Valerie and David were due to house sit for us in June 2020 but that was cancelled due to Covid19 but happily for us they were able to come over a couple of months later when we went back to the UK to see the family. We knew immediately that we were leaving the cats and our garden in safe hands and we were not disappointed. The cats (and the hedgehogs in the garden) were clearly very happy and well cared for and we received regular e mail updates and photos. As for the vegetable garden Val and David were wonderful. It was very hot and dry for the whole month so they had a lot of watering to do. They also picked all the vegetables and what they did not eat they preserved for us. We came back to a freezer full of frozen vegs and they had also made chutney and tomato passata. We could not have asked for more. We were happy to spend an evening together with Val and David the day they arrived and again when we got home, when we were welcomed home with cold beers and wine and supper cooked by David. I warmly recommend these house sitters and we would be very happy to welcome them back here.
Hannah was amazing caring for our home and our two pups. From our first meet to arriving when she said she would, we were impressed by Hannah and had no qualms turning our babies over to her. She checked in with photos daily and gave us updates on how the girls were doing. One of our dogs is quite shy and Hannah won her over to the point of cuddling and playing together! Our house was so clean when we arrived home, it was like a professional cleaner had been there. We don’t hesitate to recommend Hannah and would hope she can stay with our pups the next time we travel.
