Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Martin was a very conscientious and thoughtful house sitter who took excellent care of our pets and our home. He was reliable, self-sufficient, and a very good communicator. He clearly enjoys and cares for animals, and our house was spotless when we returned. We recommend him wholeheartedly!
Bryan and Dana were the perfect sitters for Cella. We were delighted that they were able to arrive a day early so that we could enjoy dinner with them and get to know one another. We would be honored to have them sit again. On top of their great care they left us a thoughtful friendship gift. zeewoi continues to be the best site ever. Not only do we have great pet sitters for Cella, we also have the opportunity to meet great new friends. Thank you!!
BriAnna was our first pet sitter and we loved her :). She made every step very simple for us, communication was great, Pastis and Anubis seemed to be very happy with her, and the house was very clean when we came back. We highly recommend BriAnna to take care of your pets and we would love to have her back!
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Our home was immaculate when we arrived home and the dogs and cat were super happy !! I would recommend Debra as a wonderful, responsible and reliable pet and house sitter !

Love this dog care ! Sarah worked with my dog to help him integrate and socialize with the other "furry friends" - now I don't have to worry when I need to be away and he loves it there!
Great place my puppy loves it. Tim and Sara do an awesome job.
Always clean and animals taking care of :)
MY DOGS ARE SOOO TIRED WHEN THEY COME HOME, ITS GREAT
Super friendly and nice people.
My dog loves it there
Excellent caring owners.
John and his team at Camp Bow Wow are absolutely amazing. Bruno loves to attend daycare with all his doggy friends. The care he receives is exceptional and I am worry free when he is in attendance. Knowing that I can enjoy my time away from Bruno while he’s enjoying his time, makes a world of difference. I highly recommend this doggy daycare! Thank you to John and staff!
The owner and the staff are amazing! They treat my Cooper like their own & he knows when we turn the corner he’s going to camp with his friends. I never have to worry when he’s there for the day or boarding.
The staff really care about the dogs and their well being. Our rescue was gently introduced to other dogs and looked after. I am looking forward to having my other dog go there.
We cannot find enough words to properly convey the praises we have for Camp BowWow Halifax. The management treats everyone like "family". The "camp counselors", are ALWAYS demonstrating that they are sincerely & genuinely excited to see our little guy, and are very happy to see us too. We just have to say the words..."Camp Bow Wow"....and our dog starts jumping and dancing and races to our front door, then runs to the car, to leave, and go there. If he's that happy, then we're that happy! John & Joanne Kerr ( and Kobi )
Our dogs love Camp Bow Wow, it really is place where a dog can be a dog!! The staff and facility are amazing, hours are great and prices are reasonable. We've used a few since arriving in NS, and in our opinion, it's the best Doggy Day Care in the area!!
Norman loves camp bow wow and you can tell the staff are truly dog lovers. They treat the campers like they're family and Norman is always so excited to see them.
I adopted a ‘bonded pair’ about a year and a half ago. Shortly after I got them I took them to Camp Bow Wow so that they could socialize with other dogs. One of my dogs (Bailey) got sick at daycare. I guess she was stressed from all the changes she had endured, and developed hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. The staff responded immediately and I was notified promptly. Just recently this bonded pair decided that they want to be single. Bailey became extremely attached to me. She would not let Blaze near me, tried to steal her food, and toys. The dogs won’t even tolerate being in the same house without becoming aggressive towards each other. Bailey went to live with my daughter. Camp Bow Wow is proving to be a great help re socializing her. She is learning to trust and interact with the staff, and is actively playing with the dogs there. She is a much happier dog now. I give the staff at Camp Bow Wow a lot of credit for the vast improvement in Bailey’s quality of life. When Blaze starts back in a couple of weeks I fully believe that she will benefit just as much.
I bring my 2.5 year old husky to the Dartmouth location regularly. She absolutely loves going and I feel extremely comfortable bringing her there for daycare as the owner and staff are very caring with all of the dogs. As she is a little higher in energy due to her breed she sometimes requires more attention and she definitely receives it. The dogs are very well cared for and she always comes home very happy and very tired. Definitely recommend.
