If Ana happens to apply to any of your dates, confirm her sit as soon as possible! I know it's easier to just post 5 stars for sitters, but this one is truly legitimate. We lost one of our last two herd goats just before Ana came, leaving one very senior goat on his own. I went back and forth between traveling and canceling to stay with him and figure out his best options. The trip was critical to make and with Ana's assurances, I left for two weeks. My little had the best companionship, the best care, very attentive eyes on him, and was never alone for too long, helping him to adjust to his new normal. This platform is great for people to travel and visit new places; however, animal care often comes in second for the explorer as they enjoy their new surroundings. Ana found the way to enjoy time for herself yet keep animal care as her priority. My senior pup loved having Ana's little senior pup, Peanut, in the house. When I come home from traveling, I can tell in an instant if my animals were satisfied with their care, and these two were happy little campers! Sadly, our summers include wicked wildfires. We had one break out within 2 miles of the house--on the day I was traveling coast to coast. When I landed and spoke with Ana, thankfully the fire was under control and evacuation was not required; however, she already had contacts established for transport for my goat and she had the car packed with all she would need for their care should evacuation been necessary. Having a wildfire that close to your home is completely unnerving, especially when you are not home. It took some time for me to settle my nerves but it was NOT because I lacked confidence in Ana. Her communication was fantastic. Again, explorers often say they will send updates daily or send photos and then they go MIA periodically. Ana sent me daily updates, as I had requested, and sent photos. I could tell by their energy in the photos that all was well. We really didn't know how my senior goat would do on his own and with someone new. Ana and Pippin quickly became tender friends and he felt safe with her. Pinkie pup loved all of the attention she got. This is a long review but it is important for me to write it. We all put a lot of trust in the person coming in to our homes and caring for our littles while we are away. On some level, we have to surrender and trust all will be well upon our return. This is the first time I can say that I could focus on the difficult task that requires me to travel and not have a constant worry running in the background. Personally, it has been lovely getting to know Ana. She is a very kind, compassionate, and generous person. She has keen eyes when it comes to all the details and the sweet care we hope to receive for our littles. And we really really hope she wants to come back for another visit!

Can I give six thumbs up?

Merid is sweet and very cuddly (in her own specific spaces). She's an easy cat to care for and very lovable. We really liked spending time with her.

And Lisa is an amazing homeowner! She really thought of our needs, making sure that we had a space, towels, soaps, and everything else we needed to be comfortable. She's a great communicator. She answered questions for us that we hadn't even yet thought to ask. She's also a great conversationalist.

We would absolutely come back!

I only stayed with Guinness 2 days, but it were pretty cool, Guinness likes long walks, so I took him to Buena vista Park that it's very near Meryl's and Jack's home, it was a great hike, he is such a good boy, at first he was a little shy but we ended cuddling and taking a coffee in Duboce Park Cafe.

Meryl's and Jack's house is great, is full of art, I really enjoyed hanging in the multiple couches they have :) and it was great meeting them, they seem like a lovely family, + Meryl has a great collection of travel books!

If you are considering sitting Guinness, go for it, he is such a cute lab! Thank you again Meryl & Jack 🤍

Oliver
Oliver & Jeff are great hosts- very welcoming and caring. They provided lots of information and recommendations for the local area as well as clear instructions for their gorgeous pets and home.
Winston and Aujus were a pleasure to look after. They enjoyed lots of cuddles and play time. Aujus can sometimes get a bit frightened on walks but with encouragement and care she will happily continue. Aujus reminded me very much of my baby back home so got spoilt heaps (and I tried to find a way to sneak her away with me when we left, but I'm sure she would have been missed 😂). Winston was also gorgeous and very well behaved, so was easy to spoil as well.
The apartment is beautiful and has everything you would need. The area is fabulous with lots of character. We explored the many places to eat and have coffee, and found it very easy to travel into the different areas by public transport or walking.
We loved our sit and will definitely miss Winston & Aujus. We would not hesitate to return to look after them again.

Thank you Sally Anne. Communication was incredible and so flexible and accomodating with arrangements. Max and Bailey are absolutely beautiful dogs who are a pleasure to be around. Loved the nearby walks. The cottage is warm and cosy with a stunning garden fit for a sunny afternoon. Definitely sit if you get the chance!
