Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
Leslie consistently demonstrated outstanding communication skills, both initially and throughout the entire process, and I would gladly give her more stars if possible. Leslie arrived as scheduled, and instantly the animals fell in love with her and Bennie. Our cats love our dogs but usually won't come in the house when a strange dog is here but they didnt even hesitate to come meet Bennie. Bennie was very calm and a true gentleman. Leslie sent pictures throughout the sit reassuring us the gang were all getting along and enjoying her and Bennie's company. She read through the welcome guide before we left as well as we showed her around. It was very nice getting the chance to know her a bit before we ledt the following morning. We felt very comfortable knowing our home and pets were in good hands. It is very apparent when you meet Leslie that she truly does love animals. When our Molly decided to hide, Leslie called us right away because she feared Molly may have gotten spooked by a firework going off in the neighborhood and escaped under the gate. I felt so bad for Leslie because she blamed herself because it was on her watch. I have trackers on all my pets and it turned out that Molly was still in the house and just hiding really well. She can curl up.pretty small. Lealie took our Lab to check the walking route and see if Molly was there. When I called and told her Molly had to be at the house because her tracker showed her there, she returned to our home and Molly hreeted her as she came in the front door. I was very appreciative of Leslie's phone call though because she didnt wait hours to call, she searched the yard and house and called right away. We decided to cut our trip short a day and asked Leslie if she minded if we came home a day early. We let her know we didnt expect her to leave early and made sure she was comfortable with our decision. As a pet parent, it is imperative that we remember the sitters are also on vacation and we didnt want to intrude on her time. As it turned out, we ended up stopping by the ER on our way home where my husband was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Unfortunately we had both the RV and my car and I needed to figure out how to get them home. I reached out to Leslie who offerred to give me a ride back to the hospital after I dropped o e vehicle off at home so I could retrieve the second vehicle. BTW, the surgeon was able to repair my hubbys aneurysm and he will be coming home soon. Leslie was a comfort during this frightening time and even stayed an extra day to help out and care for our home and pets. She was a teue blessing. Leslie left the house spotless along with so.e fresh flowers for me when I got back from visiting my husband. If you get an opportunity to host Leslie in your home, rest assured your home and pets will be well loved and well taken care of. We.would welcome.Leslie back anytime. She is not just a pet sitter, she is a new trusted friend.
Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you are privileged enough to ever have Janis sit we are certain that you will be as delighted and happy as we are.
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
For our first experience with a house sitter, Jim and Julie have set the bar high. We felt totally confident that any issues would be dealt with, fortunately there were none. They were outstanding house and pet sitters whom we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. They took exceptional care of our house full of pets from 2 large dogs, 3 cats, snake, gecko, fish tank and a koi pond. They provided updates daily, were very easy to communicate with and the house was just as clean as when we left it, with the addition of a nice welcome home gift. We knew our pets were in good hands. Thank you for everything. Melissa and Kyle

I asked Kritter Sitter to take care of my elderly dog for a week while I was out of the country. A neighbor noticed that the boyfriend of the owner came twice a day, but stayed for only 5-10 minutes, which he recognized was hardly time to take the dog out and to feed it, not to mention minimal socializing. The neighbor, very kindly, came to visit the dog daily to be sure she was OK and to spend time with her. Kritter Sitter left me a bill for several hundred dollars. I refused to pay all of it because of the poor care. I would not recommend Kritter Sitter.
Michelle loves your furbabies just like you do. They are spoiled and snuggled! Years and years of experience, fully insured and great location.
Michelle is amazing she is the puppy whisperer my dogs stayed with her for 4 months while I was moving and she treated them like her own wouldn't go anywhere else when I'm home...
Love it there Great folks and do a FABULOUS job
I’ve used Paws Bed and Biscuit several times over the past few years for boarding and daycare. They have an efficient check in process and my two dogs seem to be excited when I pull in to the kennel driveway. Exiting the property can be a bit tricky along a curvy busy road. The round mirror perched on a tree across from the entrance is help with spotting traffic. Overall prices are competitive and I’m comfortable leaving my dogs in their care.
Our little girl was a serious velcro dog and can be reactive with other dogs out of fear. Paws Bed & Biscuit staff are wonderful with her and make sure that she has a great time. She went from not wanting to leave our sides when we would drop her off to jumping and butt-wiggling every time she goes. They have told us that she has done great with the dogs and has even gotten time with the big dogs that would normally scare her. They are awesome and we will continue to take her there for daycare and board her with them when we go on vacation. We trust them implicitly and are so grateful for what they've done for her.
Always an exciting experience for our furry family. The owner is constantly updating the activities for the dogs and the staff is kind and caring. Bruno and Gino love going there and jump right into the car waiting to leave. Very happy with our experience there for the past 3 years.
