Called the night before to confirm our appointment and I offered to email the dogs vaccine record. They said they needed a paper copy. Arrived at 8 am to get our dog groomed and they asked for a bordetello vaccine record. Provided the record provided by the breeder. They said they didn't accept it. I called the breeder and got the number of the vet that gave the vaccine. He confirmed it was valid and given. They said they'd groom the dog this one time and if she got kennel cough it was my fault and I'd be responsible if she gave it to other dogs. Called at 11 am to see if the dog was done and she wasn't even back to be groomed yet. Picked the dog up and decided not to have it groomed here.

Terry is always well taken care of and I know I will be informed of any problems. It's nice to not have to worry about his care.

They took care of our dog over a weekend and seemed very nice. Our dog dog didn't seem to distressed when we picked her up.

Made us get a Covid “wash/spray” last year when we boarded our dog. Said we could not board our dog without it. Forced us to pay 💰 for the wash/spray.

My dog came back to me 4 pounds lighter, with a cough, runny nose, and hoarse with an obvious sore throat.

I cannot say how much I love these guys! We take our Springers there for grooming and they always come back looking so beautiful.

The workers are very nice and our doggies enjoy their stay. Very reasonable cost.

These people care about each and every animal that comes through the door and they treat them like their own.

This is a fantastic small business run by a true pet lover, with a huge fenced in yard to exercise the dogs, daily photos and kind texts, and lots of play time with the other dogs who are boarding at Mad Pawz. Truly first rate in every respect, with clear communications and fair pricing. The owners are lovely people who will love your dogs. Our family travels regularly. And as much as we love them, we can't always take our two dogs with us. A friend recommended trying Faith and her family at Mad Pawz for the very best care in the area. And our friend was right - we feel like we hit the jackpot in dog boarding.

Faith and Justin at Mad Pawz are awesome! They sent us photos and updates of our Luna everyday and even got her a pup cup for spoil your pup day! When we picked Luna up, Faith was very informative on how everything went. 10/10 recommend!!

We found Mad Pawz by chance while we were frantically looking to board our Bo right before a trip Puerto Rico. The place we normally take him was full because of course we wait until the last minute. Of course I was hesitant as he had never gone there before but I tell you what, I’m normally not a lucky person, but we hit the jackpot. Mad Pawz isn’t a typical boarding facility, it’s a home away from home. What boarding facility has ever sent you pictures of your pets every single day? Without fail, every day I received a picture of Bo and I could tell that he was so happy to be there by the look on his face. It made me smile and tear up a little every single time. He’s not sad in a kennel all day. He’s happy and playing with his new best friends! It gave me a peace of mind that you can’t really even put a price tag on. I didn’t worry about him for one second while I was gone. I only leave reviews if I am so extremely happy with something that I feel I have to tell others. If you’re looking for a HOME (not a kennel) away from home for your pets, I can’t recommend anywhere better!

It was a great atomsphere for my 2 dogs they had a blast, Mad Pawz sent me photos of them playing or laying around relaxin. They had a party and the dogs get pup cups. Thanks Mad Pawz job well done

Mad Pawz takes great care of my dog when I'm away, and it's been a big help with her socialization with other dogs. Prices are fair, and with their new location, the dogs have a big yard to play in.

Horrible customer service from Faith. She did not check the paperwork or ask any questions prior to his first visit nor did she try to get to know him before taking him inside. We heard Faith screaming at the other dogs from the front yard when we arrived. Then she continued to tell us that she was leaving to run errands but her husband was in the yard. When we arrived for pickup, Justin was in the yard and the dogs were inside. Completely unacceptable to be paying for a sitter and he’s not being monitored especially when other dogs are present. Justin was very nice and friendly during pickup and the only positive outcome of this experience

I was very apprehensive about leaving our boy Loki with a boarding place and I’m so glad we chose Mad Pawz! He was taken such great care of and he absolutely loved it there. He was treated like one of the family and it gave us such peace of mind knowing he was doing so well! They send daily updates and photos and that was wonderful! Highly recommend this for your fur babies!

Such an amazing dog daycare spot! My family & I went to go experience the Allegheny train ride, so we needed to drop our little fur baby for a couple hours. He had lots of fun with the other dogs and would definitely recommend it to others! Faith was super sweet and we felt very comfortable dropping our little pup.

They have watched our cats twice now and I'm very happy with them. My cats seemed very happy there when I came to pick them up. Their staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely the best kennel for pets that I have ever used and my wife and I have lived in multiple states!! They are so professional and my dog gets excited about going there. I have never had any issue regarding fleas and ticks there, unlike other boarding places. Their prices are reasonable and I like their grooming services.

