Jeff and Karen are the absolute best! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I feel extremely lucky that they were available to watch our dogs while we were away for 3 weeks! My pup Stevie is pretty timid and scared of new things/people, so I was extremely nervous to leave on a long trip (especially after things did not go as planned with my last sitter). Stevie warmed up to both of them right away and didn't seem to care at all when we left. They are such a sweet and attentive couple...I guess you can say they are animal whisperers in a way. They took both of our pups on daily walks, played with them, loved on them, and provided regular updates/ pictures. My house was cleaner than when I left and all the plants survived too :) I can't recommend them enough!
A fantastic experience caring for two sweet puppers in a lovely, peaceful location. Ayla and Jack were both fantastic hosts and very generous. Great with communication and always on hand to answer any questions. We would 100% sit for them again!

The opportunity to be in this country area very near to Spokane turned out to be a really enjoyable and event filled time. We had the best time at Becky's family home looking after the gorgeous Jess. She is a super cuddly, playful and friendly dog. The local common is an excellent place to walk Jess and also lots of other London Parks either a bus or train away (including Central London) and Jess travels very well on public transport. Jess is incredibly friendly and easy to look after and we are already missing her cuddles. Becky's family were welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. The home has everything you need and communication was perfect. Highly recommend to future sitters and we hope to see them and Jess again in the future.
Nick and Caroline are very lovely and welcomed me into their home and neighbourhood. Lara was a delight to look after while they were away, exploring the gorgeous surrounds on our walks. She is very well behaved, loves to play and go on walks, and cuddles too of course. Their home is idyllic with peaceful gardens, we were blessed with heaps of sun, and lots of birds popping by for a visit too. Well equipped with everything you could need, very informative hosts, it was a pleasure to house sit for Nick, Caroline and Lara.
Porto would not have been the same without this beautiful family! Angela, João, and Archi were behind wonderful-hospitable, kind, and professional. I felt Angela's love through her food and genuine interaction. I enjoyed getting to know them, even as they toured me around Porto. Their abode is lovely and welcoming with any needed comforts. And Archi is a HOOT! So playful, snuggly, and warm-hearted. He loves our walks and sleeping with humans, which I was more than excited to do. He just wants to be with people and is unabashed about it. I could not have asked for better people to stay connected with or a better sit. So much love to this family! <3 <3 <3
Merlin is the coolest cat! he’s such a pleasure to take care of and he is such a easy-going and friendly personality. he loves to be petted like a dog foes😍 We had such an awesome time with him.  Tina and Rewi were very responsive, helpful pet owners and their home had a really special artistic charm to it, which she really enjoyed.

Starr and Chris are Toby and Mina's home away from home. I am no sooner driving by Brookdale Lodge and they know where they are going and get excited!! Starr and Chris have been a lifesaver for me in last minute needs, as well as a peace of mind so I can relax on long vacations. What a better place for my pups to be where they have a yard to run around with new dog friends. All the cuddles and love at night inside the house.
This place was so wonderful. Up until this point I had always taken my little guy Charlie to be boarded at a kennel and felt really bad for doing so. Starr and her family were wonderful. She sent me photos and updates and was incredibly understanding of the fact that he is a rescue boston terrier with a ton of energy. I read another review that stated she and her family treat dogs like family and they really do. It was such a comfort to know he had other dogs to play with, human company, and a comfy bed to curl up in at night. Many thanks to her and the wonderful service I received.
Starr and Chris are a Godsend! I have a 22lb, 15 year old, blind, deaf, special needs dog who is also currently dealing with severe separation anxiety after the passing of his original caretaker of 11 years, followed by a cross-country move. Starr and Chris babied him better than I do, which I didn't think was possible. Starr literally carried him everywhere, so much so that he didn't even need his leash during his stay. They administered his eye drops, ear drops, and antibiotic perfectly. They kept him clean, warm, and most of all, loved by the whole family. Starr even sent me photos and updates, and let me know he was eating and took his meds. I am so, so grateful I found them and will absolutely be back anytime I have to go out of town again. Starr and Chris have given me such peace of mind that my baby will be taken care of. I feel comfortable going out of town because I found them to care for my little old boy. Thank you so so so much Starr & Chris.
My 13 year old pup loves it here. She was timid at first and they knew that and gave her the attention and love she needed and now she is acclimated and happy. They are a cool, sweet family and treat the dogs like family when they are there. The yard is clean and awesome. All good over here at Brooktails!!!!! ❤️👍🐶 Oh, oh plus they send pics when I’m at work of her playing. They make me smile when I get them
Our two dogs had such a great time with Starr and her family. They have a great backyard where dogs can have plenty of time outside playing and zooming with their friends. Starr and Chris were very careful and nice with our dogs, sending plenty of photos, giving me daily updates. I would definitely recommend this family if you want your dog being well treated and part of a family. My dogs went back home happy! Thanks again!