I brought my pups Nola and Neo (siblings and large mixed breeds) to Puppy daycare on the recommendation of about 10 people I know and they have exceeded my expectations! Neo is very shy and doesn't like new things however after only a few play sessions he loves it there! Both my pups jump out of the car excited and ready for the day and when we pick them up they are tired for that day and into the next day too! Their facilities are a pups dream with turf, and toys, and so many friends to play with! You can tell the staff love their job and who can blame them playing with dogs all day is a dream😅 I think the cost is perfect ($60 a day for my 2 pups) so we go once or twice a week depending. I really love it here and will recommend this place to everyone!!
Absolutely the best place to board your dog. Sophie has a blast every time she's there. Seems like a lot of places keep dogs contained for most of their stay but at PAWS they're out playing the entire time. Everything about this place is top notch and the staff does a terrific job.
We found PAWS Bed and Biscuit after a negative experience at a different daycare. It’s so hard to find somewhere you can trust to leave a beloved member of the family, but my dog loves going to camp now that we have found PAWS and had his first overnight the other night. He came home clean, healthy, and very happy, and he didn’t pickup any negative behaviors while away from home. I love that this is a local family establishment run by people who know dogs, love dogs, and have a very obvious passion for their pack!!! Thank you PAWS!
We are very glad we have Paws available to take care of our corgi, Penny. We don't bring her in often, but we know that when we do, she gets top notch care. She is a very shy and timid girl so she doesn't play too much with the other dogs, but we always feel reassured that she gets lots of love from the humans. We will be boarding her here in a few months and they have been great about answering all my questions and putting my mind at ease.
Our dog goes to daycare each week at PAWS and we use them for boarding while on vacation. They always take great care of our dog and he loves it here!
The staff at Paws Bed and Biscuit are fantastic. You can tell they love their job and all the pups. The play yards (in and out) are clean and inviting. We highly recommend them for boarding and daycare.
Blue just loves it there, the staff is very nice. Great outside activities in warmer weather.
We’re fairly new to You Lucky Doggy and have loved the communication through the app with scheduling, invoicing and most of all the details and photos/videos of our visit(s). Elicia has been amazing with our two senior pups and has given us complete confidence they are well cared for and safe in our absence. We’ve had all our needs met in a timely, professional and caring manner 🐾🐾
Sarah and her team at You Lucky Doggy are accommodating, trustworthy and reliable. We cannot recommend them enough for dog walking and sitting services. Finnegan loves his walks and time spent with you lucky doggy!!!
My lucky doggy loved the staff of You Lucky Doggy! Communication through the app was great and I loved receiving pictures and updates of my dog's visits. Staff not only visited with her, they practiced sit and stay and hurdles and other fun tricks. I feel lucky to have found Sarah and her crew.
The team at You Lucky Doggy are great. Both of our pups can’t wait to hear the door open and go for their walk! They are always on time, follow the instructions, and give extra hugs, snuggles, pets and love. …and take the best pics. 😉 …
GREAT customer service, and my active dog is super tired after an hour walk - so he’s nice and content!
We really cannot even begin to express how wonderful our experience with Sarah, Heather, and the whole You Lucky Doggy team has been. We have a very anxious senior pup and when we moved to our new home he was a mess. It gave me so much comfort and peace of mind knowing we had someone that we trusted coming to look in on him while we were gone. Since then, we have added another pup and both of then absolutely love spending time with Heather and Sarah! They have the best app where we can chat and get photo updates throughout the day. It also gives you a detailed report of their visits, potty breaks, etc. I can’t imagine having anyone else caring for our fur babies!! ❤️
I used You Lucky Doggy to help feed my cat over a weekend away. I was nervous because I HATE to leave him alone and he has a “weird” wet food feeding schedule. The owner, Sarah, came both nights and kept me up to date and sent me photos of my boy. She did everything I outlined (and more - she even washed the cat dishes!)! She was very professional and very kind. I def knew I could trust her. She also made sure I told her when I was home so she knew he was all set, which just showed me she is an animal lover. All around good experience. I will use them again and def recommend!
I found You Lucky Dog when I had to go back to work one week a month and my kids were off at college. I can’t say how lucky (pardon the pun) to find this amazing business who loves my Trixie as much as we do! Knowing she can get out for a walk in the middle of the day with such great dog walkers makes it less stressful when I have to go into the office. I would not let just anyone have access to my dog. I trust this business to have me and my pets best interest in mind at all times.
You Lucky Doggy has been incredible with taking my dog for walks and I am so glad to have found them. Sarah, and the team are all reliable, kind, communicative, and send very cute, nice reports after every walk with photos. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog with them, and confident that she has fun and is well cared for. I really can’t say enough good things about them!
Sarah and the rest of the team with You Lucky Doggy are the best! They are reliable, caring, and accommodating. We have used them for puppy potty breaks, dog walks, and cat sitting. The app they use is very user friendly and allows you to request services, chat with the team, and pay for services. They provide a report of how each visit went with photos (they are master photographers too and take the BEST photos of your fur babies). Highly recommend You Lucky Doggy and wouldn’t consider anyone else for our pup! 🐶
We've been coming here since 2019-ish (it's 2024 as of this writing). We absolutely love Baywood! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, honest and kind all the way up to the owner. Our dogs have never had a difficult time there. Over the years, we have boarded for several days at a time and also just for one-day daycare. The staff are very accommodating even after hours. Every time we go to pick them up, they leave with the biggest smiles on their faces and they can't wait to return. Our dogs love Baywood and so do we!
