I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! Misti
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!

Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!

What a lovely couple Tara and Tyler are. They had been in Scottsdale about six weeks before the house sit. and can to meet us. Rusé, our Toy Fox Terrier, fell in love with them immediately, and was in Tara’s arms within two minutes. We always like our sitters to arrive the day before we leave, take them out to dinner and get to know them. It was quite apparent from the videos and photos we received, that Rusé did not miss us. Tara and Tyler’s three grown up children joined them before Xmas-to Rusé’s delight as these were additional hands to throw his rubber bones and balls. The house was all clean and tidy, when we returned.. There is a strong possibility that Tara and Tyler will move to Arizona from Montana, with two of their children, recently moved to the area. They have already offered to look after Rusé in the future. We know he would love it. We cannot recommend Tyler and Tara higher enough, they were perfect House and Pet sitters

Not only did our pets enjoy meeting Kelly and Christopher, my husband and I enjoyed meeting them as well! They are personable and kind, organized and communicative, and most of all excellent pet sitters. Kelly and Chris are attentive housesitters. They went out of their way to connect with our dogs, especially Smitty, our rescue. The dogs were walked, brushed, and played with throughout the weeklong sit. They sent pics of how our fur babies were doing and truly seemed to enjoy their time with them. I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!

I would highly recommend FurKids PA to anyone who is looking to have their animals cared for. Karen has been walking my dog several times a week for going on two years now and I feel totally at ease knowing that she is watching after him when I can't be home. I am very particular about who I leave the care of my dog to and I know that Karen takes care of him just like I would. I had Karen from FurKidsPA care for my cats while I was away. She came when expected, and always sent me pictures and updates. Any time I had a question, I heard back from her quickly. Fantastic service, and I'll be using FurKidsPA again.
Where do I begin with this review? Since moving to the area as a single person with no relatives around, I needed someone to help me with my puggle while I was at work. After meeting with two other people I decided Karen was the best option. Over the course of the last two years, I switched jobs a few times with different schedules. Karen was always able to accommodate us. Sometimes I needed her help in the evening or sometimes early in the morning. Regardless, she was always able to help, I am sure it wasn’t always easy for her but she made it work for me (thanks Karen!). Currently, Karen stops by Monday through Friday weekly and neither my pup nor I would want it any other way. My boy also loves his Karen time. He loves when she comes to visit, sometimes I feel like he’s looking for her at her normal time even when I am home. I also enjoy the pictures she sends me from their meet ups. This isn’t just a job to Karen , she really loves coming to see my boy. Part of me did not want to write a review. Reason being, I thoroughly enjoy Karen being a secret only a select few know about. However, due to how wonderful of a person and worker she is, I have to help spread the word of FurKids of PA. Your pets will be happy as will you.
Karen at Fur Kids is an amazing pet sitter! We've been using her for more than 7 years. She's cared for our cats, our fish, and even our hamster! She always goes above and beyond to make sure our property is cared for while we are away, from bringing in the mail to watering the plants! Karen has bought treats when we've run out, fixed our cat feeder, and several times has extended her services for additional days with little notice when our trips have run long. She's incredible! Karen is wonderful! She's taken care of our three dogs when we were out of town and takes them on their regular walks as well. The pups always complete their walks with big smiles on their faces and they sense, as I do, that she is a real dog person and cares for them and all animals which is very important to us. Karen is professional and conscientious. She texted me pics of our pups when we were away and she sends updates on how they are doing which sets our minds at ease. I highly recommend her.
My beasties (2 cats) are my babies and when my friend who took care of them for me moved away, I didn't know what I was going to do. Karen is amazing. We received daily texts letting us know how each visit went. When we came home, both cats were happy, content and very well cared for. Mende is reliable, loving, and understanding. She has been walking my dog Max for about a year now and I can always trust her to be communicative, show up consistently, make sure that Max is safe, and show him love as if he is her own. I love receiving pictures and updates from her on their walks, and she’s flexible if timing needs to be changed or if there’s a special request (like to feed him after his walk). My dog Buckley is 12 years old and has never stayed with anyone except my brother. I was concerned he would be unhappy and worried staying anywhere else. He was very content and happy with Kat at Barks & Parks and seemed to bond with them right away. She sent pictures every day and updated me as to what she was doing with him. I felt very good knowing he was being taken care of and enjoying his stay. I would recommend Kat to give your fur baby a home atmosphere while you are away.
Kat was amazing with Noah during his 3-day boarding. I was immediately comforted when talking to her the first time, hearing about her experience and ambition in transitioning to animal care full-time. Her place was clean, spacious, with a quaint outdoor patio. Noah has separation anxiety so I was very nervous and picky about where he would stay. He was wagging his tail and happy when we picked him up. A 5-star experience! Thanks Kat!
This was our first time boarding our furbaby, Nala, so we were naturally a bit nervous. From the first moment we met Kat, she put us at ease and left us with the impression that she would love on our dog..and we were right! Every day, she followed our instructions and suggestions to a “T”; taking our dog on two walks a day, spoiling her rotten. I think Nala still misses her! 😂 if we are in need of boarding again, Kat will be our first choice and would highly recommend Barks&Parks Pet Services!
Kat took care of my dog as part of her doggie daycare service. She kindly both picked him up and brought him back to my home. While under her care they took several walks, and she shared pictures via a dog sitting app, which was awesome. When my pup returned, he was was happy and clearly had a great time. 5 STARS!!! VERY Happy with this service! My dog Deanna is 10.5 yrs old and recently started having seizures (in March of 2022). We went on vacation in May and booked her with a local kennel (NOT this one). I couldn't confirm that they were or were not giving her her seizure meds, as when we returned & picked her up she had a seizure that night and several more a day afterward. Needless to say when it came time to go to Lancaster PA for a vacation in July which is 2.5 hrs from home, I was VERY worried on where I would leave her and what I would do if something should happen. THEN I found Barks & Parks Pet Services!! We drove out, dropped her off with Kat, and then went to our hotel which was 10 minutes away! Talk about convenience! Deanna had a WONDERFUL TIME there!!! She got along with the other dogs (which is not the norm!). When I first dropper her off the 1st day she seemed apprehensive which I expected. I did NOT expect to hear how well she was getting along with her new friends and how after a few days was fitting right in to her old routine! I wish I could leave her there ANY time we go away! This is a WONDERFUL alternative to a regular kennel. It is a regular house, where the dogs are in a more home-like environment as opposed to in a kennel. I highly recommend barks & parks!!
Kat’s service through Barks & Parks was exceptional!! Our little dog was walked and cared for so well, we were afraid she wouldn’t want to come home. We received twice daily updates on how she was doing along with the cutest pictures. We can’t thank Steph and her amazing team for taking such great care of our 2 pups while we were away on vacation. Our 2 dogs are use to always being with family when we’re away. Steph, Kristin, Caroline and the team take fantastic care of my fur babies when I'm traveling for work and for fun. I'm always secure in knowing that everything at home is going to be ok. Bella and Nessie love their visits, especially Nessie who is normally skittish and afraid of anything outside of her normal. She becomes so social with them. Love Happy Trails! 😺❤️
Happy Trails is the best! It can be so stressful leaving pets behind but I never have a single worry knowing they’ll be here taking care of my fur babies. From fish to cats, dogs, chickens etc. they do it all. They even made sure my wilting plant was watered. Everything was sparkling clean and all pets were happy and healthy when I arrived home. I didn’t have any stress coming home from my trip because there was nothing to catch up on - it was all done! I have recommended them in the past and will continue to do so. They are amazing.
We Love Happy Trails.. always know that our girls are taken care of and loved when we are not home. Plenty of walks, treats, and that extra special care we want for our girls. We have used Happy Trails for about 3 years to take care of our cat. Steph and team (Kristin, Caroline, Lindsay) are all fantastic! They take great care of Miss Whiskers and she loves them. Happy Trails took the best care of our Storm girl while we were away on vacation. We’ve always boarded her in the past while away and she’s never really thrived in those environments. She’s always stressed herself out to the point of getting sick and coming home to a sick pup is never fun for anyone. Steph and her team were on top of everything…super communicative, responsive, followed all instructions and most importantly took great care of our pup. I’ll for sure be using them again when we go away!

