This sit is phenomenal not only because of the location but because of the gracious hosts. Their home is warm and inviting and we felt as if we were visiting family. Hugo, their dog (and now a special place in our hearts) a delight and a joyful walking companion. We highly recommend this sit and we have fingers crossed for a repeat.
We sitted three weeks for Marlis. Before we moved in, we had a handover the afternoon before, where we clarified everything. Marlis is a very open and supportive person, who welcomed us warmly. She has a lovely house in Kleinmachnow, close to Potsdam, a few steps away from the town hall square, where you can find every kind of store you need, which is very convenient. It was the first time for the two cats, Louis and Lisa, to be sitted by Housesitters. Therefore they needed some time to adjust, but after one week everyone was feeling comfortable. Lisa is very curious and likes to play a lot. Louis is rather shy and jumpy, but when he is in a cuddly mood, he enjoys every stroke. We enjoyed our time in Kleinmachnow a lot and would definitely recommend it :)
Jeremy and Bea are the most lovely couple, with a wonderful family and perfect pets. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know them all and staying in their fabulous home. Wookie and Plume are easygoing and great company (whenever they're not napping). The automatic feeders make caring from them a breeze and it's always good fun playing - the toys, string and laser pointer ensure everyone involved stays entertained! Kara - wow. Where do we start? She is such a special, gentle and loving dog who brings joy into the lives of all who are lucky enough to meet her. We miss her so much and often reminisce about our time together, looking through the hundreds of photos we took on our adventures. We hope to be back on the island one day and there is nowhere we'd rather stay, so hopefully the stars align and we are able to spend more time with Kara and the gang. For any other sitters, this is the perfect place if you like dogs, cats and the outdoors!
Allie and Brad were wonderful hosts and our sitting experience with sweet Maddy was phenomenal. Their home is gorgeous and the surrounding area has something for every travel taste--from wineries to outdoor activities to excellent restaurants. Allie and Brad were very welcoming and organized and we thoroughly enjoyed our sit.
Looking after Alfie, Rosie and Poppy was wonderful. They're the sweetest little dogs who just want to be loved and cuddled. We got the warmest welcome on the day we arrived and were given clear and concise instructions which took some pressure off! The area of Bookham was amazing, we ran a different trail every single day we were there and absolutely loved it! All in all it was a great week with the cutest company!
Rebecca and Jonathan are incredibly sweet and it is hard not to fall in head over heels for Mops! Their house is super cute and right next to some great trails.