I have been bringing my dogs to Baywood for 16 years and we have loved every minute of it. The staff continually exceeds my expectations, from helping with my older dogs needs and sometimes difficult behavior during grooming to sending us home a happy tired puppy after daycare. I will always trust Baywood with our animals as this has become a second home for them.
Exceptional Customer Service for Kennelwood Groomer - Shih Tzu Jonah I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction with the grooming services provided by Kennelwood for my Shih Tzu, Jonah. The level of customer service exhibited during our recent visit was truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Kennelwood demonstrated genuine care and enthusiasm for our furry friend. The groomer assigned to Jonah displayed a remarkable understanding of Shih Tzu grooming requirements and paid meticulous attention to detail. Not only did the groomer exhibit professionalism, but they also showed a deep affection for animals. Jonah seemed at ease throughout the grooming process, and the results were beyond our expectations. His coat was impeccably groomed, and he looked incredibly happy and comfortable. Moreover, the staff took the time to communicate with us about Jonah's specific needs and preferences. Their willingness to listen and accommodate our requests ensured a personalized and positive experience. Kennelwood's commitment to exceptional customer service has undoubtedly earned our loyalty. I highly commend the groomer and the entire team for their outstanding efforts in creating a stress-free and enjoyable grooming experience for Jonah. Thank you, Kennelwood, for your exceptional service and for treating our beloved pet with the care he deserves. Warm regards, Josephine Paprota
Baywood is the best kennel I’ve brought my dogs to! 100% would recommend!
We moved from RI to CT a year and a half ago. The first week we were here, we needed to board our Miniature Schnauzer because we were going on a business trip to NY. I researched kennels in the area and came across Baywood. The reviews were positive, so I decided to give them a try. We placed our dog with them for 3 days and were very satisfied with the service! They have a very caring staff. And then we found out that they have a dog grooming service too. We brought her to be groomed and were very pleased with their work as well as the price! I highly recommend Baywood Kennels for boarding and grooming. Brendon is awesome and you feel confident that you’re leaving your fur baby in good hands!
Took my 22 month old gentle giant And I mean gentle sweet loving boy to daycare here and when going home my boy was crying so I pulled over and he was bleeding from the ear and had dry blood all over chest Parts of his ear was missing. Never got a call never said anything when I picked him up and did not pay vet bill. Never even apologized !!! My concern was his mental state as he was traumatized more than anything. He will never be the same. The dog that loved everyone and loved playing with other puppies no longer will. He is afraid of everything . My heart breaks. Baywood kennels only cares about how much money they can bring in. Greedy. I should have went with my gut feeling when they don’t let you inside office. Please look elsewhere for your fur babies They don’t care !!!!!
Our doggy, Waggs, loves Baywood! They have great options for daycare, overnights and bathing! Wish the humans were allowed inside to see them play BUT our girl always comes home clean and happy! Highly recommend. 💗 …
Our dog has been going to Baywood for all of her 8 years of life. Sometimes she goes for playdates, and even boards there. The owner and his staff are beyond amazing -- I consider them all "pet whisperers." Your dog or cat will be in good hands, get appropriate exercise, socialization and care. You will not be disappointed! I recommend them completely and without reservation. Here is a fun picture of our Suka "striking a pose."
Appears to be a dangerous place for dogs. The three bite rule seems to be in effect here. That means your puppy will be used for chewing on by other dogs three times before they will ask you to take your chewed up dog and not return. Supervision of the dogs appears to be lacking as does supervision and training of staff. Consider more than how easy it is to drop your buddy off.
My dog is very hard to handle, a bit aggressive and a stubborn breed. I've had him for 6 years and never left him with anyone. I had to go to Italy for a family emergency and needed to board my 10 year old jindo. I was very nervous. I was gone for 27 days and Baywood kennels kept me updated on his progress and made me feel totally comfortable. The staff and Brandon really love dogs and I can see that clearly, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I'm very happy with Baywood kennels. Thank you so much for your help.
Ms. Dalton and her team are very pleasant and the love they have for the animals they care for is comforting. We have been bring our dogs for more than 15yrs. Our newest puppy just spent 10days and she was so exhausted because we know how much fun she had.
This is a very, very caring grooming, boarding, and daycare kennel. The staff are extremely caring about the pups happiness and safety. Clean and comfortable!
"Back in the day" we used to take my family's dog there, and she loved it (wagging as soon as we pulled in!). Recently I needed to board my two dogs last minute, and my mom suggested we go back to Dalton's. They were BEYOND accommodating in getting the girls in to stay on short notice, and they even managed to charm the more skeptical of the two dogs. Since then, I have been taking the girls there whenever we need boarding, but also for grooming! They're always excited when we pull into the driveway, and they're always very well taken care of. They look gorgeous after their grooming appointments as well! Glad to have re-discovered such a lovely place for my dogs!
