Jeannette was the absolute best pet sitter anyone could ask for! She was communicative and easy going. She took very good care of the house, but most importantly she took superb care of my dog, Bodhi. She took him on long walks and fun adventures everyday. While I was out of the country, I received pictures and updates of their "vacation". I loved seeing Bodhi's and Jeannette's smiles in all the photos. They definitely bonded. :) I would highly recommend Jeannette as a pet sitter and also as an excellent person who cares about people, animals, and the planet.
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
What a lovely couple Tara and Tyler are. They had been in Scottsdale about six weeks before the house sit. and can to meet us. Rusé, our Toy Fox Terrier, fell in love with them immediately, and was in Tara’s arms within two minutes. We always like our sitters to arrive the day before we leave, take them out to dinner and get to know them. It was quite apparent from the videos and photos we received, that Rusé did not miss us. Tara and Tyler’s three grown up children joined them before Xmas-to Rusé’s delight as these were additional hands to throw his rubber bones and balls. The house was all clean and tidy, when we returned.. There is a strong possibility that Tara and Tyler will move to Arizona from Montana, with two of their children, recently moved to the area. They have already offered to look after Rusé in the future. We know he would love it. We cannot recommend Tyler and Tara higher enough, they were perfect House and Pet sitters
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
Ce was an amazing house sitter for our best bud Atlas. She not only took amazing care of our needy pup, she took great care of the home as well. I honestly think she left it cleaner than I left it for her! We certainly hope she is around the next time our best friend needs a friend. If you're looking for a responsible caregiver for your pets and home - look no further!
I could not have asked for a better first time sitter experience! Terry & Vinnie were absolutely wonderful people. They took stellar care of my beloved pets and my home. Their communication with me was enough that I felt perfectly at ease during my time away and in turn, they were super responsive if I contacted them. My pets were relaxed and happy when I returned!
I have had 4 pet sitters this year so far. And Liz was the best! She was wonderful with cats. She has an easy going manner and is very comfortable to be around. Very smart and she is a great communicator. She followed all directions and left the house spotless. I highly, highly, highly recommend her! I would have her again anytime!
Anna was the perfect sitter for Tali, Mac and Sox. From the first moment we met Anna we all got on extremely well and we had no worries about leaving our pets in her safe hands. Anna gave them loads of fun time and company, lovely walks and snuggles in front of the TV. Thanks for all the fun we had before and after the sit too. We would not hesitate to recommend Anna for any sit.
Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Our dog in particular seemed to miss them and their long walks around the neighborhood. Thank you Jerry and Suzanne! We wish you well in your travels!
Amazing experience! Five stars all the way... Nikki was kind enough to watch our two cats Thomas and Toby while were away on our honeymoon. From the very beginning she made us feel comfortable with clear communication and quick replies. Since she was local in Atlanta we got to meet her ahead of time and hand off keys before we left. While we were away she sent pictures of our little buds having fun and being themselves, so we always knew they were ok. She always showed up exactly when she said she would from pickup to dropoff and it was so incredible to know they were in good hands, and we never had to worry. They love being around people so for her to have been able to stay with them and love on them regularly we came home and could immediately tell both Thomas and Toby felt great as they were completely comfortable. Much much different than when we leave even for a few days and have a pet sitter stop by and feed them. She asked all the necessary questions in advance, so she didn't have to email or ask anything while we were away. She even took the time to make sure everything was neat and tidy, prepped the sheets to be changed, and was unbelievably sweet to get us a wedding gift we both love. Nikki we can't thank you enough for taking care of our cats, and we would only be so lucky if you stuck around town! :)

Maine Coast Pet Care is wonderful! Kristie and Jackie are the only ones we’ve chosen to stay at our house with our best gal Murtaugh and though she is a bit shy Kristie & Jackie have been very patient and loving! It always feels like she’s in good hands and they send tons of photos and quick updates about how she’s doing while we’re away. I always hate leaving her so to have Kristie & Jackie here literally allows us to go on vacation because I could never find anyone else that Murtaugh was comfortable with. They are lifesavers and really lovely too!
