We meet Dave and Ruth the day before they flew out to show us the ropes with the dogs and the cottage. They made us feel at home instantly and we felt like we’d known them forever. Macro’s cottage was stunning, a true English treasure, and Frank and Mary were an absolute delight to look after. We fell in love with them instantly! We had the best time at the cottage and exploring the local area. If you get an opportunity to look after Frank and Mary, we could not recommend more! We were very sad to leave but have no doubt we’ll see Dave and Ruth again! Thank you so much again for having us!
We had such a great time in Shadow's company in Berlin – thank you for having us, Jenn, Kevin and Shadow! Shadow lives with his humans in a remarkably quiet yet central apartment in Schöneberg. There are many cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as supermarkets. It's just a few steps to the S-Bahn, which takes you to all of Berlin's sights in no time. Jenn and Kevin were very easy to communicate with, and we loved the handwritten instructions from Jenn! Of course, Shadow was the main protagonist. He is adorable, funny, very well-behaved and loves to snuggle. Most of all though, he LOVES his food!! This was definitely a 5-star house sit! Highly recommended!
Lara is very laid back and the communication was super easy and smooth from the very beginning, which is always nice. She left the key for me, shared a guide and informed me where all Oscar’s toys were. Clear and stress free, which is great! Oscar is a very sweet kitten. He was there when I opened the door and let me pet him right away. It didn’t take me long to realise how playful he was, he would do a little wiggle and launch himself at me from every corner, which was very entertaining, and I quickly realised that his claws were never out, he just liked turning everything into play. I really enjoyed spending time with him, running around and teasing him while he was in his little cardboard house. He gave me a lot of giggles. The apartment itself is also very nice and the location is perfect, in the best part of Vesterbro. I would happily come back and sit for Lara again :)
It was a pleasure pet-sitting for Eric. His two cats, Boimler and Mariner, were enjoyable companions for the duration of my stay. I am fairly sure I was the first or one of the first sitters to spend a significant amount of time with them, so they were shy at first. But they quickly warmed up to me, and were not only a breeze to take care of, but a joy to be around. They are a playful, cute pair. The apartment itself is cozy, spacious, and in a great location. (Washington Heights has so much to offer visitors). And the owner, Eric, is super-friendly and communicative. He's also an excellent brewer to boot. I very much enjoyed this sit and would like to return and do so again in the future.
