Our house sit looking after Runner was a complete pleasure. We had dinner with Niall and Karen the night before they went away which made us feel at ease in their home, and was lovely to get to know them. Runner is an independent wee fella, but given the time (and some ham ha) he may warm up to you. Some days we were his best friends and other days he didn’t want to know us, he can be very vocal and will let you know exactly what he wants! He is very easy to look after and a real pleasure to be around. Karen left exceptionally detailed instructions for the house, and for Runners routine so the whole experience was smooth and enjoyable. The area has much to offer, being only a train ride from London and located by a network of country walks so you enjoy the best of both worlds! There a plenty of great food, coffee and wine options if that’s what you fancy. If you work from home like I often do, the house is well equipped with good wifi and plenty of work space options. Can highly recommend housesitting for Runner and would definitely do it again given the opportunity. Thank you to Karen, Niall and Runner for welcoming us into their home.

If you love to be outdoors, Igloo is THE perfect companion! Unbeatable family, beautiful location, numerous trails from the doorstep, and the best tour guide named Igloo. It was so tough to say goodbye but I truly believe I’ll be back again someday! Thank you for everything! ❤️
Jennie and Stephen are wonderful people and were tremendously kind to us. We had everything we needed and way more during our sit. They really went out of their way to make sure we have a great time! Layla was a delight, too! She is such a sweet and clever girl and we are glad to have been able to look after her. You can have lots of fun playing ball with her or hide and seek (she is really good at that!). She can get anxious when she's on her own though so it's best to have her close to you. The house and the location are really beautiful and very close to the beach. We will definitely miss everyone and we'll try to stay in touch!
Had a great stay at Terhi's lovely home! I felt right at home in the comfortable and clean space. Barnacle and Lucy were the sweetest cats and were playful, affectionate and easy to care for! Home felt safe, is very close to the freeway and street parking was right out front and always available. I would recommend a sit at Terhi's home w/ Barnacle and Lucy and would not hesitate to a future sit!
Condo location is close to a nice beach & many tourist shops & restaurants. This is a great sit for a beach enthusiast who is planning to spend most/all of their time on the beach or exploring Nazare (depending on the weather, of course). Nori & Voodoo are friendly cats who need a lot of attention. They like to jump in your lap if you sit down on a sofa or on kitchen counters/table during your meal prep & food intake (by the way, they can jump pretty high & knock things off the shelves as well). A sitter needs to be comfortable with a strong smell inside the unit & opening sliding doors to the balcony for fresh air is not recommended, as cats are rather curious ☺️ & may try to venture out ☺️ even through the lowered external blinds.