We have used Jackie and Kristie on several occasions for dog walking and they are wonderful. They are great with communication and are very reliable. They text and send pictures and it always looks like everyone is having fun! Recently they helped us out so my daughter and son in law could include their 2 dogs in their wedding. Jackie and Kristie picked them up early from the boarding kennel, exercised them so they would be on their best behavior and brought them to both a picture session at Nubble Light and the ceremony and back to the kennel. They were on standby the whole time so we could relax and enjoy the wedding. I highly recommend Maine Coast Pet Care.
Jackie and Kristi took outstanding care of our pet. They are both friendly, yet professional to deal with. Daily notes and pictures kept us up to date with our dog. Highly recommend their services.
Jackie and Kristi of Time to Pet have taken care of our two kittens twice now and we have been so impressed with their cat sitting service. We have booked them for two more upcoming trips. They send updates with pictures everyday which we totally love to receive. When we get home from our trips our babies look so happy; we can tell that Time to pet took care of our kitties. They have been so easy to communicate with and their invoicing is detailed and easy to understand. I highly recommend their pet sitting services
Jackie and Kristie took excellent care of our kitty while we were on vacation. We loved the photo updates, and appreciated the complimentary meet & greet beforehand. Would highly recommend to those in the Kennebunk area!
Maine Coast Pet Care will love your pets like they are their own. They took great care of our kitten while we were away for a few days, and probably gave her more love and attention than she normally gets! I have multiple friends that have used their services in the past, and they gave raving reviews of their attentiveness, professionalism, and love of animals. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for over night care or daily check ins for their animals.
Even after 2 years with us, our rescue dog remains fearful of new people and places. Despite that, he warmed up to Kristie and Jackie relatively quickly (well, quickly for him). Although he remains cautious around them, their positive energy and patience have made a difference. He joins them on walks and just completed his first overnight with them. It was great to know that he was in good hands and that we didn't have to worry about him while we were gone (we also received updates, which was appreciated). Their easy scheduling and payment system is a plus as well. Highly recommend you contact them if you're looking for pet services!
Maine Coast Pet Care is all we needed! Bella is such in good hands when we are off for a day or for a longer period of time. We find Bella very happy, and our house as we have left it! Their booking system is very friendly and easy to use. We met the owners before the first service. They came to our house to meet our dog in person and to learn more about her needs. We can notice they love pets and are committed to take a good care of them! Super recommend
I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! They took care of my cat for a weekend we were away. Not only was he fed and given water, they also cleaned his litter box, played with him and cleaned his food bowl after use. The app they use is very user friendly and made booking and staying up-to-date easy. They even provided updates (with pictures) after each visit which eased my worried-pet-parent mind. Highly recommended!
Jackie and Kristie are not only wonderful humans, they are wonderful with dogs. I had a wonderful experience using them for walking and training my new rescue dog. Patient and caring, highly recommend! They go the extra mile!
I would highly recommend The Red Barn Inn! My pup attends daycare weekly and is always so tired from all the playing at the end of the day. The staff is so kind and truly cares for each dog - they even share photos of the pups playing on their social media so you get a glimpse into the fun.
We have been happy customers of the Red Barn Inn for close to 15 years, both for boarding and for daycare. Our dogs are cared for in a safe, loving environment, and they always have lots of fun! The staff are warm and friendly, and they are always very responsible when one of our dogs needs special attention (medication or a specific diet) due to a medical issue. We wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else!
I was introduced to Red Barn Inn in 2018. My grandpup Finn was going there and he absolutely loved it. When I got a new pup in 2020, I knew just the place for her to go. The owners and staff love on her as if she were their own. She loves it there and I love knowing she’s safe, cared for, loved, and having a blast playing with all her friends. Price is reasonable & affordable. Place is clean, organized, and everyone is pleasant. I recommend RBI to everyone.