We bring our two dogs here for grooming, and Dalton's is the best around. Our dogs always come home looking great. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent.
Called just to get boarding info and staff was unfriendly and pretty much hung up on me. Bad customer service.
Not sure why it is so hard to find a groomer now a days. I found daltons online and they were able to schedule me the same day. The staff were friendly and responsive. Only complaint is my dog doesn’t smell all that great.
Kennelled two dogs for four nights. One came back bleeding from an infection, the other hobbled on three, open and bleeding sores on all paws, and eye sealed shut. After spending $500 on boarding for four days, so far the vet has cost over $600, with more testing and visits coming up. On a daily basis I need to treat numerous ailments including a cut eye, with numerous prescriptions. I called to ask for some sort of good faith agreement on compensation, but only heard that perhaps I bumped my dogs head on the way out, or I should have told them he had sensitive paws. When you have dogs running on gravel and not grass, they will get cut up. I’ve never taken a dog to the vet after a kennel stay in years. They admitted this happened to others as well. The owner is relaxing in Florida, and feels losing my frequent boarding and grooming at her place is better than helping me pay the vet bill.
Please bring your dogs here. Grooming, boarding and daycare. Carrie is an amazing groomer and absolutely loves animals and it shows. I give them 5 stars because both my dogs love going there (one had special needs) and they take care of her and treat her like family when she’s scared. So. Great job Daltons! My dogs and I love you. 🙂 …
We've been using Dalton's for several months now for our daycare and boarding needs. Our puppies LOVE when they get to go to daycare. Everyone who works there really enjoys having our puppies there and they come home so exhausted. It's great that they get the exercise they need and we get the peace of mind knowing they're having fun and being taken care of.
Fantastic place to your dog groomed. I've had my dog groomed here for many years and I've been very happy. They are amazing with my picky poodle-mix. Carrie is simply amazing.
Absolutely recommend to anyone. No fuss, no stress, easy booking, drop off and pick up. We’ll be using the Dog Lodge forever.
Best dog day care service in the Boston area hands down. Our dogs love staying with them, wonderful space surrounded by trees and silence, we don't trust our furry ones with anyone else.
We only trust metro west for our dog when we travel. They love what they do and it shows in every detail, we highly recommend.
I’ve taken my dog here several times for grooming and never had any issues but they definitely have some new really inexperienced people working. My dog was there for a grooming for * EIGHT HOURS * and 15 minutes!! (he has a thick coat, it normally takes 3.5ish hours for his usual “puppy cut” !!trim!! as discussed prior to the appt) I dropped him off at 9am-received a phone call around 2:30 apologizing for the wait, and she kept repeating that he was just ~taking forever~ to dry and that it would be 1 more hour 2 more hours passed, so I just drove there and went inside to ask where he was and they AGAIN told me that he was still being dried and that his fur was just taking forever and that it would be 15 more minutes. I FINALLY received a phone call that he was done at 5:15, when I walked in it was just the girl and not my dog. She charged me, and THEN they brought out what I can only describe as A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT dog out to me He was shaven completely bare, down to his skin other than his head. Not sure what you guys were claiming to be drying for 8 hours because he has truly no fur left???? Additionally—He is 10 years old and was so exhausted afterwards I had to pick him up to get him in my car, we got home and he drank 2 whole bowls of water-so he was definitely not given any during this stressful and long period of time either. He has little knicks on his body from the shears and is now just generally incredibly uncomfortable and won’t stop licking himself. His breed is Australian Shepherd and shouldn’t be/never has been cut so short, especially right before winter. I can’t believe I was charged (obviously intentionally before bringing him out) but mostly I’am just so disappointed and sad for my dog and all the discomfort he is now experiencing and will continue to all winter because of this ridiculousness!! I don’t even understand how this could have happened or how it could possibly take as long as it did. We will not be back :( FOR REFERENCE; there is one photo of him with his full coat included—this is how he **usually** is returned to me after a hair cut. Actually so so shocking!
This review is in regards to daycare—I have not had any experience with grooming or training. I brought my dog here for the first time this past week. Communication was really inconsistent (I spoke to someone over the phone who gave a very flexible answer on what a half day consists of, when I dropped him off at 9am I asked if 3:30pm was okay for pick-up, I was told yes without any additional info, and then at pick up I was told that a half day is only 4 hours and charged for the extra time…it was a reasonable fee but this should have been made clear prior to leaving). I had asked how many pups were going to be there that day and was told he’d have plenty to play with (I assured them he does go to the dog park regularly and does well with other dogs), and upon pick up I asked if he had fun and was told he was not introduced to any other dogs. The whole reason I brought him to daycare was for enrichment and social opportunities. Additionally—and this one I will take blame for not asking—but there is no tour of the facility offered upon drop off, which feels strange to me. I probably should’ve asked about this, so I can’t say whether or not it would’ve been given if I had asked, but just another thought. I was also reprimanded by the woman at pick up for not signing in at drop off however it was my first time there and I did not do so as I was not directed to do so. I understand the importance of documentation, but it absolutely could’ve been handled in a far kinder manner. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be bringing my dog back. The convenience and cost are great, hence the two stars, however I don’t feel confident enough in the communication of the staff or the quality of care (enrichment/social opportunities) to recommend…sad about this because it was something I was feeling really hopeful about!
