I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Linda was an awesome pet sitter for my doggie Brodie! She gave him so much loving attention… he has some separation anxiety at 9 years old & she never left his side! She was so attentive to him & I am very grateful for that! Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you are privileged enough to ever have Janis sit we are certain that you will be as delighted and happy as we are.

Jennifer was great and I would highly recommend her. Right from the start, Jennifer was clear and helpful in her communication, and she was very available to us throughout the stay via messaging. She sent pics of our fur babies regularly - without asking - which always makes us happy when we're away. And the biggest compliment I can give: when we came home, our pets were relaxed and happy, and no hidden cat messes to be found (we've had this happen with previous sitters a lot). I would love to have Jennifer stay at our home again in future.

Thomas did an amazing job! We were very pleased with how well he was able to care for our 3 active Boston terriers. He was able to handle all 3 on a walk and feed them their special meal everyday. He even ventured out and took them to the beach which is no easy task for 3 excited dogs. Thomas did a great job communicating before and during the stay. We came home to a clean house with bedding washed. We had a handful of other pet sitters through this website and Thomas easily rates at the top of our list. Neil and Anne have just sat for us for a second time, for a week. They are outstanding sitters in every way. Always punctual with communication and arrival. They both have responsible jobs and this is evident as they are both very organised. They care very much about the animals they look after. We were regularly sent updates, pictures and video clips of them, which is great to see when you are away. When we came home we were greeted by happy pets and an immaculately tidy house. We cannot recommend Neil and Anne enough. As far as we are concerned they are perfect housesitters! …...Hopefully they will come back and sit again soon!

Dogs Day Care is one of the best decisions I’ve made for my pup! Winnie LOVES attending and is so excited each time she goes. Karen is amazing and is so caring towards every dog there. I was a little anxious when my miniature sausage dog went for the first time at a young age but Karen was very reassuring and sent me regular updates and pictures to let me know Winnie was doing okay. The area of which Dogs Day Care is located is beautiful and there is lots of land for the dogs to go for their daily walk. A life of luxury! I couldn’t recommend Dogs Day Care enough and I wouldn’t send Winnie anywhere else!
My dog absolutely loves going to Dogs Day Care. Fantastic location for the dogs to play - acres of private fields for walkies as well as their own garden to enjoy throughout the day with great facilities doggy sandpit and pool for the summer as well as Indoor areas that are just like being at home. Karen is great with the dogs and my boy always come home tired out and eager to go the next day. Highly recommended Dogs Day Care to anyone!
Our dog Coco has been attending daycare for 5 years now & has loved every session. She jumps out of the car and makes herself straight at home. Karen & Jim treat her like a princess, she enjoys the long walks, paddling pool, playing with her friends, and her favourite bed under the heater in the winter. We would highly recommend this amazing doggy daycare & have done to all our friends who now also attend, keep up the good work!
I highly recommend this doggy day care. Karen and Jim are friendly and welcoming ensuring the doggies are well looked after and tired when you collect them. My Labrador has been going for about 6 years and our recently rescued spaniel has now joined the crew. Both absolutely love running around the fields and playing with the other dogs. Fabulous place.
My Springer Spaniel, Milo, has been with Karen and the team for around five years now. I honestly wouldn't leave him with anyone else. From the moment I met Karen and saw the beautiful land the dogs can enjoy, paddling pool, sand pit and cozy beds, I knew it was the best place for him and that he was in the best hands. Milo loves turning into the drive and cries with excitement the whole way down to Day Care, then snores the whole way home! Thank you so much to the whole team for looking after him so brilliantly, and for tiring out my Dartmoor Beast!
Great location for any dog owner to leave their dog. Dogs day care is set on private land with plenty of room for dogs to run around. My dog loves going to day care & always comes home tired. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! 100% recommend Karen and the team to look after your fur baby!
Very professional set up. The dogs are cared for as if they are their own whilst also not being allowed to just ‘free roam’. They introduce new dogs calmly to the group and restrict numbers for safety of all. Large green site with a controlled dog walk included. Very rural and not a concrete play park like some others locally.
Dudley has been going to Dogs Day Care with Karen ( and Jim) and all his doggy friends, since he was 12 weeks old ( and his predecessor, Dillon, before him) He always leaps out of the car and is delighted to be there. He has lots of walk, games of ball and cuddles and usually doesn’t want to come home! Many are the days when I would happily stay there and send him to work in my place - he definitely has the better deal!
Karen and her team have been looking after Big Norm for a fair few years now, and they do so as if he was their own. He loves it there and always comes home shattered from all the exercise (sometimes muddy too - but that's mostly his own doing!) , but always desperate to go back. It's a fabulous facility, all the dogs are so well looked after and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dogs Day Care to anyone who asks!