Ace loves it here. He gets all the attention I can't give him when I am away for work or play, it's great for his socialization with other dogs, and he clearly loves it. Whenever I go to pick him up, you can tell he's having such a great time, because he never wants to leave. I don't know what I would do without the wonderful staff at the Red Barn Inn.
Audra and her team at Red Barn Inn are awesome! We were visiting the area for the week and needed a spot for our lab puppy to get some socialization and exercise. Audra fit us in for doggy daycare without issue and Maui LOVED his time hanging with the gang! He came home wiped out and happy every day. We were even able to get him groomed on his last day and they did an excellent job. Highly recommend- and a big thank you the everyone at Red Barn for taking such great care of Maui!
We absolutely love The Red Barn Inn! Our two Vizslas had a great time at daycare, Audra and her staff go above and beyond, we love seeing the pictures on Facebook of all the happy puppies!
We have been bringing our dog Ginger to the Red Barn Inn for seven years, since she was a puppy. She goes part time for daycare and boards when we need to go away without her. She is always excited to get there, which is a good indication to us that she is loved and given good care while there. It gives us peace of mind knowing she is safe while away from us. Current ownership & staff have made things even better than in the past … we highly recommend this kennel.
Indy has been at Red Barn his entire life, over six years. He loves it. Since Audra purchased the property last year, she has made many changes that enhance not only safety issues, but the dogs enjoyment. She is on site all the time monitoring all aspects of the day care. She and the crew make sure everyone is happy and safe. This allows me to go to work knowing he is well cared for. Red Barn Inn is a fantastic addition to the community.
The Red Barn Inn is under new ownership and it is fantastic! Our dog loves going here for daycare and boarding. He doesn't look back when we drop him off and doesn't want to leave when we come to get him. He has had a few overnights there and always comes home tired and happy. The staff love him and always have a wonderful greeting and a treat waiting for him. We love the ease of the online booking and seeing his cute face on facebook every day. We trust them to take care of him.
I have been Red Barn Inn for 2-3 days a week for over 2 yers. The staff is friendly and dedicated to taking great care of my dog , Remy. When I arrive in the morning to drop him off, he is excited and eagerly enters the facility. I feel fortunate to have them in our community.
In reading some of the reviews posted by a disgruntled employee(s?), I feel compelled to post my experiences with Kara's Pet Care over the past 5 years. Kara and her team pay very close attention to detail and the care they provide has been without a doubt simply exceptional. I have used them for overnight services, personal dog training (1 on 1) with Kara as well as for dog walking/hiking. There have been times, with last minute notice (family emergency or stuck out of town) that they have provided care for our dog and always seem happy to help. The messages and photos that get sent through the Handlr app demonstrate their love of animals and you know that your pet is in wonderful hands. If there are issues accessing the house or finding supplies they do not hesitate to reach out, which I truly appreciate. There is another level of trust that you need to have when you give access to your pets, (who we consider family members) as well as to your home, to someone outside of your family. Just one example of the top notch care we have received over the years happened very recently. One particular day, one of the dog walkers learned of Bella's (our black lab) love of playing frisbee and went out and bought one for her while on their walk/hike. I could not have imagined such a business taking the time and great care to do something like that! When we hired Kara for training, we gained a lot of knowledge and help with some behaviors that our dog was exhibiting. She has a wonderful, happy and calm way about her that makes you and your pet feel at ease. We had questions about how to respond to certain dog behaviors and we found her solutions really helpful. I also, feel compelled to speak about her integrity and goodness. One shining example is that on her own accord and expense, she recently helped rescue a large group of abused dogs in a shelter in the south and brought them all back to be adopted. She personally took care of and found homes for them. This is truly a good person. You may pay a little bit more for the services at Kara's Pet Care but it is a great value. You simply cannot compare the integrity, reliability, responsiveness and professionalism of Kara's and her team! It is the best we have ever encountered. I would without hesitation use them for any of their services. Please feel free to reach out to me with any further questions. Thank you Kara and team for being standouts in your field!