My little man attends daycare Monday - Friday and some weekends (he has separation anxiety) and they love him as much as we do. He gets so excited to go, they treat him so well. I never worry about him being cared for, I know he’s 100% safe. My other two attend occasionally and they love it so so much!
I was nervous about how camp bow wow would go for our galgo Django / he’s an anxious dog and is reactive on leash so I really wasn’t sure he’d be a good fit. But John and the other staff were very reassuring and explained how gradual his introduction to the other dogs would go and of course he got along great. We were very thankful for their patience and professionalism and look forward to his next stay there in a month or so! PS it meant a lot that they still remembered our late dogs Rhoda and Rafter, who were frequent campers there - many years ago now!
Awesome place for your furry friend.......like a second home. They treat your dog like you would, we never have any worries, and our dog crazy with excitement when we get close to the kennels.
My dog's love it here and I know they are safe and secure!
Cooper had his first sleep over Glad we chose Happy Valley
Wonderful people and great place to send your dogs :)
Took excellent care of our high maintenance pooch for a weekend. Even brought him out of his shell a bit.
Both Mike and his wife are very good with the dogs
Wonderful place to keep your dogs.
Ashley took such good care of our cat Chet while we were away on holiday. The best part of her service was her post-visit reports, telling us exactly when she was there, what she did, how Chet was and the best part - she posted photos of him each time she was there. An excellent service and we will definitely be engaging South Shore Pet sitting services again!
I've been using South Shore Pet Sitting for over six months and am pleased and satisfied with Ashley's Service. Flexible, affordable, and friendly. Our Beagle loves going there, and I know Ashley takes excellent care of her. Thank you so much! I'm happy to recommend your pet-sitting service on the South Shore of Nova Scotia!
Ashely made going away easy! She took care of our cat, as well as my parents' senior cat (who was visiting with us) capably and with care. She was proactive with her preparation; asking all the right questions. She was at the house, on time, every day and the photo updates were nice to have. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ashley as a pet sitter and we'll be repeat customers, for sure!
We recently had the pleasure of using South Shore Pet Sitting to look after our two cats while we were away, and we could not be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, Ashley's professional service was exceptional and truly exceeded our expectations. Ashley is caring and attentive. She took the time to get to know our cats and understand their individual needs and personalities. It is evident that she genuinely love animals and is passionate about providing the best care possible. Dependability is key when entrusting someone with your pets. Ashley has organized South Shore Pet Sitting in a way that allows her to be consistently on time for visits, providing regular updates and pictures and ensuring that clients are fully informed. This level of communication gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our time away without any worries. Ashley followed all our instructions meticulously, ensuring that the cats' feeding was adhered to perfectly and she also provided excellent advice. Our home was also kept tidy, and we returned to find everything in excellent order. In addition to the exemplary service, Ashley is friendly and approachable. She was more than willing to accommodate our special request when we extended our stay due to flight delays. We highly recommend South Shore Pet Sitting to anyone in need of pet care services. Our cats were happy and healthy upon our return, and we will definitely be using South Shore Pet Sitting's services again in the future. For Yvanka and Maya in Lahave, Nova Scotia
Very professional services, an amazing sitter when it came to watching our 3 crazy cats. Ashley kept us up to date with journals and pictures daily of what our cats were up too. Very grateful to have her services.
Went to Europe for two weeks for a family vacation and had absolute peace of mind knowing our cats were taken care of. Detailed updates of services and a daily journal with pictures made us assured our cats were happy and safe. Highly recommend South Shore Pet Sitting and look forward to using their services in the future!
Ashley took care of our cat while we were away for ten days. She was absolutely wonderful. Our cat required daily medication and he was quite grumpy while we gone. Ashley was patient, kind and compassionate with him. She as well brought in our mail and kept an eye on the house. I would highly recommend her. She put my mind at ease and I knew our cat was in great hands. Thank you, Ashley. You are the best !
We are very grateful to have found Ashley. We have used her services multiple times and the amount of comfort we gained by having Ashley look after our two cats (one being elderly and requiring medication twice daily) while being away was priceless. Her daily visit updates were frequent and thoughtful. Thank you Ashley!
