This was the 3rd time that Jill sat for us. That says it all but please read our previous reviews. They all stand and Jill is one of the best and most reliable and loving pet sitters we’ve ever had. If you have a chance to have her in your home and caring for your pets, you will be absolutely delighted. We love her.
Monique was very nice and easy to schedule with. She sent us pictures of our dog Maisie while we were away, which we enjoyed seeing. Maisie was well cared for and had gotten plenty of exercise by the time we got home. The house was spotless, which was lovely to come home to! She had taken the trash and recycling bins out, even though we hadn’t mentioned them to her before we left. She made sure to let us know if anything was amiss so there were no surprises when we returned. Would definitely recommend her as a pet and house sitter for others. :)
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Great pet care. The house was clean and tidy. The sitters had great communication. Would recommend again!
We've had many pet sitters over the years (this is our first time using this app) and Missy is the best sitter we've ever had for our dog and cats. Our pets, particularly our dog, adored her and was really sad to see her go. It is obvious she loves animals and immediately understood the pack dynamics and the pet personalities. She kept the house tidy, litter box clean, and the animals so well loved. Because she was traveling from far away, she stayed with us the night before our trip and the night we came back. It was a pleasure to get to know her. We would welcome her back to our house as a friend or a sitter anytime. Highly recommend!
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
Elaine was a welcomed sitter for Cyrus and Purrelli. I returned from holiday to find a very content relaxed dog and a happy fat cat. Purrelli doesn’t eat when he is stressed so seeing a little meat on him let me know he was content and happy :) My condo was left clean and in order, all communications were smooth and there was zero issues. Thx for the great pet care Elaine.
Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. I highly recommend Janis and you will be fortunate to have her as your sitter.
Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.

Adam, Gloria and Jess have been great to work with. Louis loved them all and really looks forward to his walks. He sits and waits for them to arrive as soon as he gets his walking collar on. They are very professional, caring and responsive! Thank you for walking my pup while I work! 💝
The Paw House is an amazing place for my dog Riley. I take him to puppy daycare once a week and he is always happy to be there. I’ve also boarded Riley there and they take very good care of him. Adam is an excellent dog trainer as well. Riley came home from training a much calmer dog which was one of our goals. Adam and his crew are super!
At The Paw House, they are courteous and conscientious dog lovers. They have a huge securely fenced in yard where dogs can run. They go the extra mile to ensure that your dogs stay is a great experience. The services they offer are worth every penny of the cost.
We're especially grateful to Adam at the Paw House NW, for gaining our rescue's trust. Bella has had a rough time trusting people since her days as a stray and Adam was able to bond with her because he knew she was fearful and not mean or agressive. That was a huge relief because we know how sweet she really is. We boarded both of our dogs at his place for several days and they returned home happy. That, right there deserves a 5-star review.
Adam and his partner run a top flight dog training, and daycare as well as other services needed for your best friend. I feel truly blessed that we found them. I highly recommend their services!!
Adam has been great. Not only giving Gracie (our 10 month old American Bulldog) extra excersize with walks, but has been amazing with her weekly training. She has went from an out of control puppy to one that will listen and I feel like we can control. She is happier and so are we. I so appreciate the Paw house and how they work with her. He is very good with teaching us how to communicate with Gracie and have her listen and learn. I would reccomend them to anyone. It is much better than going to a place like pet smart where you don't get one on one training and the dogs are to distracted to learn.
I have used The Paw House for drop in vistis quite a few times for our cat & dog, and I love them! They are very trustworthy and reliable. They have even been there on short notice! We have also used their daycare, they're really well set up and have lots of space for the dogs. I would absolutely recommend! They even have a taxi to pick up and drop off your dog if need be. It seems like our dog is very happy around them and loves to see them, which is very important to us!
