We love Paw Haven! I've been taking my pup here for over a year and I'm continuously impressed. The kind staff clearly care about all the pups and are looking out for them. Benny goes for camp a couple of days and week and I've boarded him on several occasions. He loves it and I can't imagine taking him anywhere else. They have an app to use for bookings and are overall great at communicating. 10/10 recommend!

Paw Haven has been a godsend for my high energy doggo. She walks in with excitement & walks out very tired. The staff is great! Friendly, kind, & always busting their butts to get the doggos out on time. You can really tell they love spending time with every pup! They give the best silly little updates. Would recommend over & over!

Rosie (3 year old Boston terrier) loves Paw Haven and has been going there since she was a puppy! Daycare or an overnight, Rosie can’t wait to go and always comes back a happy pup. Thanks to the Paw Haven family for taking great care of Rosie and for all the awesome pictures!!

My chocolate lab mix “Edmond” and husky “Sissy” have been going to Paw Haven (dog daycare) for at least a year now. They love the staff and the other dogs and they come home tired & happy. The facility itself is huge and beautiful and the prices are on par with or less than any doggy daycare you’d find in the area (I’ve done my research, trust me). The staff does cute activities for holidays and PH also offers grooming and boarding services which I haven’t yet used but it’s a nice option to have. Some other things I like: the facility has cameras, there is a quick response time should you have any questions and the interview/orientation process was simple and straightforward. There really aren’t many cons, the only time there was any confusion/issues was several months back when more staff was being hired and a lot of people were in training all at once (which is understandable). No issues since that brief window of time. I really love this facility and know they take good care of my favorite people - my pups.

I’ve sent my dog here several times over the past two years and have always been pleased with the experience! The staff are all very kind and my dog seems so happy when I come to pick her up. The livestream webcams are a huge plus and I love being able to check in on her watch her play while I’m away. They also periodically send photo updates of your pup during their stay. I’m moving from the area which is unfortunate because I’ve yet to have another boarding experience that rivals Paw Haven!

Paw Haven is honestly a dream come true! Our dog has a lot of energy. He needs an environment where he can burn it off in a safe capacity. He pulls my arm off when we get out of the car in the parking lot because he’s so excited to walk through the door. He loves his social time and spends all day running around, instead of sitting at home waiting for us to return. Later when he gets home he sleeps from that moment on through the ENTIRE night. Tired dogs are happy dogs and this rings true over and over again. Not to mention that we love the friendly staff, we get to “check-in” periodically to see him playing with his friends through Paw Haven’s camera system, AND at the end of every day we get a handful of adorable photos! I tell my husband all the time, daycare at Paw Haven is worth every single cent!

An exceptionally bad experience! We are traveling to the area for the holiday and when I first called I was told that they can accept our dogs for daycare after I create an account, uploade vaccine records and book a meet and greet. We did all of that, called back and was told we need to upload records of a fecal test, so I had to call my Vet in Michigan and get them to send me lab test, which I did and uploaded to their account. I called back only to be told they had not sorted out their interview policy for this week and they actually aren't accepting new dogs for daycare! I spent almost an hour and a half running around to do what they asked for after two separate calls with two separate people only to be told they weren't fully organized with their holiday week policy! How is this a business? Obviously poor operations if the management can't communicate to the employees fielding calls.

Our pups love their time at Paw Haven! When we board them, we get them a Luxury Suite that they can stay in together, and it has Live Webcams that we can use to check in on them throughout the day. We love the report cards and photo updates at the end of each night, and love the optional add-ons we can purchase to spoil the pups a little extra while we’re away.

Love this place! I know I can trust them with my pup whenever I leave him here. He always comes home so tired from a long day of play! Plus they always send me a report card of how he did that day along with pictures!! They make my day. It’s nice that they always make sure to keep you updated. The website also has a camera in the playrooms so you can check on your fur baby when you miss them. Not only that but some rooms have a camera so you can see your baby after the playroom camera goes off for the night. Really saved me and my husband when we went on vacation. I always recommend this place to my friends. Pawhaven is AMAZING. Id trust them with my real children if they took them too 😂attaching an adorable pic they took of my pup 🥹

My puppy Bruno LOVE pawhaven!!! He is staying for the week in boarding and he is so so happy there! Every time he walks in, he immediately starts jumping and barking with excitement! Absolutely bring your dog here if you need day care and/or boarding!

Luke is an amazing and reliable pet sitter. He’s catsit for us the past three years, and we trust him completely with our pet! Truly cant recommend him enough.

