I am planning on boarding my dog here later in May. I visited the facility and found it very clean and the staff very friendly. I hope to have a great experience with boarding with them!

We had never boarded our dogs before and our 4 yr old mini daschund had never been away from us before, so we were quite nervous. But Canine Carolina staff were amazing in answering all my crazy questions, putting my mind at ease and sent daily upd6and pictures. They took awesome care of our fur babies and would most definitely trust them again.

This was my first time boarding my puppers with Canine Carolina and I was MORE than impressed! So clean and I felt completely at ease leaving them there..Most definitely will use them every time I need to board my puppies!

Extremely inconsiderate. Dogs bark for hours at a time. They apparently don’t get enough information from the owners to know whether or not they get along with other animals. The facility is not knowledgeable enough to take care of them. Yes we have placed complaints with your facility. You've never responded. The police have been involved before. We have asked nicely numerous times. I will file another complaint so thank you. And have a nice day!

Loud and inconsiderate of neighbors I would have went less than one star but that's as far as It would go. The animals always sound like they are hurt they are crying and no one takes care of them to calm them down. Hours. Of crying and they don't care I would not ever consider letting them take care of any animals I owned * Add-on* We have filed complaints we have came down there multiple times asking politely to keep the noise level down we've even had law enforcement involved it is a noise problem. law enforcement is the one to recommend filling a civil suit against you, but I figured you and I can work things out more calmly. Also you do let more than one dog out at a time we seen that when we came down there. I have left my phone number and I've asked the staff to have the owner call me so we could speak I have yet to be contacted I was told that you had put an order against me for coming on to your property. We can see your facility from our home we're closer than you think noise carries from out of that valley. I have tried to be civil and have a adult conversation with the owner which does not want to call me back instead you decide to get forceful and say that I'm threatening you. When I have made several attempts to calmly discuss the situation, so yes it does come down to a more drastic move but the drasticness was started by you by taking a restraining order out against me for even coming on to your property.. instead of working the problem out with me.

Boarded my dog here for a week while we went on vacation! He had the best time and was WELL taken care of!! Highly recommend!

My little girl totally loves this place. She's been going to Paw Tales for day care well over a year and can't wait to go each day. All I have to do is ask her is are you going to school today and she goes crazy. When she drags you in the door each morning you know she enjoys her stay and loves the wonderful people that works there. I appreciate this place and the staff for loving our Wild Child Lily.

I took my corgi in May to this resort. Based on pictures online and my general first impressions when entering the building to leave my fur baby for an extended weekend, I thought I was leaving him in good hands. That was not the case. I booked a luxury room with a camera so I could check on him through out my absence. I paid extra for doggie daycare or playtime and interaction. I brought all of his food prepackaged and separated by AM/PM. I left feeling good about leaving him. I got to my destination and checked on him and it appeared he was tucked away for the evening as I thought he would be. The next morning I checked again and through out that day and there was little to no change. He was in his “cell” and had not left. Panting and anxious. He did have food and water but I noticed through his stay, the food didn’t change. I know this because of the placement of a treat on top of his food. I can promise you, I looked in on him 40-50 times a day. Nothing changed. I never saw him out of his “cell” I never saw a change in his food, I never saw a person with him or any kind of sign that made me feel like he was being taken care of and loved. Was he safe? Yes, he was inside, in the AC and not in danger. That’s about all I can say from this resort is they kept him safe. When I checked on him the morning I was to pick him up, I finally noticed his food changed. Mind you, I picked him up 3days after I dropped him off. I told resort what I noticed and saw on the live footage, I also asked questions as to why? Why was he treated like this? Can anyone confirm differences in what I witnessed. They had no answers. No one could say the took him out and played with him. No one could say he ate or that they even tried. When I took my baby home and went through his bag or supplies- all of the food I packed was gone! Where did 6bags of food go?!! He did not eat it sooooo what happened to it?! Anyhow, this was a long review but I wanted to give the story of what I experienced. Don’t judge a book by the cover. This lace is super fancy but I wouldn’t take any kind of animal to the resort if it was my last option.