We hired South Shore Pet Sitting to take care of our cat for a little over two weeks. During the introduction visit Ashley had an immediate rapport with our cat and asked all the right questions. She is friendly, professional, reliable, pays attention to details and knows how to read animal behaviour. She remained in daily contact with photos and notes, and when she needed to adjust a few things (food amount) she took the initiative but also let us know so we could follow the changes. We would hire her again and are happy to recommend her.
Ashley took wonderful care of our two senior cats (one who requires medication) while we were away for 10 days. She also kept an eye on the house, brought in mail etc. Daily communication, prompt responses to any questions I had and daily pictures of our kitties meant I felt very comfortable. And the kitties loved her too. I would highly recommend her services.
This is the only professional groomer I trust my dog with. She is amazing at what she does and she is a pet lover. Only go to see Courtney for all your pet grooming needs!! Update March 2022: still the very best groomer around and the only person I trust with my dog. Can't ever see this changing.
Coming down from Halifax to visit someone in the hospital, they graciously took in my Great Dane while I ran back to the hospital. Came back in a couple hours and my dog was obviously happy and content there. She's normally timid in new places, but not here. She'll be going there for every hospital visit for now on.
These ladies were great with Cattie-brie. She's an 80lb mastiff that hates getting her nails done . It took mins to get her mani and pedi ❤
Great place Courtney's great with the dogs soon as I take my dog out of the car she pulls me all the way up the ramp to go in 🥰 …
Courtney is extremely gentle and very good with all animals. Great place to take your pet.
Courtney is great and my dogs love going there ;)
My puppies were well cared for and I'd take them there again, they were referred to by Park Your Paws, thanks.
You can tell all pet that go in for grooming are loved like her own fur babies
Very good at grooming dogs and they all love her
Cooper and Amarok love staying here, when we are away!
We have boarded dogs at this kennel for years. We have boarded a very old dog. That old dog was given excellent, kind, gentle care. We have also boarded a puppy who was also given exactly the care he needed. He is grown now and is always happy to go there. He goes in with tail wagging. He goes to both Barb and Lloyd for pets. He is a happy dog when I pick him up. I would recommend this kennel to anyone needing a dog to be cared for in a home. The owners are knowledgeable and caring.
We left our dog here for a 10 day trip. When she couldn't eat her food due to a tumor in her mouth, Barb hand cooked fish that she was more than willing to eat. We were even given some of the fish to take home when we picked her up since she was so willing to eat it over regular food. We are very grateful for the care and dedication by Barb to accommodate our dog and would recommend this dog kennel to anyone else looking for one.
I used Just like home dog boarding three times, but will never return. After the first time I didn’t feel totally comfortable and didn’t plan to return, but found that after the stay my dog seemed more social with other dogs, so I decided to go back. The second visit went fine and she seemed to have enjoyed it. Sadly the third visit was a terrible experience. When I picked my dog up after a long weekend, she was walking on three legs. The dog boarding owners said she likes to jump a lot and she just hurt her paw a little but it’s fine, and said she’s just been looking for sympathy and lying around all day. They didn’t give details of what had happened or when. They keep the dogs in the house and showed me where they had her sleeping, which was on a high ledge with quite a precarious jump onto a box to get down, not the type of spot I would ever have her sleep. It was a long weekend, so I’m not sure if they were full and finding extra spots for dogs to sleep or if it’s a spot they usually use. There was clearly something seriously wrong so I took her to the vet. They found she had broken her toe below the joint. The end of the toe had to be removed, leaving just a stub, and the nail will never grow back. There was also an abrasion on the side of the toe. I called Just like home to tell them that she was seriously hurt and had required surgery which cost almost $500. They were very rude, saying: What are you accusing us of, we didn’t hurt her, she hurt herself, and if you think we’re paying we aren’t. I told them that all I was saying is that I left her in their care and when I returned she was badly injured, but actually I did feel they have some responsibility. At a minimum I suggested they should be refunding the boarding fee (that I had paid in advance). They refused saying the waiver I signed says they are not responsible for injuries. They even questioned the injury saying "I don't know your vet..." At no point was there even an apology. I know accidents can happen, but I feel like the environment there was more risky than it should have been and I was very disappointed by both their response to the injury and their attitude around it. I will not be returning.
