Falcore warmed up to her quickly. Melinda was very communicative and would let us know if she had anything going on. She would also send us video of Falcore being a goodber around her. She even left him a toy, that he now plays with!
Jodie was extremely responsive via SMS leading up to and during the housesit. She ran through everything necessary when we met, prior to her leaving for a few days away. Any questions were answered promptly. Caring for Mee was an absolute pleasure. She seemed comfortable following her usual routines and slept on the bed with me at night. She adored her chin scratches and being brushed. She is independent and was able to communicate her needs by meaowing in a sweet way for instance when she wanted a pat. She was born with a wonky tail which adds to her quirky charm! The home was very clean, beautifully furnished and comfortable. Jodie made me feel very welcome and left me some treats in the fridge. I loved this housesit and it's a shame Jodie is moving house shortly as the open rural countryside views to the north and the wide variety of birds visiting or seen and heard in the trees and gardens nearby around Bexhill was astounding! I'd love to sit and care for Mee any time in the future if our dates align.
I wish there were a six star option for Mercedes and Martin; this is one of my top sits! I was fortunate to enjoy a month in the company of Tango, Billy, Frodo and Filikos who, like their owners, are super friendly and easy-going! Caring for these cats is a breeze! Feeding requires minimal effort given they eat the same thing morning and evening, with a snack in between and are a bit flexible on the timing. Their litter is of the best biodegradable, clumping kind which makes life easy! I chose to check their trays often, removing the clumps several times a day, although I was not required to. They are all entirely indoor cats but they have a lot of space to play in, windows to sit at, and cushions to sleep on! They are very well looked-after and show little to no interest in leaving their plush environment to venture outside! This was a comfort to me when I would leave them for part of the day to go to work, knowing that they were content in their space and with each other's company. Whilst they were very happy to play together on their own, they were always eager to join in on a game or two with me. And there were plenty of toys to choose from: their favourites were the fishing rods and balls which they loved to chase and catch. When they had exhausted themselves, Filikos and Tango would take turns curling up on my lap while I sat on the couch or lay in bed reading one of the many wonderful books from Mercedes and Martin's collection. The flat itself is a comfortable and relaxing space. It is light and airy, tastefully-decorated and comes with all the mod-cons. It is warm in winter and I should imagine cool in summer. The best thing about it is its location in a quiet mews, a mere four minute walk from Kensington Olympia Station and only a few minutes from High Street Kensington. I felt very safe in the flat and slept well at night. The cats were mostly very considerate and would only wake me up a few minutes before I was due to get up anyway! As for Mercedes and Martin - what a breath of fresh air! I never once felt I had to provide them with constant updates as I knew they truly wanted to be on holiday and that they trusted me to get on with looking after their cats. I felt completely at home in their space. Thank you, Mercedes and Martin, for your generosity and kindess. I do hope to be back! I would 100 % recommend this sit!
Trevor and Irene had to cancel their trip. However, they still let us stay with them in their beautiful home. We had the best Florida experience we could ever ask for. We did plenty of things and Trevor and Irene showed us around. We eventually had so much fun together! A big thank you to Trevor and Irene for this amazing and perfect stay. Their house is beautiful and clean. Louis and James are absolutely adorable. James is always chilling in his chair in the Lanai, while Louis is exploring the garden and on the hunt for frogs. We fell in love with them! 5 star petsit - 5 stars for Trevor and Irene and 5 stars for James and Louis. We hope to be back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
James and Liv are awesome humans BUT their fur children Dante, Alice and big bad David are the coolest! The dogs are total cuddle buddies and they listen so well. I enjoyed this sit and hope to be asked to sit again!
Carin and her family are wonderful! I was able to meet everyone before the sit, to go over the routine and tour their AMAZING house! They are so kind and welcoming. Their house is spectacular! The attention to detail throughout the entire house did not go unnoticed. I was truly in awe of all of it. The property is gorgeous, views from every window of the house. I can’t decide which I enjoyed more, the sunsets or the sunrises. Their pets- Stout, she is a lover, sweetest personality and always looking for a belly rub. She loves her time outside basking in the sun and searching for the perfect stick to munch. Skipperdee, what a funny little girl! She loves to run and play. Her favourite thing is to wrestle with Stout. She is a such sweetheart! They both are super sweet with kids. Easy to have outside without leashes. I loved our daily walks around the property. They are both just happy to be with you. The sheep are always eager to greet you, they are super easy to care for, and a beautiful sight to see. This sit was a wonderful treat for my family. Carin is extremely easy to communicate with and quick to answer any and all questions. This place is as special as the family that owns it. I cannot say enough about their kindness.
Cam & Gwen invited me to stay the night before they left and their hospitality was stellar. I had flown from London that day, then drove from Halifax (2.5 - 3 hrs) so I was ready to relax. When I got there I was greeted by wiggly bums Reba and Dyna and Cam & Gwen had a delious dinner on the go. The home is spotless and the location is absolutely stunning. Dyna and Reba have wonderful manners and love to fetch and have a good swim in the lake afterwards. Watching them swim after ducks & loons and watching Dyna fishing never gets old. The cats, Tabby and Max are sweet & easy to care for as well. Tabby was instantly friendly, and it only took a few days for Max to take the job of lap warmer. There are so many places to walk the dogs or you can just sit and enjoy the lakefront. This sit was an oaisis for me, a much needed, relaxing & comfortable stay. I will really miss Reba, Dyna (although she is a bed hog), Tabby & Max and I am grateful to Cam & Gwen for their welcoming hospitality & their trust. They also invited me to stay over the night they returned (I've never had that on a sit before), but unfortunately I made other plans. I would recommend this sit and be happy to return.
