specifically. We traveled recently for spring break and had the Dog Walker team come in twice a day every day for two weeks. They did everything from cleaning & feeding to playtime to grooming and also taking care of our house too. We came back and found everything better than we left it. Thank you so much to Dogwalker etc and the whole team!

I’ve used dogwalker etc a few times for their dog walking services and dog sitting when we went on trips. It’s such a great service, they handle my difficult terriers (terrors) very well and the owner even came out once to assist the sitter with learning how to manage my dog. Coming from someone who has been turned away from doggy daycare, this was greatly appreciated!!! My dogs are very high energy, and intelligent, hence why I need a service. I also felt very comfortable leaving the island in this companies care, we got updates daily with photos, which is a nice touch. I will use this service again for sure.

We hired Ruth from Dogwalkers to doggie sit our fur baby while we were in Japan. We were super nervous since this was the first time leaving her with a stranger and we were out of country. Ruth is THE BEST. Rachael, the owner walked me through the process, gathered info and matched us up with Ruth. Ruth also came highly recommended by our neighbors. Our fur baby is very shy, so we hired Ruth to walk her before our trip to become familiar with Ruth. Ruth writes great detailed reports and the service includes daily photos which is great and comforting. Ruth even took out our trash bin and recycle bin and played with our fur baby. They really bonded. Ruth is great with animals. Ruth and Dogwalkers are pretty flexible about told return date in case of flight delays so your fur baby won’t be left hanging by themselves. We will definitely hire Ruth for future trips!

I have used Dogwalker ETC! on two different occasions and have been very happy with their service. The daily communication between the caregiver and pet owner is excellent. The staff are very professional and trustworthy. I felt at ease immediately after meeting the two people assigned to watch my pets and highly recommend this company and these wonderful, caring people.

When we took a trip in 2019, we needed someone to take care of our little girl for about 10 days. We found the perfect people who took excellent care of her! Misha was about 5 years old and this would be the first time we would be away for that length of time. Of course, we were concerned and apprehensive about how she would adjust in our absence. To our delight, she loved being with the dog sitter! The sitter would email videos of her daily activities and this gave us great comfort seeing her so content and happy. The personnel are so caring and genuine in making sure that your furry child is given the best care and they are also very professional. Highly recommended to entrust your dog in their care.

We used Dogwalker Etc for 9 days while away on a trip. Our girl was well taken care of, Ms. Sharee did an excellent job spending time and writing solid reports on how our dog was doing in our absence. I met Sharee before our trip and felt at ease with her. I explained to her all that was required, (you also write care instructions on their web portal) and we walked the usual route with my girl. I warned Sharee of all the neighborhood dogs that are possibly hostile and have broke off their leash in the past. I also warned Sharee that my dog could slide out of her collar (she's done so in the past) so beware of that, and that also my dog has bolted out of the house and went straight to the neighbor's dog that they keep tied up in the yard which I've been very leery of becoming unhinged at a blink of an eye. It can be nerve-wracking to leave your home and your pet to someone you just met, but Sharee was very professional and had been with the company for a long time so that put my mind at ease. Also, our dog is very strong, and I was a little worried that she would pull too hard down our stairs for someone unaccustomed to handling a larger dog, but Sharee has had a lot of experience with many types of dogs, and I felt confident that our girl was no issue for her. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for a pet sitter, and they are trustworthy. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Linda was a pleasure to work with about scheduling a pet attendant for our very special guest, Harvey. Linda paired us with Kim who was so sweet, very accommodating to our schedule, and took great care of our pup. We had a great meet and greet with Kim and she offered to attend the rehearsal as well. After the wedding ceremony, she took our dog back to our house, fed him dinner, kept him company for bit, and left a wedding card for us to find on the kitchen counter that evening. It meant the world to us for Harvey to attend the ceremony, be our ring bearer, and enjoy his puppy cake at the reception! I couldn’t recommend these lovely people more.

We flew our dog to Oahu with us for our wedding, and then we needed someone to watch her for a few days when we took a “mini moon” to Kauai. We reached out to Waikiki Wags and Linda was so kind and helpful. She paired us with a dog sitter named Heaven, who did an excellent job watching our dog for us. She was communicative and professional, and it was clear that our dog liked her right away. We definitely recommend Waikiki Wags! Thank you for everything!

