We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Kate was an absolute dream and was the best pet sitter I could have possibly asked for! Kate was extremely trustworthy, communicative, and reliable, and provided frequent updates while I was away. She left my apartment spotlessly clean and even took the initiative to fix my wobbly towel bar. Finally, Kate took excellent care of my cat Daisy and I came home to a happy and content cat! Kate was amazing all around and I would be thrilled to have her sit for me again at any time. Thanks for everything!
Abby was truly the best pet sitter we've ever had. We were never concerned or worried about the care of our pups and home. All the neighbors have told me that the dogs looked happy on the many walks. She sent videos of photos about every other day. We hope that Abby will stay in our home next summer as well. Abby is very highly recommended by our whole family, including the dogs!!!
Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
Lani is an excellent Pet Sitter and housesitter. Communication was easy, our pet Cleo appreciated her loving care. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat. I would happily ask Lani to housesit again.
Samantha and Scott are great sitters and we enjoyed hearing from them a couple of times while we were away. Our pets were very relaxed and happy too! Very happy to recommend them.
Anant was a great sitter and a friendly guy. Kept me up to date re his arrival and with Marie & Toulouse during the sit. Found my house exactly as I had left it. Would highly recommend Anant to other pet parents.
Davis and Sydney were loving sitters for our pets. We even had an extra cat (our son's) and they took great care of all of the pets and our home. The pictures and the comments they sent showed us they figured out all of their quirky personalities very fast. It was nice to come home to a clean house and all pets were safe and happy! We would ask them back again.
I could not have asked for a better first time sitter experience! Terry & Vinnie were absolutely wonderful people. They took stellar care of my beloved pets and my home. Their communication with me was enough that I felt perfectly at ease during my time away and in turn, they were super responsive if I contacted them. My pets were relaxed and happy when I returned!
Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people. I give Angela and Joe my highest recommendation and feel that anyone would be very lucky to have them their sitters! I hope that they return to sit here again.

I have had good experiences with this kennel, and have left my dogs there for boarding on a couple of occasions. This time when I called I was asked to give my credit card for their file, which I have never been asked for before. This policy is not on the website, and asking for the 3 digit pin on the back is unnecessary. When I was told it was a new policy implemented this year, I knew that to be untrue as I had already boarded my pets this year. I dislike companies who change their policies on regular and reliable customers, without notification on their website. If there was an online form for booking with card, this new policy would make more sense.
My partner and I stopped in here today to possibly get our pup registered for daycare. There was no issue with the fact that they weren’t taking any new clients till the new year, however the individual who assisted us came through the door looking quite angry and continued to blank stare at me until I awkwardly asked about registration, from there I was dismissed pretty rudely and that was that. I’m not usually one to leave a bad review & I have no issue with them genuinely not having the capacity to take on new pups, but was thrown off by the way we were spoken to and ushered out the door. Thank you kindly to anyone who may read this & im sure by the other reviews this business has this isn’t a usual occurrence.
Betty and the staff at Stay n Play are THE BEST ! We have been taking our dogs there for 4 years now and can't imagine life without them. It's more then just a daycare. They love dogs and take a tone of pictures each day and post them on Facebook so you get to see what your fur baby is doing all day. They tell you if there was a sick dog at day care and know my dogs habits and behaviors so if something is off it can be taken care of. They celebrate each dogs birthday. They treat us and our dogs with respect and for all of those things I'm thankful. Stay n Play is much more then a daycare . They are a second family.
Hi, I am a retired RCMP Member of 33 years. I have spent more than 25 yrs of the 33 working with German Shepherds. I was a RCMP K9 Handler and Trainer for the RCMP. We bought a female from Yan, this dog is above and beyond what I expected from a local Breeder. This line of puppies are confident, inquisitive, energetic and going to be a great family and protection dog. And great looking line of dogs. Thank you Yan, you were a pleasure to deal with, your dogs are exceptional !! Mike Landry, St Marie New Brunswick.
They took great care of my two pups while I was on vacation!
They were friendly and were able to board my pet for extra days due to a personal crisis
Great agility classes. Tamara is a great instructor. Be patient learning agility takes time. Also good safe boarding and doggie daycare
Wally & Layla LOVE 'puppy play park'! Perfect for socialization and when you're on vacation.
These folks are true dog lovers. Your dogs are in good hands here. Don’t think twice about leaving them with Betty and her caring staff
First day going for training our dog, Was very informative and we where amazed on what our dog training looks like .
The best place to take care of your pup for the day! Friendly attentive staff. Great exercise and socialization for the pups. Hours are excellent for our busy schedule. Glad to be able to bring our fur kid there.
I started my dog at Bowlin Farms at about 7 months old and it did wonders socializing him and burning off his puppy energy! The Sunday socials are always a blast, and the staff is great.
