The communication has always been excellent & timely. They have been very accommodating for any last minute changes especially with our sweet boy Fred who has epilepsy & frequent seizure episodes. They are ready to give him his meds. If ever necessary & that gives us peace of mind while we aren’t home with him! The boys are so excited on days they have their friends from Captain Flosse’s over to play & go on walks. After the visit they always send us a report card to notify us of which dog did what & share a nice visit summary including many photos which always brightens my day when I’m working! Thank you for taking care of our Bulls they adore you all!

They are extremely reliable and you can tell they genuinely love your pets and they take such good care of my 2 cats and large breed dog 💗 they have so many options of services available to a help you with what you need. Captain Flosse provides exceptional service. I have 4 cats, one of them is very nervous. Laura, the founder was very patient with him. She kept in constant contact with me, easing all worries about being away. The detailed reports and photos of every visit was very much appreciated. The plants liked her too!

Captain Flosse came highly recommended to me by a friend, and I am so grateful that they did. I hired them for three overnight stays and visits throughout the day. My dogs were very well cared for, as was my home, and I even got some of the cutest pictures ever of them playing in the yard. I will ALWAYS call Captain Flosse for each of my trips away.

I contacted many local pet care services before finding this business. First, I couldn't get any of them to visit my neighborhood. Also, I wanted to avoid hiring someone through sites like Rover, just a personal preference. Luckily, I found the absolute best when Captain Flosse was recommended to me. Truly the best! Professional, trustworthy, and caring! Suzi and Laura visit with my 15+yrs senior dog twice weekly. My girl has some minor behavioral issues and age related health issues. They work very well with her and these limitations she has. They genuinely care for her. They send a very detailed report and pictures after each visit. Everything is done through the app, including scheduling and payment. Very convenient! I've had to add last minute visits on days they don't normally come, they were super accommodating. No issues! Highly recommend!

I use them three days per week to get my two pups out on a walk while I'm at work. My dogs have grown to adore their walkers and I never have to worry if they will have a good day. We had the team dog sit our 3 dogs for 5 days, 2 times a day. We loved all the pictures and updates and never had to worry about our fur babies. The ladies were great with them! We highly recommend them and will be using them for now on in the future!

I can’t say enough good things about Captain Flosse! We engaged them to walk our Boxer for two weeks while we were in Italy. Everyday I received an update with details of the walk, lovely anecdotes about the experience and lots of great pictures. Our son stayed at home with her but due to his work schedule he was unable to walk her every morning. I never once worried about her being bored! And we were delayed one day getting back and they were able to add another walk that morning. I highly recommend them, they are professional, caring, dependable, and responsive. We recently had the most distressing experience with Dog Daze Cafe while boarding our dog. After dropping her off for what we expected to be a safe stay, we were shocked at the lack of communication and care. When we finally got her back she was clearly unwell. Once home, she began vomiting blood, and we had to rush her to the emergency vet. To make matters worse, during our initial attempts to check in, staff casually mentioned that she was “not doing well,” listing symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea as if it were no big deal. When we asked about their on-staff vet seeing her, they refused, saying the vet could not check on her. This was despite them already acknowledging her concerning symptoms. Their complete lack of communication and failure to act turned what should have been a reliable pet care service into a nightmare. We drove 12 hours straight from Michigan to get her back and spent the following morning crying, stressed, and racking up expensive vet bills—something that could have been avoided had they communicated and properly cared for her condition. Thankfully, she is recovering now, but she was left traumatized and ill after her stay. I cannot stress enough: do NOT trust Dog Daze Cafe with your pets. No family member deserves to be treated this way, and they should never have the responsibility of caring for anyone’s beloved pets.

Lady Charlee has been going for 5 years now and the employees are amazing with her. Over the years, she has evolved, its like school for her. She's really the judge for Big Easy. She's a very happy dog thanks to Big Easy-Dog Daze and I'm forever grateful for thr care she's received. Thank you for taking great care of our best friend.

We had such a great experience with Big Easy's overnight boarding. Everyone that we dealt with there was kind, caring, and experienced. Our dog Benny is very hesitant to warm up to new people. He gets scared easily, and it occasionally causes him to lash out at strangers who approach him. He also does not get along with other dogs. We told the staff about these issues when we scheduled our appointment, half expecting them to turn us away. They didn't. Instead they assured us that they would have no problem making Benny comfortable and would give him lots of individual play time with staff since he isn't able to play with the other dogs. By the time we went to pick him up a few days later, he had made friends with at least 3 new people there and seemed happy as a clam. The staff went above and beyond to make us and Benny comfortable. I can't imagine boarding him anywhere else now. *This picture is not actually of Big Easy. It's just Benny passed out on our couch after we got home.