Linda at Waikiki Wags goes above and beyond in her care for pets. Her absolute love for animals and laser focus with the pets she takes care of is outstanding. Her business is run very professional and she goes out of her way to accommodate. My hairless Chinese crested and Golden retriever mix knock me out of the way when she comes around. Any pet you have will be in supreme care with Waikiki Wags.

I used to drive my dog to a kennel until a friend recommended me to Waikiki Wags. My dog is social but prefers his comfortable home surroundings when I am gone. Thanks to Waikiki Wags I can accommodate him and know that he is in good hands. They feed my dog his specified diet, walk him on his familiar route, and are happy to fulfill any extra instructions. Plus if there is an emergency I can be contacted. I called Waikiki Wags on short notice a couple times and they were very accommodating. The owner (Linda) is very pleasant and she really loves animals. A great service really, and much needed for persons like myself. I know my dog approves because he wags his tail when Linda shows up.

I was in the hospital for back surgery for a week. Linda came twice a day to take care of my cat Toby. He is usually shy around people he doesn't know but I could tell how much he liked Linda from all the pictures she sent. He curled up next to her while she scratched his head. I knew he was happy. Linda did everything I asked her to. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

My friend who used to take care of my pet during my absence left the island so i had to do something since I still travel. Turns out Linda and her company was the best thing that ever happened to my pet (and me). Thank you Linda for all your loving care. Mindy says "meow-ouu" which means "thank you" in cat language.

I would recommend Waikiki Wags to anyone that needs a kind, dependable pet caregiver who has lots of experience and loves animals.

Breanna at waikiki pets pals is trustworthy and consistent! Her services provided are exactly as advertised and some. She sends pics and updates and does an amazing job about letting you know your pets are being properly cared for. She is extremely professional and I HIGHLY recommend her!

My dog, Lady, is a rescue and I’ve never felt comfortable boarding her so the fact that they do home visits is a godsend. Lady is easy going but loves attention so I typically choose to have 3 visits a day. Breanna always goes above and beyond to make sure Lady is comfortable and I love that she always sends a ton of pictures from their walks and couch cuddle sessions. The only people I trust to take care of my pup when I need to go out of town!

Highly recommended pet service! We were hesitant having a stranger come into our home to care for our fur baby while on a trip, but we were immediately put at ease after meeting with Breanna and her team. They have great communication (gave us an update after each visit) and followed any specific instructions we left. They use an app for all communication which made it convenient to keep in touch, especially during international travel. We will definitely be using their services again! In fact we already have her booked for an upcoming trip. 😁

Breanna has been walking my boy Milo for almost a year now. As a nurse my schedule is very random and Breanna has been incredible in helping to accomodate & ensure Milo gets a walk during my long shifts. She has been amazing organizing evening walks to assist with night shifts, and weekends as well. She is wonderful with Milo and won him over very fast despite him being an anxious little guy. I can't recommend Breanna and her team enough, she has really made an incredible difference for us.

Great service! Breanna and her team are fantastic! I trust Waikiki Pet Pals implicitly with my 2 cats. They have always been very professional and loving to my cats. Plus I really enjoy the updates with pictures I receive via their app at each visit. The app makes it super easy to communicate with them and is a great tool for billing too. The best doggy daycare on the island. Anna is simply the best. The daycare is on a beautiful property with a large backyard and access to a private beach. More importantly, Anna is very mindful of my dog’s needs. She always makes sure to wipe my dog’s paws before I get her and gives me updates with photos and videos throughout the day. I would highly recommend!!

We are very thankful that we found Anna and Brady [and Lily] because traveling was impossible due to the fact that we couldn’t figure out who to leave our sweet little Toast with. Now, we have a “second family” for our furry one to stay with whenever we need to be away. They keep her active and happy. Plus, she gets to spend time with her sweet friend, Lily.