Lots of parking on a nice side road. Walked in for our appointment and someone came out right away. He was very friendly. We explained how scared our dog is of his own shadow. He acknowledged, took him in back. Said he’d be right back. Our dog came back happy with perfectly cut nails. It cost $10 to get them cut. have them a twenty and we left. I would suggest giving them a try. It was our first time but so far pretty good experience all around.
Signed my 6 month lab/mali up 12/20/2022, will keep updating our experiences 12/11/2023... my dog Bear, has been going 1 year now. Daycare daily. Nails clipped, and grooming. I have never had a problem. Me and Bear are very happy with their services and very nice people to do business with.
First interaction with this place. Had to find a boarding place for my pup Libby last minute. Super nice on the phone, prices reasonable and the guy who checked us in went over everything. Picked her up today and she smells like a clean baby powdered puppy, she’s super calm and was sad to leave. She must’ve had fun with the other dogs, will definitely look into their training and doggy daycare next.
I have been bringing my dog Ellie to Northeast K-9 since she was 3 months old. She has always loved her time at the daycare. We stayed faithful in bringing her each week, having boarding services done, and even did dog training at this facility and received little to no difference in her being trained. We have spent an incredible amount of money at this business because our dog absolutely loved it! The last few months we have noticed changes. The business has a large turnover rate for employees. There were situations I questioned in my head but thought this is a tough time for all businesses. I didn’t pursue my gut feeling. I should have and that should’ve started the moment I heard a staff member aggressively yell at a dog. Should’ve been 3 weeks ago when our dog was bit in the ear by another dog. We had to go to the emergency vet to have stitches done at 10:30pm. And an almost $400 bill. I called the to figure out what happened the next morning and nobody knew. The owner never offered to cover the bill. I continued to bring my dog after that she seemed happy. Tuesday 6/8/2021 was the last straw I dropped off my happy energetic dog to this daycare and picked up a visibly terrified and in pain dog later that afternoon. She was yelping in pain as I put her in my vehicle. She didn’t want to leave my vehicle when we got home. She spent the evening laying in her crate with the door open and avoiding contact with us. She is never like that! Anyone that knows a beagle knows that they are full of energy and love especially this one. Wednesday morning she was the same way not herself and in discomfort. I brought her into the Vet on Wednesday. The staff at our veterinary office noticed a huge change in her. She wouldn’t leave the car as if she was in fear of going back to that place. We finally got her out and into the office. She was cleared of any medical issues such as Lyme, or evidence of a dog fight and broken bones. They noted her discomfort and prescribed her pain killers. They also noted that we have a very scared dog and something happened to her and if this was their dog they would not return them to this facility and to demand an explanation. That’s exactly what I am going to do. How can a happy dog turn into a scared and terrified dog with pain in a matter of hours? A dog that has been hurt and traumatized. Her back leg and underside is sore as if she had been kicked a couple times. I am sure I will hear from the owner there is nothing on the cameras as I did for her ear bite. I do know that something awful happened to my dog within those walls and I will do anything and everything in my power to make sure another dog does not have this happen to them. We are currently working with Ellie and gaining her confidence with us her favorite humans, we are showering her with the love of her family. She’s slowly starting to show signs of our Ellie girl but this will take time. She’s been hurt by someone, someway and somehow and I will be working very hard to make sure to this doesn’t happen again. I would like to add to this review. The owner didn’t reach out to me when the initial incident happened and after I reached out to him on 6/9/21. They responded over a week later. After this review was shared publicly via FB. That’s when I got a response. This is my response to his response. Since I cannot respond to his directly. Your attempt to make me look like a neglectful dog owner is pathetic and full inaccuracies. The most neglectful thing I did was not listen to my intuition. Your response to my review like many others on this page shows clear disregard for humans and I can’t imagine the disregard you have for animals. I am in no means a liar and would not put this out there if it didn’t happen.
If I could give them a negative star rating I would. I had my dog Spike boarded there last week from Tuesday-Friday. I warned them he has anxiety issues before hand and they seemed ok with being able to care for him. I drop him off Tuesday evening and headed to my vacation. Not one word from them Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I show up Friday evening to pick Spike up, get him home and notice his nose is all bloody and scabbed over. His front paws were also swollen and sore. I called them ASAP and the lady working there informed me that he was trying to open the gate to his kennel with his nose. Then all she said was I’m sorry I forgot to mention it to you. One would think they would have called saying your dog is not doing well is there someone who could possibly watch him instead because he is causing harm to himself. Nope not one single word from them besides oh I’m sorry I forgot to mention it to you. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE!!!!
