We Highly recommend Heather. Let me explain a brief history of my 3 year old Rottweiler , pre visit with Heather . For just about a year we had been battling Chronic Pancreatitis with our Rottweiler, in and out of the Vet . Many emergency visits and thousands of dollars. She was put on a low fat gastrointestinal prescription diet. But she still kept getting flare ups and she would refuse to eat for days at a time and she would whine in pain. She laid around all day just looking depressed. She didn't want to play much and her energy levels were way down for her. She also had such bad breath. I decided to message Heather she got right back to me and we had the most informative appointment. We followed Heather's recommendations and We changed our Rottweiler food from the prescription diet to me preparing her food. I knew the first few days after starting her on her new diet that she was feeling better. She started having more energy, wanting to eat and not whining in pain when she ate. We are 2 months into this new way of eating and we have not had one Pancreatitis episode, no pain , no throwing up, her coat is so shinny she doesn't smell and she is just happy . It's worth the meal prepping and worth not having to go to the vet . Thank you Heather 😊.

We planned a 21-day trip across the country, something we had never done in our 50+ years of marriage. Initially our biggest concern was not the planning and scheduling, but the care of our fur babies while we were gone. We were so blessed to find Heather. Being that she is a Registered Certified Vet Tech gave us confidence that if any medical or physical issues would arise, they would be addressed immediately and professionally. But we got more than that. She opened her home and her heart and focused on their physical comfort and emotional needs, as well. Before we arrived, she had purchased a “tree house” for “CC” the kitty, so she could get accustomed to her surroundings before allowing her to roam free around the house. She welcomed our puppy's, ”Obie” and “Mia”, with all their bedding, toys and food to make sure they felt at home as much as possible. On top of everything else, she kept in constant contact with us reporting their activities and sending photos of them sleeping, exploring and playing. She went to great lengths to make us confident they were happy and well cared for, and for that we are so grateful. Heather is an amazing veterinary nurse who is very knowledgeable and caring. We had a phone consultation with her because our dog had irritation post-grooming. Heather was very helpful and provided us with options and gave us advice to help the irritation. She also answered all of our questions and made us feel much better after the call. I highly recommend Botanical Vet Tech Pet Nurse. Thay were wonderful to my Little Yorkie. Sunshine is everything to me, and to leave her for 3 days was a hard decision to have to make. But Heather and her family was just great with her thay really made her part of their family and spoiled her just like I do. I was sent daily videos of her enjoying her time with them. She was walked every day and she played and ate normally. Seeing this made me feel really good about leaving her. Heather will go above and beyond to make your pet comfortable and loved in her care! I would gladly let her take care of my precious Sunshine again. So will you!

Botanical Vet Tech Pet Nursing took excellent care of our 10 year old chihuahua/fox terrier mix. It was so nice to travel knowing our pet was in a loving family home. Her temperament upon our return was calm and happy! I would highly recommend this business!

My name is Tamara. Heather has helped me with my personal dogs and a number of rescue dogs. She is always there when I come across a health concern. My current dog Piper a 10 yr old boxer mixed was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. Since starting her on enzymes probiotics and overall health supplement along with diet change. Piper has shown improvement in her overall wellness and her levels in her blood work have decreased . Which is an improvement that even surprised her vet. I can't say enough about Heather's compassion. For the animals and humans alike. I would definitely recommend setting up a consult with Heather if your pet is suffering from an Illness or you just want to improve there overall health.

Heather helped me determine next steps with my 3 year old Scottish Terrier who is having GI issues out of the blue. While I trust my vet, he is interested in treating the symptoms, which is great, but doesn’t get to the bottom of the potential issue. Heather helped me with questions for my vet, suggested testing, and long-term diets for my likely food sensitive pup. After taking an extensive history and asking all the right questions, Heather shared her knowledge and resources with me. I’m so grateful for her help!

