Inevitably the sad part of a house-sit is saying good-bye to beloved little companions that have way too easily gained access to your heart. Blue and Billie are loving, affectionate, cheeky little monkeys, that are adept at wrapping you around their little pinkies :)
There is a power dynamic at play, in my experience by Billie over Blue, that needs boundaries drawn for Billie early on - my experience was mostly competition for affection, so I was very mindful of Billie's endearing attempts to monopolise me as the surrogate human, by letting her know that Billie will always get equal attention to her, no matter her brilliant attempts to sway me otherwise.
They are joyful in walks with excellent recall off lead. They know & enjoy their well worn paths around Port Meadow.
Jessie, the super sweet, diddy little feline is a delight. Have never met such a low maintenance yet charming cat.
Their mum & dad,Thea & Steven (although I'm guessing Steven won't approve of such anthropomorphic language) made me feel welcome in their comfortable, charming home. Thea was thorough in providing behaviour background for her 2 girls, should Billie's attempted coups play out during your sit.
Thank you for a happy stay x
(ps I also include Darek in this, the builder, with whom I enjoyed an interesting & thoughtful conversation at the end of my stay).

Krissy has a genuine nice soul. From our very first video introduction months before our sit, we knew this was going to be a fun relationship. Her love for life is evident in her home, with her dogs and with her family that just lives a few houses down. It was just a total joy to be brought in and be a part of it all.

These three active dogs are rescue dogs and have been blessed to have found their way to Krissy's sanctuary. As with any rescue dog, they do have their insecurities, but they also want to be loved and a part of your daily activity. Inkka is the lover of the bunch. She wants to be wherever the group is and with whomever is willing to pet her first. Her ears will melt your heart. Zalo is papa dog. He wants to let you know that he is around, but on his time and terms. He will also let you know with his subtle nose movements of where to pet him and definitely when to keep going or when he's done. The others know that he's king, but they also want his attention as well. Zaavi is the wildcard. One on one, he wants to be loved on as much as possible and craves it. But when in a group setting of either people or even his canine friends he is much more anxious and shy. He will pop in every so often just to check things out, but will stay more to himself.

Krissy is great with communication even from the other side of the world and is always so positive. Her family lives just up the street and are just as warming and helpful as she is. Definitely a great family.

We would love to come back sometime when the weather is more cooperative and we can do more outdoor adventures with the hounds.

Linda
It was an absolute joy Housesitting for Linda. She was extremely organised with a very comprehensive welcome guide and I was greeted with a gorgeous welcome hamper that was very unexpected and generous.

The house is beautiful with amazing views and Gypsy the cat was so friendly and companionable. Jedi was a little shy but I managed to sneak in a few pets. He makes the most adorable peeping noises.

Highly recommended!

It was a pleasure looking after Sonny, who is an incredibly sweet and kind little bundle of fluff. Jools and Jimmy were very generous and made me feel completely welcome and comfortable in their beautiful home. They left clear instructions and made sure I had everything that Sonny and I needed so it was all very straightforward and easy.

Sitting for Shawnie was great! Venus and Mars are the absolute cutest and yes I miss them already. Their bond is so interesting to watch and I can tell that they love each other so much. Venus warmed up to me right away and Mars maybe took a couple hours. Both of their schedules are pretty straightforward and it was easy to follow. Shawnie was very responsive whenever I needed anything or had questions. I would definitely recommend this sit when visiting Mexico City.

If you think this place looks whimsical in photos, it's thrice as much in reality. Even for a couple days I felt like I was staying in a fairytale home with magic hidden in every corner.

Luna was of course a big joy bringer - she is frankly the most gentle creature I've met.
Her presence is immensely calming; cuddling with her in the evenings and mornings was so therapeutic for me. She really helped me slow down, relax and feel extra comfortable.
Louise is just as kind and sweet, easy to talk to and very accommodating!
