Family vacation on the Island and could not find a pet-friendly place - we boarded our border collie puppy (high maintenance!!) with Tom & Lucy for almost 2 weeks with some visitation and outings. Tom was fantastic in managing the puppy dynamics in a very thoughtful, patient, and loving way and Lucy was so gentle and tolerant. Lucy is a little savant and Tom truly understands dogs. He was responsive, reliable, and easy to talk to. We strongly recommend their service.

Tom took my Lucy kinda last minute & she was ‘family’ immediately. He kept me aprised with updates the whole time. Replaced a harness that she got out of. Sent pictures. Was sensitive to my hospitalization situation & as flexible as one could ask for. Excellent reports, prompt to answer calls & messages. Great prices. Beautiful fenced backyard…. I recommend him, will use him again with zero hesitation

Tom is a lovely person and loves dogs! His little beagle Lucy is very cute and friendly. They both take excellent care of our dog! When we walk our dog past Tom's house, he drags us to the door!

First time our dog was boarded, they told us not to come back. Tom and the luscious Lucy, the beagle, welcomed him into their house and onto Lucy's couch. Walks, treats and fun. We'll be back. Thank you Tom and Lucy.

Our Jo Jo really enjoys his vacation here. They really take great care of him. We always leave him here during our trips. It’s great to see pictures of him playing, which is posted everyday on their Facebook page. Thank you for taking great care of our little man!

Our dog is torn between coming home and staying there. Every time. Any other kennel he can't get out fast enough.

Animal Magic made it very easy for us to schedule boarding for our dog. They were very responsive and accommodating. The service provided was exemplary and special thanks to Sydney. All-in-all our dog was very happy and we are very happy. Definitely recommend them to anybody looking for a place for their pup.

The only place I would ever take my dogs to stay when we are away. They take absolutely wonderful care of our dogs and we always feel that our fur babies are well looked after and love while we are on holidays. They are a full-service dog kennel and we always have our dogs groomed by them before we pick them up , they just do an absolutely awesome job.

Mick is an exceptional dog trainer using positive reinforcement. He's certified in the Karen Pryer method. He gives you homework to work on between sessions so the learning for you and your dog never stops. Highly recommend. Mick and Karen also do dog walks, some boarding, and visits to your home for both cats and dogs. Karin is amazing with cats. Many years of experience. Many trainings and certifications. Bonded, insured, etc. You can feel confident that your fur babies and your home are in very good hands.

Mick is an awesome trainer & individual. Our maremma, Storm, took to him like family. He really helped us with our 130 lb pup. At 15 mos he was still a pup. I highly recommend PetsatHome. We are going to continue Storm's training with Mick.

This is truly the only 5 Star dog hotel on the island. My dogs love it here, and when I travel I get good communications should anything need to be addressed. They follow the feeding rules and keep my dogs healthy and happy. No better place to be.

We left our precious fluff ball Joey Joe the cat at Errington for an extended stay and picked him up today. What can I say he is calm fluffy well groomed well fed the epitome of a pampered puss. The staff at Errington went out of their way to make sure he wasn't lonely he received so much love. As an anxious cat purrent 😎they put up with my constant emails enquiring for his health and answered with pics and details. Every instruction re food grooming and special needs was met...We cannot thank all the staff at Errington enough so much appreciated a special shout out to Michelle. We will not be leaving Joey Joe anywhere else ..I might add we are on the mainland but the car and ferry journeys was absolutely worth it and we will be returning Kindest regards to all Maria Wayne and JJJ🐾

I boarded my pet at Errington Pet Lodge for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The staff are professional & welcoming, & the stalls for your pets are very clean & well managed. There are separate areas for both big & small dogs, & each have a roomy backyard where they can all run & play outdoors. Two hours 12 - 2pm are devoted to attending to the dogs & their play time. I'm impressed with this facility overall, & I feel my pet was given the attention & care needed to make her feel at home. I will definitely use this facility again.