I LOVE Kara and her team! Kara only hires staff members who are super nice, very smart and who adore animals - like herself! After five minutes with Kara, you’ll know that she and her team of experts are the best people to take care of your furry (or feathered) family members! And if your pet needs more than love and attention, make an appointment with their new trainer, Andre. He is incredible!
I cannot say enough positive things about Kara’s Pet Care!! Kara is a remarkable person with both a caring, intuitive nature and a wealth of medical knowledge. We have used her company for years and loved them but it wasn’t until tonight that I realized just how amazing a human she is and how lucky our family is to have her in our lives. I want you to picture this scene: we are getting ready to launch our first child to college. We are a hot mess of emotions and anxiety getting her all packed up. Right in the middle of the chaos our puppy got into something she shouldn’t. Panicked, inconsolable, I was sure she had gotten into something seriously harmful. Who did I call? Who was the first person that popped into my mind? Kara Dello Russo. Not only did she respond to my text in a calm, reassuring manner, she called me thirty seconds later. She spoke with me about what to do(in this case thankfully nothing)and researched further my concerns. This kind of treatment, like family, is priceless. If you are looking for the most loving, knowledgeable and experienced care for your furry family member, look no further than Kara’s Pet Care. Going above and beyond is an everyday occurrence.
The customer service and genuine love of animals is spot on! The people who work here are very knowledgeable and take on challenging clients with patience and honesty. My boy won’t be going anywhere with anyone unless it’s KARA’S PET CARE.
I could not ask for better care for my 3 dogs. The pups had so much fun with the sitters that they didn’t even miss us. I completely recommend Kara’s Pet Care! 100%
Industry leaders in their field, and incredible integrity in how they approach animal care.
This place is amazing! Our dog, Cleo, has been going one day a week for years and she also boards there when we are away. They take great care of her and the people are so kind and caring with her. Their rates are very fair and we feel so lucky to have such a great place available locally.
We can’t say enough about F&F. Our dog starts getting excited from the minute we turn onto Swampjohn Rd. They are attentive, professional and loving to all the dogs. We use the day use and boarding and have piece of mind when we are away that they provide the most consistent and reliable care. Our dog “Al” has been going there for 8 years and loves it. We couldn’t ask for a better daycare.
Our 1.5 year old pug Monty has gone to day care here for the last year and we love them! They are always so friendly and happy to see each and every dog coming. Love that they post pictures on their Instagram every day so you can see what the dogs are up to. Monty gets so excited when we’re down the street and runs inside to play every time, which is always a good sign! 😄
For over two years I have regularly been taking my best friend to Doggie "Play Care" at Fetch n Fun. John and his family of passionate providers are very conscientious and insure that each dog gets the attention and intelligent placement for daily exercise and general well being. Thumbs way up for the staff and dog lovers who make life easier for busy professionals looking for a trusted partner in care!! 🐕❤️👍
We took our dog here to play, socialize, and hangout with a good group of people and other dogs. Since he's started here he has gotten so much better about interacting with other dogs, he's become more obedient at home with my wife and I, and he's always pooped when he comes home so we know he's having fun. The staff take great care of the dogs, every time we drop our dog off he runs to the staff member that opens the door to let him in and they're always so excited to see him. They post tons of pictures everyday on Instagram so you can see what your dog is doing while they're hanging out with their pack. I highly recommend Fetch 'N Fun.
Nick loves it here. He can't wait to have fun with his friends at Doggie Daycare
This is a smaller, more private dog daycare. They get to know the dogs well and post on Instagram daily. Friendly staff.
10 out of 10 dogs prefer Fetch 'N Fun over the competition. John and family are the best!
We were turned down because our 5 month old female is too young to be spayed. Guess she doesn’t qualify for socialization
Great people
I have had pets for 30 years in NC, DC and now Maine. Best boarding facility in my experience. My babies will never stay anywhere else.