I've takem my dogs here multiple times. Never had a bad experience. They are good people and always show that they care about my dogs. This is the only place I'll leave my dogs.
Although the owners clearly care about the pets that they take care of it was unfortunately not a good experience for my partner and I. We travel often and saw the good reviews online. After picking up our Bernese mountain dog and golden retriever we noticed a deep gouge in the top of our Berneses head and a rash on his stomach (same rash was on our golden) took the Berny to the vet the very next day and the vet explained he either a) got his head stuck under a fence or b) got bitten by a much larger dog & that it couldn't have been our golden because his jaw wasn't wide enough for the bite. She explained it must have happened earlier in the days we dropped him off as black flies had gotten into his gouge and it was infected. Not really sure how no one noticed that he has the cut on his head because the smell was pungent and the kennels have 24 hour security cameras to monitor them. A $200 vet bill later & even though we explain what happened to the owners who assured us they were not with other dogs we were offered no apology. The rash on both of them was from black flies which is understandable as they were outside so it would be silly to be mad about that. However for the cut in our dogs head made the experience very disappointing.
Can't say enough great things about them. So kind and friendly. My golden retriever just lives it. We use it two or three times a year. Would not go anywhere else.
The only place we leave are two beagles at they are treated like family. Beautiful spot lots of space for all size of dogs.
I have had good experiences with this kennel, and have left my dogs there for boarding on a couple of occasions. This time when I called I was asked to give my credit card for their file, which I have never been asked for before. This policy is not on the website, and asking for the 3 digit pin on the back is unnecessary. When I was told it was a new policy implemented this year, I knew that to be untrue as I had already boarded my pets this year. I dislike companies who change their policies on regular and reliable customers, without notification on their website. If there was an online form for booking with card, this new policy would make more sense.
My partner and I stopped in here today to possibly get our pup registered for daycare. There was no issue with the fact that they weren’t taking any new clients till the new year, however the individual who assisted us came through the door looking quite angry and continued to blank stare at me until I awkwardly asked about registration, from there I was dismissed pretty rudely and that was that. I’m not usually one to leave a bad review & I have no issue with them genuinely not having the capacity to take on new pups, but was thrown off by the way we were spoken to and ushered out the door. Thank you kindly to anyone who may read this & im sure by the other reviews this business has this isn’t a usual occurrence.
Betty and the staff at Stay n Play are THE BEST ! We have been taking our dogs there for 4 years now and can't imagine life without them. It's more then just a daycare. They love dogs and take a tone of pictures each day and post them on Facebook so you get to see what your fur baby is doing all day. They tell you if there was a sick dog at day care and know my dogs habits and behaviors so if something is off it can be taken care of. They celebrate each dogs birthday. They treat us and our dogs with respect and for all of those things I'm thankful. Stay n Play is much more then a daycare . They are a second family.
Hi, I am a retired RCMP Member of 33 years. I have spent more than 25 yrs of the 33 working with German Shepherds. I was a RCMP K9 Handler and Trainer for the RCMP. We bought a female from Yan, this dog is above and beyond what I expected from a local Breeder. This line of puppies are confident, inquisitive, energetic and going to be a great family and protection dog. And great looking line of dogs. Thank you Yan, you were a pleasure to deal with, your dogs are exceptional !! Mike Landry, St Marie New Brunswick.
They took great care of my two pups while I was on vacation!
They were friendly and were able to board my pet for extra days due to a personal crisis
Great agility classes. Tamara is a great instructor. Be patient learning agility takes time. Also good safe boarding and doggie daycare
Wally & Layla LOVE 'puppy play park'! Perfect for socialization and when you're on vacation.
These folks are true dog lovers. Your dogs are in good hands here. Don’t think twice about leaving them with Betty and her caring staff
First day going for training our dog, Was very informative and we where amazed on what our dog training looks like .
During a recent trip to Digby my family decided to go whale watching and needed a place for our puppy to stay. We dropped our almost 5 month old puppy off for a day visit around 730am and picked him up close to 3pm. Brenda was very kind and made me feel at ease right away starting from our phone call prior to the actual whale watching day. Please do not hesitate to contact her if in need of doggy care.