I love bringing my dog here for daycare. They are so sweet and I can tell they give her lots of love. She comes home happy and tired!

Big Easy Dog Daze is the best dog day care. I've been taking my two dogs there for years twice per week they come home Happy and tired. The dogs have room to play always supervised with a great team that truly has all the dogs care as their first priority. When researching dog day care facilities way back, this is the only one that did not smell of urine they keep the place clean. I highly recommend Big Easy Dog Daze. My recommendation still stands the team at Big Easy Dog Daze is fantastic!

This place is amazing. I have a dog who has some behavior problems and does not do well in boarding or daycare, and we have been turned away from places before. Dog Daze not only didn't turn us away, but they worked with us to better understand our dog and her situation. Even when she had some behavior problems while staying there (more than once!), they continued to let her come back. They worked with us and continued to make changes in how they dealt with her, which included updating some of their internal processes after she managed to sneak her way into a closed off area. Communication is always great. When the dog does have an incident, we are notified right away and updated on what is happening. Most places would have asked us not to come back. Dog Daze worked with us to make sure everyone could have a good and safe experience. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful place to leave our challenging dog, and are so grateful at the willingness to work with animals that aren't typical in a way that is safe and enjoyable for everyone. I'm honestly not sure what we would have done for the past 7 years if we didn't have this place!

Excellent staff. Excellent care of our three dogs while we were out of town. They texted updates and pictures while we were gone. Both Dog Daze and the Big Easy (which we've used twice in dire circumstances with our doggies) are superb. You can rest assured when your pets are in the care of Dog Daze and the Big Easy! Highly recommended!!!

I arrived 15 min late for a grooming appt so I was asked to reschedule. I called multiple times trying to make an appt. When I finally got a return call I was told they got a new phone system but they tried calling me 3 times. Not True because there were no messages. I was finally offered an appt for the following week. When I showed up, I was told my pup wasn't on the schedule. The communication is so poor. It’s such a shame because the groomer does great work. This review is not a reflection of The Big Easy vet.

We have been going to Dog Daze since they opened and everyone that works there is so caring and loving. Our dog (who passed away last year) was so loved by the dog daze family and absolutely loved going to daycare! They really gave our dog and us support and love through out his time there - especially the last few months of his life. During boarding, when he wasn't feeling great they called us immediately and had one of the vets check him out. They really go above and beyond! Our new dog who we adopted this winter also loves going to dog daze! He is a little shy around new dogs and people and they have really helped him to become more confident. The dog daze staff really loves your dog as their own!

Yesterday was the first time we put our dog Rooney in daycare so my wife and I were definitely a little anxious. Everyone at Hounds Town made us and Rooney feel welcome and at ease. They did a great job explaining their process and answered any questions we had. We received updates upon requests and got many happy pictures of our dog. When we got Rooney back, she had the biggest smile on her face and was thoroughly tired (which is a difficult thing to accomplish for her). We will definitely be using Hounds Town and their various locations pretty consistently.

Maggie had a fun-filled spa and play day. She knew she was clean and cute! I felt very comfortable leaving Mags with Cory and the others at Hounds Town. They are super friendly, show a love for dogs and the building is very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend and great prices! Hounds Town will be Mag's go-to for spa and play day! My dog had a fantastic time at Hounds Town Strip and I feel 100% comfortable and excited to bring her there whenever I want (no booking necessary for daycare)! They are experts with dogs and their approach to pack play is brilliant! They are quick and friendly and efficient with dropoff and pickup, while also engaging the owners (moms and pops) in a community-centric way. They will remember your dog’s name the instant they see them, and treat them very well 🐶💛

Wonderful experience at HoundsTown - Pittsburgh (Strip District). As a native Pittsburgher (and a worker downtown), I wanted to find a good spot for my lil' doggo to go during the day while I am at work. Stella has been here a few times now and each time, on the way home, she is out like a light -- exhausted from her play day at HoundsTown Town. Beyond this, the team has been super helpful and accommodating to this dog dad -- so I could not be happier with their service.

Very good..when the director saw my pup needed a little bit of a different pace when introducing to a pup friend she improvised. She was warm and kind to my pup and answered all my questions and it gave me peace of mind he will be well taken care of when he goes there in a month.

I saw a Facebook invitation to have a First Free daycare day for my Dog. 1st, you could fill out information online which makes you appreciate that the facility is thorough. 2nd, there is an evaluation of your specific dog, energy level, age, personality. 3rd, if you haven't already, you provide vet information to show they have the needed vaccines and up to date. 4th, your dog meets quickly with another dog they feel is a good fit (out in front, where you are ) I met with three people and so did my pup. Now, all I have to do is take her down for her Free day. I have never boarded, daycare and even rarely dark parked. I was intrigued by this invitation. I might need it someday. Without this invitation I would have never checked it out. Thank you for that and I slightly nervously look forward to bring my Precious Girl down for the day.