People !! Do not hesitate to book Heather. She is a valuable resource in your Pet’s care. I used her for a ‘difficult’ nail trim and nutrition counseling for my two young Cats. She came prepared with like 3 simple devices as a back up plan, should we need them for the trim. We discussed what might work best, and it turned out we needed none of the tools. Of course my ‘nail trim monster’ was basically an angel for us. I loved that I learned about 3 new things in my arsenal, should I need them later. I knew before I met her, that we were like minded in the nutrition and care dept. She is a mix of conventional educated care, with a wealth of knowledge in the Herbal Dept. It was obvious to me from her FB that she was a passionate animal person. Sometimes cats are underserved by professionals, so you need to find the right person to help. We spent around an hour discussing my cat’s weight issue, health concerns, and she had researched every single food and treat I had submitted to her before our meeting. She had practical , useful, changes that I Could make right away, and she offered me many alternatives that I’d never heard of. She was worth very penny and is in incredible wealth of knowledge. Do this to educate yourself, do this for your pet , prevent Vet visits in the future by making simple changes now. I live in Redding, she is located in Red Bluff. If she was closer she’d absolutely be my number one choice as a Pet Sitter, etc. If your struggling with giving your pet a pill, or new medical procedures you need to do for your pet, learning how to do it yourself, aftercare from surgery, etc. Anything pet related, you will want Heather.

I have had a great experience with heather. I reach out to her because my Dalmatian Elsa was having allergie symptoms. Heather helped me and educated me about what’s best for Elsa health. I’ve learned what foods to feed as well as various supplements to incorporate in her diet. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and is able to answer all of my questions in a way that makes sense and is easy to understand. She’s caring , patient, understanding, and compassionate, and her support and guidance has helped me make a change in Elsa’s life for the better. She truly loves animals .

When I decided to get a Cane Corso/Border Collie mix puppy, I knew he would likely be a handful! Cheryl and Rob have been amazing in training both my 5 month old puppy and me! I am learning a lot and so is my pup! They’re very patient and knowledgeable.

C&R Dog training is the BEST! Brought my 6month old lab for duck training. I was worried that training would change my dog’s personality. Ron assured me that I would get my family dog back and he would do his best to duck train Murphy (my big red lab) Ron explained his training and style. Pain and or punishment is not the way. Consistency and positive reinforcement. Ron and Murphy (my big red lab) Did just that. It took some time for training, but in the end… I have a very well behaved, sweet, duck 🦆 loving retriever. CH Dog Training has done an awesome job training our GSD. It is so nice walking a dog as big as a GSD that is not constantly distracted and pulling you everywhere. Our Vreni walks right beside us and we are now in total control of her actions. They are such a good influence on Vreni that we send her over at least twice a week, just so she can spend time with Cheryl and play with all the other dogs. She comes home exhausted and gets plenty of exercise every-time she visits. I recommend 100%

My Rottweiler loves Cheryl! Our vet recommended CR Dog training, and had told us about these amazing success stories. We signed up for four weeks and could not be happier. My very large puppy walks like a dream on the leash. She follows my lead and knows her place. I cannot say enough great things about them. If you are looking for a trainer, do yourself a favor and call Cheryl first!

I took my German Shorthair puppy to CR Dog Training and she stayed with them for 30 days. I can say that they are absolutely amazing. I got many updates, pictures and videos of my puppy through out her stay with them. They loved her like there own and were sad to see her go. We had three mini sessions through out her stay so we could learn how to continue to work with our puppy at home. They even stayed in contact with us after we took our puppy home to ask how it was going. I will definitely be sending more of my dogs there if it is needed.

I had taken our sweet pup to CR Dog Training, where she stayed for 30 days; they loved her like their own. I received frequent updates, photos, and met there for mini sessions while she stayed. Cheryl and Rob are so incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and easy to talk with. I'm glad I took our girl to them - I don't regret it and plan on working with them to continue with my dogs training for Canine Good Citizen and to prep for the test for Therapy Dog certification. I couldn't say enough about CR Dog Training!!!

I got a large puppy ( large full grown dog still puppy behaved ) from the shelter. Tho he was very sweet in personality he had no manners or boundaries. He jumped on people and was overly affectionate. He would paw and you for cuddles with his giant paws and push his weight on you for cuddles. Tho he was a sweet boy we knew he needed to work on a few things. CR dog training kept our sweet boy sweet and still taught him all his commands and mostly boundaries! I don't think he's jumped 1x on anyone since home! Definitely recommend!!!