I recently boarded my Dobie with Brenda. I was quite nervous because I have never boarded this dog before. When I met Brenda and saw her facility, I was totally blown away. There was a dog bed in a dog condo and a fenced in outdoor area. A true pet haven. Her rate was so reasonable and Brenda is a lovely person. You can tell she REALLY loves dogs and my dog took to her. I highly recommend her dog boarding manor, over and over. Thank you Brenda for taking such good care of my baby. He came home totally relaxed. 👍 10🌟
Donna is really professional and does great work. I have been going here for years and couldn't ask for a better place
Donna does a great job on our guy! He’s a Bernese/Poodle and always comes back looking absolutely fab
It was the first time in boarding for my pup and I’m so happy I found Donna! She was very communicative and made me feel at ease when I dropped him off. When I picked up my pooch he had a beautiful manicure and was in great spirits. I could tell he missed his new friends when we got home. He can’t wait until his next sleepover at Paws Inn the Bay. If you are looking to board your dog with someone who really cares, give Donna a shout.
I recommend coming to Paws Inn the Bay if you have a nervous dog that needs to get their nails clipped! Donna was efficient and gentle as she clipped my rescue greyhound’s nails. He is typically very snappy but she kept him calm the entire time! She also returned my lost keys which is above and beyond. Thanks again Donna!
Amazing service, she is an awesome person and adores all dogs. I highly recommend her to anyone
Very clean and caring place for your animal! Donna is very caring with each interaction and creates a great environment!
Donna does a great grooming job on our dog.
Fantastic dog grooming and setting service. Donna the best 👌 …
Very professional and has a genuine love for animals. Highly recommended
Great grooming and boarding with friendly owner!
Nicole has been pet sitting my two cats for close to 10 years. Both live in, and drop in engagements. I recommend Nicole often to friends, family and coworkers, and have nothing but absolute trust in her ability to not only care for my pets, but keep an eye on my house while I'm out of town, and let me know if anything comes up. Prices are very fair. Also love that she will often text photos the kitties. Basically, she's great!
Nicole has been taking care of my two cats for over 5 years now, including both drop-ins and extended live ins. I used a number of pet sitters before meeting Nicole & I honestly don't know what I would do without her because she is by far the best. She cares for my cats (& my home) as if they were her own. It is always a relief knowing she is taking care of my girls and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I am so grateful I found Nicole over 5 years ago when we moved to Halifax. She’s been our pet sitter ever since. She takes great care of my cat, shes a timid kitty but she LOVES Nicole. I 110% recommend Paws at Home.
Nicole has been looking after my two kitties for the past two years. She is wonderful and very dependable. One of my cats has epilepsy and requires medication twice a day. When I go away I know that the cats are very well cared for and that Winston is getting his meds. She is so good to the cats. When I get home from vacation, everything is as it is if I were home; the cats are happy, the kitty food bowls and the litter box are clean. Nicole always sends me kitty pictures when I am away. I am very comfortable going on vacation knowing that Nicole is looking after the the cats at home. I highly recommend Paws@Home - Great service!!!
Nicole is THE best. She's been looking after our cats when we travel for years. Recently when we had an unexpected flight delay and our cats were home alone she responded almost immediately to our email and agreed to go in and take care of them. They are always healthy and happy when we return from our trips and we know they are well cared for. Our travels would be less enjoyable if we didn't have her back home taking care of things.
We've just started using Nicole as our dog sitter, and we were thrilled! Nicole is very professional and organized which put our minds at ease before we left. Despite having a dog with anxious tendencies, we came home to a very happy, relaxed dog (and a spotless house). We will definitely be working with Nicole from now on!
Nicole is fantastic. She looked after our three furbabies for 5 days while we were out of province. She is professional and makes it easy to go away knowing that our little beings were well cared for. Nicole even sent us pics so we could see how our kitties were doing. Top notch. Thank-you, Nicole! Yours is the first number we will call when planning an out-of-town trip.
