Decided to try them out for my very nervous 10 year old lady. Aimee gladly took her on, even though she had never been professionally groomed in her whole 10 years. Aimee was amazing with her! She was able to bath her, do a de-shed treatment, clip her nails and clean her ears with no problems, not even needing to muzzle her (which has always had to happen during nail trims, etc). I can’t thank Aimee enough for how she treated my girl. So much patience and kindness! We will be coming back!
Today I took my dog for a bath and nail trim. Sadly he has Cushings disease and has weak back legs. Amy was Fantastic with him! He was nervous and afraid and she scooped him up! (he is not a small dog!) and she was great with him! Many thanks. Nice clean place and friendly staff!
I adore coming to Scotti's! I train dog obedience at the shop. She is ALWAYS friendly and helpful with my clients.
Scotti's is wonderful! I was at a different groomer before Scotti's and the dogs didn't want to go in at all. When I bring my dog to Scotti's its nerver a problem. They are happy to see her and always look picture perfect when I pick them up. Staff is Wonderful! Very friendly and professional.
I really appreciate this establishment. They got Chili in the same day. I had called around for hours and couldn't get a same day appointment. They were very kind and caring to Chili. Her name was pepper when I brought her in but I changed it to Chili. Thank you guys soo much.
If you like being ignored or not having your phone calls or emails returned, then this is the perfect place for you! Spoke with the owner in October about setting up a grooming appointment right before Christmas. She said her and her staff have to figure out the schedule but they will definitely put me down and will call back once they have a day/time figured out. It’s now December 2nd and NOTHING. I tried calling, leaving a voicemail and emailing and STILL no response!!! If you’re not accepting anymore clients or have too much going on… then fine, I totally understand. But to not even bother with a call back? That’s just lack of customer service right there. Will be sure to let others know NOT to waste their time here.
My daughter took her Bernedoodle to Scotti's for its first hair cut. They did a GREAT job! She & I could not be more pleased. She will definitely be a repeat customer.
They have done a fantastic job with my Mountain Curr Soco for a couple years so far, and we just brought our golden doodle puppy Steve in for his 1st trim, on the House! Always a phenomenal experience, 6 out of 5 stars!
Scotti does a phenomenal job on my 2 collies and 2 Pomeranians. My one Pom has alapecia and she has him looking like a show dog 😊. Amazing. Scotti is so flexible to work with and with scheduling. Awesome work at reasonable prices. 👍👍👍👍👍👌😊
Scotti’s Dog House is great! Terri is the absolute best. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I fully trust them with my little rescue dog and he also loves them!
They are an amazing group of animal lovers! One of our dogs is leary of new people. With care and patience, he now enjoys daycare with his brothers and sister. Thank you for being patient!
Very knowledgeable, helpful and fun place for my pup for daycare and for boarding. My other two dogs only used boarding and appeared to love it. I decided to try another local daycare and my dog refused to go willingly, was terrified and crying and had an accident in fear trying to get out on the 2nd visit. I immediately left with her after they laughed and shamed me went to Chelstars to see if she was just having an off day and my pup ran straight to the staff wiggling her tail full of excitement. I guess having all the bells and whistles and cute Facebook page doesn’t mean anything. I trust my dogs vibe and also trust Rob and his staff. They love on my dogs like they are their own. No regrets trying a different place out because now I know Chelstars is where my doggos belong when they need to play or go for boarding. If your dog is hesitant about a place trust them.
We've been going to Chelstars for almost 20 yrs. Never had an issue. The facility is clean. They are flexible, always available. Brandon is an excellent groomer, as is the rest of the staff. Their prices for daycare, boarding, and grooming are reasonable. Staff is knowledgeable in training and, over the years, has been beneficial in training our pups.
We used to take our dogs here. We asked if we could see where they would be kept, a quick look at the kennels or cages. They told us they don’t allow that. Every other boarder is fine with that-- good places want to show off their facilities. Why not here? So we now drive to Peebles even though we are a block from Chelstars. Some owners can't get out of their own way.
We've been bringing our furbabies to Chelstar's for the last 13 years. All of our dogs have loved it there & go wild in the car as we approach the driveway. The staff are wonderful & go out of their way to make sure every animal is cared for - even when our last shih tzu had glaucoma and required eye drops several times a day.
They have been great! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I thought they might have a problem with my generally nervous dog, but they know knew just how to handle her! Great job! We will be back...
I LOVE this place. Hands down the best place to board my dog. He's been going here for years and he's almost 12 years old. I used to take my other pets here too. My dog enjoys going here and gets the care and exercise he needs while I'm away. I highly recommend going here to board your pets.
I have used Chelstars for about 10 years, for multiple dogs including one that was difficult to say the least. They are spectacular. The owner is present, and shows a genuine love and care for what they do. Last time I had my "Poppy" there for a haircut and nail trim I watched one of the employees spending time with the dogs outside (doggy recess) I watched him play with them, entertain them and help them run and get some energy out. Clearly someone who loves there job. He didn't know I was watching but it just reassured me that my dog is in good hands. Can't say I would ever go anywhere else!
In the past, our dog has enjoyed this boarder. She takes a daily anxiety medication, one that causes severe mental distress when quit cold turkey. They, apparently, decided that our dog should not take her medicine and did not give any to her. We picked her up 9 days later in a pitiful state. She was skin and bones, looking as if she hadn’t eaten since we dropped her off. I’m fearful that, had we been gone another couple days, she would have died. 2 months later, she is just beginning to regain weight. We will not be returning here because they show a clear lack of concern for the true well-being of your pets. Do you pet a favor and look elsewhere. You may save their life.
Great place to leave your pets on boarding