I have used Luke as my cat sitter for my two cats for the past two years. He is always very responsive and flexible with his schedule (e.g., picking up/dropping off keys). He is great at following instructions (one of my cats has GI issues and her diet is constantly changing) and always sends me photos of the cats while I am away, which I really appreciate. He also brings in packages and mail while I am away, which is also very helpful. I highly recommend Luke!

My husband and I hired Strider Pet Care to look after our cat while we took a long trip. Before we left, Luke took the time to get to know our cat, her food and water setup, and asked thoughtful questions about her care. While there are tech-enabled solutions available for keeping our cat fed and watered, there is no substitute for cuddles and companionship, which Luke was fantastic at providing! He sent photos every day so we knew she was well looked after. I would absolutely recommend Strider Pet Care of East Rock to anyone. You can't go wrong!

I've used Strider Pet Care for nearly 6 months, and Luke is great with my 65+lb rescue dog! Even with a very strong young pup I knew he was in great hands and got text and/or photo updates every time he was being housesat or walked! Josh and his team are amazing with our two dogs Mona and Sparky. They are both rescues with difficult behaviors. Josh was the only dog-walker that was willing to take on the challenge and help us to walk our pups. After one year we can’t be more happy with the teams service.

Woodbridge Pet Sitting has been caring for our pets (and house) for the past 10 years. They are extremely reliable and go above and beyond (including driving to our house at 4 am to meet the fire department when a faulty smoke detector set off a false alarm). We had 2 senior cats with special needs and a cockatiel, given very good care by WBPS. After those beloved pets passed, WBPS has been visiting our 2 cats since their kitten hood whenever we are away. Our house is isolated and gets a lot of snow and ice, WBPS always comes thru for us. We never have to worry when we are on vacation. Wood Bridge Pet Sitting is the best!

Gina has been helping to take care of my cats for almost 2 years now. I can't recommend New Haven Pet Sitting highly enough. Gina truly cares for pets as if they're her own. She meets them beforehand, treats them each as individuals, playing with them and cuddling, depending on their needs. I've had her come care for my two cats often this past year, and I've always had complete confidence that they're in the best hands. Last summer one of my cats became ill in my absence, and Gina took pictures and went to the ER and sat with him, conferencing with me and the vet while at the office as we decided what to do. She gave him his medication every few hours according to the doctor's specifications, and even had a friend come when she couldn't. I am tremendously grateful to have found her.

This was our first time using a dog sitter so we were a little nervous but Devorah was wonderful. She took great care of our two dogs, one of whom has terrible separation anxiety. She sent pics of them throughout the day and we could see they were having a good time and were in good hands. You can tell she cares deeply for her charges. We would definitely use Devorah again!

Devorah is so wonderful, and I don't know what I would do without her! It is rare to find someone so dedicated to bringing joy and fun to your dog's life. Rain or shine, she picks up my dog and brings him, with some other neighborhood doggie friends, to hike at a nearby state park or run about in a backyard. He comes back from these play dates tired and happy. She is extremely flexible and understanding about changing schedules. I trust her completely with my dog and with the keys to my apartment, and she is always willing to help out with whatever we need - including watering my plants when I'm gone, or bringing my mail inside. I could not recommend her more for any dog walking, pet sitting, or house sitting needs!

I cannot possibly praise Devorah more highly-- she is kind, reliable, trustworthy, personable, and very knowledgeable about dogs. She has been very understanding about our hectic and ever-changing schedule, and she sends pictures and updates from our dog's many adventures with her. Devorah was a wonderful cat sitter for our two cats! This was our first time going away on vacation and leaving them home alone. Though we missed them a lot, we were comforted to know that they were in such good hands for the week. Before leaving, Dev asked us some very thoughtful questions about each of the cats’ preferences such as; what their favorite toys were and how they liked to play, if they enjoyed being cuddled or pet, and even if they would like to listen to music or podcasts to keep them company while we were gone. Dev gave us daily text updates detailing her interactions with our more outgoing cat and included pictures as well. She also checked on our cat that hid during most visits to make sure she was okay and assured us that the air in the house was a comfortable temperature amidst the summer heat. We would definitely use Devorah if we needed her again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any of our friends. She was dependable, caring, and communicative; a purrfect sitter for our kitties :)

You can not get a better Pet Sitter in the whole of 20 mile radius who would really really love pets like the way Devorah does. She took care of my dog seems like forever. Everytime she comes in Octo goes and runs to her and is always so happy to see her. For all the months that I have known her, she has brought smile back to a Beagle named Luna who I never saw smiling in the past 10 months suddenly started smiling 3 months ago since she had starting walking her everyday. She even does great pet sitting and her only priority is to keep the puppies happy. She says she is living her dream. Am glad she is in our life taking care of Octo when am gone for a trip or something,.. All her pets love her!! Highkly Recommended !