Our family have been taking our animals to Errington Pet lodge for many years. It has been great to see the improvements that Tara and James have made since they purchased it. Our two cats Phoebe and Olive have spent the last couple of months there since we are in a moving transition. They are so well cared for there, the enclosures are always clean and tidy. I would never take our cats anywhere else. We will miss them!!

We would never have our dog stay anywhere else other than this amazing place. The owners and staff are professional, kind, honest and go above and beyond. The facilities are clean and the animals in their care are healthy and happy. We have a high energy pure bred lab who loves people and other dogs and we never worry that he won’t be looked after and cared for any differently than he would be at home. They have earned our trust in a world where that is hard to do. I would recommend the Errington Pet Lodge to anyone and everyone we know.

We visited Errington Pet Lodge (unannounced) twice before entrusting them with care of our 2 small dogs & cat. The facility is aging, but super clean & odor free. The staff are calm, knowledgeable, & confident. Our 3 pets spent just over 2 weeks @ Errington Pet Lodge & came home looking well cared for & feeling just fine. We had both dogs bathed & one groomed prior to check out. They both looked great. This was our first experience with boarding and it was a good one. We will definitely use this facility again.

My dog was well cared for and loved at Errington Pet lodge, between the daily walks the exit baths and the country setting the lodge has it . Sadly we moved from the Island and it took us 9 months to find a kennel even comparable. The team there is pretty amazing.We miss the Island and Errington Pet Lodge. Thanks Tara and James

This was the best boarding experience that we have had for our two small dogs in many attempts (with different places). They have great facilities and a caring staff. We travel to the Parksville area a couple times per year and feel that we have found our boarding facility for when we cannot take the dogs with us. We went towards the end of the summer and found the facilities clean and exceptionally well kept. The dog obviously ate appropriately and settled very quickly when they returned to us. They ran around said goodbye to the staff when we left. Very much appreciated Tara and James and we will see you in the future.

Amazing staff, and facilities! The place is super clean, large spaces for dog boarding and big yards for then to play in. The staff are super accommodating and take great care of our dog, who needs some special care. We feel comfortable having them look after our doggo.

Wonderful accommodating staff and a great location! Our dog loves to spend the day at the daycare and has to be sure to hug each staff before he leaves. He gets excited as soon as we pull onto the road. He gives it 4 paws up!

I've been handing over 2 large dogs to a very capable staff, no issues, and great care for two plus years running. Dogs can't wait to get there each time, tuckered out on the way home, perfect!

LOVE this place and would be lost without it! My Chocolate Lab full is full of energy and this is the perfect place for her. She is very tired when I pick her up at the end of the day, just the way I like her! The staff is very knowledgeable and kind with all the animals. They take the time to play with them and keep a good eye on the interaction with the other dogs. I find the cost very reasonable and the girls super easy to get along with. 5 stars in my book!

Been taking my small dog here for over 8 years and love how he's all played out and tired at the end of the day. The hours work well for work schedules. Lots of big dogs here but the Crew always make sure that dogs of all sizes are welcome and have a safe place to socialize.

My dog loves it and the ladies are fantastic. They are great about painting videos so you can see your furry friends having fun and are very helpful about accommodating your pet.

I take my boxer there once a week.. he LOVES it. He gets super excited when he realizes that he is going to the playcare for the day. The staff is fantastic and friendly. Tigger gets so tired from playing all day that my husband and I usually head out for the night (dinner, movie, climbing) without feeling bad on days that Tig goes to the playcare. We usually don’t do that during the week because Tigger has to stay home alone all day so we always feel bad leaving him, but not when he goes to the playcare. I do recommend Dog Star.. it's awesome.

The best! My pup loves it here and it has been a great socialization tool. The staff and other dogs are all awesome.