My boxer loves his daycare! The Paw Takes staff are kind and always leave me feeling like they genuinely care about him.

I could not have asked for a better experience. All these years searching for a good place for my dogs and I finally found the one. Save the time and money anywhere else and please bring your fur babies here!!!❤️

Everytime I go just to get my dogs nails trimmed they have changed the price from $10 to $12,$15,now $18.I always get her groomed which is $55 I can't get her groomed every month like I would like get paid monthly.Have always been pleased with them.Would recommend anyone to take their dog.

I have found someone that knows how to groom a large dog and actually listen to your requests. Brianna knows Golden Retrievers and gave my cream a perfect cut. She sat on the floor with us when I dropped him off to listen to my specific requests and not only followed them but suggested other grooming ideas. The area is not crowded like many others and they even allowed him to go play until they were ready for him. Unlike another big groomer in Hickory, he was not made to sit in a kennel all day. This groomer and Paw Tales are the the BEST. Thank you Brianna!

It is difficult to find anyone that will groom cats locally, and I have two Himalayans who's coats will get matted as they will deter brushing. I have used Paw Tales numerous times to get them groomed without sedation. I understand how difficult it is to groom a cat and for the cost it is well worth it. They do a marvelous job and in a timely matter. If you're a feline owner and need help with with a matted coat I highly recommend Paw Tales 😻

Paw Tales has a great staff and facility. We have boarded there twice and also visited doggy daycare where the staff have been working to socialize our dog. Everyone has been so professional, kind and knowledgeable from the time you walk in the door to when you pick your fur baby back up. We are so pleased with the care our pup has received that I’d give Paw Tales 10 stars if I could. Thanks so much.

My boys love going to get trimmed at Paw Tales Lodge & Spa! They are trimmed perfectly as directed every time.

There are many places that will board your dog for the day. Most of that time, they will be kept in a crate or other confined space. Well, not at Paw Tales. When you leave your dog at Paw Tales for the day, they get to engage in fun play with other dogs ALL DAY LONG. My dog, Sadie, loves this place. All I have to do is say the phrase “doggy day care” and she gets crazy excited. And she comes home worn out because she has been playing all day. Sadie loves being with other dogs, but she’s our only pet. So this is an awesome way to give her the social time she loves.

Taylor took wonderful care our pup Arlo! She was always punctual and responsive. You can tell that she loves the animals that she cares for and they love her back!

Genise and Carson were both amazing! From the home visit to communication while we were traveling. The detailed updates with photos were heartwarming. You can tell they really care for your pets while you’re away!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Genise and Amy! They are absolutely phenomenal! They took care of our fur babies while we were out of town a few weeks ago and not only did they give them tender love and care but sent me amazing pictures at each visit! The love they have for animals is evident! Their website website allows you to put in instructions to the tee and they follow them and I love that you can edit it anytime! Their pricing is very fair and for all that they do and for my fur babies to stay in the comfort of their own home is a 100% win-win! 👍 I highly recommend their service and plan to use them again soon!

We were extremely happy with the care our three beagles received while we were away on vacation for 10 days. I loved that after each visit they sent photos and a summary. I was REALLY nervous leaving our fur babies with a new service after having the same pet sitter for many years, but after seeing how well things went after the first couple of days, I was able to really relax knowing that my trio was in good hands and well cared for. I would recommend Genise and her team to anyone.

My husband and I had a huge dilemma. A few weeks ago, we were supposed to leave for Massachusetts for our wedding and 3 days before we left our cat sitter had to back out. I was so relieved. While we were gone, she visited every day even though we only needed her every other day. I came home to treats and toys on the counter. She would send pictures and everything. Lucy sat with and took care of my two dogs and one cat, she was very professional and loved on my babies just like I would. She walked them, feed them, and I didn't have to worry about my fur babies at all while my Dad was in the hospital at Duke, so I was able to take care of my Dad, she even called me and asked about me and my Dad, and still calls and checks on us to this day! You can't find a better sitter for your fur babies!