Great staff, great facility. The only downside is my little beasty comea home a little dusty. Im always amazed how the pack are all running around happy and having fun. When we are pulling in my girl gets insanely excited!
Owners don’t care about their employees besides the 2 “managers”. One who is lazy, is high all the time and takes advantage of her position and the other who is young, has anger problems and is way too aggressive with some of the dogs. Myself and a few of the girls before me have brought up concerns of treatment of some of the dogs but they will not listen to it. Owner lives away (Ontario or out west) is a cop and is not friendly at all and as long as she’s getting her pay cheque she doesn’t care about anything anyone says. The other workers are great
Great welcoming Staff very respectful and professional, great with my Chico lots of room to play rates for Day care are very good Clean and Large play area’s
This is a great place for your dog to socialize and get tons of exercise, whether for half or a full day. Staff are great!
My dog loves his time at doggie day camp. The staff take great care of the dogs and are very friendly. The grounds are always clean and very spacious which allows lots of room for the dogs to run and play. Love the fact you can book for a few hours to a full day. Highly recommended!
My daughter works there. Way better than Jollytails.
We needed to take our 9 month old pup to Bowling several time while we were caring for my sick mother and they were very friendly and accommodating. Our pup had a great time playing with the other dogs and came home ready to rest! We will be back anytime.
Our dog loves this farm! We say, 'do you want to go play with the doggies?' And she bolts for the door! And when home is exhausted. Our favorite place to take her.
Dog came back to us after 2 days, lesion on her elbow, dog bite on her face. A week later she presented with symptoms of kennel cough, and we also got her face checked, and her face got infected, so now she's sick with kennel cough and is on antibiotics for her lesions. Never bringing our dog back there. They clearly need to pay closer attention, and maybe if they know kennel cough is going around, to sanitize areas better. Truly disappointed in our first boarding experience for our 7 month old puppy 😪
I can't say enough good things about Melanie and the staff at Cross Rd. Boarding. I've never felt so confident leaving my dog with anyone. Besides their wonderful manner and friendly demeanor... Melanie's facilities are certified 'fear free', she is a behavioral consultant, and part of the association of professional dog trainers. When I look for someone who I can trust to leave my dog that will use humane training methods and care, certifications like these are key. Our dog is an anxious fearful rescue dog who takes a while to warm up to strangers. She is reactive and very dog selective so leaving her with traditional boarders is not an option. Melanie caters to your dog's individual needs and I was put at ease our very first time when she told me Stella would have a fenced in outdoor area to herself. I also love that the number of dogs she takes in is kept small so as to provide the best care. We honestly don't know what we would do without Cross Road boarding!
Melanie took care of our border collie for a week in March of 2022. Oscar came back relaxed, happy, and squeaky clean thanks to the bath we ordered for our return. She was accessible during our vacation and sent us updates when we asked how he was doing. She has a large facility, has a lot of experience training dogs, and her rates are excellent. Highly recommended!
I am so thankful to have such a skilled and accommodating place to take my dog for daycare, overnight stays, nail trims and now groomings! Not to mention dog behavioral analysis, and guidance in appropriate training methods. Reasonable pricing, and always flexible with drop off/pick up times when needed. I would recommend this place to anyone, low or high need dogs. My dog isn't always easy to get along with and can get quite anxious, but he can't get enough of daycare and always comes home happy and content. Melanie has a wealth of canine knowledge and goes above and beyond to ensure every dog in her care is comfortable and happy, I wouldn't dream of taking my dog elsewhere!
The facilities are fantastic, and Melanie (the owner) is amazing - it's easy to see that she truly cares about all the dogs she looks after. Literally every time we bring our dog Roxy, she is ready to run to Melanie without so much as a backward glance, and seems to get lots of exercise and socialization. With an affordable overnight boarding cost, and accommodating pickup and drop off times, I would recommend this to anyone with a dog 🐶
Melanie is so sweet, and so knowledgeable. I was nervous leaving our pup for the first time overnight, but she made me feel comfortable. Our pup had a wonderful weekend at Cross Rd, and we won't hesitate to bring him back!
Great training advice, and great service. Melanie has steered us in the right direction with Gizmo's training on plenty of occasions. We put him in daycare once a week; he's safe and socialised, and we pick up a very tired, happy dog at the end of the day. That's worth every penny.
So happy to find this place for our 2 dogs. They were very well taken care of! They can stay together in a clean, warm, dry building with lots of outdoor time. You can order a bath and nail trim before pickup. Rates are very reasonable! Highly recommend this business
Lucy loves it there, right from the start. She whines and scratches at the door (bad Lucy lol) when we turn in she’s so happy and excited. I also really like that Melanie is educated in behavior science, it makes a difference :) I felt comfortable leaving Lucy there the first day even though she was a little unsure of her new place at first. That quickly changed
Out dog loves this kennel. It's our goto for overnights.
