Helen looked after the house and Hashi impeccably. She updated us on an issue with the garden furniture cover and sorted it before our return. The house was immaculately clean and Helen had striped the bedding and already loaded it into the washing machine. Hashi had obviously received all of the attention and fuss that she needed while we were away and was completely chilled on our return. We would go gladly welcome Helen to sit again.

A nightmare!! Bad experiences like the one with Zhanna, remind you of the fundamentals of an agreement that is based on trust, respect and welcome in your temple, which is your house and your intimacy: your home. After multiple very positive experiences, grateful and marvelous people, Zhanna arrived with no empathy from the very beginning. When she arrives, I imagine, she expected an apartment with concierge, a car for her, air conditioner and room service. Without sensitivity or respect, she questioned my home, she asked me the car, air conditioner, and she was from the first minute criticizing my home and making me feel bad, insecure about my things, asking me to call the cleaning service for her and to pay them (the house was ok, not brilliant but honestly, it was quite good!) responding to my messages only with criticism and monosyllables, when I was thousands of kilometers away. After a few days of lack of communication and several of these messages there was an unpleasant discussion, in which she screamed me for 10 minutes and again criticized my home and me. When eventually asked her to please go away, she said she was not going to leave, and she wouldn't leave unless I paid for her the return plane ticket, which was illegal and nonsensical. A completely unbalanced trade-off for letting her have a big apartment in the centre of Florence for 25 days in exchange for watering the plants every two days and taking care of a cat. I asked her to leave yesterday before 6 pm and she did not. After that, at 7 pm, two friends of mine went in my house and gently invited her to leave it, so she did it, not easily. I was going to call the authorities but, God bless, it was not necessary. As I started, that was a nightmare. Never ever call her, that is my advice. I think she did not understood anything about what kind of exchange and experience is that, that is my honest opinion.
We had a wonderful stay in Brecon looking after Scarlett for Tina and Tim. Tina's communication was great in the lead up to, and during our stay. They welcomed us to their home with a delicious meal the evening before their departure, and Tina was also able to show us Scarlett's favourite walking route from the house. Scarlett was a delight to look after, very friendly and enthusiastic to go walking with us. We would be more than happy to look after Scarlett again and explore more of the beautiful Brecon Beacons with her.