Lucy is a very kind person, someone we have known for a long time. She adores pets and is excellent with them. Her family has been a big part of the local Humane Society. We are grateful for her help with our pets!

Lucy provided excellent care for our geriatric cat during our weeklong beach trip. She was a very compassionate caregiver and kept us updated daily on our cat. We will use her again every time we travel.

Our experience with Great Dog Days was simply AMAZING! 🤩 We were traveling from out of town and needed a dog sitter for the daytime. The communication in advance and during our visit was everything we needed to feel comfortable leaving our dog Winnie with Lesley. Winnie was definitely well taken care of and seemed to have really made friends with the other dog. The photos and communications throughout the day also helped us know Winnie was safe and in caring hands. I would absolutely give more than 5 stars if I could. We will definitely hire Great Dog Days again during future trips!!

Lesley has been coming to my place to walk my two little dogs (8 & 13 lbs) for a few months. We just moved here from California and I didn't know how I'd manage. I am so happy I found her! They love her, she takes pics and sends them to me, and texts me a daily report. She is a natural and a genuine dog person. Always reliable and responsive, warm and professional. We are very lucky to have her! She even made me this little picture today and texted it to me while I was at work!

We are so grateful for Leslie and Great Dog Days. Our Lucy was taken care of wonderfully. She has severe separation anxiety so finding a place that would give her the environment she needs was so important and Leslie did just that. Lots of toys, companionship, snuggles, and walks. She sent us photos and videos of Lucy throughout the day so we wouldn't worry. Leslie was very thorough and professional - getting health info etc, but was also friendly and easy to work with. Thank you so much for being so kind to Jager and doing exactly what you said you would do, for coming when you said you would come let him out and for spending some time with him. Leslie was a Godsend to us. We interviewed her and she did a meet and greet with our dog first and we found her to be charming. Our dog loved her immediately. She was very accommodating. We had to be out of town 12 hours a day every day for over a week. We are retired so Jager really needed her loving visits. Each day she sent us a photo and a video of him every time she came by to let him out which was awesome and gave us much needed peace of mind that he was okay. We highly recommend Great Dog Days and Leslie to anyone who wants to rest in complete confidence that their dog is being very well cared for. We certainly plan to use her again.

Lesley was SO great to work with! She was attentive with any questions we had and gave us several reports at how our pup was doing while we were away! She was incredibly friendly and our dog always had someone to play with. He was exhausted for days when we brought him back home! I highly recommend her service and we'll be sure to work with her in the future when we're away!

Great service for my pup. Lesley is easy to reach and wonderfully organized with her business's schedule. I loved the picture updates I got on their walks. And my dog had such a great time with her. Lesley was totally open to changing around her schedule to help me out one day, too. 11/10 would recommend!

While I am a dog sitter myself I have never used Lesley’s services. I have referred many of my own clients to her for different reasons. I have always received glowing comments about how Lesley takes care of her clients and especially how she takes care of the pets she has been put in charge of. We got to know each other working the same area and she is always happy and appreciative in doing what she does. We have used Kanupp several times and love them. Our dogs always come home exhausted from all the playtime they get! Our aussie is very particular about people but he loves going and does very well with them. We always get the best pictures and updates (these are some they've sent us). We will definitely continue to use them in the future!

Big mistake boarding our dog here for three days this past weekend. We were told when we made the reservation, that the dog would have bedding (elevated cot and blanket), as noted on the website…no bed provided. We were also informed that we could bring two toys for our dog. When we arrived, we were informed that the toys were not allowed under state law. Better staff training and communication would be helpful. Our dog spent three days without having her familiar toys and ended up sleeping on a cold concrete floor in her enclosure. The interior layout looks more like a detention facility than a boarding facility. We were also told that photos would be provided of our dog. We only received two pics after we called and asked for them. Needless to say, our dog was happy to be paroled.

