Kathy & Lou are wonderfully accommodating and informative hosts! They invited me over a day early before their departure to join them for dinner. This allowed enough time for us to become acquainted and go over all the information to ensure that the sit would go smoothly. Additionally, Kathy gave me a recommended list of places to visit and activities to do during my stay. I did everything she suggested and enjoyed myself immensely! Goldie and Mimi are sweethearts. Goldie is very communicative, especially about her meals, and enjoys lap time. Mimi is a little stand-offish at first but welcomes morning brushes and chin scratches. Mimi is also a master at hide & seek. (Look under the blankets if you can not find her.) I highly recommend sitting Goldie & Mimi for Lou & Kathy and would definitely sit for them again if given the opportunity!
Stephen and I had a fabulous time at George and Marion's-it was just a wonderful experience. The cats are so lovely-part human really. Oscar is friendly and fluffy and likes company-he also liks a second breakfast ;) Finn is a bit more aloof but enjoys his food and will sit close to you when he feels like it. They are just no trouble and a real delight to be with. The house is amazing-totally organised and very little to do. The garden is beautiful and of course the jacuzzi is wonderful to relax in and enjoy the peace and quiet and listen to the birds. George and Marion are both such delightful people-we were so fortunate we awere able to stay a few extra days after the sit and we had such a good time doing the virtual reality and helping with the Christmas decorations-which were very numerous and amazing! Both George and Marion are excellent cooks so we were totally spoilt with some gorgeous meals. We really think of them as wonderful friends and are so glad we were lucky enough to be chosen to sit for them. So we would highly recommended them as much as possible, and we hope we can sit there again in the future. We are sure we will keep in touch with them anyway and see them soon. Thanks so much for having us there :)
Paul, Ben and Badger were so lovely! The communication was great and I felt like I had everything I needed for the stay. Badger is such a sweet and calm dog. He's great on the lead, listens well and was a joy to take care of. Ben and Paul's place is beautiful and located in such a nice part of Brighton! Bring an extra set of warm clothes if you run cold like me 😅 because the apartment is on the chillier side, but overall had a great experience and would highly recommend!
Blue is delightful, very sweet and easy to care for. Claire's home is very comfortable, spacious, light and stylish, with a beautiful garden. It's in an amazing location with views onto mature woods, which are directly accessible for walks, and from there into Richmond Park. Claire was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She gave us clear information about how to care for Blue and kept in touch with us during the sit. We would love to return and see them both again, highly recommended.