Horrible, I have been going here for years. Last week brought my dog chico for a puppy cut. The Groomer/Owner cut my dog so bad that I needed to get emergency stitches that day. The vet even stated that he was cut by clippers. I called several times left ao many messages. Instead of the owner manning up to contact me he had a co-worker of his tell me he is not paying for the vet bill. This place has been horrible for the past few months, before they took pride in grooming, boarding, and training. Now they just suck do not take your pets there.
Maya's Owner: Adopted my 2.5 year old Rot x DOB mix who came to me really afraid of men, slightly skittish and underweight. It was clear she came from a wealthy family who trained her well but than just didn't have time for her and neglected her after so long. I decided to put her in daycare to socialize her because I did not want her to only bond with me and I was trying to break her fear with males. She loves everyone here and has become completely obsessed, I put her in Full Time and she gets extremely excited. There's a guy here with full arm tattoos, can't remember his name; she's been in love with him since day one and he was just very gentle with her and let her do her thing until she got adjusted. The other guy with the glasses as well is really great and every time I have questions about diet, bathroom, toys, bones...he spends 10-15 minutes talking to me with recommendations. Rick, who's the owner, does a wonderful job. I like how they put the dogs in groups with similar personalities, she's bonded with a certain male dog there and I'm glad they care enough to keep them together because it really does reflect with her personality. Wouldn't put her in any other daycare
My boys have been coming here for years. They love it. Each morning when I ask "do you want to go see your friends?" -they lose it :) and practically drag me through the door when we get there. The staff is wonderful and always happy to see us. Very accommodating for short notice overnight stays too!
I have a rescue dog and was advised never to board him, so when my whole family had to travel for a family event, I was a bit panicked. Then I found Woof & Whiskers. Pamela and her team are skilled with animals, their accommodations are clean and comfortable for the pups (and they’re making additions too), the play area is spacious, and overall, it’s a great place with positive energy! We were able to visit before we booked, which was great, and pick up was smooth and easy. Their base boarding fee is reasonable and you can add on services like daycare, walks, grooming, etc…for an additional charge. Overall, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to bring my dog here again. Thanks Woof & Whiskers Team!
Absolutely amazing. We had taken our little Nino to Petco for grooming which was a disaster. He came back with his coat all uneven and smelling foul. We decided to try Woof and Whiskers and were so happy with the wonderful job they did! Jaqui is so professional and knowledgeable. We couldn’t be happier with how handsome our baby boy looks! Model material!
Excellent care of our pup Ruby. Great grooming and boarding services. Have used them 3 times now and never been disappointed and always come back to a happy pup! Will definitely use them again!
Took a friend to drop off her two pets(dog&cat)to be cared for while she was having surgery it turned out being longer than expected. She was pleased with the care and prices were bad compared to other local places.
We love woof and whiskers inn they are so accommodating!! The owner is so passionate about animals and I love that ! We boarded our dog ace here. It was the first time he’s ever been boarded . The owner took such good care of ace ace he has so issues and she was so accommodating to them. Ace came home a happy boy! She even sent him over to her grooming side for us for pick up and didn’t charge us for another day . I would absolutely recommend this place for your fur baby . :)
I am the founder of Big Hair Animal Rescue and I have been using Jacqui for years. She's an amazing groomer and great with our often challenging dogs. Highly recommend her!
On Saturday, May 25th. I called Woof & Whiskers Inn. Benji Piche was sick and needed some immediate attention. At a moments notice they provided outstanding care with gentleness to Benji.I can't Thank Cindy enough. Her love ❤️ for the animals is phenomenal. Cindy & Jackie do great grooming as well. Thank you both for the great services. You's both go above, & beyond. One happy doggie/Benji 🐶 Dawn L Piche
We boarded our AmStaff Maverick at Woof and Whisker Inn for 6 nights. We couldn't have been happier, family owned/run. You can tell they genuinely care about and get to know your pet compared to the more commercial chains. Rates were very reasonable, highly recommended.
We boarded our cat Layla for a week. They took wonderful care of her. I was a little nervous but the sent me pictures of her and would text me with updates and answers to and questions.
My dogs are always happy to see me after work trips but they always have fun with the staff and other dogs during boarding. Decent price, nice, clean facility, great staff. They love animals. You can trust them to take good care of your fur baby.
We met Tim back around 2002. After using 2 other pet sitting services that lied & put our pets at serious risk...They said they were at our place ,but they both lied. That's when I did a extensive search for a new pet sitter. We found Summit Pet Sitting , we met with Tim & looked over his all his referrals & found them to be terrific ... One of my cats was Diabetic & Tim is totally trained in giving injections. Both our cats were loving cats .Merlin was a dog in a cats body. Sheba was a bit more of a one person cat, but in time Tim was able to gain her trust. If we asked Tim to call or other certain requests he was awesome. He is loyal, trustworthy & caring person. I can not endorse Tim & Summit Pet Sitting enough.
