We were so relieved to find a service to care for our Jax while away on our travels. We were not sure about having an in home visiting service since we’ve never hired one before. This team of professionals provided the most loving care and tended to his particular needs with a full report each visit. Peace of mind is the number 1 concern which is what this team provided. Will definitely use this service again.

This was such a great service for us while we went on our family vacation. We choose 30 min visits 3 times a day. I could not have asked for sweeter caretakers for our 2 dogs. Great communication with every visit and such patience. I would 100% recommend them and will definitely be using them again for our future pet sitting needs!

You will not find better pet care than Lend A Paw! I lost access to a great doggie daycare/boarder when I moved to Baton Rouge, and I gave Lend A Paw a try after a Google search for dog walking. The home-based care is awesome and I’ve used them for twice-weekly walks and vacation care for my 3 dogs for two years now. They are responsive and reliable and go above and beyond! I’ve used pet taxis for unexpected vet visits when I was tied up at work, and they helped arrange extra care to allow for repairs when my AC went out while I was away (after alerting me to the problem and setting up fans for the dogs). They have also notified me about possible medical concerns, which allowed me to schedule vet care and caught ear infections and a hematoma early. Not to mention, I have a special needs dog who can be anxious and skittish, yet he has loved every staff member and they were patient and worked with me to try out medications and special routines to get him to a point where he is not distressed when I travel and doesn’t need any anxiety meds. I really can’t say enough- they truly love the animals they work with and provide exceptional care! We will miss them after we move to another state in a few days.

I recently used Lend A Paw to care for my cat fur babies Harley and Hazel while I was out of town, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I recently had to travel for work and unfortunately didn’t have anyone to take care of my dog/best friend. I gave Lend A Paw a chance and I’m glad that I did. The team did an amazing job of feeding, walking, cleaning and pampering my weimaraner. Using their app they gave constant detailed updates and photos of my pup. Highly recommended! Will use them again.

We've been COMPLETELY SATISFIED Lend A Paw (LAP) clients since 2019. We have a large dog and cat crew with special needs. The LAP staff never disappoints or misses a critical instruction. They are super responsive via the app. I love that they bond with my pets while we're away and are quick to share the special moments they have with my less social pets. I'm an anxious pet Mom but I never worry about my house or pets when LAP is on duty. I can completely relax and enjoy my time away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LEND A PAW!

Absolutely perfect! We were away for two weeks and this team took such great care of our two dogs, one cat, and two chickens! They got all sorts of love! With regular updates we had such a piece of mind! Will absolutely use again!

Lauren is AMAZING! After having many negative experiences with other pet sitters, I am so happy to have found Lauren to help me with my pets. I work 7-9 hours a day so I hired Lauren to let the dogs out once a day. She goes above and beyond - anytime my puppy destroys something, she sends me pictures, asks questions, and makes sure he is okay. She is so helpful in assisting my older dog get outside to use the bathroom. She is patient and so kind to the animals! She very obviously loves all animals, she spends extra time giving them all attention and play time, and she genuinely cares if one of the animals is sick or acting strange. She frequently sends adorable pictures, which makes my day so much better. Knowing I can trust her to take care of my animals when I can't be there puts my mind at ease. She is available for last minute sits, she is flexible with my schedule as it can change rapidly, and she shows up on time, stays for the amount of time she says she will, she is incredibly attentive and aware, and she leaves the house as she found it. The animals love seeing her, and I'm so grateful for all the work she does! If you want the best possible pet sitter for your animals, whether its one walk a week, daily visits, or overnight stays, Lauren is the BEST you will find!!

Our experience with Lend a Paw was wonderful. Our dog and 2 cats were cared for in the same, or maybe even better, manner as we do. They delivered on their promises. We highly recommend them to anyone who wants the security of knowing that their treasured pets are being cared for while they are away. We will use them from now on when we travel.

Doggie Play Camp offers the best "boarding" concept in Baton Rouge! And day play has helped my dog Scooby in so many ways. He absolutely loves Doggie Play Camp!