I am picking my dog Ollie up today, this is the third time he has been there. No complaints at all the price is reasonable, the staff is friendly, and most importantly Ollie was taken care of. I would higly recommend them, and will continue to take Ollie for years to come.

I have a special needs dog. He is a rescue and was severely abused, causing him to get violent if he is enclosed in a kennel. Kitty allows him to stay in her office so he doesn’t hurt himself. She always accommodates his anxiety and her staff has been very helpful in managing his issues. It is also important to know that this place is alway impeccably clean and the pups are given clean soft blankets to lay on. I won’t consider taking my boys anywhere else!

I have 2 small dogs, and never had to put my dogs in a kennel before. My dogs took quickly to staying here. The owner and workers were helpful, and very nice. I was worried because my one dog has anxiety issues. He had no problems. Definitely will take my dogs here again.

Never worry about your pets there. They definitely give your pet the attention they deserve when you are not around. Whether it's a day or week the prices are super. If you plan on using them make plans a few weeks ahead of time for reservations they are really busy so that should tell you how good they are.

Everything was quick and simple, but i left a bag with my dog full of his items and when they handed it back to me it was torn to shreds? Saying my dog or some other dog chewed it up. Then when we get home he has diarrhea and blood in it. So chances are he has a piece of the bag in his intestines and if thats the case, Id like to know WHY he wasnt being watched and WHY he was even able to reach his bag? Very upset.

Kitty takes exceptional care of my dog when I am on vacation. The kennel is next to her house and someone is always there. I feel at ease leaving my dog with Kitty. The kennel is spacious and always clean. I highly recommend Animal House for boarding your fur baby.

I had a favorable impression based on the visit so for. One experience makes it a little hard to give a whole-hearted, blanket recommendation but would definitely bring my boys back again. The price is very, very reasonable. I've paid considerably more elsewhere.

Our dog Cash loves it there, they take very good care of him. He can't wait to get in when we get there. He has anxiety and he does very well there.

We took our two Shih Tzu's, to Brooke to groom. Brooke did an amazing job. I couldn't believe how fast she was able to groom them. They looked great and smelled great. Brooke was very nice and professional. Her shop is very clean and doesn't smell like dogs. Even the grooming area was clean. I will definitely be taking my fur babies to Brooke again. My fiance and I rescued a puppy a few months ago, and quickly realized how hard it was to find healthy food, treats and chews at our local stores. Pet Wants has EVERYTHING we could have ever hoped for. Every product they carry is natural/ organic and most is even "human grade", this is NOT a milk bone and bleached rawhide establishment! We have been so impressed with not only the products but the staff as well. They are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and have helped guide us to exactly what we need. We purchase all of our food and treats here and urge all our friends and family to do the same!

I love this place! Very nice and helpful staff, nice variety of cat food, toys, treats, etc (as well as many dog items). And my cats have never looked as healthy as they have since being put on the amazing food (we buy the cat and kitten grain free). They also offer delivery and online orders. Just a great store.

Cute little pet shop in town. Has a nice size of pet merchandise at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. Watch out for the little puppy at the door! He likes to greet people. Definitely will return.

Wonderful service and truly dedicated to dogs. Their dog food may be a little pricey but well worth the expense and what a difference in our pup’s coat. The food has stabilized her weight. The owner even delivers our purchase. A real asset to our surrounding area!

I called the place 20 minutes before closing, showed up and he helped me with everything I needed explained everything we bought. Their selection was fantastic, actually ended up buying extra items because of how helpful the staff was! Their selection of toys and treats is phenomenal I highly recommend anybody that loves their animal to visit the store

Amazing I'm glad Cody recommended this place. Our 6 mouth old German shepherd was having the runs and we tried 3 different foods nonw of them see to help. So we asked Cody and he said to try this place we did and she loves the food and it helped with her stomach problems. 100% recommend this place. Thank you for the great food. I'm headed up that way right now to get more. I only got a 10lbs bag before to try it out and make sure Rosie like it and it helped. I will not buy any other food from now on.

I went here today for the Grand Opening! Really clean and nice atmosphere and the staff were very kind. I wanted to try the food because my dog is such a picky eater and everyday is a battle! I got the lamb and brown rice kibble and she liked it and ate it up with enthusiasm! So happy this place is in town! We really needed it!