We adopted our older dog in January of 2023. He came to us with some issues. We immediately began attending classes with him. At one point, I hired Adam to do some one-on-one training of our dog…and me! He was wonderfully patient and provided very clear instructions to make my training of our Hank much more productive. When we needed a boarding situation for Hank, we visited Adam’s home to see how he provides for the dogs he boards. It says in the advertising for The Paw House that “Your dog is treated as one of the family.” That’s exactly what Hank experiences each time he boards at Adam’s home. He sleeps in their house, gets treats, plays with companionable dogs, has some training, and is loved and played with. I particularly appreciate Adam’s range of knowledge about dog training and the genuine love he has for dogs.
Working with the Paw House has been so great! I never have to worry about a thing. They take such great care of my Winnie! Thank you Adam and your wonderful team for all you do. I highly recommend them.
Adam is a natural with animals. He has a gift. I trust him with my golden retriever to keep him safe and to create a wonderful pack environment. He treats Manny like one of his own. 💖 …
I started using West Eugene Kennels over a decade ago and always recommend them to anyone who kennels a dog. The team there has cared for 4 of our dogs in the past to include our two current fur babies. The dogs are so happy when there, they get to play with new friends and be outside to play as much as they want. The staff, especially the owner, are great and they love the girls too. While we do not use them as much as we have in the past because we are fortunate to have a close friend who will house and dog sit when available, but if she is not able too, there is no hesitation, a call goes out to West Eugene Kennel. One other side note, we have never heard no. We went through a tragic time in 2016 where we needed a kennel immediately so we could get to my father before he passed. They took the dogs with no problems and did not care how long they stayed, they were more worried about my wife and I and making sure we got to my father. This group is truly part of our family as far as our precious girls are concerned!! Thank all of you for making an awesome place for the girls!!
My 2 dogs love dog camp! They are rambunctious and can be a little crazy- but the staff here handle them with ease. I enjoy that they have various play groups and the dogs go in and out all day to play with friends or chill. I recommend this place!
Fast friendly service. Take good care of my dog. I don't worry about my dog with them. Gracie has a good time and I have a good time away from her lol and also given military discount
I am not a fan of the gentleman who just spoke with me over the phone concerning price. His tone and response made him seem almost offended when I asked if $40 per dog ($36 per dog since I have 2) per day was correct from the website. His statement regarded other kennels charging less as unprofessional. The kennel I currently use has top reviews and competitive pricing. Just amazing with my dogs, but too far away since I moved to the area. I just wanted to speak with a kennel (referred by a neighbor) closer to home to make my 10-12 overnight trips per month for work easier. Plus, look at these amazing, positive reviews. Instead, I left the conversation uneasy on the shortage of customer service/sales etiquette I received. Enough feeling about it to call for my own review. I’m sure this is a fine facility, but for 1/4 more (even double) what most other facilities charge, pushing qualified customers away with such an ugly attitude is unfortunate. As soon as he believed the price may be too high for me, he wanted off that phone call. Perhaps a chat about what makes your service “more professional” or better than others would have been a better tactic. I would have listened and considered the advice to make my decision.
We have had our dog there twice recently. I feel she was well cared for, especially with her special needs. Would recommend this kennel to anyone looking for a safe environment to board their dog.
We've left our girl here twice now, and she loves it! Plenty of outside time and playtime with other dogs, lots of chickens and ducks outside the fence to watch. The workers all knew her name and were very kind. This is what she looked like right after pick up after a 3 day stay! :D
I LOVE this place. Heidi and her crew make sure not only my dog is well cared for, but that I am kept in the loop too (anxious dog mom, here!) They send my pictures over text by request, and post photos on their facebook, too. What I love most about this place is the unpretentious attitude the staff has. No question is "too stupid" and no request "too much". I love that they have social play time with other dogs, as my dog loves to play with others! All the play areas are huge and are super secure with tall chain link fences and double lockout features. All in all, I love this place, and so does Mimsi. I find the price completely fair- as it is all inclusive instead of "a la carte" that some other kennels charge.
My dogs have stayed at this kennel several times. The owner is really flexible with drop off and pick up times. He remembers information about my dogs, as well as specific requests for them. Our dogs are always happy when we pick them up. We've been really pleased with the care the our dogs have received while being boarded.