Misinformed about their services was very disappointed travelling from out of town thinking the whole time they had a safe area for smaller dogs that dont like big dogs then to find out they have one huge room with tons of huge dogs that they were spraying in the face with water to get them to stop barking....might be a great place for big dogs but not tailored to a smaller pet

I discovered Daisy’s when I overheard a owner at a dog park mention how much she loved them and instantly found my way to their website. My boy is so excited every-time we turn down the street to Daisy’s. The staff are patient, kind, and genuine. Seeing the progress he has made in a few short months is amazing. If I could give six stars I would. Our dogs spent their first day here and when we picked them up they were tired and relaxed. Not stressed. Not smelly. I plan to use Daisy's next time I am vacationing in parksville. The location is ideal for dog owners staying on Resort drive who cannot leave their pets unattended for the day.

Daisy's is the best. We tried another place in town because it was cheaper and it was a mistake. Absolute chaos that did nothing to help our guy with his manners or socialization. We will be back at Daisy's for life now. They are calm and kind.

Daisy's is awesome. The staff are friendly and obviously love the dogs, and they have been amazing with my shih tzu mix puppy Molly! Chelsea goes to the next level to take care of her, even packing her around in a sling when she's tired, and is a super positive influence on our training. Highly recommend!

Our dog was returned with no signs of stress (great!) although he was a little dehydrated (not great) and smelled like a kennel (not great) to the point he needed to be bathed. The staff are friendly, competent and always give an informed but informal report of how things went during his stay (great!).

Pup was taken well care of. The girls are so friendly! Gave me an email update with pictures while I was away for the week. He ran back in the building to say bye.

I just had my GSD stay at Del Norte for nine days and I must say he was well taken care of and my mind was at ease the whole time. I will definitely use this kennel service in the future. Thank you to all the caring staff

We have a fear reactive dog and they were able to accommodate his stay. He gets super excited apon arrival and is clearly well taken care of while on his visits. We will not go anywhere else for both our dogs :)

Our dog went for a last minute stay for a couple nights and they took good care of her. Everyone was friendly and the whole process was fast, efficient and made very easy to book, check in and pick up my dog. Will definitely be using again in future when needed!

Del Norte is looking after our Husky for 6 weeks and we can’t say enough for how attentive and great they have been! Allowing friends and family to stop by to visit him and to take him out/play etc. Kokomo loves going there and the staff are always so excited to see him.

Sarah and her staff at Del Norte are dog-centred people who understood how to let my dog, Jude, feel safe, welcomed, and accepted with patience and smiles. Literally, life savers over the past two years. So grateful!

We had a great experience with Nansey providing walking services for our elderly dog, Cadence. She was even able to accommodate a meet and greet on fairly short notice; we appreciated that she took the time to understand the needs of our dog. We loved receiving the cute photos/videos as well. It was great having peace of mind and knowing our dog got the exercise she needed. I’m sure we will utilize her services again :)

I was delighted to find out there was an in-home alternative to a boarding kennel for our beloved pup for the duration of our recent family vacation. Nancey took great care of him. She kept me updated via text and sent photos and videos regularly. It was a huge bonus that our dog's stay with Nancey overlapped with another dog's, and the two of them played happily all week long. I wouldn't hesitate in having Nancey care for our dog again. Thank you for your good loving care Nancey and for keeping me so regularly updated!

Nansey was very kind to accommodate us for a last-minute request to keep our dogs before we had to travel. She took very good care of our two dogs, though she had a little trouble with them on leash because I've been lax lately with my training (sorry Nansey!). They usually run freely in our yard and aren't used to being on leash very much. She sent us good updates and photos for the few days we were away, which we appreciated very much. Overall, a positive experience.

Nansey is a very caring and detail oriented dog sitter. She follows all the rules I have for my dog which is very important for a young puppy. I'm very happy for her help!

Nansey did a wonderful job caring for our dog Louie when I had to travel for work. Louie is an elderly chihuahua who needs daily medication and I was nervous about leaving him with a pet sitter. Nansey is kind and patient, she answered all of my questions beforehand and provided photos of Louie and updates while I was away. It was great to see him snuggled right up to her and sleeping on her lap! I would definitely recommend Happiest Pup Pet Services.

