I had a great time sitting for the sweet dog Paris in Gary & Yvonne’s beautiful home. Gary & Yvonne left a lovely gift basket and the house was clean and welcoming. The home is actually even nicer than in the photos. It’s really spacious and super comfortable and in the perfect location, walking distance from everything so a dream for a DC visit. Paris is a super sweet older dog who loves to meander around the neighborhood but has energy for long walks, too. Some tips: she is happiest when you give her choices when walking since she knows where she likes to go so best to let her pick the direction :). Otherwise she is super easy and fun to walk and friendly with other dogs and people. She is pretty persuasive about getting her walks so I recommend doing 3 walks at set times so you can plan your work if you work from the house or she’ll look at you with those sweet eyes and beg for a walk while you’re in the middle of something :). She is very well behaved though and when I didn’t at first know her patterns I messaged Gary a lot of questions and he was great at answering right away. If you’re heading to DC this is a wonderful sit and you’ll miss Paris when you go :).
Upon arrival Katy made us feel very welcome and served delicious dinner. She explained clearly, the requirements for the house and for her our house companion namely Blue. She has gone the extra mile to make it comfortable for our stay. Our stay was pleasant and overall was a very nice sit. We enjoyed our time - caring for the big puppy. Blue is a intelligent puppy and despite his size he is very playful and cuddly. The scenic beach and lovely town was relaxing, the area is perfect for dog walking.
What a wonderful sit! If you enjoy peace and tranquility of nature this is the sit for you. This location is great for walking, riding bikes and walking the beach. I was able to meet Maureen and Steve before they left for there trip. Maureen gave me a tour of the home and introduced me to her sweet boys Ferris and Mackie. Maureens description in the profile and welcome guide is very accurate and helpful for caring for the boys. Ferris was friendly right away and Mackie was more comfortable the next day. We had playtime later in the day when the boys are more active. They also seemed to enjoy being brushed when they were ready. I knew when they plopped down and showed there belly for a rub they were content. Thank you Maureen and Steve for being such gracious host and I hope it works out to sit for Ferris and Mackie in the future.
