Emma was the best host I could have ever asked for. She, her husband, and their daughter were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure I felt 100% comfortable in their home. The atmosphere was always warm and welcoming. Pepper and Messy, their delightful dogs, are the most loving and affectionate pets I've ever met. They brought so much joy to my stay, and I already miss them dearly. From thoughtful touches around the house to engaging conversations, every moment spent with Emma and her family was truly wonderful. I can't recommend staying with them enough—it was a perfect experience from start to finish. I hope to have the opportunity to come back one day!
We had simply the best weekend with Mr Chewie in Bath, and could not recommend Joanna and Alasdair more highly as hosts. Chew is a very affectionate, well-trained and socialised dog with such personality. He was easy to walk and was very playful - keeping us on our toes in the park! Jo and Ali are particularly kind and hospitable. Communication was a breeze, they collected us from the station, giving us some hot local tips about Bath over lunch, and were always a message away to respond to any questions. Their house is a gorgeous Georgian terrace and is so homey, but a stone's throw from the centre of town. Thank you both for a lovely time!
It has been my great honor to sit for Jay, Jane, and their lovely friend, Kesey the retriever mix not just once, but twice! I only hope I get the chance to return one day. Jay and Jane welcomed me into their home with open arms. They made sure I had everything I needed to feel at home, comfortable, and safe (of key importance for a solo female traveler). On top of that, Kesey was a wonderful housemate! I enjoyed our time walking around the area and playing in the parks. She’s an adorable, happy, and fun dog to be around, and even though she’s sometimes energetic, she was happy to nap the day away while I worked from home. A win-win! Their home is situated close to everything you could need and has beautiful views of the Columbia River. I had the chance to meet a neighbor friend who was kind and helpful, and love the Hood River area for getting out into nature and having a nice lunch in town. All in all, I’m lucky to have found this sit, and if you get the chance, I encourage you to jump on the opportunity. You won't regret it!
We had a lovely time at Jan and Lionel's in Worcester. Lionel was very chilled. No issues whatsoever with our 7 month old daughter around him either. Jan was a great host, leaving us walking maps, local walks and pub recommendations, and swan food for the famous Worcester swans. We loved the area around the house, loads of walks on your doorstep. And the beautiful Malvern Hills were very closeby too and worth a visit! Easy to get there and around with public transport too.
Diane was great and has a lovely house very close to a couple of convenience stores and bus stops for Central Maidstone. Diane and I met up before the sit and I was introduced to dear cat, Bella, and shown around. A useful Welcome Guide was provided. Bella is a sweetheart of a cat but doesn't much like being made a fuss of. She will show you what she wants and when. Parking nearby was pretty easy and the neighbourhood friendly. Diane is a generous and thoughtful host so I am happy to recommend it as an easy 5 star sit.