My very old dachshund has been there twice, she comes home happy, like she wasn't even gone. And she doesn't come home stinky like she does at other kennels. She gives the place 4 paws up!

My puppy loves going to camp. He’s only 9 lbs and there’s a separate area just for small dogs. I like that they offer activities (like a real camp!). I also appreciate the live video feed…being able to see him places me at ease. The staff is friendly knowledgeable & patient (with the many questions a new dog mom has). Camp Bow Wow is my puppy’s home away from home. They also offer training classes. Thanks to Patrick I’m learning the skills to be a confident leader & keep my dog safe at the same time.

Since 2014, I've moved between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and have tried 5 different doggy daycares looking for the best fit logistically for commute time and for quality care. To me, the Baton Rouge Pecue Lane facility is the best facility with the highest quality staff care. From the front desk staff and the manager(s) to the camp counselors you never really meet, who cuddle, play with, and monitor the interactions between dogs. Also, Camp Bow Wow's on-site trainer is top-notch--he not only helps train your dog, but he also trains you how to train your dog. Plus--there are tons of fun enrichment opportunities for your dog while he or she is at camp! The staff over the past decade has stayed consistently professional, friendly, and compassionate, and most of all--they truly love your dogs. And do you know how you can tell? The dogs love them!!

Camp Bow Wow is the best place for daycare and boarding your pup! They are always friendly, the staff just loves the dogs, and they know my dog and I by name. I like that I can check on her throughout the day using the camper cams on the website or app and I never have to worry about her. As a bonus, Bella has so much fun when she goes that I get a day off the next day because she sleeps all day!

Very clean facility, customer service is at the top of their game. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Our pup, Whiskey, had his first visit and had a blast playing with everyone (pups and staff).

Highly recommend! Great care, open 7 days a week with later hours for pick up, and when boarding they get the all day play time during the days - which is what my little puppy needs! Beaux loves coming here, and I my heart is at ease knowing the staff loves him too!

Gus loved to go to Camp Bow Wow 🐶 he gets so excited if you ask him do you want to go to CBW starts running around chasing his tail and goes to his camp bag where we keep the collar with his name on it. Good place for dogs -- they have socialization among similar sized dogs. They have cuddle and play time as extra but make sure to get the summary slips to verify cuddle time. My dog is always happily and exhausted after camping at bow wow.

Jax loves it and always has a good time when he goes. There is always a human eith them in the play area, and I can watch him on video, if I get worried. It's great

This is a amazing camp for dogs to play and have fun while you are on vacation or at work.it is a little expensive. 30 a day. The people are really nice and take care of them good. I recommend it.

I leave my puppy there all the and he loves it! Love being able to watch through my webcam. I can feel secure and not feel guilty over working all day and leaving him home alone. He comes home all tired from all the play and socialization. The helpers are super attentive and have gotten to know my dog. Also been doing dog training and their trainer Patrick is absolutely amazing. I've even been to other locations but Baton Rouge location is just way better. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Bagel LOVES going to daycare here! The play attendants are great and keep such close attention that they were able to find a small lump on my fur baby’s side. They pointed this out to me and I was able to have it looked at by my veterinarian. So grateful for Dogtopia and Bagel is too! He also loved be dog of the month🥰 …

I recently had a troubling experience with Dogtopia in Baton Rouge. The facility has a noticeable and unpleasant odor of urine and dog scent, which is overwhelming from the parking lot and throughout the lobby. Inside, the playrooms are often late to be mopped and do not appear to be sanitized properly after dogs relieve themselves, leading to unsanitary conditions where dogs end up laying in each other’s urine (as seen in the attached picture from the live camera). During the initial meet and greet for daycare three times a week and the occasional over night stay, I felt rushed and wasn't fully briefed on the process, which caused confusion on the usage of collars during my dog's first overnight stay. I was particularly concerned when I saw through the live cameras that staff were handling my 10 month old puppy roughly, pulling him aggressively into a crate to eat despite paying for a private suite for him to eat his meals. This staff member also aggressively pulled another dog into a crate right beside my dog. The management did apologize for these issues and how my dog was handled and promised to address them with further training and instruction to staff, however the lack of cleanliness and rough handling overshadowed their apologies. My dog came home every time with a distinct urine odor, stained black paw fur, and was dehydrated/lethargic. Additionally, the facility doesn't offer camera access to first-time clients during the meet and greet, which is concerning given my experience. Despite the friendly management, I won't be returning or recommending Dogtopia to others.