Erica has been caring for my pup Cleo for over two years now and is just the best. She's reliable, professional, and goes above and beyond to try and accommodate even last-minute requests. Erica is very attentive and always lets me know if something seems off with my dog (stomach issues, etc.). She also gives recommendations without being asked, which I appreciate given her extensive expertise. Cleo absolutely loves her too!

Erica is fantastic and a life saver! We were fortunate to recently adopt a 2 1/2 year old bulldog, Maisie. She had been in a shelter for over six months, so she is still a bit skittish around new people. Maisie has adjusted well in our home, but we had two long planned trips that we hadn't thought about, that's when Erica saved the day! She was able to come to our home and care for Maisie while we were away. Maisie loves her walks with Erica! Knowing Erica was taking good care of her reduced our anxiety about being away for Maisie.

My dogs have unique care requirements. Erica didn't miss a beat and took wonderful care of our two dogs. We will continue to use them for every vacation. Editing to update post. Erica continues to provide wonderful care for our two Jack Russells.

Erica is amazing and I’m so glad I found her! She takes such good care of our boy Baxter. We have had Bax there for day care and more recently for overnights and for the first time I am not worried about him while we are away! She posts pics and sends updates which we love and he gets so excited when we pull down the street. That is the ultimate test and compliment in my eyes. He truly loves being there. Erica is a wonderful pet sitter! She takes excellent care of our two kitties, who hate to leave the house so Erica visits them in our home. One of our kitties is very social and the other is very shy, and Erica makes extra effort to connect with the shy kitty, being sure to leave treats and catnip where she will get them. She sends pictures (and sometimes video) of both kitties, and checks in regularly by text to let us know she’s been in and how the kitties are doing. Erica has been caring for our kitties for about a year and we feel totally at ease knowing they are under her care while we’re away. We are so glad to have found her!

This was the first time we ever left the care of our 3 cats to a “stranger”. Erica came over, met all of us, took notes, and was friendly, yet professional. Two of our cats require medication, one of which is medicated every 12 hours and is clever at hiding. This was no problem for Erica! Erica was great at keeping in touch with me over the week sending photos & updates. She also responded quickly to my texts with questions & changes. Upon return our home felt normal, as if we never left. Although there was some grumbling amongst the felines inquiring as to what I did with Erica! Cats! 😺

I'm so happy that we used Scratch 'N Sniff while we went away on vacation. Our dog has a lot of anxiety and taking him with us wasn't an option for this trip. Erica was super accommodating. She was able to make visits to our house so Rocky would be comfortable in his normal environment. She was able to give him his medication, which typically is difficult with him. We were given frequent updates and pictures to make sure we were at ease and knew he was doing well. She even brought in our mail and watered our flowers for us. We will definitely be using this pet service for any trips we take in the future.

Erica does a phenomenal job with your family's pets! We know that when our pup needs somewhere to go that Erica is reliable, professional, and provides high quality service. We never worry about our dog when she is in Erica's care...she is treated like a member of the family. We love that our dog loves going there to see her friends. Recently got married and needed someone to watch our dog Blue for a few days, Erica is always the first to pop in mind! Her professionalism and great care for our pup is unmatched! We've utilized Four Paws services during our last two vacations to care for our two cats and our turtles. They have provided excellent service in every way - they leave detailed notes for each visit and always respond quickly and cheerfully to any e-mails or special instructions. Our cats can be a bit leery of strangers, so it's nice to see (via the visit notes) that both warmed up to Diane and Gary by the second or third visit. We won't hesitate to contact them the next time we are going to be out of town - their rates are very reasonable and you couldn't ask for better service. UPDATE: It's now nine years later, and we still call on Four Paws and a Biscuit whenever we need someone to care for our (many, many) cats when we're out of town. The service is still excellent and reasonably-priced, and they still leave detailed notes for every visit (even when most of our scaredy-cats won't come out to see them) - really couldn't ask for more.

My dogs have loved both Gary and Michele at 4 Paws. I trust them very much. They treat my dogs well, are aware of safety (ie wrapping the leash so the dog does not get away) and treat my home well when they come. They have my highest recommendation.

Delette is the best dog walker and pet sitter there is, period. All animals are drawn to her and she bonds with all of them. She will genuinely care for your pet and is very trustworthy.