Been using Island Paws Retreat for the past 1-2 months. Due to a difficult work schedule requiring me to be off Island a lot with nobody at home to care for our dog. We were anxious trying to find the right someone that would take care of our dog. Very happy to have found Island Paws Retreat. They have a very flexible schedule for pick up/drop off, very easy to communicate with and take very good care of our dog. Very good at updating us with pictures or videos of her having fun with their own dog or at the park. We can tell she's being well taken care off. Would 100% recommend!

This retreat is absolutely amazing exceeded my expectations when looking for a safe happy environment for my golden retriever. Anna & Brady were phenomenal constantly doing fun activities with my dog being extremely attentive and giving me daily updates. Very reasonable on pricing and overall wouldn’t ever think to go anywhere else! They were responsive and willing to take my puppy within less than a days notice for almost a week they are amazing!!

I can't express enough how grateful I am to Anna, Brady, and Lily for taking such wonderful care of my puppy, Fozzie Bear, while I was away on a quick work trip. I was initially very nervous about leaving Fozzie, but Anna's exceptional care and attention put my mind at ease immediately. Throughout my trip, I received numerous pictures and video updates, and it was clear that Fozzie was having a fantastic time. Our 2 dogs had a great time at Island Paws retreat. We had daily updates and the dogs had other dogs to play with and a large yard. Anna and Brady were attentive to our dogs' and family's needs. We will definitely be using them in future trips!

Great place if you need a place to board your doggo or stay for a while. Staff is very friendly and will also tell you how your dog did while you were away. They also have a webcam that you can access in case you're missing your doggo and can see what they are up to. Highly recommend this place.

Great in town location. Has cameras for the small and big dog rooms. So you can watch your pup while you're working. Also affordable and has a boarding option. Only knock... hard to find parking.

I chose this daycare mainly because of the camera system, I really liked the idea of being able to check in on my dog. Upon our first visit, I found the staff to be friendly. I only brought my dog here twice and have since decided we will not be back due to a couple of reasons. First, the camera system, at least in the little dog area, is not always accessible. Sometimes they cover it with a piece of fabric so you cannot see anything and I find that odd. Also, the smell of this place is VERY strong and every time I picked my dog up I needed to give him a bath to get the smell off of him, which obviously is not ideal. Another issue I had was that while they said my dog was very friendly they complained about him having anxiety/barking, which seems a little unreasonable for a dog daycare. The last time I had picked him up he was secluded in a cage by himself. Due to his separation anxiety they somehow thought that it would be better for him to be alone, which makes no sense. Considering you pay almost $50 a day for your dog to be there, I find it unacceptable that he would be placed in a cage alone for simply being anxious. I would not recommend that other people bring their dog here.

We've been taking our fur baby here for over five years and he loves it! Our dog has separation anxiety that if we left him home alone, he'd bark the whole time. While at ODDC, he's gets to run around and get belly rubs (when he's not being anti-social) from his favorite humans. They separate the dogs by size (little vs big dog rooms) and you can watch your fur baby interact. Once we pick him up, he's so tired that he sleeps well into the next day.

Friendly service, great prices, accessible, and I always feel comfortable leaving my pup here. He comes back happy and tired every time! I’d recommend it to anyone needing daycare. The workers really seem to care about the dogs, and the cameras confirm it.

Smells awful, bad service for the price. They tend to yell at the dogs instead of talking to them. The new girl they hired is not friendly and have been seen dragging a dog in the restricted area.

We were visiting Oahu for a month and brought our dog with us. There were places we could not take our dog during the day and had Ohana Doggie Day Care to watch her during the day on a couple occasions. The employees we dealt with were incredibly nice and treated our dog really well. They were easy to work with and their rates were very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for the day care, we didn't try their other services (boarding, grooming, etc)

We moved to Honolulu several months ago with one of our three dogs (the other two are with family on the mainland until we return). My dog has separation anxiety because she is not used to being alone. I am SO thankful I found Ohana Doggie Daycare. My dog goes there while I am at work and she loves it. The staff is extremely friendly and in the morning rush, they get you in and out in seconds! They have taken so much stress off our family because we know our dog is happy and having fun while we are away.