CR Dog Training is an excellent place to train your dog & you. I had no knowledge in training a dog, he hadn't been trained at all & he was a rescue. The training we received was a life saver. My dog was in their care for 2 months & during that time I received pictures, videos & updates on my dogs progress & his achievements while there. My nervous dog, who was afraid of everthing & everyone turned into a much calmer dog, obedient & happy. He doesn't loose it when he sees any other dog(s), no barking at people & even can tolerate most cats. I became a calm & confident owner commited to the continued training I needed as well. CR is professional, knowledgeable & truly care about the dogs that they teach manners to. I absolutely recommend this business & their commitment to helping dogs & their owners is paramount. Rob and Cheryl are fantastic dog trainers. As a first time large dog owner they have greatly helped us train our black lab. They have a lot of experience. They have taught me so much about Dog’s behavior. They have been extremely flexible to our specific needs. They’re very friendly people who make the training sessions enjoyable. Through our training we now have a 75lb black lab that lives with a 9lb Yorkie worry free. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful trainers. Truly dedicated to connecting dogs and their people. Cheryl and Rob read dogs extremely well. They are patient, kind, firm and consistent in their methods. We are starting our 3rd dog with them. Each dog has been unique and they have worked with each one's personality brilliantly. I absolutely can't say enough good about our experiences.

He took great care of my 1 year old Pyrenees Odin over the weekend. He took pictures as seen below over his stay also. I recommend them 110%.

We had a trip planned to Montana post-thanksgiving, and our regular dog sitter cancelled due to illness. Jeffrey & family took great care of our frenchie for the week, followed her med schedule, and sent lots of updates with pics. Highly recommended and we will use them in the future

Arrived at Mr. Carlsons home to board my dog for a few days for Thanksgiving and immediately felt uneasy. My husband was standing by the gate because we were waiting for him to open it and when he let us in he acted angry asking my husband if he was pulling on the gate in which he replied no sir, I definitely was not touching your gate. That seemed to be resolved so I get my dog out to take her in and I ask if I could see where she will be staying. He immediately blocks the door and says no. Which I felt was weird and I said I’d feel more comfortable seeing where she will be staying. He said if you would have arrived early you could have! In a very stern voice. I arrived at 5:10 had to wait 15min before he let us in. Over the phone I asked when I should arrive and he said around 5 would be fine. He also stated that there were kids and dogs running around which was why I couldn’t come in. He keeps the dogs out to free roam his house. I said that was ok I would just feel comfortable if I could take a look. He said no again and I asked for my deposit back and he refused. When we spoke on the phone he made it sound like they would have their own area and be crated. Seems like a sketchy guy trying to make a quick buck. I do not recommend!

Another review said that Jeffery was angry for showing up early, he was also angry that we were early. Our instinct was to leave with our pets but we had a flight to catch. We returned after three days and called a half an hour away and when we arrived he would not bring our pets out since we were 1 hour early. Our pets were both sick with diarrea and internal bleeding and one had a cut on his face and a severe infection to his foot, I would not recommend this business to anyone if you love your pets.

We left our Jack Russel and elderly mixed breed with Carlson canine castle for 3 nights while on vacation. When we returned both of our pets had severe diarrhea and bleading internally. The Jack Russel had a puncture to his face, a broken tooth and a severe infection to his foot that we are still dealing with a month later. Jeffry stated that our Jack Russel was trying to claw his way through his metal fence and that is what caused all the damage to him ( why was he allowed to do this, No supervision ? ) This can all be corroberated by our vet. This facility should close it's doors immediately as it is unsafe to say the least. UPDATE: Very little if any of Jeffry's response is true. NO neither Ivan or Boo have anxiety as his photos indicate when dropped off. NO they did not have colitis, They BOTH had severe diarrhea and internal bleeding from a contamination of water, surface areas of the facility or something on the premises ( No it did not clear up in 2 days Jeffry it was more than a week ) YES our vet is retiring but fully licensed and sees some of his long time patrons. ( The first of three vet bills WAS sent and Jeffry only paid half of the first one and stated that he would pay the remainder and never did ) THE SPAM accusation is not true, I believe that if a business provides bad service that others should know about it. I believe this business is a danger to pets and would never trust Jeffry to take care of them again. ( my last negative review of a business was left over a year ago so NO I do not leave spam ) We arrived to drop our pets off a few minutes early and Jeffry was visably angry, we should not have left them at that point. As the other negative feedback shows Jeffry has an anger problem, is unreliable, does not watch pets properly, has an unclean facility and will say anything to shirk his responsibility. NEVER once did he call to ask how our pets were during their illness and injuries, does he care about our pets ? His facility is also on the Shasta County Sherrifs watch for that area. Anyone with a similar experience should report it to the Shasta County Sherrifs Dept.