If I could give them more stars, I would. We were moving from Florida's to Arizona and decided to spend the day in Baton Rouge. My dog, Han Solo, was extremely anxious due to the move so we decided it would be best for him to go to daycare while we saw the town. They were able to accommodate us with about 24 hour notice. When I called to ask about availability, other daycare places told me to book online- dogtopia scheduled the meet & greet immediately and was helpful. Everyone we spoke to was incredibly friendly and clearly loved working there. My dog came back beyond exhausted, which as any dog owner can tell you, is the mark of a great day. I loved occasionally looking at the cameras and seeing him run around with the other dogs. When we arrived for pick up, they knew exactly who we were there for and said nothing but wonderful things about my pup. Thank you so much for all of the help and care!

I’ve brought my French bulldog here a number of times now. The staff are always friendly. My favorite part when I’ve boarded him is being able to watch him run around and interact with other dogs on the camera in the room. I dropped him off this past weekend and he was actually excited to see the staff and other dogs - made me feel better about leaving him in the care of someone else. He will definitely be back for another stay again.

FIVE STAR PALACE FOR PUPPIES Friendly helpful staff, organized and clean facility, my dogs do not think of Dogtopia as a caged clinic but rather playtime with friends. Our dogs always return home relaxed happy and eager to return for boarding whenever needed. Staff administers meds on timely basis and alerts you if there are any issues

I loved this place; I really did. My dogs loved it too. However, the last time I took them, I was left with an awful feeling. When I arrived to drop my pet off, I encountered an employee who I thought was having a bad day. I brushed it off until they started making negative comments about my dog. I began to get a bad feeling, but they'd never had a bad experience there before, so I ignored it. On the drive home, I kept playing it back in my head, wondering if maybe I shouldn't have left them there. Then, as I was arriving home (about a 30-minute drive), I saw a voicemail from that same employee exclaiming that my dog was a huge problem and to call them immediately. The employee told me my dog "immediately went after 5 dogs and had to be removed from the play area." I knew right away that something was very wrong. My dog has attended several doggy daycares, including Dogtopia, and I have personally observed my dog playing and socializing with other dogs. Not once has my dog had any issues with aggression. My pets are very well-socialized and get along great with all dogs. The depiction of my dog's behavior that I received was highly exaggerated and sensationalized. Trusting my intuition, I immediately knew something was not right. I was never asked to come and get my dog, but I refuse to entrust my dog to someone who seeks to vilify them. My dog deserves respect and care, and I will only trust them with someone who can provide that. I found a new doggy daycare in Baton Rouge that welcomed my dog with open arms and had no problems. Other owners should use extreme caution, as this was a longstanding employee. I reached out to Dogtopia to express my concerns, and they did not even want to hear what happened; they only asked which location my dog went to so they could talk to them about it first. I find it concerning that a company that touts its dedication to animal welfare prioritizes speaking with its employees before consulting with individuals with firsthand experience. Their primary focus is creating a narrative rather than seeking the truth about what occurred.

Dogtopia is my Dog’s home away from home. The staff is just incredible! They love my dog as if he were their own. I adopted a greyhound 5 years ago, and he is so excited when I tell him it is time to go to Dogtopia.

Only been 1 time so far. Appreciated the friendliness of the owner. Receptive to concerns. Liked the Meet and Greet with slower introduction of new dogs. Professional. Clean. Cameras are a plus. I didn't see toys for the dogs to play with, but that may be to avoid altercations. Will go again.

My Sweet Sophie had her hair trimmed at Dogtopia of Baton Rouge this morning. She looks so cute with her new cut.

