Fantastic place to board your dog! We have had Belgian Malinois’ for years. They’re high energy, highly intelligent dogs that don’t typically do well at boarding facilities. Cupps Kennels is one of only two boarding kennels that I’ve found that our Mal did well at while boarding. They take fantastic care of the dogs in their kennels, and are very well educated on various breeds’ needs. Highly recommend them!

my parents had a bit of nightmare situation when picking up our dogs from cupps’ this last monday. one of our three doggies had a horribly infected deep cut on her foot. when we asked why they hadn’t taken her to the vet, or at the very least informed us of her injury, they claimed that they feared a weekend vet visit would be too costly. our sweet senior doggy JD ended up needing several stitches and treatment for an infection that the vets told us was caused by her untreated wound and could possibly result in her losing part of her leg. thankfully our senior pup is a strong lady that will hopefully make a full recovery without surgery, but we felt it was necessary to share how disappointed and dismayed with our experience at cupps’. unfortunately we will not be returning and our advice to anyone who decides to use their service would be to ensure they will contact you immediately if your pet gets injured or sick. attaching one pic of her paw after our vet visit and the other two from over christmas to show what a cute sweetie she is, who deserved better more adequate care.

It's either a trip to Cupp's or Grandma's house. I wouldn't trust my babies with anyone else. :) Clean kennels, outdoor play area, wonderful people. I would stay there myself! Here's our two excited to go to "doggy daycare."

My dog Chloe was very happy at Cupp's. The facilities are clean and the Cupp family really cares about the pets in their care. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I was very impressed with the stalls all of the dogs were staying in as they were extremely clean and has everything necessary! I may have done something wrong, however I did not see any human when I went to pick my dog up, nor did I get a report or feedback regarding his behavior/if he was able to go out with other dogs. This concerned me as I was a first timer and I would have appreciated more feedback regarding my dogs stay.

So happy to have found this place! My two pointers LOVE it there! Spacious, clean, and the pups were so happy when I picked them up! Also was able to call for an update to see how they were doing, which I appreciate being able to do! Will use again-

We have been taking our bear to wags and purrs since he was a puppy… 4 years now and he is always happy when he has a fresh haircut! The owner treats him well, gets us in everytime and her work is amazing! Highly recommended groomers!

I took my Golden Doodle in for a much needed haircut. I was very impressed with their job on her. She looked totally different but happy. We will take her back when she is ready for her next trim. Thank you very much.

Sometimes you I'll get a recording when you call. I just drove over with my pups for a last minute nail trim when I had time off and was able to walk in on a Tuesday. They will also schedule nail trims on Saturday. Very nice folks.

This was the first time we boarded a pet. Affordable, clean, and friendly. Definitely can recommend them.

My experience is always excellent. Always try to work you in if possible. My dog Sasha is never afraid to go, they are so gentle with her. She is a tea cup Yorkie with a bad hip. I live in Alpena and drive to Petoskey to have her groomed and they are worth the drive to take her there.

We can't thank them enough for always taking great care of our dog's (and of course, us). We get our dog's hair and nails trimmed and they come out looking great everytime. Always on time, always great service and would highly recommend.

I looked at a lot of reviews, but wags and purrs had the best reviews. My pooches looked and I'm sure felt better. I told her about the special needs of my elder pups. She took great care and my pups are very happy now. Thank you so much. I definitely will be back.

I had gone to the Mancelona area on vacation, and brought my dog Polly with me. It had only taken a few to realize how much of the stuff I wanted to do, just couldn't be done with her in tow. So, I took a day, and put her in the daycare. This place was amazing. I was shocked at how clean everything was, and how hard the owner worked at keeping everything perfect. I picked up Polly in the evening and she seemed to be both happy and worn out, as I'm certain she was doing much running and being a dog. I'd give this place a perfect rating on the Rikki Recommends scale... So if you're looking to have a bit of vacation to yourself, or you just need a break from Fido... Check this place out.

We have to go out of town around the holidays, so we wanted to start our pup off with a few doggy daycare visits to get him used to the facility. Communication was wonderful, prices were accommodating and the facility was clean and welcoming. They posted photos of our guy having fun and made sure we had all the information we needed for a safe stay.

Julie & Megan were absolutely amazing. We took a trip out west for 2 weeks and boarded our 2 dogs for the first time ever. Naturally, we were anxious to leave them for so long, but Julie was incredibly communicative and accommodating. Our boys were safe and happy and well taken care of, I could not have asked for a better home away from home for our fur children. HIGHLY recommend Meadow Pond....they are fantastic!

We love Meadowpond. Our dog Duke can be a pretty big baby when it comes to being boarded, but they take great care of him, and his kennel is always very clean and tidy. The security is awesome too! We appreciate the peace of mine knowing he’s in a great place!

Very clean with kind, helpful staff. I took my Newfoundland for a Day Care stay. I think I was more stressed than she was! I will definitely be using them again for any dog care needs I may have in the future. The 24/7 check in and out is wonderful, too!