We love our friends at Hounds Town! The amazing staff gives us peace of mind, whether it be for a day of daycare or a weekend of boarding. Seriously - this staff is something special, and if you’re looking for people that go the extra mile for your pet, you’ll find it at the Town. Their regular updates on how your pet is doing is much appreciated, and our boy always comes home happy, healthy, and exhausted. We love not having to make reservations for day care, and how easy drop off and pick up is. We just love Hounds Town!

Everyone is so lovely at Houndstown. I also love how they upload pictures of all the dogs each day! It makes it easier to be away from them.

Staff is always so wonderfully kind, caring and communicative! You can tell they really love the animals and that gives us such a peace of mind when we board our pups there! It’s also so nice that they post so many pictures daily so we can see our fur babies having fun while we’re away! The bathing and grooming optional services they provide are an excellent addition so our pups come home nice and fresh!

Our dogs Hugh & Lonnie were in the best hands at Hounds Town! They were there for 7 nights, and we had no issues. We loved seeing them on Instagram daily, and did not ever feel like we needed more contact. I did check in with the team once (nervous Mom here) on the 2nd day, but all was good and they made us feel very comfortable!

We cannot say enough about Camp Bow Wow, the team are amazing and so very kind to our pup and to us. The pictures we get from his enrichment sessions are the cutest ever.

This place is the best. The staff is so great there too. You can use their app to watch your pup on video at any time. My baby was so tired when she got home, which isn't a bad thing. She was enriched all day, and it gave me a nice piece of mind knowing she was having fun. Highly recommend.

I take King here whenever he is not able to travel with us. The employees are always accommodating to his needs. I love that they have cameras on the dogs, so I can see my pup whenever I miss him.

Absolutely love this place and the folks that work there! They knew my dog’s name before they knew mine; also he obviously has his own greetings with individual “camp counselors”. The two photos give you an idea of my dog’s experience at Camp Bow Wow North: the passed out pooch is after his first day at Camp (and pretty much after any day there); the other was taken by one of the trainers of the other resident with my dog after a private training session while he was an overnight camper when I needed to travel for a week.

Wether I am dropping off our dear miniature labradoodle for a play date or to be groomed, it is always a great experience. Everyone is kind and professional and most importantly our Lilo loves to attend Camp Bow. She is groomed their regularly and is always perfectly groomed.

UPDATE: 4 hours after I wrote this, my pup has been way more lethargic than I’ve ever seen her (we hike/exercise often), had watery stools, and her nose is SUPER dry. So, signs of dehydration. FOR SPENDING ONLY THREE HOURS THERE. Knocked my review down to 1 star. It was 93 degrees today, not okay to deprive a PUPPY of water for so long. I’m livid, disgusted, and will tell every dog owner I know to never bring their dog here. Update 2: …and she developed a cough 3 days later. 3 hours cost me $160 and a lot of stress this week. Honestly pretty crazy to me that people happily leave their dogs here. We just had an interview day for my 5 month old puppy and I rushed to pick her up after about 3 hours, and she will not be going back. The facility was loud, overcrowded, very smelly, and I hate that it's located right between a few busy/dangerous roads. The cameras and live feed barely work (the desktop version loses signal every few seconds and the mobile app works maybe 50% of the time). But, from what I could see - they don't separate dogs by size/age the way they advertise (the small/teacup and large dogs all mixed together at different points). My biggest concern was that there was almost NO water available for any of the dogs (my pup was panting from 30 mins in until I could get her back into my own house 2.5 hours later to get her some water). I'm guessing they try not to give the dogs too much water to avoid accidents or something, but that's absolutely not okay. Also in watching the cameras - the dogs were often left without supervision in the room and I saw dogs getting humped, aggressive dogs bothering/scaring more shy dogs, etc.. Overall, absolutely zero chance I'd ever leave my dog here for any extended period of time. Cannot believe this is one of my "best" options in the area.

I have a high energy pup that needs more engagement that I can give. He LOVES camp days and is exhausted when he comes home. Win for both of us. I don't make a habit of checking the cameras however, when I have, the counselors are always engaging the dogs.

I've used Camp Bow Wow North Hills for several years, and have always been pleased with the care and service they provide for my fur babies. Their staff is very knowledgeable and caring. My dogs love going there for daycare, and I have no worries when I need to board them for extended periods of time. If you are looking for a good group of people to take care of your dog, give them a try!