Tim has been caring for our dogs and fish in our home for the past 7 years. We are now moving out of state and literally the worst part about leaving is that we will no longer have Tim around to take care of our animals (we tried to convince him to go with us but he politely declined). We found Tim 7 years ago after a bad experience with a previous pet sitter. Before we found Tim, we had been ready to cancel a trip because we were no longer comfortable leaving our dogs with the pet sitter we had been using. We found Tim, called his (glowing) references, had him over to meet our animals, and we hired him at the last minute. Since then, he has probably stayed at our house at least 25 times over the years. We have had our dogs stay at his house several times as well. Tim is very flexible and accommodating. Our dogs love him. He probably takes better care of them than we do. We never worry at all anymore when we have to travel because we know they are in very good hands. We would 1000% recommend him to anyone who is looking for the absolute best care for their fur-kids!
Tim has stayed with our 2 dogs and 2 cats twice while we went on vacation. It is much less stressful on the pets to have someone stay with them in their regular environment rather than boarding. Tim takes great care of them, and sends daily updates and pictures! The dogs are always happy and tired from lots of play time when we get home. I highly recommend Summit Pet Sitting!
Tim has been our dog-sitter for the past few years and he has consistently provided us with reliable service. Most recently, Tim watched our dogs during our honeymoon. He noticed one of our dogs had a foot infection and took her to the vet after consulting us. We are grateful his attentiveness to our dogs' well-being led to a speedy recovery. He writes daily reports on our dogs' activities and also takes care of your mail/plants/others as needed. In addition, our dogs love seeing Tim whenever he walks into the apartment -- this gives us a tremendous peace of mind when we have to leave them home. We highly recommend Tim for pet-sitting services.
Timothy Smith is the owner of Summit Pet Sitting. He has been walking our Lhasa Apso "Lexi " three mornings a week for nearly three years. During that stretch he has never missed an appointment. On the rare occasion he can't make it he finds a substitute walker so our service is uninterrupted. You cannot find reliability like that anywhere! Besides his dependability, Timothy is very trustworthy. He has had a key to our home for the duration of the relationship. He can be counted on to let himself into the house, leash & walk our dog, responsibly dispose of the poop, fill the food & water dishes, and lock the door on the way out. In the beginning Tim made sure the dog was comfortable with him. It didn't take long for Lexi to warm up to him and now she looks forward to seeing him! Timothy also will administer medications to Lexi whenever necessary such as the time she had an ear infection and needed ointment applied. He also reports anything unusual like the time Lexi had a urinary tract infection. He noticed blood in her urine and texted a picture to me right away so we could bring her to the vet ASAP. We also board our dog with Tim whenever we travel. He will bring Lexi to his house and care for her like she is his own pet. In addition to his top notch service, Timothy is very reasonably priced. He provides excellent value but most importantly he puts our minds at ease knowing Lexi is in safe hands. He also seamlessly handled a few instances where we had a second dog at our house and treated that dog exactly the same as Lexi at no additional cost. I highly recommend Summit Pet Sitting for all your pet needs!
Tim is awesome. We have 3 hounds, Cora, Mojo and Bennie. They loved being cared by him. He sends pictures and truly cares about his guests. We have used him twice and were extremely satisfied. When we mention his name the tails begin to wag profusely. My wife and I get jealous. Highly recommend this company. Safe, reliable, dependable and affordable pet care.
Summit Pet Sitting is the best. Tim gets my dog. She is an older dog and can get stubborn and cranky. Tim still gets her to walk and play and makes sure she is cared for and safe. He also gives her her medications and never charges extra fees like the kennels do. I could not recommend him more highly. I can go on vacation with total peace of mind.
Tim has always been great with our dogs, and you can tell from the very first encounter that he is an animal person through and through. We always know that boarding with him is their home away from home, and can’t recommend his services enough!
Dealing with Tim is fantastic! Tim took care of our lab "Sarge" for a few days while we were on vacation and we didn't worry once about his care. We would receive daily updates and picture/videos of him hanging out and during playtime. It was a great experience dealing with Summit Pet Sitting.
