They were able to administer medication with ease, and at one point they noticed a change in Gucci's well-being and communicated with me immediately and we sorted it together. Their communication was excellent, providing regular updates that put our minds at ease while we were away. Their ability to follow instructions, especially when it came to preparing Gucci’s homemade meals twice a week, was impressive and appreciated. It’s clear from their interaction with Gucci that they have a high 'Animal IQ,' understanding her behavior changes and body language, which truly set them apart as exceptional sitters. Their extensive experience with animals was evident and gave us peace of mind knowing Gucci was in their care. What made Adam and Veronica’s sit particularly special was their work-from-home situation, ensuring Gucci enjoyed constant companionship, similar to what she's used to. They were not just sitters passing through; they became a part of Gucci’s life, providing her with the love and attention she’s accustomed to. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the exceptional care and love Adam and Veronica showed Gucci. She will miss them dearly.
Scout is a smart, sweet dog and a joy to take for a walk. She is curious yet kind and calm around other dogs. The home was very tidy with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
I had so many wonderful cuddles with Lucy and Padme! Who could not fall for these two love bugs? My short stay was perfect with them. and the location is great-in walking distance of trails and downtown Boulder! Great! Emails and texts between myself and Kaitlin made for a smooth stay, just sorry not to meet her and Mark in person. Hopefully next time.
I had a wonderful time in Pollack Pines!! Larry and Cheryl were the perfect hosts. They let me arrive the evening before, took me out to dinner, and welcomed me to stay the night in their guest room. This gave me a chance to become familiar with their routines and go over everything so I felt comfortable there on my own. Neena is the friendliest dog, and very easy to care for. The location of the house is perfect!! There is a wooded park directly across the (quiet) street in front of their house, and a lake only a 5 min drive from the house. I found a food co-op 20 mins away in Placerville where I was able to get affordable groceries, and Safeway is real close by if you don't want to drive that far. The hot tub was sooo nice to enjoy in the evenings, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed I slept in was so comfy! I even got to befriend Henry the cat!! So it is doable, if you work at it. He is just skittish. By the end of the trip I was getting all the cuddles and it was such a perfect end to my vacation!! So happy I booked this sit, feels like how they all should be. I would absolutely stay again. Thank you for making my CA trip a memorable experience!
The house has a lot of warm, homey character and substance, and is a convenient distance to the city centre. Zoe and Zack, their two beautiful cats soon became very friendly and were easy to care for and loved their cuddles. All shops and restaurants were walkable from the house and there is also a regular train/metro service nearby. All in all, it was a lovely house sit, and we would highly recommend staying here with Zack & Zoe. Thanks so much, Chris and Nicole, and we hope to see you all again soon!
Looking after Finlay was an absolute treat for us! He is a well-trained, fun and sweet dog that is a joy to be around. When you stroke him, he would put his paw on you to touch you back. This is one of the many many things we loved about Fin! As you might be able to tell, we fell in love with Finlay very quickly! He responds well to commands, he comes back when you call him, he is friendly and calm around other dogs on our walks. Even on rainy days, walking with Fin was never a chore. He just brings so much joy and love to everyone that's around him. Sue and Paul's home was exactly as the pictures - comfortable, beautiful, clean and with a stunning garden. Sue and Paul are very kind, hosting us for dinner the night before so we can get to know Finlay before we were on our own. This was super helpful because we knew exactly what Fin needed and liked. We were also very clear and easy to follow instructions written down in a folder that we could refer to during the week. We would love to look after friendly Finlay again and we would wholeheartedly recommend others to Housesit for them!