My 10 year old Shorkie really engaged with the doggies and employees today. There is a doggie cam so you can watch and see what your fur baby is up to throughout the day. It was neat seeing the staff sit on the floor and petting the cute fluff nuggets. Maddie got her share of attention. She will sleep good tonight!

I don't understand why they keep messing up his ears, 2nd time this year. Not Happy! Raised the Prices and the results are Crappy! How hard is it to see the Difference, Especially when they have been told since the last time they messed up, to leave the ears alone... Time for a Change I guess!!

I have to say how absolutely thankful I am to Ashley and her staff! It is such a relief to have a place my little fur boy is kept safe and is so happy to go to. He is excited when we arrive and he can’t wait to get inside to play with his friends! Being he has to do daycare and board while I work, I am grateful to have some peace of mind that he’s well taken care of while I have to be gone. When I come to pick him up, he is happy and is like he just walked out from playing and having too much fun! I’m so grateful to his aunties there that take care of him. I’m sorry I don’t know everyone’s names, but a special thank you to all of them and Ashley, Kylie, Rachel!!! 😁🌈❤️ Our fur kids couldn’t be in better hands! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

My baby Lucky was trimmed beautifully! He normally does not do well at the groomers but he was such a good boy! And their prices are excellent!

If there could be 0 stars I would give them 0. My dogs were always welcome and regular guests here for well over a year. With no notice they refuse to board my dog during an emergency when I have to leave the island. The owner explained that she cannot provide a safe atmosphere for my animal overnight after giving him nothing but glowing report cards for every stay. This place is a disappointment.

Leaving our dog for the first time while we went on vacation was really tough for my family and me. We were worried about finding someone we could trust to take care of him. That’s when I came across a place called Furever Friends on social media and thought we’d give them a try. Right from the beginning, their staff was very welcoming and friendly. They quickly answered all our questions, which made us feel much more relaxed. While we were away, they sent us photos and updates about our dog, Chewie. It was such a relief to know he was being well cared for. We’re definitely planning to return and may even send him to daycare just so he can play with other dogs for fun!

I was a nervous wreck when I had to board my dog for the first time. Furever friends eased all my worries, always sent a reply when I asked for updates. Every photo that was sent showed how much fun my girl was having! I would definitely board with them again! And Denali loved it too!

My dog loves going to Furever Friends for daycare and boarding. He always has a great time playing with his friends and getting lots of attention. They have many special events and are even available for dog birthday parties. It’s conveniently located near Fort Shafter. They also board cats which is a huge convenience to be able to take both pets to the same place when I need to go out of town.

Furever Friends is a great place for your furry family to have a staycation while you’re on vacation. We’ve used them for years. Wendy and her team have taken good care of our furry family while we traveled abroad. Conveniently located on Ahua St in the Mapunapuna area on Oahu.

We love Furever Friends for daycare and boarding. We received updates, photos, and knew that our dog was in good hands while we were away. Communication is easy and consistent and our dog is all smiles when she leaves. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to safely leave your dog.

My Pua always stays at Furever Friends when I am traveling. They take care of him really good and he always happy over there! He is a senior dog and not many boarding place accepts seniors, but Furever Friends always welcomes him. Thank you for making him happy!!

We are so glad we found Furever Friends. Our beagle loves going there. We've used them a couple of times for daycare and once (so far) for a "Staycation". The dogs are so well cared for. The staff I have dealt with have been professional, and caring. It is clear they love dogs. Their rates are reasonable and they are very upfront about the costs.

The facilities are clean, well-equipped and offering different fun activities providing a welcoming environment for pets of all sizes My fur baby Shelby enjoyed playtime and socialization with other pets. I also appreciated the regular updates and photos sent while I was away, which gave me peace of mind. My favorite boarding and doggy daycare in Honolulu! They are not only my pets favorite but my favorite place to leave my dear pups! I highly recommend! And, at Thanksgiving, I highly recommend their Thanksgiving dinner for your dogs! Even if you are boarding your pups, you can still purchase and let me tell you my pups ate it up! The presentation was amazing as well as the taste of the meal because all three enjoyed it so much! I can't wait to order next year!! Again, highly recommend!!!!!