We have a 3 year old Boxer mix named Koda who is a rescue. She is incredibly wary and fearful of strangers and loudly announces her feelings. We are trying to work on this with her but we still have a ways to go! We recently got married and on that weekend, lost our trusted dog sitter as they were also at the wedding. We got a recommendation from a good friend of ours who is also a local town’s Animal Control Officer. We highly value her opinion as she is working with dogs like Koda daily and if she vouches for someone, it’s for a reason. We spoke with Tim and right away knew that we liked him, but he wanted to be sure that KODA would like HIM. We set up a meeting and Tim came over for an hour to introduce himself to Koda and see how things went. She was initially wary, as she always is, but Tim’s warm nature and experience with difficult dogs showed immediately as Koda very quickly warmed up to him. His knowledge of dog behavior and confidence with reactive dogs made the whole meeting process go smoothly and we were ready to proceed. Tim was willing to watch Koda in his home as we felt like that would be the best option for her. He set up another meeting with us to make sure that that Koda would be receptive to staying at his house and would get along with his dog Rose. Upon arrival at his house, Koda immediately recognized him and leapt in his lap, licking his face! The weekend he watched her went off without a hitch and Tim sent update messages and pictures to keep our mind at ease. All in all, we HIGHLY recommend Tim to anyone needing a dog sitter, be it for a super friendly dog or for one with special requirements like ours. We are incredibly thankful to have found Tim and are thrilled to have found our new dog sitter for the future!
I cannot say enough good things about our puppy’s stay with Michael. Nala was friends with him the very moment they met. She was excited to see him when I dropped her off for her stay. She had some of her favorite toys and treats to make her feel at home, but that would not have mattered. Michael took her for walks and sent us lots of pictures of the fun she was having while there. We were very comfortable leaving her there, and were also extremely pleased with how happy she was when we picked her up. I do believe Michael may be a puppy whisperer too though. She was difficult to walk on her leash before we left her, but she walks perfectly now. We will be booking Michael again in the future when we need to be away from home. We highly recommend him as your pup’s home away from home!
I highly recommend using Michael for your dog sitting needs. Michael watched our dog Toby for 4 days. On our first visit, Michael was very thorough in asking important questions on Toby's health, behaviors, likes and dislikes. Throughout Toby's stay, he kept us informed of his well being with texts and pictures. It was so nice to see Toby having such a wonderful time!! Michael was sure to take him for long walks and even practiced and reinforced basic commands with him! He made sure Toby had his favorite toys and cozy places to sleep. He gave Toby lots of TLC while we were away! We were grateful to come home to a very happy doggy. Hayley W
Michael has a lot of experience with dogs and is definitely a dog person. I was a little nervous doing something like this at first, but Michael quickly eased my nerves. He was very thoughtful in the questions he asked and he really went above and beyond getting to know and understand our dog Brewer. He took Brewer for long walks, gave him plenty of attention, and made his home comfortable for him. I highly recommend Michael for anyone in need of a dog sitter in the area, you won't be disappointed!
Michael and his fiancé were so wonderful! We had arranged for our dog Harper to stay with family while we were on vacation but something came up and we needed to find a new sitter asap. Michael was incredibly flexible and made us feel so comfortable. Harper came home happy and calm. He provided us with daily updates/photos and gave Harper her medication. I’m more than happy to recommend them!
Michael was wonderful from the start. We spoke on the phone before the drop-off and I immediately got a very positive and trustworthy vibe from him so I felt completely at ease about leaving our pooch with him. When I met them at their house, he and his girlfriend were warm, friendly, and instantly connected with our dog. They have a very clean, nice home, which is not always the case with dog sitters. Throughout the week-long stay, they sent photos, maintained communication with me and generally did a fantastic job. They were even super flexible about the pick-up day when we needed to extend it. I highlight recommend them!
Michael and his girlfriend took great care of Hazel!!!! I was nervous to leave Hazel and had never used Rover before. What a great find! They are very kind. Total dog people. They sent pictures of her throughout her weekend with them. They were diligent about finding out her eating schedule and preferences. Hazel came home calm and happy. It’s worth every penny to know a furry family member is being warmly attended to ...
Mike and his girlfriend Kate, were wonderful with my dog. She spent 2 nights, came home tired and happy! Mike was very easy to communicate with and sent plenty of pictures during the stay. I would have no hesitation to have him watch our girl again any time!
I've known Michael for 6 years, and have seen him interact with multiple pets, particularly dogs, of various sizes. He is a huge dog lover, and definitely understands the needs and behaviors of animals. I have a 100+ lb, variably behaved, yet lovable lab retriever mix named Buddy, and Mike has hung out with and cared for Buddy many times. Mike does a good job of curbing Buddy's more negative behaviors and follows my philosophy of treat-training in accordance with how I originally trained him (or tried to- I got Buddy as an adult dog). Mike is also more than capable of walking Buddy in a crowded area, which is no easy feat as he's large and really curious about other people/pets/cars. Michael's family also has an english bulldog who he loves, and I've seen him interact with her positively many times over. Michael is a friendly, affable, and patient person- I think he'd be a great Rover pet-sitter or dog walker!
Michael took wonderful care of our fur ball. He felt right at home, had to wake Scruffy up when I got there he was so comfy on his doggy bed. Michael also kept us updated with messages and pictures throughout the days. Highly recommended!!
Mike and Kate were great with our dog, Cleo. They went out of their way to assure she was comfortable and happy and she was! Great communication, very conscientious and attentive caregivers! Cleo got to socialize on walks but be the spoiled "only dog" she's used to being when home. We'll definitely seek them out again when next we need a dog sitter.