Our little boy Bernie had a great time staying with Nansey. He can be slow to warm up to new people, but he was comfortable with Nansey right away. We really appreciated the updates, photos and videos that Nansey sent while we were away.

Nansey took the time to meet with our highly anxious pup Ellie a couple times before she stayed the night to help her with the transition. We're grateful to have a good sitter nearby that's willing to work with Ellie's stranger danger. Ellie was nervous at first but had lots of fun during her stay.

Nansey is a highly professional, trustworthy person who has always given my pup the very best service. She sends videos of her visits and to see my usually anxious dog greet her with enthusiasm tells me the Nansey has formed a bond and is welcomed by my little one! I am often gone for an entire day and hiring Nansey to care for my girl alleviates a tremendous amount of worry for me, knowing that she is in good hands with an obvious animal-lover! I highly recommend Happiest Pup Pet Services, you will not regret it!

I cannot express the gratitude I have for Nansey. I have an extremely anxious rescue and I've had such difficulty finding care for him because he is so sensitive to his environment and doesn't handle being away from his humans well. Thirty minutes after I dropped Winston, Nansey sent me this photo. Definitely not a photo of an anxious dog. I also really appreciate the photos and strong communication after I dropped him off. I was able to relax, knowing my best friend was happy. Nansey really gets it. :,)

Happy Hounds has been a life saver for me!!! The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly! The warehouse space is super clean and all the dogs are organized very professionally! My Rottweiler has been going for about 18 mos now and loves going! He is treated with lots of love and care. The prices are also very reasonable!! I highly recommend Happy Hounds for any pet owner looking for a great, fun place - with peace of mind for your fur baby!!!

We just love the staff here so much!! I talk about them to my dog when we are home and he does the cutest head tilt, like he knows just who I'm talking about. I always know my bestie is well cared for and loved when he is there.

Best Doggy Daycare EVER. Hands down. If you’re debating wether or not to take your dog here, do it. These wonderful people are so genuinely caring about all the dogs they take care of and they really know what they are doing. I took my dog here while we were working on separation anxiety while I couldn’t leave him at home. I had a lot of concerns and wasn’t sure how he would react as he’s a rescue and we’re both still figuring all that out. But Tracy (who is truly the most calming and lovely person ever) put all my anxieties to rest and told me how he did and made me feel so secure in leaving him there. I’m the 6 months I was taking him everyone got to know him and me, Maya and Jade are fantastic people as well and always cheery and happy to be there. They’re just as great with people as they are with dogs they all have wonderful advice and helped me out as much as they did my dog. I really can’t thank the whole team at Happy Hound enough! You all are amazing and missed dearly! ❤️

Before I start my review, I just want to say this is the first daycare I brought my dog for. So I don’t have a huge experience for other locations. I find them very accommodating and very sweet. Also, I do like the deal if you spend money on groom, it will be a discount for any times you want to pay for. It’s a little costly for $200 for 50 hours. That’s about a week and some wiggle room if you have a job that requires a lot of overtime. So I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to have their dog in a safe location while they work.

Great staff and our pup is always been treated with love and respect. He is adored and welcomed each and every visit. We always ask about his day, what dogs he has played with and we get a full and complete report. We also are friends with other people that drop their dogs off so we get reports about what our guy is up to. We trust the staff and owner and have for years. When we start preparing for that, he’s going to happy homes, he definitely give us all the happy signals, and play bows to let us know, he loves it there!

We have been taking our dog there since October; however my parents have been bringing their dog there for almost 10 years, and other family members had their dogs attend as well. Every time I drop of either dog they are eager to go in and start playing. The dogs get monthly grooming and Fraser is great communicating any concerns or receiving feedback. Tracey always greets the dogs by name and is lovely to talk to. I would highly recommend this daycare for your pups!