Nicole is wonderful and my cat Theo just loves her! She always sends a pic when I’m away and she stops in to check on him, feed him and give him some attention :) I know Theo is in good hands when Nicole is watching over him and I can go on vacation without any worry. I would recommend her to any pet parents in Halifax looking for a reliable, trustworthy person to take care of their fur babies!
Nicole does a wonderful job at caring for our 2 cats. She even gave our cat medication because she suffers from allergies. Nicole has always been professional and trustworthy for the 2 years we have been having her care for our kitties.
Nicole is a trustworthy, dependable pet sitter who has stayed in my home, looked after my elderly dog and I would look no where else for she is the best! She keeps me informed, sends me texts, and cares for my dog like she would her own! She has my utmost respect and sincere appreciation for what she does!!!
My 5 month old husky was very shy on arrival and after a weekend of loving attention from Marcel as well as his playful and friendly pup team welcomed Riggs with open paws and he is excited to return weekly for play dates! Very highly recommended!
Me and my dog love the Red Woof Inn! Marcel goes above and beyond to make sure each and every dog have a great experience.
10/10 highly recommend. Dogs can free roam at night in a safe environment. Are not locked in kennels. Very clean facility. Reasonable prices. Lots and lots of pictures daily of pups.
We acquired two Japanese Chin pups (litter mates/brothers) at the start of Covid-19 pandemic and they had not been socialized with other dogs, let alone people! Since we plan to travel again at some point in the future we want a safe place for them and access to doggie friends of all sizes and breeds. We were aware of Marcels global animal welfare efforts at saving/improving the lives of many animals over many years, which is why we made the Red Woof our only choice for the care of our boys. We were a little hesitant at first as our boys seemed terrified to be there and ALL the dogs are together big/small, however Marcel is extremely picky about the personalities of the dogs he welcomes into his home and aggression is not tolerated (no matter size). All the dogs that take part in daycare or sleepovers there are well socialized, with agreeable and non-aggressive personalities. Now the boys almost turn themselves inside out with excitement at the mere mention of going to see their doggie friends. We feel they’ve become more outgoing, which has made them far less timid of other animals and people. We are glad to have a safe and happy place for our boys to enjoy the company of canine friends!! 🥰🐶🙏🏼
If you need a doggy daycare you don't have to look any further. We had our puppy there for a week. We have never had patty at a daycare so we were a little nervous about leaving her for a week. They could see our apprehension but he spent nearly a hour explaining how he takes care of his dogs and their schedule for each day. He sent pictures everyday of patty that really help ease our mind knowing she was enjoying the daycare. It's very clean and organized with a separate area for small dogs. Needless to say we were incredibly happy with the owner and his business. He's only been open for a little while but I see great success with his daycare. Thank-you so much.
I was travelling to Nova Scotia from Ontario for the week in a camper trailer and pup, Jack. I had booked a day of sea kayaking but did not want to leave Jack alone for the day. I had looked up a few spots around Truro and came across the Red Woof Inn and figures I'd check it out. I reached out to Marcel about a month prior to my vacation. He stated that an assessment of the dog was necessary prior to taking him in for the day/evening, as well as vaccination papers. A few days prior to the kayaking, as I was passing through Truro, I stopped in to have Marcel assess Jack (to make sure Jack is compatible with Marcel, his two Huskies, and the remaining dogs within Marcel's care). The assessment went well, Jack seemed very at ease and happy when I picked him up. When I brought Jack back for the actual daycare appointment, Jack was very excited to be returning! Marcel is a very kind and genuine soul, and it is quite apparent that he cares for all the dogs within his care. I highly recommend taking a few hours for the assessment in order to allow your dog to spend time here! And to top it off, the price is unbeatable! Thanks again!
Amazing place and one of the best places we have taken our pet. Annie loves going and Marcel is always going above and beyond. He not only is always trying to improve the kennel for the dogs but is also trying to use his business to support local charites and giving back often.
We just picked up our pup Floyd after a week at the Red Woof Inn and he loved it! We will be using this daycare if we ever need to again. Would recommend to anyone!
Marcel is the best. He loves the dogs and provides a fun, loving atmosphere for our puppies.
Marcel is a great guy and I know he takes care of all the animals with the best of his abilities!