They are an awesome place to leave your dogs if you need a loving caring place for daycare or overnight care. They take care of my boys when we go camping because they need socializing. Great prices and discounts for more than 1. Terry is the owner. Awesome guy!
The only place I trust to care for my Pepito. This place is perfect.
We were so nervous to leave our pup for the first time. We were gone for five days and Rooster came back happy and healthy and in good spirits. We couldn’t be happier with the treatment he received at orchard point. They were very patient with us as we asked for a ton of photos and updates, and our pup was able to run and play and snuggle with all the trainers. Great experience. Serious peace of mind for our family! Now we feel we can go on vacation worry-free, will 💯 be boarding with them next time. Thanks guys!
We are so happy with our experience with OPK! It was our first time leaving our 4 month old high energy puppy so we were nervous but he came home happy and healthy. We loved how often they sent pictures and videos throughout his stay and it was clear they took good care of him!
This was Hoss's first time here while we went on vacation...it was so nice to know he was in good hands! The app to communicate with staff is wonderful and they also sent update photos for all of his adventures! Hoss will be back!! He loved it!
I can’t thank the team enough at Orchard point kennels. Our puppy hula is absolutely treated like royalty and you can tell everyone at the facility loves animals. For hula this is a home away from home and anytime I take her or anytime I pick her up. She’s always so happy. Thank you for always taking care of her. Highly recommend.
Orchard Point has taken such good care of our two dogs, Max and Stella each time we have left them in their care. We have boarded them for a weekend and also dropped them off for day visits. The pups really enjoy spending time there, and we appreciated the photos and updates when they were there overnight.
My pit mixes Scooby and Nilla go here for training, and Ryan our trainer is just the best. He took time during our evaluation to get to know the full dynamic of our dogs and situation. We had our first lesson yesterday for Scooby and it went so well scooby got set up on the E-collar and we are starting our journey. Scooby has worked with over 4 different trainers in Texas and one here at a different facility unrelated to Orchard point Kennel. All that to add stats behind the statement that scooby is not an easy dog to work with. Ryan is the best we have worked with. Orchard point kennels is the best we have worked with.
Just picked our boy up today after his first time staying in pet lodging and he came back in high spirits and being his goofy self! Just booked his next stay. Featuring photos they sent us!
Douglas (my dog) and I are huge fans of OPK’s Barks and Rec! I’m very protective and particular about who I’m willing to leave Douglas with and this place exceeds even my highest expectations. All of the handlers are knowledgeable, experienced, and have an apparent and sincere adoration for the dogs there. They’re intentional about the playgroups they put him in and closely monitor them, which means that he can have consistently positive experiences and I can move through my day knowing that he is safe, attended to, and having a blast (evidenced in part by the very cute pictures they send me and his determination to stay there when it’s time to go home). Perhaps one of the best qualities of OPK– in addition to the way they love Douglas deeply – is that they don’t let him get away with bad manners! We are still in our early days of training so it’s important to me that the rules they expect him to follow are consistent with the rules I expect him to follow at home and they deliver. If I could dream up a perfect daycare, this would be it. And if you’re still not convinced that OPK is a special place, just spend any amount of time talking with the people there. A+ 1000/10
I am so happy to have found Barks And Rec to take my dog to for exercise and socialization. I rescued my dog Toby four years ago at about six months of age. As we both got older, he became more and more difficult for me to handle. My family was concerned he would knock me down and that I could break a hip. I did some research and found Mandy and Ryan. They had a boot camp for dog training and also a dog rescue for unwanted dogs! Their whole family was dedicated to bettering the lives of unfortunate dogs. ❤️ So off went Toby to bootcamp at age 3. His training was a success, he came home knowing what to do and how to listen, but I was not able to give Toby the exercise and socializing he needed. He became more anxious with a nervous energy over time. The time came that Toby and I had to move so to make it easier for all concerned, Toby went to board with Mandy and Ryan. That’s when I found out that they were opening Barks and Rec and expanding their dog boarding and daycare at Orchard Pointe Kennel just outside of Eugene. Toby now goes to daycare 3 days a week. He loves it so much. Just after a couple of months he is a different dog already. He’s calmer, and doesn’t seem anxious anymore. Toby and I are so blessed to have found Mandy, Ryan and family, and those that help run Barks and Rec. When we pull into Barks and Rec and as soon as Ryan takes him out of the car, Toby is so happy. As they walk away, Toby calmly walks by Ryan’s side and looks up at Ryan with his tail up and loosely wagging and never looks back…..