My older doodle has boarded w Julie’s families for several years w good success. Her families are carefully vetted. Also important to me is that Julie checks on the dog’s well being throughout the duration of the stay.
We have used Dog Boarding with Families (DBF) multiple times and at multiple local locations (eg Wayne) in the past 6 months. We have had a great experience from everything to pre-meeting our host families to logistics including drop off, pick up and payment. What a great experience ! We had to go out of town and I was so stressed out because our usual dog sitter was on vacation, I called Julie because I needed someone the next day , Julie was so helpful she found us someone right away, she paired our dog Millie with Judy who was also absolutely amazing , Millie stayed with with Judy for three nights. Julie and her team are not only professionals they are true animal lovers. Our sitter Alex went out his way to make our shy dog comfortable! Our house was kept clean and organized and our pets were calm and happy when we got home!!

Julie has been helping me find a friendly, loving, comfortable home for my dog Rocky for the past six years. It makes taking a trip so easy. I never worry about Rocky when we are out of town. He is cared for just as he would be in his own home. He has stayed with a few different families over the past years and each one has been wonderful! Sharing lots of pictures and letting him snuggle next to them on the couch just like he enjoys doing with us at home. Julie knows what she is doing and offers a valuable service!
We are very happy with the family Julie placed us with. We continue to drop off our dog, Boomer, with them when we travel. We have gone on 3 trips and have already booked them for a trip in September. The family is very nice and takes great care of Boomer. We highly recommend Julie and her boarding business.