Please do not take your dog to this place. I dropped off a happy, energetic goldendoodle. When I picked him up yesterday he was not acting himself and had a slight limp. I thought he was probably just tired. Today he is still wasn’t acting himself. After further investigation he has what appears to be a puncture wound/bite on his leg. He will be going to the vet tomorrow. I will never take my sweet dog there again and highly discourage my friends as well. Update: after a $210 vet bill, confirmed 1/2 inch puncture wound from a dog bite. I have updated the kennel and was told “we have notified our management” but no one from “management” has reached out. Please beware that “playtime” must be a free for all and your dog can get a significant injury and the people that are suppose to be supervising will be unaware and probably just tell you “he played hard and probably pulled a muscle” when you question what happened.

I drive all the way from Charlotte to board my dogs here! Marty and his team work very hard to make your dog feel safe and comfortable. I have two older German Short Haired Pointers that need a lot of attention and love and they get it from Marty and his team. If you want a place your dog can have fun and be taken care of then give Knuapp Kennels a try. This is a small business who prides themselves on customer service and focuses on your dog. I'm super protective when it comes to my pups even more so with our newest rescue pup Hudson, this 4 week, 3lb puppy entered our lives and stole our hearts during the lowest time of our lives as we were in the beginning stages of grief from the loss of our child, Hudson had his own tragic story as his Mom and siblings were struck by a car, he is the only survivor. To say I'm super protective is an understatement, I won't trust just anyone with his care. As Hudson grew his energy levels tripled, being part Husky and Aussie he desperately needed an outlet for all that energy. I stopped by Kanupp Kennels one afternoon, after meeting and speaking with the staff I decided to enroll Hudson in doggy daycare and I honestly couldn't be more pleased, they took the time to make Hudson and myself comfortable, these can be frightening experiences to any pup and pet parents but the caring and fantastic staff eased all our fears! My boy has a great time in daycare and has made quite a few friends! I can't thank Kanupp Kennels enough, Hudson has gone from a shy, skittish puppy to a dog with confidence!

Great groomers (Fonzie has gotten several compliments on his cut/styling). My Aussiedoodle loves them and having fun at daycare. The staff is professional and friendly. He is looking forward to more daycare times.

I was so nervous about boarding my dog for the first time. The owner suggested I bring her in for doggy day care for a few weeks leading up to boarding. My dog reactive pup LOVES group play at Kanupp Kennels so much that they have to wrangle her to get her to come home. They sent us pictures and kept us updated while she boarded. The staff are all extremely professional and caring.

Emma was AMAZING with my fur babies!!!!! The pet journals made my day while traveling to Germany and I always felt like my animals were happy, safe and well taken care of! This service is invaluable to me and my fiancé. We have a senior dog and a young cat and travel frequently for work. Our jobs also cause us to have unexpected extensions to our work days. Our dog walkers are very flexible with our schedules and adjust easily when we have last minute changes.

My husband and I have used Happy Tails a few times! There are times that we like to go out for long day trips and Happy Tails looks in on our fur babies for us. We also boarded our fur babies while we were in New York and we have always had a great experience! While we had them boarded they were never in crates and always had someone around to take care of them and give them human attention. Every time Happy Tails takes care of our animals they always take pictures and keep us posted on the events that went on while we were out of town. It's very comforting and it makes it easier to be away from home! They always do everything but is requested of them. I highly recommend Happy Tails and my husband and I will definitely be using them in the future!

Pam did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of my 2 pups. I was the anxious and nervous dog mom as I had never left my dogs in my own home while out of town - they hadn’t either. Pam did great with giving one of them medications if needed and made sure to give them lots of love while I was away. If I had an issue or concern, she was happy to quickly check on them to make sure they were okay. I love she takes the time to walk them, take them to the park, play with them, the walk is recorded, write a journal entry, AND take pictures, put my mind at ease. She made sure they were dressed for the cold; her whole concept and app are phenomenal. The pictures were my favorite part! I think they were happier to see her, than me when I finally got home lol! I know they were in great hands while I was away. I will definitely use Pam again, and refer her to other residents or friends. It is great she is in the same complex as I was. My flight was delayed for several hours, and she was happy to add on another visit to make sure they weren’t up all day. It was much appreciated. Lastly, she is such a kind and caring person. She makes sure you and your dogs are comfortable while you’re away. You will not he disappointed!