Quality pet food, treats and toys. Staff are incredibly helpful to work with! They also offer local delivery options as well. I don’t have the words to describe how pleased I am to have them in our community to service the needs of our fur family.

Tina, Jamie, everyone there has always provided excellent care for our Collies. We think they love them as much as we do! The facilities are spacious and well designed. The drop off and pick up times are very convenient. Communication is seamless. They continue to add enrichment experiences, walks, play spaces, even special seasonal treats. We don’t feel any guilt when Kepler needs to stay at his Pet Resort.

Fantastic experience for our Zuzu! We used Dogwood for 3 separate vacations this summer and couldn’t give them higher praise. Tina and everyone there truly love their jobs and our fur babies. The additions they have offered now such as nature walks and playtime in the yard kept her very active and content. She was always clean and happy every time we’ve picked her up. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality care for their pups. She even gave us updates and pictures 😊.

Staff is great with my dog, Kenji, and he seems very happy there. He's always excited when he goes there, which is a good thing. When I take Kenji to Dogwood, our drive is an hour and some. Because of how my dog is treated, I will keep driving that far when I need to board him again.

First time we took our dog there, we had the best experience. He was only there 5 days the first time. However, our second experience was not the best. He came home with a chewed harness, broken leash, and smelled like dog/cat pee. After spending $150more dollars to replace everything that was broken and on a grooming appointment, he’s finally back to the same self. His behavior has changed drastically. He does not listen to his basic commands and is chewing everything insight, including our brand new carpet. I really hat to give poor reviews to any business because the worked were so kind and informative when dropping and picking our dog up. I just hope this was one bad experience.

We had a fantastic experience with Dogwood Pet Resort! The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean, and our dog came back happy and well-cared for. AND the nature walks are a plus. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving place to board their furry friend.

Tina and Tony are great pet people. They take time to go over all of ur concerns and make sure ur dog is as happy and taken care of as best as any dog kennel I have ever seen. There employees Jamie and Benett are also very willing to listen to your pet concerns and make sure you feel good leaving ur fur baby with them. Our dog loves to stay there and we can tell when we pick him up he is happy as he was when we dropped him off. Our dog will stay there moving forward and I'm glad we found such a great place to take care of our furry friend.

My daughter took my grandog to Dogwood pet resort for a day out of the house and she came back the happiest we've ever seen her! They bathed her, blew her coat (Husky), clipped her nails and played her little heart out. She can't wait to go back for another day out of the house and to explore the new play yard ❤️

My dog is always eager to go and happy when I pick him up. The staff are amazingly wonderful. The beautiful wooded site makes it marvelous for his daily walks. Saxon gives it 5 woofs!

I have been lucky and have never had to kennel my pets before. I was especially nervous because we had just adopted our dog 2 weeks prior, and she is still shy and very small. This was a family event that had been planned for months and we got our dog after we had made our hotel plans. I was really worried she would think she was "back in the system". Trust me, I cried about it. And by that I mean I bawled LOL. On top of that, because of Covid-19, we weren't able to see the facitilies and they came outside to pick up our dog. I couldn't have been happier. Of course I would have rather been snuggling at night, but they knew her name after the first night (when they were at capacity Labor Day weekend), so I knew she was in caring hands. We were able to pick her up in the daytime and hang out all day, and return her in the evening for boarding. Every person we worked with was very friendly and I know she was loved. It seems common in the Deep Creek area that hotels don't allow pets, so I was very glad for their services. She was only ten minutes away from our hotel. At the end they gave us a super cute "report card" where they had taken photos and told us a little bit about her stay. Also, they were very reasonably priced. Thank you so much for taking care of our baby!

We were very anxious about leaving our two dogs, as they had never been in a kennel before. Our rescue has severe separation anxiety, and is also an escape artist. Knowing this, I went and toured the facility to make sure our rescue wouldn't be able to escape while we were gone. To relieve her anxiety, I called and booked the largest suite they had, so our dogs would be able to stay in the same room together. Bed and Bark truly cares about the comfort of your dogs, they asked us to bring their beds and toys to play with. Needless to say, they had a great time. They almost seemed bummed to be going home. The dogs are really cared for and we even received a "report card" about how they did. We loved picking them up and seeing pictures of their little faces, having a good time. If we need to board our dogs again, we will without a doubt be boarding them here.

This is the most loving, attentive, caring place you could ever leave your pet. Having to visit my mom once a week in another location, we have had to leave our Charley frequently. They treat him so well, he actually leads THEM into the kennel. They play with him, take him on hikes, send home a report card and even texted me pics when we were gone for an extended period. This is a one of a kind kennel and absolutely the best!