My dog stayed all day. She was supposed to be overnight but we got back at 11pm so picked her up. I never saw the owner or assistants. It was clean and pretty, like nice little hotel rooms. Not sure what care they get on longer stays but my dog seemed fine.. had water and food. I would use for short a night or two for sure

Have been here multiple times from needing dog grooming to a hotel stay for the pooch! The staff is very kind to everyone and the love they have for pets show! Someone is usually around at all hours and always a phone call away!! They have allowed me to take my other dogs to the playground on site while finishing the grooming on the other pup. I highly recommend them, prices are set with the area and times in mind and I find them more than fair. Will continue to use their services!!! Great Job Meadow Pond Resort Staff!

Took our dog here for an overnight. The system they have set up for drop off and pick up is awesome. The place is clean. Only thing I was concerned about was that they left the doggie door open all the time, so the dogs may get cold throughout the day in the winter. Next time, I’ll put a coat on him and maybe bring a crate and wrap it with a blanket for that purpose. My dog was really hoarse/no voice when I picked him up which made me feel like he never stopped barking. To be fair, my dog barks a lot, especially when in an unfamiliar place. So that was probably not due to any shortcomings of this place but I wondered how many times he was able to interact with humans while he was there. It seems very professional, very very clean. Fair prices. They were available on a holiday (Easter) weekend, last minute. Will definitely come again. I do hope that I get to meet the owners/staff next time, as I wasn’t able to this time, but I was able to chat with one on the phone who seemed awesome.

Pawskey's has been wonderful! Both MD and PB have a gift for animals. Their love for our pups has really made a difference in our lives. We have a 9 year old cairn terrier/poodle which we have had for years and a 4 month pointer mix puppy that we recently adopted from the humane society. Our cairn terrier/poodle loves his parents. Although he is small, he isn't afraid of anything he sees as a threat to his family. Because of this, he barks at just about anything that passes by our house! With Pawskey's training his barking and anxiety has reduced incredibly. Also, our little one has also gone through basic training and they watched both our pups while we were moving. Lots of thanks to these guys!

Pawskey's pet serves is great! They took excellent care of my dog Perri an Aussie mix, while I was out of town. MD was very attentive in listening to my personal instructions about her care thus allowing me a worry free weekend away. Coming home to a happy, well cared for dog is priceless. I highly recommend MD and PB. They have a gentle energy that both dogs and people find comforting.

Pawskeys helped us raise our very active Bernese puppy. I'm not sure what we would have done without their service. MD & PB are not only reliable, but beautiful people. We have remained friends & I would highly recommend their sevice.

Beau has stayed at Bokhara many times and they are wonderful with him. He’s always well cared for and happy. He started going at 7 months and they were so sweet and good with him. I highly recommend and I won’t use anywhere else!

We had our dog recently banned from Bokhara for, what I feel, is the fault of their new groomer. We’ve had our dog groomed there by Ellen for six years and never had an issue. Ellen retired and the groomer they have now has been out of the business for a while or something, but whatever she did made my dog anxious and he attacked. NEVER had that issue with Ellen. So, they said he’s welcome to board there? Sorry, too many finer establishments in the area. Stay away. (I can’t post without a 1-star rating, but I wouldn’t even give them that.)

Our pup had an amazing stay at Bokhara! We loved that she was greeted the moment we walked in, they were waiting for her! Erika made us feel so warm and welcome. After checking Ellie for temperament, we were shown Ellie's "room" and were able to set her up and get her comfortable. We were able to see much of the facility, and all our questions were answered. Ellie got walks every day and we were even invited to take her to the lake when we picked her up. Ellie showed us right where to go. She was so comfortable there and looked really happy and content when we picked her up. I called once to check on her and all my questions were answered and I was told Ellie was eating well and visiting. I'm so pleased with Bokhara and look forward when we can visit again!

Excellent kennel. Just pulling in the driveway you will realize that your dog will have their own resort while up north. The pine trees along the drive way will have dog name crossings, and once you pull up you will find a friendly staff ready to give your dog attention that you will feel comfortable with. There are a list of options to pamper your dog including access to Elk Lake for a swim, or even check out your pet by boat while on Elk, or the other Chain of Lakes. Our dog is a medium to small dog and had made friends with the other dogs while there. Be sure to have your pets vet records ready. Will have our dog stay there again the next time we are in the area! Rates cheaper than hotel dog rates.

Took my cats there for a week got them back covered in feces, and we're obviously traumatized, I would never take my pet to this place again

Fantastic cat boarding service. Boarded my kitty here for several weeks and it was a great experience. All staff including the owner are extremely kind people.

We've been boarding our Rhodesian Ridgeback here for about 4 years and have had nothing but good experiences. Staff are really friendly and I like the grooming options as well as the additional play time/walk options.

Our gsd puppy went for her first grooming with her sister. The staff was super accommodating in letting them stay togather. They came back looking and smelling great.

Nice drive. Nicest lady ever!!! My dog is just beautiful!! I Found my new groomer.
