Dog Sitters in Foggy Bottom, DC

Maya took better care of my home and cat than I do! I was so happy to come home to a sparkling clean home and a groomed (!!) and happy kitty. I would gladly have Maya stay again anytime.

Armando is a charming young man who cared for our home and Little Monster. He kindly agreed to sleep in the single room for his short stay to avoid us having to change linens, etc., on the morning we were leaving, which was very much appreciated. We had a lovely meal out the evening that he arrived. His caring nature filled us with confidence to leave him in our home with our precious LM. Little Monster was delighted to share his bed with Armando. He was very chilled on our return, but he concerned Armando by staying out much later than usual. Armando did the right thing and checked if this was normal. We received regular photos and updates. LM and ourselves highly recommend Armando. It was his first sit, but he is a natural and handled our requests for LM and the Hogs. We hope to welcome him back again in the future.

Meghan and Elle were fantastic sitters and anyone would be lucky to have them! Meghan’s communication was perfect from start to finish, she was flexible and reliable. I know she and Elle took great care of our active, sometimes challenging dog, and left the house very clean! I also appreciated the photos she sent me throughout the stay keeping me updated with my pup. I hope to have them back.

I was really hoping for a smooth experience with Duncan's pet care, and while Duncan seems like a nice person, there were several issues when I returned home that I feel need to be addressed. First, I explicitly stated that I did not want guests in my home, but my neighbor—who, while being a bit nosey, is generally helpful—mentioned that Duncan had someone over without my knowledge. This was quite concerning, as respecting my home and rules is important to me. Secondly, the cleanliness of the kitchen was not up to par. When I returned, I found sticky substances on the counters, around the sink, and residue left on the stove. Additionally, two pots stored in the cabinet were stained with what appeared to be the same food residue that was on the stove – one was my cast iron skillet. Cleanliness is a basic expectation when providing care, and this left me disappointed. The most disturbing issue, however, was the handling of the litter box. I had to throw away my broom and dustpan because they had been used to clean up cat waste that didn’t make it into the LitterBot because it was stuck in a cycle. It was clear that one of my cats was forced to relieve themselves outside of the litter box, and the way this was dealt with was unacceptable. Finally, Duncan notified me of a broken doorknob, which I had to report to maintenance. I later found out that it appeared to have been pulled off rather than being worn down by normal use as I assumed when I received the text. While I’m not sure how this happened, it was just another frustrating issue on top of everything else. I'm generally not picky and try to be understanding, but these problems left me disappointed with the care provided. I hope Duncan takes this feedback constructively and improves these areas for future clients.

Danae is what this platform is about. She is absolutely wonderful: reliable, kind, considerate, communicative. She took excellent care of my cat and of my home, and i felt at peace knowing they were in good hands. Thank you Danae! 😍 Please come again!

Abbie was exactly the petsitter we were searching for. Our dog is really sweet but can be reactive sometimes, and our cats crave lots of attention. She had experience with dogs and cats and definitely proved to take amazing care of all three of our animals without any issues. We communicated very easily before our trip and she read all of our notes too. We got lots of updates just as we asked while away, which made me feel so much better. We returned to our pets happy and our house in great shape!

Catherine took such good care of my dog. They went on neighborhood adventures and Catherine shared photos of all the fun places they went. I could tell from her interaction with my dog, that she is indeed a pet lover. I had no doubt that my dog was in excellent, capable and loving hands. Catherine rolled with the punches as I had a few unexpected contractors (who were due to complete their work the week prior to Catherine's arrival...but did not) in and outside my home. She handled the situations and we communicated throughout. I would LOVE to have Catherine come back and stay with my dog, and I know my dog misses her already. She keeps checking out the front door to see if Catherine is back. I highly recommend Catherine as a zeewoi!

Betty was amazing sitting for our three fur-babies. She was in communication just the right amount, was super warm and friendly throughout, and we'd definitely recommend her and would welcome her back to our home anytime!

After a great phone interview we knew Frank & Sharon were the perfect couple for our Mia & Ty pet sit. Communication was pristine. Frank & Sharon are engaging to talk with and understood our particulars regarding our furr babies & home. While away Frank & Sharon did have to utilize our vet and quickly managed the care & new medication. We received daily text with photos of fun outings and home engagement. The care Mia & Ty received was superior and our home well respected. We enjoyed our vacation knowing all was taken care of. No hesitation in recommending Frank & Sharon to take care of every detail.