5+ stars for this place! I brought my dog here while on vacation and I was impressed from the courteous receptionists until it was time for pick up. They gave us a brochure with pictures of my dog while he was there and I really feel he enjoyed the experience. I would certainly contact Bed N Bark Inn if I visit the area in the future.

Air conditioned runs, heated floors in the winter, walks on a wooded path during the day, play yards, a large size den for large-size dogs like Great Danes, regular dens with pass-throughs if there are two dogs in a family being boarded, experienced and friendly staff....and much more. The absolute best kennel I've ever used for my dog.

It not use the bed and bark was there to take my dog to the vet but is place has lots of other stuff adopt pets great place to get some awesome stuff for people whom love animals

Worst customer service. They hang the phone on me . Long wait till they answer the phone. I sent the vaccine doc many times and they don’t even know the cat got the vaccine twice.

I was a little nervous leaving my little dogs to a place they had not been before. As soon as I met Lindsay the owner I felt totally comfortable. She was great! Oscar and Junebug didn’t want to leave! She did she did a wonderful grooming job! The dogs will be back!!😍 …

Everything went great! I left my two doggies there for one week. She took great care of them and they were totally healthy and happy when I came to pick them up. Lindsay washed all my blankets, bathed them and had their report cards with lots of great information:-) I am very pleased!! She is super organized and was flexible with my schedule. We will use her in the future!

We boarded our sweet Darla for the very first time last weekend, for our Wedding. Lindsay was great to communicate with before, during and after the event. She seems to really love dogs and know a lot about them. Darla was healthy and clean when we picked her up. Drop your dog here for daycare while you enjoy a spa treatment at Capon Springs up the road. It will be a spa day for all!

My dogs stayed here over the summer and had a great playing. They can be hard to handle at times but Lindsey knew just what they needed to settle in. She sent me pictures during their stay which put my mind to ease. She also grooms my pom pom every couple months. She is great with dogs and very knowledgeable when it comes to their needs and wants.

After a bad boarding experience, we only left our dog with family, until now! Lindsey is amazing and I was confident our boy would be well-loved while we were away. It was great to get updates throughout the week and come home to a beautifully groomed and (most importantly) happy fella. Lindsay was awesome to work with from the minute we called her to inquire about our "Buddy's stay" this summer. Her communication was great and she enthusiastically welcomed us when we arrived. Buddy was well loved and had a great time. He was so clean and looked great when we picked him up and even his blanket had been washed! We have a 10 year old Lab and wanted to get a deep clean. This was our first time and I must say Lindsay put all our worries at ease. Not only were we pleased with the cleaning but it also made a difference in shedding she really got a lot of hair thinned out. Lindsay even touched bases with us to let us know he was doing well and sent a couple pictures which put us at ease. I would recommend her she is very caring and you can tell she likes what she is doing.

Lindsay made me feel at ease dropping my dog Lady off for grooming. She even sent pictures during the process and kept me updated the whole time. I warned her that Lady was temperamental around other dogs. She made sure she was kept from the other dogs to avoid a fight. She treated her as if she was her own and was very attentive. I will be returning to get Lady groomed again. Thank you Lindsay!

I boarded my one year old Ragdoll cat, Aidan, for a week while at the beach. Lindsey groomed Aidan during his stay and she did an awesome job! I am now going to have her groom him on a regular basis to prevent mats and keep him looking beautiful! I highly recommend boarding and grooming with Lindsey!

Needed someone last minute to care for our kitty during the holidays and Lindsay was awesome! She was very responsive and took true interest in him and his well-being, even giving his meds twice daily. Her updates during his stay helped us rest assured that he was in great hands!

I would not use this place. I was happy the first year. The second year. The owner was very overwhelmed she said she we took our two dogs in seemed confused. The dogs are German Shephards they seemed very aggressive when we got back it took a few days to get them back to themselves. Did not tell us about an extra fee to the day before picking them up. She also had my daughter’s dog who was older and had been traumatized since returning home. It’s been a month now.

Didn't have a good experience, they let my dog lay in piss for a week and ever since my dog went there she hasn't been the same. They charge extra don't tell you til last minute. Please don't take your animals here!!!!!!

