Juliet and Laurent were very reliable and quick to respond. I enjoyed photos of my cats Juliet sent to me everyday. Thank you! Also they cleaned my house and changed my sheets before they left so it was really nice to come home to clean house.
Oakley is an awesome companion. He quickly bonded with us. It was too hot for daily walks, however he was happy if you played catch with him and his toys. He obeys commands to go out before bedtime and is very low maintenance. The host provided a comfortable environment and given the extreme heat, the host even went the extra step to provide additional cooling devices. Cristin could easily achieve a 5-star rating by improving communication. More fully completing the Welcome Guide would eliminate the need for a long string of text messaging. The initial handoff was awkward given that the host departed for her travel before we arrived. We struggled a bit locating things in the house, e.g. thermostat and WiFi password. These things are easily addressed. With improved communication this could be a great sit.
I absolutely loved and enjoyed looking after little Rosie. She is the sweetest, funny, fun and loving personality that will make you feel always in the good mood. Great family too, very welcoming and kind. I would definitely go back to look after Rosie again. The area is also lovely, quiet and safe with easy connection to London.
Why was this one of my favorite sits ever? Let me count the ways! (with apologies for my feedback being so late) When I arrived for the sit, Sue welcomed me warmly and introduced me to "B," her lively black cat. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first entered her idyllic log cabin. It's the iconic Maine lakeside camp, with a Murphy bed in the living room, knotty pine walls and exposed beams. A porch with rocking chairs looks out over the pond mere steps away. Sue walked me through each room of the cabin, including the loft (just be careful of the steep stairs and hold on to the banister)and gave me a thorough orientation. She also gave me a tour of the lovingly tended flower beds and hanging plants surrounding the cabin. The stargazer lilies were especially striking, and she placed an arrangement of these on a table by a large front window. During her time away, she always responded quickly to any questions I had. B, the animal spirit of her place, exhibited such glee while racing up to the rafters and dancing over them. He provided continual entertainment and delighted me with his athletic antics. If you have a chance to apply for this sit, don't hesitate to do so. I will miss hearing the haunting call of the loons, seeing B's face peering down on me from high above, and the beauty and tranquility of this cabin. I will gladly come back again and certainly hope to!
I feel so lucky to have spent time at the farmhouse with the animals and beautiful landscape views. Rosie is an amazing and inspiring woman surrounded by great family and pets. Communication was great and Rosie was so kind to host me and help plan my travels. I will miss Poppy & Aisha making me laugh with their high energy and individual personalities, Tango cuddling in for a snooze, the chickens running across the field to greet me, and collecting many beautiful peacock feathers. Even with all the animals I found it very peaceful being there and loved exploring the area. I highly recommend this housesit experience and really hope I can return one day.
The best most lovely experience in the most gorgeous house with the most fabulous and generous hosts ever!! I LOVED it and would be honored to go back any time. If you have the opportunity ....GO! The only problem is I was spoiled by this sit ;) Anne and Richard are the best!!
I had a lovely sit with Nali! She’s a great trail buddy and a sweet little cuddler. She does have some separation anxiety but Janelle lays out her method for helping with that. The condo was clean and quiet and central to Victor and the local activities. Nali and I enjoyed many hikes in the Big Hole mountains nearby. I live on the Wyoming side of the Tetons and it was a nice change of pace to care for Nali in Victor. Janelle had prompt and efficient communication. Thanks!
