A dream sit. Tara and David are incredibly welcoming and friendly - they showed us everything we needed to know about the house, and even left us a very tasty home-cooked meal for our first night. Baloo and Buckley are lovely dogs, super well behaved, affectionate and easy to walk - especially if you are happy to play plenty of ball! They were a joy to look after. We miss them already (and the fresh eggs from the chickens!) Thanks again for a fabulous sit.
We thoroughly recommend this Housesit and give Katherine and Squeeze 5 stars, they made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. We enjoyed our first evening chatting over wine and pizza with Katherine on her back porch. The next morning Katherine drove us around Daniel Island so we could familiarize ourselves before she departed. It is a delightful place to live, walking trails, swimming pool and restaurants. A ferry service takes you over to downtown Charleston. We also drove 20 minutes to Sullivan’s Island a small seaside town which has pristine beach and restaurants. Squeeze is a joy to look after, she is very affectionate, loves sitting with you, being brushed and greets you with meows immediately you meet her. Katherine is a kind, generous and interesting lady and it was a delight to stay an extra night with her on her return. Sitters have use of the second floor bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting area so you are never in each other’s way. She is very organized and communication before and during sit make it so easy. We would love to housesit again and thank Katherine for her hospitality and will definitely keep in touch. Thank you, Lynn and Kenny.
Coco is adorable, super sweet and quite shy. The home is cute, well-located near transportation and Sabrina is a very responsive communicator. The Christmas tree and decorations were the perfect touch.
Ziggy and Woof are lovely dogs who like cuddles. Woof sometimes likes to sleep on the bed, which wasn't a problem at all, but he will get down (without complaining) if you ask him. The area is fantastic! Apart from being only a few mins walk from Hampstead Heath, there are several small cafes, restaurants and delis in the area. Lisa and family are lovely and easy going.
We had such a lovely time at Marianne's and were lucky enough to meet the family and Kiki before our sit. They live next to several parks, near town, and also a reserve which is perfect for taking Miss Kiki out and about. Marianne was really thorough and showed us the ropes on all things Kiki --which was very valuable and helpful for our sit, allowing us to fold in relatively quickly! Kiki is the sweetest, cutest energetic ball of fluff. Walks, play, and cuddles are her love language and she can do them all with gusto. I think it's mentioned that she is trepidous with men, but after a short while of patience and consistency, she warmed up to Nick and ended up preferring him over me! Her motto is "Play Hard. Snuggle Hard." - Kiki. Thank you so much for trusting us with sweet Kiki! She's SO cute and we enjoyed our stay in your lovely home! Keep in touch!
Little Weston is located down a narrow country lane, in beautiful Somerset, the location peaceful, quiet, with hardly any light pollution or traffic. Alice and James live in a wonderful home, with a large kitchen with an Arga, a middle room, and two comfortable lounges with open log fires. It is a work in progress as they make this wonderful house their family home. It is a warm, welcoming, atmospheric and comfortable home where you will feel at ease immediately. We received a lovely welcome and were shown around the house, gardens and field where the sheep and chickens live. Upstairs, we had a lovely and comfortable bedroom, with the use of a bathroom and a walk in shower room. Molly and Milly are amazingly entertaining and loving fur babies. Absolutely delightful welcome each morning when you awake, ready, and desperate to play. I think they prefer to play rather and eat their breakfast. They will play fetch in the garden endlessly, and when you take them for a walk, they will walk by you on the lead, and when you let them off to race around, they come back when called. Molly will climb up on the sofa and stay whilst you watch TV and stroke her. Milly will only stay for a while, then goes to her bean bag, or to her bed. Make sure you don't leave your shoes around, as one of them (i think Molly) helped herself to two of my sandals, from two different pairs. She likes to nibble and daily wants to playfight when she likes a bit of rough play. The two chickens potter around all day making cute little sounds to each other. They followed Mark around constantly, even in to the kitchen. We quickly shooed them out though but they made us giggle. Two eggs are laid each day and it was an experience to hold warm, freshly laid eggs each day, the colour and flavour second to none. Walking Milly and Molly around the field, the sheep are inquisitive and come to say hello. Whilst Milly isn't overly excited to play with them, Molly can't resist tempting them to chase her. Another fun thing to see. There are no shops locally, so a car is necessary so make sure you plan your menu for your stay and shop well. Alice has a large stock of herbs and spices and told us to help ourselves to anything left in the fridge, and to the tomatoes and runner beans growing in the garden, which we did. Very tasty. There is a large selection of cookware and plenty of crockery and cutlery. There are some lovely walks in this part of the world, climbing the mount which is visible from the house gives way to spectacular views, and there is an easier walk to a lovely pub called the Camelot Inn. Milly and Molly will show you the way lol. We had the best Sunday Lunch ever in a pub called the Mildmay Arms, about a 5 minute drive away. On the patio is a large table and chairs, a very comfortable sofa and arm chairs and a BBQ. There is also a quiet seat for one under a tree, and a large bench in the top field, so you can catch the rays all day somewhere. This home is a wonderful house sit for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. There is nothing to disturb you. You can potter around and play nudist if you like and no one can see you. I would very much recommend this sit for those who love to play with fur babies and want peace and tranquility. What more could you ask for. Alice, a huge thank you for accepting us to look after your home and animals. I know we hadn't even done one sit when we applied and your faith and trust in us as strangers is deeply appreciated. We had the best time