My dog Sherman had the best of care at Starr's. He was an older model with special needs and Starr took the very best care of him. I relish the photos and videos she took during the years he spent with her. Even now Starr sends me photos and videos as she comes across them. He was always so happy there. I highly recommend this business. Starr is truly a dog whisperer.
We had Pippin with Starr and Chris for 4 days - and he had a rocking good time there. He was well cared for, and Chris and Starr sent us pictures showing him settling in with his new friends. Awesome place ! Lovely large yard for dogs to do what dogs do ! Will definitely bring Pippin back here when we go on our next trip.
Our 7 month old beagle stayed for 4 nights and had a great time making new friends and playing to her heart’s content. Starr and Chris are very personable and accommodating! You can tell that they love what they’re doing!! We would definitely book with them again!!
Star and her family are wonderful! Rosie is a nervous dog and Star and Chris just made her feel so comfortable! Rosie loves playing in the backyard with all the other dogs! Chris and Starr did a fantastic job watching our German shepherd for 9 days. She came home happy and tired from playing. They sent us photos and updates constantly. It's clear they truly love the animals in their care. Will absolutely trust them with our dog again in the future.
**Warning to Pet Owners: Disappointing Experience with Bianca's Pet Sitting Service** We entrusted Bianca with the care of our beloved white Labrador, Khaleesi, for two months. During the first month, everything seemed to be going well. We received updates with pictures and videos, and Khaleesi appeared to be in good hands. However, things took a devastating turn when, out of nowhere, we received a message informing us that Bianca’s dog, Cece—a 2-year-old pit bull—had attacked Khaleesi. The attack was serious, resulting in Khaleesi needing stitches in both her face and leg. As pet owners, receiving this message while being so far away was one of the worst experiences of our lives. Khaleesi’s health and safety were our top priority, and we were extremely worried for her well-being. To Bianca’s credit, she did take excellent care of Khaleesi while she was recovering. But after the incident, we couldn’t shake our fear of having Khaleesi stay in the same house as Cece. We ultimately made the difficult decision to have my brother-in-law drive from Los Angeles to Santa Cruz to bring Khaleesi home for the remainder of her stay. In our conversations with Bianca, she mentioned that she was considering rehoming Cece due to the risks associated with having a dog who could be aggressive toward other pets. This made sense to us at the time, given her role as a pet sitter and the fact that she regularly has other animals in her home. However, it now seems that Bianca has changed her mind and decided to keep Cece despite the clear dangers this poses to other pets. While Bianca is a genuinely sweet person, we feel it is incredibly irresponsible for her to continue operating her pet-sitting business with a potentially dangerous dog in her household. As pet owners, our primary concern is the safety of our animals, and this situation has left us with a lasting sense of worry and unease. I’m sharing this review to make sure other pet owners are aware of the risks involved when entrusting their pets to Bianca’s care. While she may be wonderful with most animals, we cannot recommend her services given the presence of her aggressive pit bull.
Bianca, Cici and their family are excellent hosts to our dog anytime we need daycare or boarding. Her flexibility and trustworthiness are only a couple of the reasons we like to use them. Our dog flies out of the car every time we drop him off because it is his favorite place to go. We always have peace of mind when leaving our dog with them and nothing is more important than that!
I recently stumbled upon Bianca and her incredible BB's Dog Paradise, and let me tell you, I hit the jackpot! From the moment I found her, I knew my fur babies were in for a treat. Recently started daycare here for my new rescue pup, and glad I found Bianca - she quickly gave me confidence that my dog is in good hands, has a great setup with lots of secure space for dogs to play, and clearly is very knowledgeable about dog behavior. After a day with Bianca and the other dogs in daycare, my pup is happy and tired.
Truly a paradise for pampered pups! Introductions with house dogs or other client dogs are well managed, no cages here, at worst a few tie-outs but only while pups are getting used to the rules and the property. BB herself is very friendly and knowledgable, would 100% reccommend!

My Labrador, Lucy, absolutely loves Camp Happy Tails!! The staff instills confidence, is knowledgeable and truly cares about each dog. The natural atmosphere on a mountain side has got to be a blast for Lucy! To top it off, on site grooming with lots of extra care makes this one of my favorite places For Lucy.
Lisa and her team are the nicest, most competent and loving dog caretakers. I always trust that my pup is in good hands. I have used her services for years and will always keep coming back to camp because I appreciate the quality care.
