Five stars isn't enough to describe how I feel about Karen and Mike, the are tens for sure. Communication with Karen from the start was great and we were quite a few months away from the sit but as the date drew closer it was apparent Karen was going to be a great fit and was happy for her that her husband was able to join her on her six hour+ drive to my home. I was panicked as they were on their way, my cable and wifi went down and this was a my home only issue. My pleas to my provider only got a technician coming out two days later. Thankfully with all their southern charm, they were understanding and reassured me all that mattered was they were flexible and easy and would have a great time there with my girl Tillie. We had a great meal together and I showed them around the expansive Villages. What an awesome couple, who are pet people and foster cats. My Tillie was sitting on Karen's lap (rather than mine) while enjoying our evening together. They got up early with my daughter and I as we left. Karen sent me lovely pictures of Tillie's interactions and how she enjoyed sitting on the lanai with Mike each morning while he did his crossword. As I mentioned, communicaiton was very good. Karen let me know bright and early Sunday that Comcast replaced my Amplifier which had given out (common issue she was told), so by their second day everything was back up and I was so relieved. As a HO and sitter, I know how important wifi is to many of us. Without a doubt, Karen took care of Tillie AND my home as if it were hers. I told Karen she could leave early the day my cruise returned and we had texts that morning as we had a few stops before home. When I did get home, my house was perfect. She also left a gorgeous bouquet of flowers in the most unusal vase that blew me away. I thought I did nice things for my hosts, but I will have to step up my game. In addition, Mike replaced the weather stripping on Tillies cat door insert and Karen replaced my hair dryer that died that was beyond my expectations. I've probably been too wordy here, but I could go on and on about this loving couple. I know Karen is starting out on this journey but if she applies to sit for you, grab her and consider yourself lucky. She is awesome and so is her husband if he comes too.
