I would definitely have Ami back to care for my doggies in the future. She took very good care of them & sent me updates as I requested. My home & plants were in perfect condition when I got home. Because I was leaving so early on the beginning day of the sit, she came over a week before the sit so I could show her around and she could meet the dogs. I very much appreciated her doing that.
Caring for Winston was an absolute joy and we quickly fell in love with the little fellow! He is an absolute dream to walk and excellent in the car. Ann’s home is in an area with many trails & good sidewalks to walk him, not to mention the many places you can drive to. Winston joined us for a road trip to Sylvan Lake & then sat nicely in his bed at a brewery that allowed dogs inside! Oh & did I mention, Winston is a great sleeper. Just put his bed on your bed and he crawls in, sleeping until you decide to get up. During the day when not walking he could be found on the sofa snuggling up with us! Ann’s home is lovely and very clean. The beds were comfortable & the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The view from the living room is incredible and her wrap around deck would be nice for a warm weather sit. The setup for a sitter is ideal. Upstairs are 2 queen bedrooms with ensuite baths. Ann has 2 tenants that live below her and because of this requires you to not wear shoes in the house, so bring slippers. One of the tenants was a great pal with Winston. With Ann’s permission Winston went to her place for a couple of evenings for a “play date”. Depending on your physical ability, the main part of town is walkable either by trail or road. It has a well-stocked grocery store (Village Market), a butcher that is to die for (Cut Meat and Seafood) and many good restaurants. The town has the Eagle Valley trail (5 miles one direction) that Winston loves. If you can bring your bike, the trail would make a nice ride to Avon & back. The town has a bus service, though we didn’t use it, and the stop is walkable down a hill on the backside of Ann’s house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it to other sitters.
Due to some travel complications for Jena, this sit was cancelled. However, I did get to meet the two gorgeous pups beforehand and see their townhouse. It's a beautiful, brand new two storey home and very clean and tidy. Jena and her partner were very welcoming and kind and clearly love their dogs to pieces. The weiner dogs are super friendly and I got kisses and got to give some belly rubs. The location is quiet and close to a beautiful beach overlooking the city of Victoria. In the half hour that we chatted, I can confidently say that this would be a relaxing, easy sit for any dog lover.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rae and Marty's home with the wonderful MacGregor. MacGregor was such a gentleman and soon had us trained to let him out the door, even though there was a catflap, and back in through the dining room window if we were sitting at the table. Rae and Marty were generous, welcoming hosts with a warm and comfortable home. We would highly recommend this house sit and would gladly come again if our schedules allowed. Thank you so much for letting us care for MacGregor!!
This was our first experience with trusted housesitters and we are so thankful that Christine invited us! From the very first contact till we had to say goodbye this was a wonderful sharing. Christine is a warm-hearted woman who is living in peaceful harmony with her dog and cats. We had so much fun playing with them and getting to know their individual and beautiful characters. Lucy the dog was even brave enough to join us on adventurous hikes around the dreamlike landscapes of Marbella. Within these few days, we built a relationship of trust with Christine and our new furry friends, which was extremely fulfilling :) We cannot emphasize enough how much we love to recommend you to housesit at Christine's home. We felt very safe and comfortable as Christine and her lovely neighbors were always there to help us out and give insider tips :) PS We are still munching on the incredibly delicious oranges that we were offered to pick from her tree :D Thank you from our hearts! Anna & Fabio
Beth was a fantastic host! Her home was spotless with all the amenities you'd want. Her home is in an area that is convenient to parks, shopping & restaurants. Rusty & Nala were a joy to keep. Both are well-behaved lovebugs, especially Nala. She was right by my side or on my lap the entire stay. I miss them both already! I can't recommend Beth, Rusty & Nala if you're in the Bend area.
Harriet and Aaron were so sweet and welcoming to me before, during and even after this sit. Their place is super cute, comfortable and in a cool neighborhood that is also central to London. Most importantly, Ross is a CHARMER and I missed him once I left. Highly recommend and would come back anytime! Thank you so much guys!