These people treat your pup like thier own! My Goldendoodle loves coming to play and they do the cutest enrichment activities like painting with your pup, holiday pictures, sniff and seek and extra snuggle time! 💕 I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Pittsburgh North! I’ve been taking my dog here for almost two years and couldn’t be happier with the service and all the people that work there!! They do a great job getting to know your dog and make sure they all have a safe and fun day!! If your like me and feel guilty leaving your pup home alone for 8 hours or just need to tire them out then I recommend this camp!!

DPD has been taking care of our dog Cooper since he was 12 weeks old and we couldn’t be more grateful for all their care over the last three years. They are always available via text and are very flexible with scheduling and moving walks. We have also had Cooper boarded with DPD many times and he always comes back a happy pup. They always provide photos and descriptions of the service which put a huge smile on our face when we are away. We just got back from a short trip to NYC and we used DPD for the very first time. Steve was really great with our dog Sophie. I loved getting the update reports and additional text messages that really set our minds at ease. We haven't been able to travel together in 6 years because we couldn't get anyone to watch Sophie and we didn't want her in a kennel. The DPD team has been so wonderful, they began walking my dog angus a year ago, I stopped using them recently due to a move but would recommend them to anyone. I have a large Staffy and he is incredibly difficult to walk and care for and they have handled him swimmingly and provide the cutest pictures and updates from his walks. We will miss working with DPD so much!

DPD has been crucial to being able to have a puppy while working full time out of the house! We got our puppy at 2 months old and DPD was able to start walking her right away- relived lots of our worries about going to work and helped us in potty training. Now she's 8 months and has started walking with other dogs for socialization! Kevin is exactly the person you'd want to speak with when getting started with a puppy- so knowledgable. The walkers are dependable, friendly in their communication, punctual and true animal lovers. We know Pierogi is in good hands everyday :) Plus our day is made getting a midday picture and update. We love the flexibility of cancellation, ease of use with their online portal and ability for last minute requests as my husband's schedule can change occasionally. We've also used the boarding services for a trip and again knew our pup was in good hands- she came back tired and happy after lots of outside play time! Highly recommend and are so happy to continue using their services!

We have a condo in Downtown PGH and a sweet new puppy! A friend of mine referred us to DTPD …. Every level of service and care was exceptional!!! Our little pup is excited every time someone comes to walk her … we also had to board her for two nights and there was no doubt how loved and cared for she was! Our cat looks forward to seeing them every time. They also help water our plants when needed. They have a dedicated place on their site to leave detailed instructions.

Couldn’t be happier with the DPD Team! The owner, Kevin, is awesome and taught me how to properly walk my dogs and fit my nearly unmanageable golden puppy with a collar that stopped his pulling. My dog walker, Tim, is very professional and has done wonders for my dogs. Tim’s communication is great and he sends me an update and pic after each walk. Every other member of the team have been great to work with and they’re quick to respond if I have a last minute request. I’ve been nothing but impressed with Downtown Pittsburgh Dogs and they’re worth every penny!!!

We have been using Downtown Pittsburgh Dogs to help fill in the gaps when we aren't able to walk our German Shorthaired Pointer puppy. The walkers always show up, they are all great with Luna, and we appreciate the post walk messages that they send. It is also incredibly easy to book appointments with the online portal. There have been a few times I needed last minute walks booked and they have a number you can text and someone always responds within a reasonable amount of time. Having a puppy, especially while working full time, can be stressful at times but having a trustworthy service like DPD around has made this experience so much less stressful. I appreciate this local Pittsburgh company and highly recommend (esp for my fellow healthcare workers who work long shifts!!).

Really wonderful service! Our dogs are very dog-selective and don't do well with traditional boarding services, so we were looking for an alternative during a weekend trip. Pied Piper Pet Sitters was perfect - our animals were able to be in a place that they were familiar with and stick to their regular routine. We got text updates and pictures with each visit, and everything was very reasonably priced. So pleased with this decision, and will definitely be coming back in the future!

Laura is the most kind, gentle, loving human who truly cares about the animals in her care. Our two cats are our entire world and we wouldn't leave them in just anyone's hands for a week while on vacation. Upon meeting Laura, we were blown away by her knowledge and attention to detail. She took notes during her visit and made us truly feel like our girls were in the best of care. While we were away, she sent us pictures and updates daily which always put a smile on our face! We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing that Laura was watching the girls. We can't wait to use her services again on our next trip! We are customers for life!

