Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Lani is an excellent Pet Sitter and housesitter. Communication was easy, our pet Cleo appreciated her loving care. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat. I would happily ask Lani to housesit again.
Samantha and Scott are great sitters and we enjoyed hearing from them a couple of times while we were away. Our pets were very relaxed and happy too! Very happy to recommend them.
Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
Sharon was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had! From the very first time we connected, she was communicative and proactive with follow up. She asked great questions prior to her stay and I could tell she’s done this many times and that she genuinely cares about the pets and homes she cares for. Sharon went above and beyond to leave my house in ever better shape, cleaning and organizing. It was a dream to come home to! Thank you Sharon!
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
Exceptional Pet Sitters - Highly Recommend Diedre and Keith! I am thrilled to leave a glowing review for our trusted house and pet sitters, Diedre and Keith. They took exceptional care of our long-haired cat, Molly, and our home during our absence. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and their communication was top-notch. Dierdre and Keith provided regular updates, including delightful pictures of Molly, which put our minds at ease while we were away. Upon our return, it was evident that Molly had been well cared for and was content. The genuine love and understanding Diedre and Keith have for both dogs and cats was apparent in their interactions with Molly, and it was clear that they had made her feel comfortable and secure in their care. Their friendly and professional demeanor made the entire experience truly enjoyable. In addition to taking great care of our beloved pet, Diedre and Keith ensured that our home was in excellent condition upon our return. They even went the extra mile by informing us about the leftovers they left in the fridge, which was a thoughtful gesture. I wholeheartedly recommend Diedre and Keith as exceptional pet and house sitters. Their attentive and caring approach, coupled with their expertise, make them a perfect choice for anyone seeking reliable and trustworthy sitters. Don't hesitate to entrust your home and pets to this fantastic duo!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.

This place was Tremendous!!!! They took great care of our kittycat, Matchka who was fighting mammary gland cancer. The woman who was running things was an Angel and let us visit her every morning. Matchka hissed at her & everyone else but this amazing woman lived Matchka regardless and took extra special care of her. I would recommend this place to everyone. Matchka had a better view than we did at our resort because she had a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan out her gigantic window.
The ownership and staff is so friendly and the best part is my dogs love to be boarded here! My dogs literally pull me into the facility at drop off.
Love 😘 my daisy always get good care what a difference Marianne is the best …
They take great care of your pet. They love our pup and he is always in great shape when we pick him up. They do very well with pets who need medication and a little extra TLC. He loves this place!
Staff here are wonderful with the animals and spend a bit of time with each pet that is staying at their resort. The layout of the facility is great, insofar as when a cat comes in for a stay, s/he doesn't have to be taken past any barking dogs to get to her/his boarding area and vice versa. My cat was a guest here for about a week and I had an opportunity to go in to visit with her. The cat room was quiet and peaceful and the spaces were large and luxurious.
Easy to spot off of the highway. Plenty of parking and the owners do a very good job of keep spots open and snow and ice plowing in the winter. There are some very lively birds when you enter, as well as a few different knick-knacks to buy. Reasonable prices on these, but their bathing prices cannot be beat. My dog is always clean and fresh and a ton of hair removed from him. They send him off in a handsome little bandana and we keep coming back! I highly recommend this place! Very friendly staff and their work is wonderful!
I go to Walmart every 2 weeks. With the remodeling it has been talking a little longer. Hopefully they will be done soon. Then we will get more used to it.
My Lacie girl loves it. Susan and Gail spoil her.
Good place to board when going out of town for a few days. They are comfortable boarding Birds as well as cats and dogs, so that was a big plus for me. Right across the parking lot is a veterinarian's office so if you had an emergency there you'd be in luck.
What I like about this place is that my dog loves it. When I leave him it makes me feel better that I know he's in a great spot with people who really enjoy him. It seems to be more than just a job with all the people here and it shows.
AMAZING dog sitters! Very kind people! Your dog will be loved while you are gone!
“There’s no place like home” …EXCEPT The Farmhouse ! Simply put, exceptional people who truly love our fur babies. The best !
We have used many different kennels over the years. There have been good, just okay and terrible ones. You always worry that your pet is going to be locked up in a cage for the duration of your absence and given the most basic amount of attention. These guys are different. They send you pictures of your dog playing with other dogs and give them snuggles and attention. They love what they do and you can tell. They have even helped us give our dog medication. Can't say enough good things about them.
Ed and Laura are the best! Just like sending the Kids to camp! We have 3 dogs and they all absolutely loved it here. A home away from home for sure. They had a blast with the other dogs. Thank you so very much.
