We cannot express enough our gratitude for Leslie! She was incredibly sweet, responsive, attentive, caring, and took such wonderful care of our little ones and home. She made us feel so comfortable and relieved knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We highly recommend Leslie for any pet or house sitting opportunities! :)
We had a lovely sit at Janet and John's comfortable countryside home. They were very hospitable and it was lovely to meet them and share a meal with them when we arrived the night before they left for their trip. Lottie and Jessie are absolute sweethearts and a joy to take care of. Lottie will follow you around the house and just likes to be near you! They love their walks, and there are lots of beautiful paths and country walks in and around Chipping Campden. I recommend the circular walk to Dover's hill for nice views. Lottie and Jessie do tend to pull on the leash on walks (especially if you come across particular dogs on your walks), and can be pretty strong, so that's just something to be aware of for less experienced dog sitters/dog walkers. The home is equipped with everything you'll need. And communication with Janet was clear and easy. This is a fantastic sit for those who would like a taste of countryside living, those who enjoy countryside walks and a chance to visit the beautiful Cotswolds.I'd enthusiastically recommend this sit!
Angela and her dogs Zuzu and Bailey are wonderful! I had the pleasure of watching her dogs and her lovely home, and it was a delightful experience. The dogs were fun to be around and were easy to take care of, which made my pet-sitting responsibilities a joy. The icing on the cake was the stunning pool at the house. It provided the perfect oasis for relaxation and fun during my stay. The house itself was comfortable as well. I appreciate Angela’s kindness as well. I’m grateful that she allowed my friends to come use the pool as well. Overall, it was a wonderful pet-sitting experience, thanks to the charming dogs and the fantastic home I had the privilege of looking after.
We had such a wonderful stay at Jo's home, looking after sweet little Sam. Although a bit timid at first, Sam quickly warmed up to us and by the end of our stay had become quite the cuddle bug! He is full of energy, zooming around the house and loves to play with his many toys, but loves his naptime equally. He would greet us every morning and is full of personality and love. We both miss him dearly! Jo was an excellent host, she welcomed us for dinner the night before and took her time in showing us how everything worked, leaving clear instructions and emergency contact no.s should we need them. The house itself was beautiful, spacious and clean and the bed was so comfortable. We were made to feel at home and had a relaxing stay. We enjoyed having our tea sitting in the garden, which looks out onto a lovely field where you can spot deer, hares and geese as they fly over. The village of Crondall is surrounded by fields and peaceful countryside walks. The nearby town of Farnham is also well worth a visit! You will find that there are endless adventures to be had and Jo had helpfully compiled a long list of activities to suit various interests. It was such a pleasure to housesit for Sam and Jo and we really look forward to visiting again some time!
We loved taking care of Emmie and Trip! Emmie is so cute and friendly, great dog. She likes a walk every day and pets and backscratches scattered throughout the day but is a very mellow dog. Trip is amazing, he is very independent, likes to hang around outside most of the day after his morning feeding. But when he is inside and after he gets to know you, appreciates ear rubs and attention. Elaine is always available to answer questions and it was great to be out in the countryside. Very comfortable guest quarters. Would love to petsit here again!
A lively, loving crew of kitties in a bright, spacious home! This was a great sit from beginning to end! Nate & I had a video chat with Lauren & Kevin a few months prior to the sit, where we got to “meet” the cats, see the home and get to know each other. I happened to be sitting near Yardley a few weeks before the sit, so I also got to have an in-person orientation with Lauren, which was thorough and so helpful. Lauren & Kevin’s home is large, spacious and gets amazing natural light. It was decluttered and clean both on my orientation and when I arrived - I felt very at ease moving in. They also have a beautiful dedicated Guest Room, with a totally empty dresser & closet, which was great for us to unpack all our clothes and things. We always appreciate space to unpack! There is also a spacious Guest Bath which was immaculate & prepared with extras like soap, floss and small items that made it feel like a hotel stay. They have a large, spacious kitchen which we used multiple times to cook meals in and loved. I work from home and used the grand dining room table as my workspace all week, where often Phoebe and Spinni would keep me company. The living room has sky lights and gets wonderful light all day - we enjoyed reading and movies in that room often. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty - we took walks various times and enjoyed the scenery. The cats were a wonderful crew to get to know over the course of the 2 week sit! We truly loved getting to know their personalities! -Phoebe is the youngest ragdoll kitty and is still very kitten-like - she follows us around the house, cuddles and will just sit by your feet if you’re working in the kitchen. She can also be sassy and loves to instigate play with her siblings! I will miss her terribly!! -Spinni is just a love bug and from eye contact a room away, will plop down belly up for tummy rubs and loving! She is a curious, bright, warm and friendly kitty who also enjoys cuddingly and being nearby most of the time. -Porkchop lives up to his name and is mostly interested in food, but he also plays a lot with Phoebe mostly. He is the most “cat” cat in that he will dart away from you often in the beginning, is quite skittish, but over the course of time, he realized that we were quite chill and he eventually relaxed a lot to the point where we could walk by him and he wouldn’t budge - that was a small victory! He hides a lot of the day in one of his spots, but will definitely appear for food & treats! -Kero is the sweetest, gentle boy. I called him The Monk because he moves deliberately, is pretty quiet overall and seems like an old soul. He took time to warm also, but by the end of the sit, he was rubbing up against my legs daily and asking for affection, which made me happy. He is a mild mannered, quiet boy who loves his cubby spaces! The crew were easy to care for in that they had 1 main feeding per day and another “lunchtime” snack plus treats. ¾ have autofeeders, so you pick up the routine of where they each eat, and it’s all peaceful from there. They get along with each other just fine and they kept me wonderful company! The fish were also a breeze. I only had to turn on the lamp in 1 aquarium and feed the guppies in another. Lauren had the main aquarium set to filter & feed automatically, which worked well. Yardley is a lovely, spacious suburban area. We hiked in Tyler State Park during this trip, which we would love to return to and try more trails. If you want a quiet, lovely spot to stay within driving of Phila, NY or artsy, small town spots like New Hope or Lambertville, the Yardley area is a great place to stay. Thank you Lauren & Kevin and your family for a wonderful sit experience and for lending your loving kitty crew to us for 2 weeks. We’d be more than happy to sit for you all again! -KS & Nate
What a great housesit. Daniela was a wonderful host, getting us some local craft beer and a really nice bag of coffee as a welcome gift. Her house was very cozy and comfortable. Also Tio and Carla (her kitties) were so easy to care for. Tio was very lovable, and Carla a little shy, but all in all they were awesome. Also Daniela was very communicative before, during and after our stay and bent over backwards to make us comfortable . Nevada City is an amazingly quaint California Gold Rush town and the people are very friendly and helpful. We loved it. Thanks Daniela, we highly recommend this housesit if it becomes available in the future.