This is the best doggy daycare out there!! We started taking our Sheltie puppy Griffin here when he was about 8 months old and at the time he wasn’t always confident around other dogs, even occasionally hiding behind our legs at the dog park. So we weren’t sure how he would do, but Stacy made everything work smoothly! She has a process for all her new dogs, including always keeping a very close eye on the situation to make sure that everyone was safe. Because Griff’s adjustments to the new dogs and new surroundings were made slowly and carefully, he did great. Ever since he started going to Stacy’s (almost 2 years ago), Griffin has come so far out of his shell and has become WAY more confident around other dogs! Griffin always comes home SO happy (and tired!) from all the playtime both inside and outdoors (weather permitting of course). Stacy always sends GREAT photos, too (see attached), which never fail to make our day! We couldn’t be more grateful that Griffin has a home away from home where he can have fun and we can be 100% confident that he is safe!

We love Bow Wow Stay Now! Stacy sends daily pics when my dog Lulu is there and she is great with communication. Lulu has been shy with other dogs and taking her here has made her more confident to play with other dogs!

Our rescue, Sophie, loves Bow Wow Stay Now. Sophie is skittish but we were amazed at how she adapted to the environment that Stacy provides. Stacy keeps us informed with videos that are so reassuring and we were delighted to see her playing with the other dogs. I highly recommend Stacy and Bow Wow Stay Now.

We’ve been boarding our dog here for almost four years on extended overnight periods. He absolutely LOVES it and Stacy! She was recommended by a friend who boards there as well. I can’t say enough good things about how excited my baby dog gets when we are approaching, so much so he might likely just choose to live there if he could. Stacey is great to communicate with, always sends photos, videos and updates. The cost is beyond reasonable and especially for having free roam and a lovely environment instead of an anxious kennel dog area. Best kept secret that I hope stays a secret! Thank you

Bow Wow Stay Now pet sitter is the best I have had in Pittsburgh. I travel frequently and have great peace of mind with my 2yr old golden retriever! My golden practically runs me over when she sees them and knows she’s going to camp or for an overnight. The owners are very attentive to my dogs needs and constantly are sending me updates and pictures. They work around my schedule with pick up and drop of and make sure my dog feels comfortable and at home on their home! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend BowWowStayNow. Stacy is very accommodating regarding pick up and drop off times. Her place is clean and there is a nice/secure fenced in back yard. She is thorough in screening the dogs so all are current with shots. She is a very nice person and calm with the dogs. She treats my dog as if he is her own... one of the family!!!

I have boarded with them twice, the most recent one being almost 20 days, and they were always quick to respond and kept me constantly updated about his stay. They even recorded some of his play dates and sent pictures as well. The staff are so kind and it’s evident that they truly want the best for your pup! I highly recommend them!

Once again everybody at the dog stop has been wonderful! They continue to treat my pup as one of their own. Nova loves going to daycare and being one of their VIPs. She has a great time and loves all the attention she receives from staff!

I work at another dog daycare, but can’t take my pup there because she can jump their walls. I just started taking my pup to TDS Strip District and I am very happy! She’s a very nervous girl and has quickly warmed up to the staff. Arin and Sam (as well as a few other employees I’ve interacted with but unfortunately did not get their names) have been lovely to her, which is amazing! I was scared to have her at a daycare where I didn’t know the staff, but I’m very comfortable with her being here and am very thankful to the entire team!

Staff does great with Quinn. Always comes out of grooming looking amazing. Staff works with me by calling me 20 minutes before Quinn is done being groomed so I am able to pick her up very soon after as the barking noises makes her anxious.

Coco's happy place!! You can tell the staff really cares about the animals and their humans! Top notch facility right here!! They even have the best photoshoots several times a year.

Dog stop SD is the best. My dog loves going to daycare there more than anything. The staff is truly amazing and I know they Iove my dog so much. The facility has everything. Boarding, grooming, fun seasonal pictures, a store. I know my dog is happy and safe while he’s there. I wouldn’t even consider taking syrus anywhere else.

The Dog Stop in the Strip is a great place! Our pup has quite the quirky temperament and personality, and the staff have been very patient and kind with getting to know her. She may not be the most active dog while at daycare, but she is still being socialized and best of all taken care of by the great employees. It is great that you can pop on the app and take a look at what your dog is up to throughout the day. It is also very helpful that we can drop her off for a half or full day without any advanced notice. It makes life a lot easier! We would highly recommend it for someone looking for a safe, clean and welcoming place for their pet.

Luna loves hanging out here either for the day or overnight. The team is very attentive to her and she loves them for it. Highly recommend the Dog Stop!

The folks at the Dogstop in the Strip District are like family to me and my two pups!!!! They love them like they were their own!!! Highly recommended to anyone and everyone.