Country Mile Pet Resort ,groomed our Black Laborer Retriever Charlie ,when she was only 3 months old.When we picked her up ,she looked and smelled so good ! We are now boarding Charlie at 4 months for over at week with them,as we go on Vacation.We trust Charlie will be taken Great care of professionally and enjoy herself with other doggies ! If not I will definitely revise my review after Charlie has stayed. Country Mile Pet Resort, also groomed our last Lab many yrs ago ,for the 12 yrs ,Angel, was here with us ,we alway took her to groomed .We never had an issue ,always had Wonderful results with Angel as she always came back Happy .Though we never had Angel They also are good at getting me an appointment quickly,,as I want those nails trimmed as soon as possible when they hurt ,don’t like having to wait until the following week !! Also Affordable low prices compared to others ,and no busy town traffic ,trying to find a spot to park or meters to lay ! Yes, out in country ,is where Dogs like to be !!! I was looking for good groomer for my goldendoodel. Some one recommended this place. I make a visit first time about three years ago. And now I have two more poodles and we visiting only Country Mile Pet resort. She has extensive experience working with animals, especially cats and dogs. My dogs come back home clean, beautiful, fun and healthy! She really has a high professional level.They are also involved in cat rescue.

My mom had brought her cat there and she was insanely rude to her not once but twice. Do not recommend at all. Please think twice before going here.

I had avoided this place for a while, because our budget is tight, and I thought it would be too expensive to shop here. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I finally stopped by. Their prices are very reasonable and comparable to other pet places. They also sell a lot of single dog chews, which I really liked, because I could get my dog something to chew for around $1-$3. The staff was been very kind, and when I went in to see if they had suggestions for a food my puppy might like (she’s very picky), they sent me home with SEVERAL free food samples and lots of helpful information, as well as a free welcome bag and dog toy. They also have a rewards program for frequent buyers. You can tell that these people really care about animals, and try to make their supplies affordable and accessible to everyone.

As a family with multiple pets we have always gotten wonderful service and guidance from everyone at Uptown Hound. We had a pretty serious health scare with our 11yr old Aussie a little over a year ago. She had an immune related hemolytic anemia. Her immune system was basically attacking healthy red blood cells. We give credit to the amazing staff at our Vet's office for her treatment and recovery and are deeply grateful. I visited Uptown to see if I could find anything that might further support her as she healed. The Forza brand food, specifically the one for immunity was recommended. If anyone is hesitating over the cost of this food (approx $50 for an 8lb bag) please give it a chance. I know it seems expensive but you will save the money down the road in vet bills for feeding better food. Our dog was on a thyroid pill before becoming sick that she had been on for years. During treatment for her anemia we had to give her multiple prescriptions in addition to her thyroid medicine. (Thank goodness Martin's fills pet prescriptions. A GoodRX card at Martin's helped us afford her treatment.) She gradually came off of all of the medications that were treating her anemia, some that we were told she might need for the rest of her life, and I watched as she fully became herself again. Silly and playful and happy. In the time since the only thing that we have been doing differently in her care has been what we are feeding her. Instead of Science Diet we have been feeding her Forza and she has been taking her thyroid pill. Nothing else. At her yearly check up this month her bloodwork looked great AND we were able to reduce the dosage of her thyroid medication by half! We are careful to feed enough without overfeeding. We had to sort what this looked like for her by trial and error. The 8lb bag of food lasts longer than you would think. At least for a 35lb Aussie who also gets a couple of treats each day. Uptown Hound is incredible for many reasons and all of those are centered around an educated owner and staff that are constantly learning, willing to help, and a determination to carry great products. I know that we have been given precious extra time with our dog because of both a good veterinary staff and the helpful folks at Uptown.

The atmosphere @ Stonehaven’s is very pet friendly. Always doing their best to accompany requests ASAP. We love their DIY dog wash. The owner and her business are an asset to the community. 👍 …

Amazing! This place has the special brand (Fromm Family Gold) dog food that we have our pets on! So happy that they carry this food it’s the only place in the area that does! The staff is super knowledgeable about everything you could think of and so friendly!! I am so happy with this place, best in the area will be returning here from now on for all pet needs! My doggie loves it also as they give her a treat when we purchase something!

Passing through on our 2 week road trip from STL. Stayed at the best Western here in town and saw flees on our 2 frenchies.. quickly looked up a place to go for self service bath station. Uptown hound blew us away with their excellent service, extremely friendly staff, and great products! We're super cautious w ith our pups and this place was amazing!! Thanks so much and if we're in the area again we will definitely be back!! They also gave us the cutest puppy bag!! Sunny appreciated this just as much as us!!

Shoutout to uptown hound for such a great first grooming experience with our dog Bow. Super easy process across the board. Great prices compared to the area and super friendly atmosphere. Lots of items to buy your furry friends as well. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