Jeffrey and Jessica Carlson are excellent care providers. I feel comfortable leaving my two high energy terriers in their care. Jeffrey plays fetch with them! He takes the time to prepare their meals as my dogs have special diets. Jeffrey and Jessica are compassionate about dogs in their care. I highly recommend Canine Castle to care for your dogs.

I have boarded my dog Rafael (65lb German Shepherd) with them more times than I can count and I highly recommend them. They are his home away from home. As we pull up their driveway Rafael gets so excited! As soon as I've opened the door he's flying out and sniffing around or waiting by the front door to be let in, tail wagging, big smile on his face, no thoughts about saying bye to me. They've sent me pictures of him playing around with the other pups they board while I'm away. Never had a bad incident. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The Carlsons are amazing! I moved to Redding for work and didn’t know a single person. I travel often and needed a dependable, safe place for my Sissy girl! They have exceeded my expectations. I have been a customer for over 2 years. I NEVER have to worry about my Sissy girl when I’m gone. I know she is safe and happy with them! What a blessing they have been ❤️

I cannot thank the kennel enough along with their amazing team. Our dog Toto has never stayed at a kennel before and he was there for 7 nights and 8 days. I was just the errand boy, I dropped off my daughters two dogs. The young man at the counter was very nice and helpful, and the dogs seemed to like him right off. The facility was clean and tidy.

Friendly staff. The outside pens are pretty muddy, but at least they get outside time. When I came to pick up my dog, there was a black lab running around and came up to my vehicle barking. The staff took it inside. I don't know if it was a local dog or boarding. The prices are very affordable. I like that it's back away from main roads.

Helpful and friendly staff make our kitty feel at home when we have to travel. The kitty section of this kennel is always clean and bright. When unoccupied cat compartments are available, they can be linked together so our cat has expanded living room. One cat gets their turn to use the main room where they can view the country side thru a big window.

They took great care of our pups for 10 days! We even got a few pictures from Kristen (thank you so much Kristen) on walks which was awesome and made me feel good about being away for so long. They are kind and communicate great. Clean kennels and had quite a few dogs trusted in their care.

Golden Kennels has done a great job taking care of a dog. It is very reasonably priced, and our dog does well there. We left him for an extended 3 week vacation, and our dog did great. He is a rescue with abandonment personality traits and came home happy.

Over the past year and a half, our young pup Tekla has been staying at the Golden Glen “resort and spa” for short periods while we are out of town. She comes home happy and healthy each time and seems to enjoy her time with the staff.

You can't find a better dog boarding place in the North state. Sometimes businesses shine because you can tell that the people who run it love what they do--that is exactly what one can expect from Golden Glen Kennels. The dogs are always excited when they see the staff, which makes leaving them so much easier. Couldn't recommend a better small business.

Took our dog Mabel here when our son had surgery out of town. It is a nice clean location, prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely be using Golden Glen Kennels again in the future. If you are looking for a place to board your dog, this is a great place.

Gary and his family are great! My Bullmastiff Bear loves it there, and is always wiped out when I bring him home...a tired dog is a happy dog!

Gary was extremely accommodating of our last-minute request when our dog sitter fell through. He clearly cares about all the animals he watches, and he has a great setup at his house. Our two dogs enjoyed their time there and I felt better knowing they were being cared for by a professional!

Gary was so accommodating for our last minute needs for our dog Bali. He kept us updated with photos of how much fun she was having. We could relax and enjoy our trip because we felt our pup was being cared for as if she were home with us. Bali came home happy and exhausted from all the fun she had!

I don't board my dog often so I'm very picky about where he goes. At Paws and Claws, i felt like Rocco was staying with a friend. He has a huge yard to play in and a cozy place to spend the night.