Lied to my face and unprofessional In preparation for an upcoming trip we were looking for a new place and tried a half day of day care last week. I was excited about a new place with good reviews and Lindsey was initially quick in communication response and accommodating. Drop off and the first part of pick up were uneventful as they checked me out and said the dog had had a good time and made friends with a good 'report card'. However, on the way to the car I noticed blood on the inside and outside of his ear. With an 8 yo dog we have had out fair share of cuts and scrapes but I did go inside again to ask if anything was witnessed as the ears are very sensitive. The attendant feigned complete ignorance at first and said she had no idea what could have happened. As I talked it over and explained that it must have been from another dog to be both inside and outside the ear (compared to a scratch) she suddenly said that she DID remember that another dog had been too aggressive and had to be sent home. I was upset that this was not noteworthy in the report and had been so difficult to remember and asked to speak to the manager. When Lindsey did come out, my first time meeting her, she was very dismissive of 'rough play' and scratched the scab off of my dog's ear in examining it. I responded that this was clearly not play if the other dog was sent home. She continued to minimize my concern of the incident and their communication. I asked for at least the tip on the total bill I had left to be refunded which is still not the case 4 days later. This was the worst experience I have had with somewhat I trusted with my dog. I am incredibly disappointed in their overall approach to communication and care of animals.
Snazzy Pet Bed and Biscuit is awesome for your Dog!if you have to go away , and need a place to watch your dog! This Bed and Biscuit place is a must go! Our Cool Coral Bay Golden loved it! They send you pictures and updates to make you feel comfortable! They truly take good care of your Pet
We had a terrible experience boarding our dogs here!!! I have reason to believe the staff seriously neglected our dogs. STRONGLY recommend fellow pet owners to beware!!!!!!! When my husband Corey picked the boys up from boarding for five days, he noticed that Baxter was frantically trying to gnaw and scoot on his backside in the car. Corey inspected the area when he got home. Baxter's backside was covered with a baseball-sized open sore, crusted over with dried blood and puss. Bax was scooting and biting at his rear multiple times when he went out to go to the bathroom as well as incessantly trying to scratch at it inside the house. Corey took him straight to the emergency vet. It took 7 hours to sedate Baxter, clean the wound, and give him antibiotics. The final bill was almost $600. Baxter has never had issues with dermatitis or developed anything like this in the past and he was absolutely miserable, it was clear as day. Not one person on the Snazzy Pet staff noticed or reported this behavior. There is NO WAY someone actually watching him could have missed a dog suffering like this. NO WAY. This was straight up neglect. Given this terrible experience and the cost of the vet visit, I sent Snazzy Pet photos taken within an hour of Baxter's pickup, explained the situation, and requested a refund. They said a flat no and refused to admit they did anything wrong. They said their policy is basically if you don't notice anything wrong with your pet at pickup, as soon as you leave the building they are no longer liable for anything that happened. (INSPECT YOUR PETS when you pick them up!!!!! Once you walk out the door with them you have NO recourse if you find something went wrong!!!) I wrote back to the owners and told them this felt incredibly unfair - at very least they owed us an apology and some kind of gesture - even a partial refund would have sufficed. I told them if they didn't offer any kind of refund I would feel obligated to leave them a scathing review. They wrote back and accused me of threatening them. They also said that if I sent them the vet bill they would "review it with their lawyer and see if there was anything they could do." I wrote back and said our pet insurance would cover most of the vet bill (it didn't feel honest taking money for this reason) and that wasn't the point. They point is they can't treat people and animals this way. I also told them involving lawyers felt like a ridiculous escalation of the situation, and that the money they will lose paying a lawyer to review this case or the money they would lose from a horrible review would far outpace anything they would spend just giving us even a partial refund. I calmly offered to work together to try to find a solution to this that would feel fair to both of us. They never responded. Even if Baxter's injury hadn't occurred, we STILL wouldn't bring the boys back to Snazzy Pet for another reason. I noticed something strange the first day the staff sent the daily updates - the summary said our dogs were "having fun sniffing the dogs who were playing on the other side of the fence." None of the photos they sent of our dogs included any other dogs. When I asked the staff about it, they said they separated the boarding dogs from the daycare dogs and don't let them play together for health reasons. I told them this seemed really said - our boys are highly social dogs and the whole reason we wanted to board them there at a premium rate was so they could get social time. I asked if our boys could please play with other dogs. The staff said they would see what they could do. Based on subsequent updates and photos, I'm pretty sure our dogs only got to play briefly with ONE other dog the ENTIRE week. Long story short, we paid Snazzy Pet $100 a night for our dogs to be neglected, lonely, and in pain for a week. Just absolutely horrible. I am so frustrated and sad about this. Fellow owners BEWARE about boarding here. We will never, ever go back.