I dog sit regularly for someone who brought their dog here when I wasn’t available. They put an E collar on her dog while he was there and didn’t tell her until she picked him up. They claim he barked constantly but I’ve never had this issue int he two years I’ve watched this dog. Even at the beginning. In my opinion, you would at least call to get permission OR call with that update. Not wait until the dog is picked up and put it into the notes section of his stay. Poor service in my opinion.
Great place to leave your dog for a governor or daycare. They deliver and pick up your dog too which makes it way convenient! If your dog needs socialization with people or other dogs, this is the perfect place to send them! Trust worthy staff and great play area in the beautiful redwoods of Felton. I highly recommend camp happy tails for your dog!
I just want to take a minute say that Camp Happy Tails has been great. Lisa has been awesome as well as Courtney. Our little guy (not so little anymore) comes home so happy and worn out. And it's great how they post pictures on Facebook! Couldn't be happier to send our pup there!
Happy Tails is great! We have boarded our dogs there a few times and they love it. No cages and lots if play time with the other dogs. Highly recommend

I was looking for day care for my 1 year old pup and was able to find Jackie through google. She was able to take him 5 days a week, full time, which was what me and my boyfriend were looking for. The meet and greet was great. She really wanted to make my pup feel comfortable. As the days went by, my pup was super excited each morning to see Jackie. She keeps us posted with our pup throughout the day and is extremely reliable! Would recommend to anyone trying to board or day care.
We meet Jackie over a year ago at puppy training. We were looking for someone to board our golden retriever puppy for a weekend. Our Lola was well taken care of and had a blast socializing with other dogs. She now goes 3 days a week for doggie daycare. She looks forward to seeing Jackie and her pups. Jackie goes above and beyond to make sure every dog gets the attention they need through out the day 💛
Jackie (of Precious Paws) is amazing. We adopted a sweet but stubborn half-grown pup, and Jackie has worked hard to teach our dog some manners. Our dog loves going to see Jackie every day, because she’s given tasks to do, but also treated with love. Jackie has made a world of difference!
I boarded my 10 month old GSD puppy with Jackie for 5 days and I was extremely happy with how well she cared for my dog. I received daily updates and pictures of my pup and that really helped me since it was my first time away from him. Due to snow storms my flight was cancelled and I couldnt make it back in time for the pickup. Jackie went above and beyond to help board my dog for an extra night. I just wanted to share how much I love Precious Paws. My original dog sitter canceled on me at the last minute when I was ALREADY out of town and I called Jackie from Precious Paws who came through for me in a big way. Not only did she come pick him up and watched him until I came back in town, but she sent me updates that included pictures and just text messages that just left me know that he is in great hands and from the looks of things he made himself really comfortable on the couch. This is the exact kind care I was looking for. I didn't want to put him in a place where he was going to be another dog in a cage. I wanted him to have fun minus me and my son and that is exactly what I got. I am so happy with the care and will be back there for services again.

Jackie is amazing. She is very responsive and flexible. I started going to her after looking for a dog sitter that was closer to my home. She is much more than a dog sitter. Her dog training experience and loving nature elevates her services. Recently, I went on a trip far away and Jackie was only able to watch my dog for a portion of the time I was gone. After I was not able to find other options, she offered to take care of him and drop him off at the second boarding place. She also fed him white rice and boiled chicken when his stool was too soft. Even though she does not take dogs with soft stool she cared for mine as if he were her own. Thank you Jackie. I'm only sad that I'm moving soon and won't be able to see you much longer.

Deanna has been walking my pup for 2 years now. She has been amazing with her and always keeps us up to date with what is going on during the walks. I love that twice a week I get a pic of my pup while I'm working, especially when I'm travelling and away from the family.
Hands down the best place for my dog. The staff are so warm and caring, even staff members I haven't met before greet my dog by name and seem to know who he plays with and how his days go. I have a very intense, extremely high energy, easily bored, destructive puppy. In a previous daycare (equally warm staff, but less staff members present and no toys/equipment for playing), my dog would come home tired but his manners would deteriorate after his time there. Sometimes he'd play a little too rough with other dogs and often he would smell bad. I believe this was due to poor supervision (dogs urinating and it not being cleaned promptly, unsupervised play getting too wild and rough). My dog has as good (or better) manners after going to Downtown Dogs and this was evident after his first week there. I work a lot and really appreciate that there is a place to bring my puppy where he gets to play, interact with other dogs and humans, and just be himself and thrive. I also appreciate that all the work I put into his training doesn't go out the window when I leave him at DD. They also offer a lot of a la carte activities, treats, playtime, etc. and sign up for these and regular services is really easy (online, by phone or email, or sign up sheet in lobby). Can't express how grateful I am to have found DD and that they love my dog so much!