This is the only professional groomer I trust my dog with. She is amazing at what she does and she is a pet lover. Only go to see Courtney for all your pet grooming needs!! Update March 2022: still the very best groomer around and the only person I trust with my dog. Can't ever see this changing.
Coming down from Halifax to visit someone in the hospital, they graciously took in my Great Dane while I ran back to the hospital. Came back in a couple hours and my dog was obviously happy and content there. She's normally timid in new places, but not here. She'll be going there for every hospital visit for now on.
These ladies were great with Cattie-brie. She's an 80lb mastiff that hates getting her nails done . It took mins to get her mani and pedi ❤
Great place Courtney's great with the dogs soon as I take my dog out of the car she pulls me all the way up the ramp to go in 🥰 …
Courtney is extremely gentle and very good with all animals. Great place to take your pet.
Courtney is great and my dogs love going there ;)
My puppies were well cared for and I'd take them there again, they were referred to by Park Your Paws, thanks.
You can tell all pet that go in for grooming are loved like her own fur babies
Very good at grooming dogs and they all love her
Cooper and Amarok love staying here, when we are away!
They had our kitten for a week while we were away , they seemed to take good care of her but the staff isn't friendly at all.
We never worry when our cats are at Kittycare Inn. It's like leaving them with family. You can enjoy your trip and know they're safe.
I left my cats here for a week and I knew they were in great hands! They had a nice large room with a balcony outside. They came back happy and healthy. The team really cares about the cats and it's a super calm environment. They were flexible with our timing. We will be sure to have our cats stay here again
Warm and welcoming, Marilyn provided the best personalized and focused attention both our kitties deserved. It was their first time away, but Kitty Care Inn made it a wonderful stay. Room size was tailored to their needs for extra comfort & they were provided with some toys & exercise breaks for extra enjoyable time. Super clean and safe, you get a calming feeling of wellbeing as soon as you enter the place. There are safe balconies for a little extra sense of serenity. They got opened after the kitties were well settled, and only when the temperatures were at best. What we loved the most were the constant email updates with photos we received every week. Couldn't be happier!
Kitty Care Inn is just as their website says…”worth the drive to Milford” We have boarded our cats with Marilyn and Darlene since 2001 and have been impressed with the care accommodations and attention to detail from the very beginning. Our current feline, affectionately known as “Biggie Buddy” at Kitty Care, has been a frequent guest over the last 10 years and has always been very happy with his stay! Biggie is now an active senior cat with a health condition and has had benefit of Marilyn and Darlene’s extensive experience with cats of all ages. We, as owners, have also learned of helpful approaches to Biggie's care from Marilyn and Darlene based on their years of experience. They are attuned to the varied personalities, changes in behavior and general preferences of the cats in their care and provide them with a comfortable and safe environment away from home. Booking a stay for your cat is as easy as sending an email and the response has always been prompt. Communication regarding any concerns while we are away has always been easy. Kitty Care Inn has an established reputation with their local veterinarians and are also open to communicating with your own vet should that be necessary. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it has been for us to have such reliable and experienced care for Biggie when needed and do not hesitate to recommend the services of Kitty Care Inn when ever I can.
Just collected my kitty buddy TC from a 5 nights stay at the Kitty Care Inn. He gave me a huge paw thumbs up for his stay there. I know he was treated like a feline rockstar! Thank you to everyone who looked after him. See you again soon!
This is a fabulous place to board a cat. They truly love their job and you can feel assured that your cat is well taken care of! Would definitely recommend!
Our cats Owen Wilson and Trucker stayed at the Kitty Care inn for about 2 weeks. We required them to be picked up at the airport and transferred to the kennels which was done perfectly. Lots of communications from the Kennel to us the whole time. We supplied the cats food as they are both on a special diet and we wanted them to stay on it while we moved to NS. We got regular updates from the kennel with pictures of them enjoying sitting out in the sunny screened area outside.. When the stress of a move combined with not knowing what will come of the pets during the time away from the family.. it is nice to know there is places like Kitty Care Inn.. Our cats were so well looked after, they were picked up happy and healthy and stress free.. what a wonderful 1st experience for us. We will highly recommend this company to any military families posted to NS.. 100% perfection
As a cat only hospital we are often asked to recommend boarding facilities. Dr. Julia highly recommends the Kitty Care Inn - Marilyn and Darlene are very experienced cat people to whom she entrusts the care of her own cats when need arises.
Kitty Care Inn is an amazing hotel for Cats. I have boarded my cats for a number years and the ladies who care for them while I'm not home are very special. Any time they have been ill I have been contacted and medical care is never a problem. I feel my cats are so well looked after.