We just picked up are two little dogs from NorCal pet services after a 5 night stay. Are dogs were happy and well taken care of. The friendliest people ever. I had never boarded my almost 12 year old dog before and they offered a room for rough dogs the four days he was there he did absolutely great! Will go back he loves his friends at Nor Cal!!

After booking with them a month in advance they waited till we were on vacation to tell us our dogs vaccine was expired and wouldn’t take him. I have heard they have done this to other people as well, they will leave you stranded be carful.

My experience with nor cal pet services was amazing we had our puppy bear scheduled for a stay and where needing a shot still summer was able to recommend a local vet that got me in the same day at a reasonable price . And now we are all good to go thank you so much for the help and professionalism would definitely recommend.

They treat your animal with loving care, dignity & respect :) i wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby girl Sachi. She is a Shih Tzu and long hair Chihuahua mix ~ not an easy girl to trim she has a very thick undercoat and so much hair!!!! The girls there and Chris do an amazing job on my little girl! Most importantly ~ Sachi enjoys going!! They are the BEST!!!!!!!

My boy is so happy and clean. They were great with communication and letting me know what they would do for him. Due to family circumstances he was passed due for his spa day but they took such good care of my boy.

They were a bit unfriendly when dropping our dog off, assumed they were just busy.. 4.5 hours later they were done.. not sure why it took that long as we have never had to wait that long from any other groomer. When picking up, they were rude and unfriendly and made us pay before seeing the dog.. Made sense as he was not cut how asked, They did do a better job then i can do, but I've never cut a dogs hair before.

I made an appt to get my puppies nails trimmed. They weren't ready, were rude & didn't do the work well enough to keep her claws from tearing my skin open, which is why I took her. They have no ability to comfort a pup. She screamed, nor just cried. And they spent about 2 mins or less, but charged me the full amount. I couldn't wait to get us out of there. Never again. Don't take you animals here if you care about them.

She did a wonderful job with my dogs styling but, has a real problem dealing with animals. She’s rude and treats them harshly. Our dog came out traumatized and in shock. She was shaking a uncontrollably and didn’t want to return to be groomed again. Do not subject your pets to this type of treatment, it’s just not worth it, no matter the cost. We just found her a wonderful groomer an she couldn’t be happier. She was tentative at first, but our dog warmed up to her. She did a wonderful job and our dog came out so happy and joyful after her experience. We look forward to working with her again. Please do not expose your pets to this horrible groomer, take the time to know them and find one that works for you and your pet, you won’t regret it!

Fast and friendly. All the dogs were calm. They did a perfect job trimming George’s toenails which is always a worry for me. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely be going back

Im not sure what happend with them when I left but my dog was acting traumatized. 3 days later she had to go to an emergency vet for an abscess which cost $700.00

My German shepherd looked like a different dog after the visit. He has long hair and I just can't keep up with his coat. I know he feels better getting all the dead hair off. I'm very grateful for the service.

I have been bringing our golden retrievers here for more than a decade. They obviously love animals and their grooming skills surpass 5 stars. Don't hesitate to bring your pets - you will be more than satisfied.

There is only one service we use when we go out of town, and that’s Secret and her Fetch Pet Sitting. Secret has taken amazing care of our two big dogs and cat while we are out of town. We have used her overnight, and up to two weeks at a time. She is very responsible, and helps out not only with pet care, but is more than willing to collect your mail, water your plants etc. She is extremely trustworthy and texts us daily updates, along with pictures if we so desire. Our dogs and cat love Secret, we love Secret, and you will too!

Can't imagine allowing anyone to dog-sit our kids except Secret. Always professional, and on-time. Our dogs love her. Secret almost always sleeps over to care for our special needs cat. Living on 5 acres the dogs can be a handful. I have yet to have any problems with them, and it's very reassuring that Secret has a background in Veterinary Technology. Definitely our go-to pet person.

Secret has a way with animals. Our dog Jeter can be pretty rambunctious, and Secret will hold her palm out to him and he sits down immediately, tail going 100 mph in anticipation of his belly scratch. Secret is reliable and trustworthy. She has been dog sitting for us for years. I highly recommend her.

Secret is a dog whisperer! She was prompt, professional, congenial, and easy to be with. Lucy (our golden retriever) became friends right away. Secret stayed at our house and when we returned it looked as good as we left it. 5 stars from us! Thank you, Secret!