Our pup absolutely loves going to Dogtopia for daycare. She's very much a dog dog, and her favorite thing (aside from eating) is playing with other dogs. So, she comes twice a week to get her "fix." Everyone who works here is super nice and friendly, and even our puppy, who is kind of indifferent to humans, greets everyone she sees really enthusiastically. We also board her here. Initially, we were concerned because she has pretty severe separation anxiety, but she always has so much fun and gets taken care of really well!

We had an great experience! Very sweet lady. She watched our Frenchie and he had a great time! Great at communication and always sending lots of pictures. 10/10 recommend and will be using them again in the future ❤️

This was my first time leaving my babies with someone I didn’t know and I was so nervous but I received pictures and videos everyday along with updates! My dogs were the happiest there and loved it! They were having their own vacation here! Definitely recommend and will be using Lisa every time in the future!

When we go out of town, we always leave our baby girl with Lisa. Our girl always looks forward to staying with Lisa!

My fogs love Miss Lynda. She owns a safe and fun place for dogs!! Her eyes are on all dogs and she treats them with a caring hand and voice. The dogs can come and go through a nice big doggy door, from a large yard to play in, to an air-conditioned room to cool off. Dogs are super safe under her care. Cannot ask for a better boarding destination!

I was so worried about going out of town and leaving my baby because he hasn’t been away from me more than a few hours since I adopted him. We got there and I was on the verge of tears and he was fine. Went and played with the other dogs and had a good time. She is a life saver. Wolfie was well taken care of and she eased me having to leave him. Turned out I am the one with separation anxiety hahaha. I was welcomed to check in any time with fast response. I can’t thank you enough!! I knew he was in good hands.

A safe and fun place for dogs!! The dogs can come and go through a nice big doggy door, from a large yard to play in, to an air-conditioned room to cool off. All dogs are pre-screened to make sure they're up to date on their shots and are not prone to aggressive behavior. I have boarded by dog twice here, and will board him here again on my next vacation.

This is our favorite boarding and day care facility that we have ever used. We have tried out a few over the years with our dogs, and none come close to Smooch my Pooch. The facility is always clean. I have never had a bad experience with any employees! The web cam is great, I love being able to check in on my dogs throughout the day. It is so wonderful to have peace of mind knowing that your dogs are well taken care of while they are away from home!!

Highly Recommend! I took my little rescue mutt to Smooch My Pooch this afternoon. I walked in with no appointment, and they took him back immediately to give him some much needed TLC. They cleaned up his ears and trimmed his nails and took care of the always dreaded anal glands (sorry for the TMI). The store is really clean, and the staff was extra friendly--two characteristics that are becoming more rare by the day. I also got him some treats for his good behavior, and was extra pleasantly surprised at the reasonable total price for the services and the treats. I find that lately I'm surprised by how high the total price is. I forgot what it was like to feel like I was getting a deal!

OMG....I'm so thankful I found this Lil gem for our mini Dachshund "Dolly"! She is only 4 months old and has never boarded away from us. When we walked in to Smooch My Pooch today, they knew Dolly's name immediately and you can tell everyone working there absolutely loves their job! (I was a mess while leaving) -Fawn and her team took SUCH great care handling her. I was able to peep in on her with the web cams! Great job to this team for creating such a great first impression and 1st experience for Dolly!

I’ve been bringing my dogs here for a few months and they love it. The employees are so nice, and my dogs always have fun and are tired out. I love the webcam feature too.

I've been going there for 3 or 4 years now. My baby girl is always done exactly how I like. They treat her good and she never afraid to go there, unlike some places I've been. She has never been cut by the clippers and she always smells and looks great!

We have been bringing our Poodle here for 7 years. Never had an issue. Staff is friendly. Our Bingo looks great every time. Highly recommend.

I brought Luna in for boarding and was so impressed with the way that they took care of her. I was able to check in on the cameras and saw that she was being cared for extremely well. I can not recommend Smooch My Pooch and their staff high enough. I will definitely let Luna stay with them again in the future.

We love Smooch my Pooch. Bentley was scared of others and had bad separation anxiety. They helped him so much. He loved going here. He got as excited to see the girls here as he does me when I come home. Highly recommend ❤️