Our dog Charlie had a few behavioral issues that we were trying to work out (a general high level of anxiety, fear of strangers, and chasing down things he shouldn't). We left him with Loukia for only 1 week and - when he returned - we could already see massive improvements! It was truly incredible. Loukia’s lifestyle simulates a natural dog lifestyle more than any other boarding place. They go on hikes in the woods as a pack, which builds a pack-mentality amongst the dogs and helps dogs like ours understand that - while with the pack - small animals, joggers and balls do not need to be chased! She also prepares wonderful fresh meals for the pups, the same as what she eats. Her communication skills are extraordinary and you get to see videos/pictures of the dogs throughout their stay, so you're never left wondering if everything is okay. When we recently had to move to Italy Loukia helped us keep Charlie calm in his crate (he had to be in the hold) by introducing us to flower essences that work in a natural way to calm animals down. It was a godsend as it is a long flight!!

My pup stayed with Loukia at Wholistic and we both had an incredible experience. She had just started having seizures so I was concerned but Loukia was amazingly understanding and I felt comfortable my dog was in excellent hands. She went above and beyond introducing her to the other dogs as that was a concern. Two stays now and I highly recommend!

We have left our puppy Molly with Loukia a few times and continue to have the best experience. Loukia shares photos and videos of our pup interacting with other dogs or calm moments when Molly is resting. We appreciate the regular updates so much, as we can relax knowing our pup is well cared for, and has a very present, attentive person watching over her. Also, when our pup was recovering from spay surgery, Loukia went above and beyond by taking care of our pup's wound and making sure she was comfortable. I truly feel at ease when Molly is with Loukia and consider her an extension of our family support network.

My fiancé and I have used Wholistic Pet Service twice in the past month for our 18 month Labrador Retriever. Our dog can be a bit of a handful at times however, this was no trouble for Loukia. She met with us prior to caring for our dog and provided us with great insight. Loukia was responsive to our questions and was flexible with our schedules. Since using Wholistic Pet Service we have noticed improvements in our dogs ability to interact around other dogs and her temperament within our home. Loukia even provided us with some knowledge on our dogs diet and her behaviors. I highly recommend Wholistic Pet Service for pet owners in the area!

We recently moved to the US with our year old Vizsla, Griffin , who had taken some time to adjust to his new environment. When we had to find someone to look after him whilst we went for a week's holiday, we were determined to find someone who wouldn't leave him in a crate but would provide him with the same love, attention and exercise he gets at home. We found Wholistic Pet Services and went to meet Loukia and her beautiful dog, Floki. From the beginning, it was clear that Loukia "gets" dogs. She lives and breathes them and understands how individual breeds and individual characters interact with each other and why. We found this to be so important having come across so many dog sitters who bundle a load of dogs together without giving any thought to how they will react to one another. Loukia is devoted to making sure her dogs and the dogs she looks after have the best possible life. This starts with advice on the best possible diet, hints and tips on holistic preparations for your dog (versus the sometimes unsafe alternatives), twice daily exercise and socialization, and ends with comfy doggy beds, sofas, pillows and humans to cuddle up with. Griffin runs to Loukia's gate and doesn't look back. We know he's having a great time because we get videos and photos of him having a ball. We are so grateful to have found Wholistic Pet Services and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Loukia.

In January of 2022 our dog Ella went missing under the care of Wholistic Pet Services. Please do your research and read the articles about Wholistic Pet Services and its owner Loukia. Fortunately, Ella was found, and the support from the entire community of Orange (CT) and volunteers (who travelled from far and wide) was heartwarming during that very difficult time.

My fur children have frequented Wholistic K9 Resort for almost 2 years now and we couldn't be happier. We found Wholistic after previously boarding and daycare at a couple of different establishments that were satisfactory but were not quite complete. Wholistic offers much more than daycare and boarding. My dogs love going on pack hikes a couple times a week. They are able to get socialization as well as great exercise. My older lab mix is quite skittish but she is very much at ease on the hikes. I also love watching the YouTube videos posted after the hikes. We also board with Wholistic when we go out of town. Loukia makes everything about boarding a snap. The dogs get picked up and dropped off, making travel less stressful. They immediately relax in the doggies zen room, where they know they are expected to be calm. My dogs have a non-traditional diet due to allergies. Loukia has been instrumental in helping me craft a diet to help keep the itching at bay and also is great with keeping them on the diet while they board. The dogs love their healthy, allergy friendly food and are always comfortable when they board. I am beyond thrilled to have Wholistic help with my dogs while I am at work and while I’m away on travel. I know they are in caring hands and that I don’t have to worry because they are under control and getting plenty of exercise and lots of love.