I was so worried about leaving my dog for his first stay at a kennel but he was in great hands, made lots of furry friends and had tons of treats and love. I highly recommend Snazzy Pet!
I had called regarding boarding my cat, when talking to the person I had stated all the normal information you would need. We went over the dates/times, about my cat, the boarding options, what they provide, what I need to provide, etc. The stay was going to be $28/night totalling $280 for her stay there and she would be staying with 2 other cats. The lady told me that I would need to do the reservation online and make an account to finalize everything. After the call I immediately went and made the account and made the request. This included putting my card information on their site and allowing them to take a 30% deposit out of my account. Within a half hour I get an email that my reservation was declined due to no room. Weird, I just got off the phone and they told me it was a go and to just finalize online. The message stated to call/text/email to check other dates and times. The next morning (8am) I call and text, and figured I'd hear from them sometime during the day. To my surprise this is 4 days later with no responses from anyone. I find this funny because you really drove home on the phone that you communicate with your clients and send daily updates, photos, etc. while you have their furry family member in your care. Yet, you're unable to communicate with a potential client, this makes me think that your communication with me during my cats stay would have been a lie. While I understand that you have the right to deny service, it would have been nice to return my call/text so I knew if it was a date, time, or just didn't want my business issue. All of the above I would have understood. I am unable to recommend your facility due to the lack of communication and poor customer service. 4/11/23 Update- Never heard back.
I highly recommend Snazzy Pet! We don't usually like to leave our 12 year old Lab with anyone but friends and family but due to the awful Virus we had to find a quality kennel. We needed a place that would take good care of our old girl and Monique did just that! As you drive up you can tell they care about their appearance because everything is so well kept. They love the dogs and are there to provide a loving and welcoming environment for your pet while they are there. We are hoping to get back up to Maine in the next few months and we will definitely be sending our sweet girl to Snazzy.
New owners at Snazzy Pet, but they seem to have the same caring attitude towards our furry friends. Pickup and drop-off went smoothly and they were very accommodating when our flight was delayed and we need to change our pickup time. When I pulled up the guests were quiet, only launching into a series of barking greetings when they went back to get our pup. We will have our pup stay with them again in the future.
We used Snazzy Pet to board our three pups while on our honeymoon. They were excellent! We got nightly “Pawgress Reports” that included how they were doing and pictures! They got to play outside everyday and were loved and snuggled by the staff as we would at home. Every staff member was so kind and seemed to truly care for our babies as we do. Would recommend to all!
We just got a puppy after having a very reactive rescue. Getting a puppy into daycare was a priority for us in order to work on socialization and also give him an outlet for all his puppy energy. We looked at several facilities but our top pick was snazzy. They had a waitlist for the daycare program so we got on the waitlist and waited it out. It was extremely worth it. The first day our pup was very nervous and his pawgress report photos really showed a timid pup but by his second visit he was excited to go inside and all his photos showed a happy pup. He comes home exhausted and knows where we are as soon as we pull in every morning. We’ve boarded him once and they made it a point to let us know that he didn’t have any accidents in his kennel. They’ve also made comments about his resource guarding and work to alleviate that. Making these observations make it abundantly clear that the staff has an understanding of dog behaviors and training necessities. If you’re looking to do daycare for your pup, I highly recommend taking them to snazzy.