Laura and Ed were so nice and friendly, and even tho Hannah really didn't really want to be there, I felt she was in good hands. They were able to let her out often, and she apparently "hung out" with their dogs. Much better there than at home alone when we have to be away. Thanks for giving me peace of mind!
These are the best people EVER! They not only care about the fur babies ,they care about the human's . I highly recommend this place no matter if it's for a few hours, Over night or weekend getaway they will take great car of your fur babies!
They are the best! My fur baby loves playing with the other dogs there. They are awesome to my spoiled pup.
SUPER GREAT PUPPY SITTERS! We're visiting for a week, and our dog needs to get out of the hotel room. Great day care and over night. Wish they were in our area!
Our little guy was happy. He was in great hands, and I definitely recommend them. I will certainly use them again.
The owners took very good care of our lab, Lacey, when we went out of town for a few days.
We left our Zoey for 21 days. Erica was wonderful! We got daily updates and pictures showing how she was doing. When we picked her up, Zoey had been bathed, her nails clipped and had a beautiful flower her collar. It was so comforting to know our baby had such great care while we were on vacation!
Janet is such a caring person! She did such a great job grooming my two Huskies, who are very fluffy! Not only that, but she was more then happy to let me hang out with her while she groomed my dogs, which I loved. My older dog can get a bit nervous when being groomed, so this was a nice benefit. Janet also boards dogs and has a beautiful facility, with ample fencing and safety measures in place, including smoke alarms that alert her even inside the house. She also has some covered kennels for those dogs that like to climb. I highly recommend her!
This place is the best!!! My small shih tzu stayed here (boarded) for 5 days because our vacation hotel couldn't take dogs. He had the best time!!! I would call this more of a "doggie hotel". They treated him as part of the family, gave regular updates, and helped him not be nervous about his first time being boarded. I also appreciated that they required all the vacccines to be boarded. We weren't sure if he would want to leave!! If I could, I would give 10 stars.
It has always been difficult for me to board my dog anywhere. I heard about Canine Care and how well Erica & staff treats the dogs. Recently boarded my dog here for the first time, for a few nights, and I could not have been happier with the experience. What made it extra special was daily pictures texted to me of my dog looking like he was having a good time on walks, playing with (or sniffing) other dogs, etc.. That made me feel so good seeing that he was just fine & I had no reason to worry. That helped me enjoy myself at the activity I was attending. They obviously are very caring about dogs and put a lot of time & effort into making sure the dogs & their humans are comfortable.
First off... I called the business before using the kennel serviceand left a message. Erika called me back within a reasonable amount of time. She answered all my questions, suggested "stuff", etc. Then... After my decision to send my dog there I called her again... left message. Again, she responded within a reasonable time. And also texted me with additional info I asked about. She was more than willing to accommodate a site visit prior to making decision. Plus sent pics prior to. Once we decided on a time to board, we all met and she was very patient with my dog as he "nosed" around the area. During the time my buddy was in Erika's care I called and asked--How's he doing... She said all is good, and also suggested to call anytime. She even texted me a couple pics of him--- I ran into issues getting back into town on the day I selected... I called and explained. She was understanding and able to keep my dog another day. During pick-up time she had EVERYTHING ready I initially brought with my dog. She grabbed Rocky from his kennel and he seemed fine. So, if we ever need a boarder next time we come to Alpena, I'm certain we will utilize her service. Thank you again.
Erica is great at what she does. We board our dog there once every few months. Also, Erica works with a local rescue to board shelter dogs until they can be adopted. We got our dog through this. Erica did a great job prepping our texas street dog for adoption.
Canine Care was Great!! I learned so much in that time. It reinforced our strengths, especially Tank's my Shepard rottie pup. I would go again and can email or tex her for any info. The owner was very knowledgeable and sweet.
Simply the best place we've gone to. Reasonalby priced, very responsive and willing to do whatever needs to be done. We had a Siberian Husky that was taken great care of for several days while we were out of town. Then, on the last day of pickup they even fit in a bath at the last minute. I'm sure he was a handfull but he's in great shape and very happy to be back home. Thank you!
I still go to Canine Care By Janet. 2019 I board and have my Golden groomed there too! Janet is excellent! Her place is clean and well cared for. She loves each and every animal she works with.
Great grooming and tender loving care when we leave our Dachshunds with Janet. They are always happy and smell good when we pick them up.