Took great care of our precious dog Freddie and our house for two weeks and we had great communication from start to finish with Running Duck which put us at ease. We were kept up to date with photos and updates which was so lovely. He especially loved his walks and playtime with Glenn, and we could see they had really bonded. They really do look after your pet and home as their own. The house was kept safe, clean and garden watered too which was so appreciated. Having both retired, we planned a once in a lifetime 6 week trip to Australia, but were very anxious about leaving our pets, particularly our dear dog Barley. Jenny juggled schedules in order to fit around our dates, so that Glenn and Mandy were able to cover the whole of the time. They took excellent care of our home, our cat Chip's, and our precious boy, communicating with us regularly via WhatsApp, attaching pics and videos to reassure us.
Glenn & Mandy were excellent pet sitters. They visited us before our trip to meet us and our two spaniels. While we were away they kept in touch with photos & videos. We returned to two happy dogs who had been very well looked after. We have booked Glenn & Mandy again for next year and Jenny for our autumn trip. Highly recommended.
Instantly took to everyone concerned at the Running Duck Pet Services. Jenny is incredible at communicating and arranging cover, and Glenn and Mandy are fabulous with all our pets. We see the delight when they arrive on our Pugs faces, and it's non stop love, care, attention and frolics from the minute they arrive. We are kept up to date with pictures and communication daily whilst we are away. The Running Ducks are our absolute favourites, and they are now part of the family. All of them are such lovely genuine people. Highly recommend, although don't book them up too much please, as we need them free to cover our pets!!!
We would highly recommend Glen and Mandy. Our English Foxhound is a rescue and can get worried when new people first come to the house, so we were a little apprehensive at someone coming to stay. Glen and Mandy kindly came over one morning before the holiday and in no time Buddy was wagging his tail and Glen was his new best friend. From then on, we felt confident that Buddy would be very happy with them and we were right. Just back from holiday and Buddy has had a great week, with lovely walks, games and being spoilt and is his happy, relaxed self. Thank you for understanding our boy.
Glenn and Mandy looked after our 2 dogs and cat for 10 days. One of our dogs takes medication twice daily so it was important to us to feel comfortable with the people looking after them. Straight away Glenn put us at ease, he discussed everything we would need and reminded us of things we had not even considered, ie informing vets etc. We got daily updates from Mandy, enough to ensure our minds were at ease but timed perfectly so as not to bombard us during our time away. Our plants are in better condition than when we left due to Glenn's green fingers. Cannot recommend them enough, and have already booked next year's holiday!
We recently nipped off for some sun, leaving our two Lardy Labs in the very capable hands of Running Duck. This is our second trip since moving to Wiltshire and because Glenn was already booked, George came up from Dartmoor to attend to their every need 😆 We got regular photos of their hikes and chill out sessions, but we never worry about them when away as we know how much love and attention they are showered with. The house is always clean and tidy on our return, which is an added bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend Running Duck for not only your Fur Babies, but your home too.
This was the first time we had left our 2 year old lab overnight and we were apprehensive, mainly due to her suffering occasional seizures and needing daily meds, but from the start Jenny was great, she put our minds at ease. Communication was clear and responses speedy. Skye warmed to Glenn quickly and we have felt confident in booking a holiday for next year, so thank-you Running duck services, we would highly recommend Glenn & Mandy :)