Lee Ann has done a fantastic job at this location on King Street! The play areas, the cozy suites, and the televisions for the pups makes it a great home away from home for our fur babies! On a personal note, the first time we left them I was, admittedly nervous about how my pups who were rescued, would do away from us. Lee Ann not only assured me they would be well taking care of; she sent me photos of them as well! The second time we took them to the King Street location, they ran to the door and with front paws on the door! They were WAITING to be let in! This made me smile! I've now taken 2 dogs to this establishment, one elder, high and special needs 100+ lb dog, and now a rough and rowdy puppy with a ton of energy. K9SS has handled both cases appropriately and with care. I utilize both daycare for dog-to-dog socialization, and overnight boarding services for when I need to go off island. The small dog-to-handler ratio just made this a much better fit for me and my dogs and they've always returned home happy and healthy, and I really loved that I could trust them with even the most complicated treatment plans for my big old boy who crossed the rainbow bridge, making his last few years the best ever despite all of his health complications. K9SS is a dog owner's and dog's best bet for daycare and boarding on island, hands down!

Warm and caring staff helps our senior pup feel comfortable as she transitioned to being kenneled @ K9 SS. It put our minds at ease when they sent pictures of our pup relaxing with some new pup friends. Can't tell you how much that simple act of kindness meant to us!

Lee-Ann and the staff at K9 are wonderful! You can tell everyone loves dogs & they treat your pup like ohana. It is truly personalized service. Our pup loves going and you can tell how happy he is every time we drop him off. The pricing and packages are also very fairly priced, an excellent value. K9 takes wonderful care of my dog! The staff is attentive, caring, and is the perfect resource for me as a new pet owner. My dog is a pit-mix adoptee from the humane society, and they had no qualms about trying him out with the other dogs. My puppy is exhausted when he gets home, but endlessly happy! He practically drags me to the door as we walk there (which of course we're working on in training lol)! I am so happy I chose them for my doggie daycare needs!

I've seen miracles happen thanks to Lee-Ann, Joyce, and the wonderful team at K9! My 12 year old JoJo was not accepted by K9's competitor. In fact, we were rudely denied by K9's competitor's lousy place. By the grace of God, K9 came to my rescue (and JoJo's)! From day one, I could see the positive difference in my pet. For a change, he was happy to be around people and other dogs, he wasn't having anxiety when I dropped him off, and there is picture proof on all K9's social media accounts that #JoJoBear truly loves being there. It gives me great peace of mind that JoJo is safe AND having fun every time he is there for daycare. I am especially grateful that the loving K9 Team is quick to respond, even on my last minute requests/changes. JoJo's been to two other doggy day care service providers and by far, K9 Secret Service is the absolute best! Praise the good Lord for K9 Secret Service :)

Our dog seemed ok there, however both times she came home with some open scrapes on her . That was concerning. On a week long off island trip the owner was super nice about giving daily updates with pictures.

My doggo has been going here for a year now. He definitely enjoys it and looks forward to seeing the staff and his fellow doggie friends. Staff ensures he eats and makes sure he’s happy throughout the day. Definitely going to continue bringing him (: Especially since he’s so excited he jumps out of the car everytime I go to drop him off 😂

My dog is always overly excited when we pull up for his day of daycare. He loves it and when we get home he's all tuckered out which is great for me after a long day. The staff treat him well and have always been extremely accommodating. Highly recommend. Prices are typical of the area.

We had a very positive experience boarding our dog with special medical needs. We felt she was well cared for and she came back happy. The staff communicated well with us too. And we love the dog cams!

Our dog loves this place because it is spacious and the staff are nice. We have boarded our dog multiple times already. We trust them and we are also able to view how she is doing through video cameras daily. Thank you taking care of Hobak!

My daughter's dog loves it here. We love that we're able to watch him on the pet cam. Everyone there is always happy to see our boy. They truly care for the dogs in their charge. Always clean and is well maintained.

