Carl treated our home and two dogs with a care and love as if they were his own. When we returned home from our trip the house was in a better state of cleanliness than when we left and the dogs were clearly sad to see him leave. Carl walked the dogs more often than we had requested, gave them massages, played with them and gave them the special medication that they require. He communicated with us daily and sent photos ensuring that we never had to worry. He also left us a detailed (5 pages) report of his time with our fur babies. We truly hope that Carl will be able to sit for us again in the future! With unquestionable enthusiasm we highly recommend Carl.
Stephanie, Brian and baby Martin took fabulous care of our home and pets for two weeks. From the outset, communication was quick, smooth and friendly and it was clear that both Stephanie and Brian are reliable, professional and warm sitters who take all the various elements of a sit seriously. They kept us up to date with photos and messages, dealt proactively and competently with any unexpected issues that popped up, and most importantly showered our dogs and gerbils with attention and care throughout the time we were away. We returned to a spotlessly clean home (with thoughtful touches of fresh milk, bacon and bread waiting for us) and happy, settled pets. In short, we would recommend Stephanie and Brian to anyone looking for reliable, attentive and proactive sitters for their pets and home. We would be delighted to welcome them back for another sit, should they ever find themselves in the area again.
I recently hired Gabby for the first time to take care of my house and 4 dogs, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Margery and Steve were lovely hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and told all about the things to do in town. Their home is beautiful, welcoming, and clean. Close enough to enjoy the city of Annapolis yet tucked into the woods in a peaceful setting. They explained everything about Juno’s care. Juno was a little shy at first but then we became friends. Rob and Karen are lovely hosts and their home is very comfortable. Basel and Siena are lovely dogs and are well trained. I think the one thing I would add is that Basel is pure muscle and a very friendly hound dog, so he does require someone with good strength to keep him in check when he gets excited. Just a little bit more attention to dates would have been great, as I booked my return flight around the end date listed, when in reality it was two days earlier. Not a big deal, but as an independent contractor I had to say no to a two day gig, as it coincided with the listed end date of the sit. I would highly recommend Basel and Siena to any other sisters, they are truly wonderful dogs. Frederick is a wonderful town full of great restaurants and there are many historical things to do nearby.