I am so excited writing this review for Wholistic Pet Services because I feel so lucky to have found Loukia to take care of my Rottweiler Romeo. I am so grateful I can leave Romeo in the hands of someone who loves dogs as much as I do and gives him the best care possible. Loukia is so loving, kind and patient with the dogs. Romeo gets so excited when he sees Loukia because he knows he will be going on fun adventures and will get lots of playtime with other dogs. The best part of all is he gets the best home-made organic food and eats like a king!! He always comes back to me tired and more disciplined than when he left. Loukia has provided us the needed comfort and ease while boarding our two labrador retrievers. It’s considered more to be vacation for the pups then “boarding” after all! We first left our young labrador retriever, Rigley, with her when he was just 6 months old and very last minute. As any pet parent, we were nervous to leave our baby, but Loukia assured us he would have a field day at her palace, and that he did! She continuously posts daily videos on you tube of their hikes, even rest time, and will send photos upon your request! She gives informative updates and even will suggest training tips and healing remedies you may need for your fur baby. There have been a few incidents where I have reached out to her about our dogs wellness before our vet because of her holistic and truthful approach. After trying a few dog walkers and boarders (who were just ok), we stumbled upon Loukia and decided to give her a try. I am extremely glad we connected, because there is no comparison. Loukia is so in tune with her dogs and attentive to their needs. She takes them on long hikes as a part of her daily routine, and sends great videos of her excursions. I have absolutely no worries that our dog will be well taken care of when we go away. They walked our doodle, played with her, cuddled her, cooled her off in the heat, played with her when we said she needed it most, were so sweet with her when she was injured with her cone and just needed some extra TLC like she was their own!! Isn't that all you really want? The text updates, photos and messages cracked us up and assured us we chose wisely. We even got Mike to spend a weekend with our Peanut when we had to travel and she was so in love with him. Trustworthy and dependable, I highly recommend!!

YLD has been amazing, reliable and professional. They have been taking care of my Labradoodle since she was a puppy and have always been incredibly caring and trustworthy. Amy & Mike are so easy to work with, responsive, and have always helped in a pinch if I need them. Kayla takes such amazing care of my dog and is certainly one of Berkie’s favorite people! They send detailed updates with plenty of photos after each visit and totally take the stress out of leaving my dog home for the day. I highly recommend them for compassionate, reliable and trustworthy dog walkers!

My dogs are certainly lucky dogs to have Amy and You Lucky Dog as part of their lives. I have spent the past two and a half years interviewing and researching a replacement dog walker after losing our previous walker. It’s hard to find that special person who you feel safe entrusting with both the four-legged members of your family as well as with your home. I knew within minutes of meeting Amy that we had finally found that perfect someone. Amy arrived at our “Meet and Greet” with a pet first aid kit that would put a hospital ER to shame and an easy going and friendly personality that immediately put my dogs at ease. I sat and politely listened to Amy tell me all about the business and her experience but I knew, instinctively, that we had finally found our new walker. Amy started within days of our initial meeting and by the second day she even had my nervous nellie dachshund snuggling up next to her. Amy visits my house twice a day Monday through Friday. She has always shown up as scheduled and if winter weather has caused a delay or cancellation she has provided notice well in advance. She provides incredibly detailed visit reports which include multiple pictures of the day’s activities and sometimes even videos. I cannot recommend Amy and You Lucky Dog highly enough. She provides me with peace of mind, knowing that my furry little bundles of joy are being lovingly cared for while I’m away from home.

We have had such a positive experience with Amy and You Lucky Dog. Our Pup, Bo, is a nervous and shy pup. Amy has worked patiently with him and now he dances around when she comes and engages with her even more than he does with our family. She also provides us with photos and a lengthy pupdate after her visit, which we look forward to when we are out. We would highly recommend Amy and You Lucky Dog to anyone who is looking for a dog or pet sitter.

We are SO fortunate to have found the You Lucky Dog team! They are simply THE best! We are the quintessential "crazy dog family" and our 3-year-old Scottish Terrier mix, Porter, is considered our "first born." While he is a really easy-going playful guy that loves everyone, I, on the other hand, am a bit protective and neurotic about consistency with his routine and details (ex: wiping his paws off, checking for ticks when they're in season etc). I have no worries with Porter in their hands. You Lucky Dog has always been accommodating and clearly LOVE what they do! They are not only professional, dependable and consistent, but each have a special bond with Porter. He has funny and lovable quirks with them that he doesn't have with us (ex: carries sticks twice his size on his way home :-). When I'm stuck at work, I love getting their "pup-dates" from how their walk/play-date went, complete with amazing pictures of our pooch. No better service out there!