Recently I took a job that requires long hours, my heart was breaking thinking about my sweet Lilith home alone, no activity or interactions. When I first started the search for puppy daycare we went to a location down town, she was not qualified for their program, they explained she did not like to go into a crate and her size was a little intimidating. She is a large breed dog, that carries a bad reputation (Rottweiler). I was afraid she would not qualify for any puppy day care program, then we found OPK. Ryan, Mandy, and Jonah have been great, answering all of my questions, putting me at ease, and letting me know that Lilith will be well taken care of. Lilith has only been going to OPK for a short time, the first time she was hesitant when I dropped her off, now she gets so excited, she is always so prancing around when Ryan takes her in the mornings. I could not ask for better care for my pup, the location is beautiful, the staff is fantastic, and I know Lilith is living her best life while she is there.
Our chihuahua-beagle mix rescue dog is a bundle of nerves. We’ve lived in Eugene for a decade and only found Willamette Valley Dog and Cat Motel last year. Our dog is always happy to arrive and in good spirits when we pick her up. Bonus: It’s near the airport, making trips easier.
Willamette Valley took amazing care of our two dogs while we were away on vacation. It was the longest we have been away from our dogs. The staff was incredibly caring and sent photos while we were away. The pricing was also very reasonable. We would highly recommend Willamette Valley Dog and Cat Motel!
Great safe, trustworthy and clean place for your dog with consistently good service! We’ve been boarding our dog here for 2 to 3 years now. Our boy always comes back happy and clean. Last time we dropped our dog off, he couldn’t get in fast enough, ran straight in😆. …
Well cared for, walked and played with each day (costs a little extra - but the Nature Walk each day gave an active dog reprieve from the kennel, and much loved handling by humans). Lina and Sarah answering phone are reassuring and wonderful people to have one’s pet with. Just a great place for our dog, and we ended up leaving him longer than anticipated, which was no problem with the wonderful staff at Willamette Valley Dog and Cat Motel!! THANK YOU SO MUCH♥️
Great experience! My dog came home happy, clean and tired. We were able to set up his room and see the facility. Staff was so friendly and kind. We will definitely be back!
This place is fantastic! The staff were so helpful and patient with all our questions before the boarding, and all our changes during the boarding. Our dogs came out happy and calm after spending 6 days at the Motel. :) And they will board your cats as well!
Tug Boat is a 150+ lb. Bullmastiff who does not get excited about anything, other than his food. That is, until we boarded him at Willamette Valley Cat and Dog Motel. This is his second time being boarded, and as soon as we pulled up he immediately got excited when he realized where we were. Tug Boat now has TWO things in life that excite him: Food and being boarded at this kennel. The staff are excellent, the animals are well-loved and Tug Boat highly recommends it for your pet’s vacation destination!
First time leaving my dog here and I must say it was a pleasant experience overall. The staff is amazing and my dog was well taken care of. When I came to pick him up he didn’t seem like he wanted to leave; I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to board their pet.
Wonderful caring staff and clean facilities 👍 Military discount was a nice bonus and prices extremely reasonable. Was sent photos and updates during Lafayette's stay. They accommodated my dog's obsession with daily laser light zoomies which helped keep him happy and in good physical shape while I was over seas for a few weeks. Highly recommend!
Our experiences with Willamette Valley Motel have always gone well. I love that our dogs get to share a space and with room to move about. The facility is always clean and organized, the faculty is kind and communicative, and the prices are some of the best in town. It can be a bit stressful leaving your pets, but I have grown to have piece of mind leaving them with WVDCM when they can't come with us on our trips.