I had called and scheduled a grooming appointment for my dog weeks before as I was boarding for a week and wanted him groomed the day before pickup so he would be clean. I called before the scheduled appointment to verify and ask a few things BEFORE she groomed him and when I called I was told he was “fit in” early therefore I had no say in how my doodle was groomed nor was I able to let her know of the skin issues he has. When he was picked up, he stunk and the cut was actually terrifying. Random chunks of hair was left and his face wasn’t even touched. Looks awful and smells awful. Not pleased whatsoever. In response to owner: correct, I did not preference the groom at DROP off, (as you apparently are super busy) I was calling BEFORE the appointment so it was fresh on your mind. added proof of the call SCHEDULEING my groom appointment almost a month in advance to his stay and was told “11am Friday”. When I called BEFORE his “scheduled appointment” (that apparently means nothing) I asked about putting him in a kennel and letting him out as that is “fair” for any normal dog. Never would I ask anyone to shove my dog in a kennel and leave him there for 24 hours like you make the comment sound. Also when I pick up my dog I am in fact “separating him from dogs he had spent a week socializing with” an there is no “fixing” hanks cut, as it is a shave. I personally trimmed the extra long hairs that were left. All it takes is a simple google search to see how doodles are to be trimmed. Not shaved.
Cory and Cindy took amazing care of Frankie and Judge! We were able to spend a week away and we don’t trust just anybody with our boys! Highly recommend and they treat our pups like their own!
I would highly recommend LCI Pet Resort for your dog boarding needs. The owners were very friendly, communicative, and run a professional operation. My dog was recently there for 2 weeks and was well taken care of. Overall I would use them again if the need arises.
Very unfriendly owners. Never been treated like that by a business owner in my life!! Update to owners answer!! As to there response two separate people with two different experiences in the same day. kevens by phone and mine in person. But ways a business should never be handled. Appointment was clearly made late Sunday on blue tooth to car stereo and I wrote it down as he asked twice about time as habit from his old job. He does it on any appointments. I have never been there before and to get screamed at barely getting out of car after showing up ten minutes early and never being there before. While the correct answer from buisness owner would have been I am sorry but we over booked could we please reschedule even if it was our fault, which it was not. WILL NEVER GO BACK ALREADY GOT NEW DOG GROOMER And over this having better things to do with my time..
Drop my dog off at 8:30am. Picked him up the next day at 1:30pm. Charged me $81.00 and took my own food. Place is filthy and my dog smelled of urine terribly. Will never go back.
The owners are super nice. They accommodated our daycare request. Corey was great at drop off, and said I could call and check in anytime. Cynthia was nice and welcoming when we picked Beacon up. I would use this dog daycare/boarding facilty again!
My dog went as a puppy in good condition where he loved anyone and was happy. A week later after we picked him up he was missing his tags, fur and his harness was destroyed. He was scared of me and acting really wrird. His bed and his fur smelled awful like urine. Now he is terrified of men and urinates himself whenever any male gets near him. I don't think my dog will ever be able to be boarded again and I suspect that he was abused or that something happened to him at the boarding place that changed him. The owner was rude to us and just pushed our dog away into the boarding area when we dropped him off. I would highly recommend spending a couple extra dollars and boarding somewhere else.
Cindy does a great job taking care of our little six pound poodle, giving him a really nice looking poodle haircut with the pompoms and all. She also gives our Frenchie a bath. Both our dogs come home with their nails trimmed and ready to go for another four weeks. I really don't understand any of the very few negative reviews, except maybe some people are simply negative to begin with!
As it was going to be the first time leaving our dog overnight, we requested to look at the kennel before dropping her off. The owner seemed hesitant but agreed. We were horrified by what we saw. The grooming area had fur strewn all over the floor and looked like what I can only describe as a murder shed. The kennel area reeked of urine (and not just one dog having an accident, it was like it had never been cleaned) and had the most depressing looking doggy beds. My dog bolted back out the front door and we quickly followed. I suggest everyone else does the same. Maybe I'm just spoiled with the amenities near Detroit but this was in way worse condition than the pound we got our dog from. Just appalled this place is still in business.
I am absolutely disgusted with this poor excuse for a “pet resort”. If you love your pet do not send them here because they will be extremely mistreated and probably effected by it!! My sweetheart of a dog went and was forever changed by his stay there. He is now terrified of men. I wasn’t there I didn’t witness my dog being abused but when your dog goes from being amazing with anyone and loving everyone in the whole world to cowering in fear anytime a man comes near and flinching, hiding, even having accidents when a man tries to touch him I would say that it’s fair to guess he was abused. Don’t let these people make you pay money so they can hit and hurt your dogs who are part of your family find somewhere else your dog deserves better.
