We recently had Cat housesit for us while we were out of the country, and she was a fantastic pet, house, and plant-sitter. Many housesitters manage 2 of 3, but very few go 3 for 3! We returned to a spotless home, with plants looking healthy and watered (we have a TON of plants), and most important – three very contented animals. Our dog was really sad to see her go! My husband and I also enjoyed getting to know Cat before and after our trip and cannot recommend her highly enough! We would welcome her back anytime.

Katy was a relief for us to have. She came in ahead of time to meet everyone and was very communicative leading up to our trip. My dad was helping out for the first half, so I couldn't be sure what Katy was walking into, but she took it all in stride and reassured us that all was well. She made some best-judgment calls where things were fuzzy, and we got pictures every day of our babies, which was the highlight of our days. She also left the house very clean for when we got home and our plants BLOOMING. We can't say how much we appreciated her help and would love to have her again.

Kiva and Gail were awesome house and pet sitters! They took great care of my home and my dog, and sent me daily updates. They were organized, timely, and thorough in their communication before the house sit. I would definitely hire them again, and recommend them to others!

They asked all the right questions and followed all instructions to a tee. They are SIMPLY THE BEST! When I returned from my nearly 3 week overseas trip, I came home to two very happy dogs who were happy to see me, yes, but immediately jumped back into Kris & Shaun’s laps for continued pets and snuggles. It was obvious my girls adored them, and I sensed Kris & Shaun had formed a bond with them as well, as their good-byes were heartfelt. Thank goodness Kris & Shaun will be returning in a few weeks for a repeat sit. This is the highest compliment/review we can give to each other! See you soon!

We had the pleasure of hosting Jolana recently and she went above and beyond to make sure our dog Sawyer was taken care of. A cancelled flight resulted in us returning home a full day later than expected, and Jolana graciously accommodated the change and made sure everything was taken care of until we got home. We really appreciate her flexibility and would be happy to have her back anytime!

Nurana & Bayram

Nurana and Bayram stayed in our home while we traveled out of the country - and there was no shortage of updates and photos of our girls! We could tell our dogs were very happy to be in their care. Just before their arrival, Nurana and Bayram’s flight got cancelled, but they were willing to hop on a very early flight the next day to get to the dogs ASAP. It worked out, although we were not able to meet them because of this. We were grateful for their care of our pups as well as our plants. Would certainly recommend!

Laura was wonderful! She was meticulous in her planning, asked detailed and caring questions, and I immediately felt very confident that Finan and Rhys would be in the best possible care while I was out of town. Laura and I overlapped on her first night, which afforded us the opportunity to have a great conversation. I cannot recommend highly enough having Laura as a zeewoi extraordinaire! Communication, attention to detail, enjoying the quirks of my feline boys: five stars in all of these areas.

Couldn't have asked for a better sitter! Morgan is an extremely kind human who we hope to have pet and house sit for us again some day. Our dogs adored her and we loved the daily update photos she sent us of their adventures while we were on our trip. Morgan was prompt, organized, and asked great follow up questions in order to be prepared for her sit. Our house was left spotlessly cleaned upon our return and the dogs were in very good spirits. I honestly wish I could give more stars. Our pups were so happy with Sam for 2 weeks! She left our home spotless and a note next to a bouquet of flowers. She was great to talk with and put me at ease since this was our first time having someone we didn’t know stay in our home and care for our pups. Andrea, who is a lovely person and excellent communicator, expertly rose to the occassion of caring for our Schnauzer and three alpacas. All our family members (the animals) were well cared for and obviously loved on, and our home was clean and tidy upon our return. Wow! This was our very first housesit on TrustedHousesitters and we fear we've been spoiled with this incredible experience!! We didn't expect to fall so totally head over heels in love with Eddie ... but she stole our hearts. She has such a sweet personality - so fun to play with and snuggle! Very affectionate. She loved walking us around her neighbourhood, showing us her routes and sights. Tom and Janice were excellent, providing clear instructions on everything when we arrived and offering open communication during our stay. The gardens were gorgeous and a joy to tend - The house is clean and comfortable, in a really wonderful neighbourhood. We're already planning to come back for a future sit as one time with Eddie just wasn't enough! So grateful for this experience.

Just back from another great sit. 

Caroline has a lovely home in a beautiful part of the world, Painswick. She had very thoughtfully provided some goodies for us, which meant that we were able to enjoy our first day without needing to shop, and she had made sure that our room would be a really comfortable place for us during our stay. It was clear that Caroline wanted us to feel very much at home during our stay – and we did.

Monty and Piggy are great cats – so much floof! They are playful and inquisitive, and, over the course of the sit, gradually warmed to us more and more. Piggy was quite quickly happy to be stroked, and allow use of his grooming brush, while Monty took a little longer – I think the strictly rationed treats may have helped! Both have great purrs, and it was lovely to have their company. Monty, possibly hopeful of food but always disappointed, nevertheless would sit alongside us at breakfast, where we enjoyed the fabulous view across the rooftops and across to the hills; later on, Piggy would keep us company on the sofa of an evening. 

Thanks so much for having us, it was a pleasure to sit for you. We hope to meet again!

We came to housesit for Catherine and Frank for a month in July and we had a great time with Rua (cat), Whisp and Percy (dogs) and the hens.  Rua is very independent, stays indoors and very easy to look after.  She has some highly entertaining times with Percy for who rules the house! Whisp and Percy are older and love bounding around the garden or the field next door. They have a great veg garden and polytunnel, which just needed some light weeding and watering in the hot weather. Their garden is magic and there are loads of spots around the garden to sit and relax or enjoy reading a book from their extensive collection. The house is a lovely mix of cosy traditional Irish farmhouse with a modern extension that has a bright Scandinavian feel. A housesitter would definitely need a car, it's about 10 minutes to Fermoy shops, there are lots of woodland walks around, and the city is only half an hour away, so it was a really great location.  Catherine and Frank were easy-going, always contactable and generous hosts.  They are great company too and we hope to housesit for them again in the future!

Niki

I absolutely loved housesitting Bishop in Taos! He’s a sweet older dog with happy puppy energy and he just wants to hang out and chase his ball. Although I did not meet Niki and family, they were lovely and welcoming and made sure I had what I needed. Taos is gorgeous and made for a peaceful place to stay for a month. I would definitely go back and housesit Bishop again.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Jane for this adorable experience. Communication was smooth, friendly and easy. The expectations were well written, and clearly communicated. The fur babies were so loving and well behaved and I could not be more fond of the kitten, Aoife and Billie the dog. I was in tears when it was time to say goodbye. The home is gorgeous and I felt very much at peace here. I very highly recommend this sit.