Kristin is so great! She’s been taking our golden retriever on weekly adventures for about 6 months now. Kristin is very communicative and flexible and always sends us pictures of our pup having fun on her hike. The walks span a large portion of the work day and our dog always comes back happy and tired! I’d highly recommend Tails on Trails if you’re looking for someone trustworthy and friendly to take your dog out rain or shine!
My dog is ecstatic when she sees Kristin, she comes back happy and tired! We love her. I love when she catches a great pic of my girl too :)
I was skeptical at first as I typically am with my loved animal and after our initial meeting went well I decided to give it a go and was very very pleased with their services. I've used Rover before but I'm so happy to have tried something new and different It really fit perfectly with my dog as he's very athletic and likes non-leash time. So this was a good fit for us and I highly recommend tails on trails it'll be a great experience more like a vacation for your dog to go explore at the same time as maybe you are in different places.
It's hard to say enough good things about Tails on Trails, Kristin and the other doggos that hike alongside our own. It's affordable, reliable and we trust them with our pup. As busy young professionals, we love having a day during the week where we know our dog is getting great exercise, socialization and being well taken care of so, saving us hours during that day to do what busy lives entail. Thank you Kristin and Tails on Trails! Our sole complaint is that we think our dog now likes Kristin more than us!
I can't say enough good things about Tails on Trails and Kristin! My very active pup absolutely loves going on her off leash adventures with her doggy friends. She is over the moon to see Kristin every time she picks her up and Kristin is so kind and flexible with my needs. Her overnight option is amazing as I can rest knowing that my dog is cared for and happy when she stays over with Kristin (and isn't in a kennel!) My dog and I recommend her services if you are looking for a full adventure to leave your pup happy and tired at the end of the day!
Kristin is the best dog person I have ever met. I am so grateful for her 100% care and devotion to my Lila. Kristin goes beyond the call of duty into a realm of deep kindness and loving attention to dogs in her care. I regularly have board Lila with her, plus the wonderful daily hikes in nature. I love that Kristin sends me videos of Lila that make me happy. I completely trust Kristin with my gorgeous, precious dog. I give Kristen the highest recommendation possible. Plus, she is a super wonderful funny compassionate honest human being. She's almost as good as a dog! That's my highest compliment to anyone!!
We love Kristin! Although my dog was scared and not excited about going with someone new in the beginning, now our dog jumps with joy when Kristin picks her up. Kristin took the time to get to know our dog and to do whatever she could to get our dog to feel comfortable. When our dog leaves the house with Kristin I know she will come back having had a blast somewhere outside off leash with a bunch of her dog friends. We highly recommend Kristin, she's truly amazing with the dogs and takes such good care of them.
We love sending our puppy out with Tails on Trails. He always comes back happy and exhausted and I get to feel like a good dog parent even though I don’t have the time to take him out on hikes all the time myself. Kristen clearly loves all the dogs so much and you really can’t beat the door to door service she offers. She even washes them off before she brings them back so they’re not tracking mud in the house after their adventure. So if you have a dog with more energy than you have time, definitely check out Tails on Trails!
Kristin is so wonderful! Our dog Magnolia goes to her once and week and boards with her when we go out of town. Our dog is a high energy Aussie and loves Kristin and the off leash hikes. Kristin comes to get Magnolia, they go on a group hike and Kristin drops her off afterwards tired and happy. My husband and I are so thankful to have Magnolia get such expert, kind care from Kristin. I highly recommend getting in touch with Kristin if you want a great way to exercise your dog with a human who knows a lot about what she’s doing. Kristin is also very responsive via text and phone which is helpful! We are boarding Magnolia with her this weekend and I know Magnolia is going to love it. Thank you so much Kristin for all you do!
My dog has the best time going on hikes with Kristin! He leaves excited and comes back tired and happy!! I highly recommend Tails on Trails because it's a great fun time for your dog and peace of mind for you that he will be well taken care of !
