Summer and Ryan did a great job taking care of our fur babies! We were able to enjoy a couple meals with them and their adorable family before heading out. We had a great time. It was nice having Isabella interact with a baby around her age! They kept the house super nice and clean which was a relief; I had a long journey back home to Puerto Rico and having my home clean was one less thing I had to worry about. Ryan was kind enough to plant some palms we had and cut the grass which was greatly appreciated!! Being on an island and on island time, a couple things arose which they took with stride (washer man pushed the appointment to fix the washer to a later date forcing them to use the laundromat, and the towns power went out for a day or two). I’m grateful that they understood and appreciated that culture and infrastructure is a bit different here. I’m stoked they got to experience island life before possibly pursuing a similar venture, and we would gladly have them again (:
Arman has helped me out twice. He is super reliable and tidy, and Lucy likes him - that is all I can ask for. He communicates well. He is attentive to details. And super respectful of the space. I highly recommend him.
I can't rave about this sit enough! If you are ever invited to sit for Sandra and Veeka, I highly recommend that you accept the invitation. Sandra is lovely. A kind, genuine person that is a joy to get to know. It's obvious that she loves and cares for Veeka. When you see her with him it's also ery obvious that she knows how to train and work with dogs. The house is stunning and in a very safe area. It is well appointed and the area is very walkable. The lake is beautiful and there's great birdwatching from the pate. I even saw two Bald Eagles fishing! And the best part? Veeka! I've fallen in love. He is such a sweet, silly, gentle guy. He's very well trained and without a destructive bone in his body. He loves *everyone,* be they human or canine. I cannot wait to visit Veeka and Sandra again.
James and Flora were generous hosts who made us feel very welcome. Their house and garden was beautiful and a short walk to the beach but the best thing about the sit was their wonderful dog Coco who was such a pleasure. Coco is very well behaved, super intelligent and full of energy. She would spend the whole day on the beach playing ball if you let her. We completely fell in love with her and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to go back again in the future. Thank you James and Flora for trusting us with your house and dog.
I couldn’t recommend this house sit enough! Calum and Maddy were absolutely amazing. They left me a detailed handover and made sure I had everything I needed. The house is absolutely beautiful - right on the water, a beautiful new kitchen and a log burner. Now onto the main attraction - LUNA. Where do I start? She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. She’s got such a funny personality and was so easy to look after. I loved my time in Wormit and would highly recommend.
Frankie was a delight to look after and taking her on adventures in the area is an absolute pleasure. Judith & Richard were so friendly, welcoming and quick to communicate. I would happily come back in a heartbeat!
We loved taking care of Callie, we stayed for a month and little by little she became fond of us and began to ask us for affection. Jim and Vickie were always very attentive and their house was very cozy and since it was remodeled we didn't have any problems. We would recommend it for other sits
Amneris was a very thoughtful host! Even though we didn’t have the chance to meet, she went above and beyond for us with “simple” things that made us feel super welcomed. Her place is like a sanctuary with lots of plants everywhere, very spacious, clean, nice energy and also quite silent and peaceful environment in general. The apartment is not close to the train but public transportation in Chicago is great, although at night I would prefer to Uber. There are bus stops just a block from it and the park is only a 15 min walk.. ideal for a picnic in summer time. And Goose, oh my, probably my favorite cat ever. His spirit is just beautiful. He’s very independent but makes himself present every now and then. And if he’s in the mood for some cuddles, he’s all about it. It wasn’t that hard to make him take his pill. He just doesn’t like it and will try his best not to swallow it. This was a great experience overall. I really really enjoyed this sit and I highly recommend it.