Super care givers and handlers. Our dog is happy to go and happy when we pick him up. We love the one on one activities and being able to look in on the streaming video. Go Amber and Jackie, Clipper loves ya, and so do we!
My pup absolutely loves it here! I don't have to worry about him when he's here; I know he's having a good time and, as a bonus, he comes home exhausted. Everyone on staff is super friendly and responsible. They provide honest feedback about your pup, both good and bad. Additionally, they meticulously keep track of everything your pup needs, including food, treats and enrichment activities. They also ensure that my dog doesn’t get overstimulated by giving him enough breaks during the day. Their evaluation process gives me confidence that my pup will get to play with dogs of similar temperament and won't get bullied.
10/10 would recommend this facility! I was incredibly nervous leaving my dog in the care of someone who wasn’t me, but the employees here made me feel comfortable doing so. They are all kind and clearly love dogs. I love that I am able to check in on her through their live webcams, as well as having the option of “pupdates”, where they text you pictures/videos throughout the day. They have so many enrichment options to choose from to add something a little special to your dog’s day, which I always choose! My dog has gone here a few times and each time she is excited to go in and greet the workers/other dogs. I still get nervous leaving her, but knowing that she is genuinely being looked after/cared for makes me feel a little bit better. Definitely check this facility out if you are considering doggie day care!!
Downtown Dogs offers great enrichment activities and weekly treats that pet parents can choose from. My boy is never bored when he’s there. The great staff really get to know the dogs and best of all they really like the dogs who are in their care.
we love the staff and facility at DD! Our dog loves it here soooo much. We are never concerned leaving him when we go on trips. We know he is safe and taken care of and the little add ons of activities, treats, play time, and photo shoots make the experience that much better and cuter. 10/10 we love our DD family
Both San jose and Palo Alto locations are great. The staff is friendly and always doing special events for the dogs. I appreciate that your dog will also learn how to play well with other dogs and can practice other skills like obedience and agility.
This is a gem of a dog care facility. The staff are truly amazing. Their understanding and patience with Bernard’s quirks, like his playful habit of going through legs or his less charming moments of mounting, have been great and they handle correcting behaviors well. Bernie has been a regular for a few years now and absolutely adores his daycare and overnight stays. Whether it’s for a day or a week, I recommend this place!
We absolutely love this place. From the first time that we brought our 11 week old to a puppy social here, we knew we had found an awesome group of people that we could trust. They are usually booked for daycare 3 days out and extended overnight boarding needs a month or more notice. We've been coming here for a year and a half now and every Thursday Artemis gets super excited and bounces off the garage door hoping to get to go for the day. The webcams are clutch and let parents watch how much fun our furbabies are having without us! This week we went through another puppysitting agency and we thought we were going to be ok being out of town for a week. Boy were we wrong. Even though we had introduced Artemis to the sitter beforehand and they seemed to get along, the sitter just couldn't get Artemis to trust her. It took a neighbor and their pup coming over to get her to feel safe enough to be leashed. Fast forward to a repeat of the situation the next day at the sitter's place. We were out of town and there was absolutely nothing we could do. Artemis was stressed and didn't feel safe, so was the sitter! Downtown Dogs really came through for us. Even though they were already fully booked, they listened to our situation and agreed that they were the safest place for Artemis to be, so they took her in! I am soooo glad that we had been bringing her here for soo long! Artemis is in a happy place where she knows and loves everyone and she gets to play with her pupfriends.
They require canine influenza vaccine that requires 2 rounds of shots 3 weeks apart that other boarding places do not. They also require a meet & greet interview and 4 daycare visits before you can board with them. They didn't tell me this on the phone or through our email conversations until after I already paid for the shots and went through the hassle of going to the vet twice. Then they passive aggressively suggested it was my fault for not knowing this because they list their requirements somewhere on their website as if I'm going to read the entire thing before boarding with them. My dogs and I have been very happy with Wag Hotels for years so I'm going back to them even though it's further away.
Our dog is our life, and we couldn't even begin to plan our vacation until I knew he would be taken care of. Laure and Vince are the absolute BEST! Everything about Camp Cardinale is top notch, and not once was I ever concerned about our dogs well-being. Many pictures throughout the day, activities, walks, and most importantly for our water dog, a beautiful swimming pool. Casey is amazing! The level of care she gives to our pooch each time she takes care of him is unbelievable. She always goes way above and beyond what we would ‘normally’ expect, and her clear and detailed texts after walks give us extreme comfort that all is ok. More, Casey’s level of professionalism is unparalleled. Monte recently went through a significant health issue - and there is no way he (or we) would have gotten through it without her. We seriously can’t recommend her enough.
