We spent 6 weeks at this lovely location in the hills on the edge of Brisbane. Though the house/property are in a quiet, rural setting, there is a city bus (10 minute drive from the house) that goes directly into downtown Brisbane and/or past a very large shopping mall. This made it easy to explore and attend events in the city. There are also city bike paths, easily accessed in a 15 minute drive from the house.

We loved the busy mix of pets and the opportunities to be outside so much on the big porch. The pets were super friendly and were fun to get to know. We appreciated the privacy of staying in the sunny pool house with the open air windows without screens. The property allowed us to swim, play tennis, use the gym equipment and keep active with long walks and hikes up the driveway hills.

We were lucky the hosts had the flexibility to welcome us a few days early to get to know the routines of the animals, get to know the hosts and learn a bit about the property and 'neighbourhood' before we were on our own.

We liked learning to use the 2 driving lawn mowers to cut the grass on this large property. We even had the opportunity to learn about and practice making fancy Australian coffees at the house to accompany our fresh eggs from the chickens. Thank you to the hosts for their patience and time showing us around and freedom to use their tools for lawn maintenance while they were gone during the summer months.

The hosts were quick to reply to messages before and during the house-sit. They answered our questions about their pets whenever needed while they were away. Most of all, we will always remember the kindness, generosity and laid-back nature of this lovely family (and their pets).

Lola is the sweetest kitty! She loved pets and plays and slept in bed with us most nights. We had a wonderful time with her and exploring the area. There is tons to do and see nearby and their home is lovely with a wonderful sunroom.

We really enjoyed our time in Pleasanton with Luna. Deb was a wonderful host, had a great welcome guide and communicated very well. Her home is beautiful and was very clean. It is a great location with hiking, restaurants and delicious ice cream nearby. Our favorite part was Luna. She is a gorgeous dog and so loving. She loves to cuddle and be next to you and once she is used to you she will be your best friend. She loves her walks, toys and cuddles and is very well behaved. We already miss her!

We (Christina, Tobias & our dog Fiora) spent 9 wonderful days with Helena and Randy's chocolate labrador Toby (Toblerone) in the French part of Switzerland.

We got to know Helena and Randy as warm, positive and generous people: they took a lot of time to explain all the important information about Toby and the house to us (we arrived one day before their departure for vacation). This made us feel safe and allowed us to get to know Toby in peace. Helena and Randy were also kind enough to leave some food in the fridge for us. Thank you very much! It was just a pleasure to meet them.

Toby is a friendly, good-natured and hungry Labrador. He loves to be in company and is happy to have animal and human playmates :)
We took him outside two or three times a day. Even longer hikes or walks through the city are no problem: Toby is always happy when you take him somewhere.

The house is situated on the hills above the small town of Gimel. From there you can see the French Alps (including Mont Blanc) and part of Lake Geneva. It's very rural and quiet there, which we enjoyed (you need a car to get around).

It was a great week for us, we felt very appreciated by Helena, Randy and Toby! Thank you very much for the wonderful time!

A wonderful place to stay! Oreo is a dream to look after with my children preferring to take him for a walk rather than go into London to sightsee. The house is beautiful and in an excellent location for the tube or the Brixton markets.

Eugene haa a great personality and is an easygoing companion. Often ready for cuddles and little game of hide and seek. Luna was a great host and we had a good dialogue before and during my stay. They are a wonderful couple and have a cozy and colourful place right in the centre of it all. Truly unique and I can only hope to get so lucky to sit again.