Kinda small for the price. My German shepherd puppy was shaking from fear when we entered, so I didn't end up leaving her there. An associate crowded her space while she was terrified, and she retreated; ending up in a corner. I asked her to give her space, and she did right away. They were very respectful and refunded the deposit. They agreed she shouldn't be there. 3 stars because I was envisioning an indoor basketball court sized environment from the advertising. Also smack dab in the middle of cracktown. They said they would of walked her outside, but there was no way I would want her walking in that waste and glass. They positively would have respected that request, but then again the space was small for an extended stay. Definitely not 1 star, if your dog thrives in that environment, the staff was really nice. Underwhelming is a good word for the space.

Every pawrent wants to take their fur baby somewhere that treats their little one like ohana and I can say, categorically, that is Ali’i. We’ve been taking Sunny to Ali’i for just over two years now for his veterinary, grooming, and daycare needs. Having everything in one place has so many benefits: 1. His medical records and needs are always being considered - Sunny gets allergies and has at times needed special spray for hot spots or even to be pulled out of daycare for his allergy shot or a check-up. It puts my mind at ease knowing he’s in their care. 2. Grooming can happen at in the same day with daycare so I don’t have to make extra stops. 3. It’s a familiar place so he doesn’t stress for all of his different needs and just trots right in. I can’t thank the whole staff over at Ali’i Unleashed enough for taking care of my little man, like a birthday photo shoot (thank you Peggy and everyone who got him to pose! they’re my absolute favorite pictures) and giving me updates on his day - even when they’re funny/embarrassing ones (thank you Kea!). Also a shout out to Manny & Hae who keep this chow mix looking fresh - it’s a lot of hair and my vacuum appreciates your work 😂

My baby deserves the best care I can provide when I’m not around and this is my choice.

Will mistreat your pet, unprofessional and rude service. Do not recommend this location.

Update: my dog just recently moved to Hawaii & I took him to Aloha Dog for grooming. Another fantastic haircut! He wasn’t anxious when my mom picked him up from the groomer, and groomer did not mention any complaints about Pookie. His haircut is amazing & so is his St. Patrick’s day photo op! Naoko is usually his primary groomer since she is experienced with Poodles and senior dog grooming. She is so patient and kind to Pookie!! I really, truly appreciate her work and kind heart! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First time taking my dog there and they were very welcoming and friendly! And excellent price point! I got my dog basic cleaning which was $41 plus some change, and they cut her nails, cleaned her ears, private parts cleaning, bathed her; this would cost like $50+ at Petco or PetSmart. It’s clean and all the dogs there looked very happy. I definitely recommend and will be bringing back Cleo

I have an incredibly shy puppy and was very hesitant to take him to a daycare, worrying that it would be too stressful of an environment. But with the love and attention that the employees give, it's now his favorite place to go. I have so much appreciation for everything they do. They really treat your dog like family and make daycare a fun place.

We have a pretty unruly little pup (read: he is a snappy gremlin that doesn't even handle brushing well), and Aloha Dog has been incredible with him! We've been taking him for years and always get a consistently clean cut. I don't know how they do it, but they will always be highly recommended in my book.

Friendly service and easy to get an appointment. I go for the regular grooming package that includes nail trim which takes about 90 minutes. As with most five star groomers they even email you a seasonal portrait of your cleaned up loved one.

It's the best daycare you're going to find for your dog on this island. The staff there are very knowledgeable and resourceful of all breeds especially regarding training and care. They're always taking pictures of each dog and posting on Facebook so every owner can check up on them. They have doggy Birthday parties like you've never seen before.

Best dog boarding in hawaii! Cage free, staff are very kind and love our dogs. Grooming is also top quality and they post picture of the daily activities on Facebook so we can be updated on our 4-legged friends at all times! Highly recommended

The cut wasn’t perfect (which is understandable because my dog is difficult) but it was fast and relatively well priced.

Called on a Saturday to schedule a grooming appointment for my two dogs. They told me to call back on Monday, and gave me some reason that I couldn’t understand. I called another groomer. If you can’t take a minute to schedule an appointment, I have a hard time having faith in you handling my dogs.

Aloha Dog gives my puppy Harold such love and care every time I take him in for grooming. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure their dog is treated the same way as they treat them.
