Sitting for Sunny and Luna when they were just a few months old was such an incredibly memorable experience for us. We absolutely loved playing with these beautiful, high-energy Bengal kittens. They are incredibly affectionate and would jump on our laps with their "purr motor" running at full speed. They have endless energy and LOVE to play enthusiastically with laser pointers, fishing rod toys, or even a scrap of paper around the house. Donald was super easy to work with. He has a great personality and sense of humor, is an excellent communicator, and always made us feel well-supported even though he traveled half-way around the world. Donald's home is a truly amazing zen-inspired estate complete with stunning views, beautiful artwork, and amenities galore. The home exuded peace and warmth, and we were perfectly comfortable during our stay. We were awestruck by the natural beauty of his property and well-designed, 2-mile private hiking trail. Also, cooking was a breeze with such a great kitchen design and well equipped pantry. Durango is an outdoor lover's dream and only a short, 15 mile drive west. The nearby San Juan mountains are absolutely stunning. It has been such a perfect place for these Florida natives to experience Colorado's incredible natural beauty. As mountain bikers, we truly appreciated all the awesome trail systems including Horse Gulch, Twin Buttes, Overhand Park ("Test Track"), and Log Chutes. If you venture further west, Phil's World in Cortez and the Aqueduct in Mancos are totally worth the drive. Words cannot describe how incredibly special sitting for Sunny and Luna has been. We are honored Donald entrusted us with their care. We made sure to give them all the love and attention they deserve while there, and we would come back in a heartbeat. We could not recommend this sit more 🐱💗🐱
WOW! This is one of our favorite sits to date, we’re grateful to Lisa for choosing us to care for Lucali and her home. Lucali is a kind soul who loves companionship above all else. He enjoys deep eye contact, being brushed, the opportunity to give you licks and to assist you in the kitchen as much as possible. He is very responsive to chatter, often following behind you to observe what you’re doing and content to know you’re near by. He will be greatly missed as he made our experience very memorable. I’ll miss his headbutts and forehead licks while lounging on the couch together. Lisa is wonderful host and communicator. She was thoughtful, making sure we were equipped with all the information we needed upon arrival and during our stay. She left us necessities such as umbrellas, maps, lint rollers in case they were needed, as well as a Swiss basket of goodies to welcome us. Her home (and Zug)is just as described and was the ultimate place to relax with Lucali on the terrace in the morning and evenings to take in the lake view. We felt truly at home and in rhythm with Lucali, as is we were home with our own cat Bodhi. If given the chance we’d come back in a heartbeat given the unique and serene experience.
Sitting for Cam was an absolute joy! He is quite a character — his tongue sticks out a lot of the time and he likes to fight with the vacuum cleaner. He has no teeth so love bites were welcome. He will wake you at 5 or 6am for breakfast, but does not ask for food the rest of the day until dinner time. He lets you pet him a bit and will sleep at your feet 😻. On his medication days, he willingly takes his meds and enjoys his Churu treat. Alexa was a wonderful, helpful, appreciative, and communicative host, and of course the neighborhood is incredible, with Columbus Circle, Central Park, and Times Square easy walking distance away. Grocery stores (Whole Foods and the Westerly) and restaurants galore are also minutes away. I can’t recommend this sit highly enough. I feel lucky to have been chosen and would love to come back again!
Our stay at Jim and Cynthia's place was fantastic! Ginger was elsewhere for this stay, so we had the pleasure of watching sweet Noelle. We have been on many stays and Noelle was hands down the biggest sweetheart we've had the pleasure of sitting. We brought our 3 year old golden, Margie and those two got along swimmingly and were basically twinsies (appearance-wise). Noelle is such a gentle soul! Our girl was running zoomies around her...and she just sat so calmly and sweet! :-) We immediately fell in love with her! She is really just so sweet and looooves pets, running the golf course, swimming and chasing a ball. Tim and Cynthia's home is also wonderful and in an absolutely ideal location. It is gorgeous all around. It's on a beautiful golf course. There is a pond right out back. We had everything we needed and communication was fantastic. We weren't able to meet Jim (not Cynthia, for this stay) prior to the stay, but we had a nice video chat with him where he helped navigate our stay. We then met him before he left for his trip, he was a delight and provided us with everything we needed for a successful stay. I very highly recommend this stay!
Amber and Oliver are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and communicative. Their rescue cat, Suki, is totally adorable. Very sweet and affectionate. The maisonette is quite close to the city centre. It's just five minutes walk to the River Avon and Greggs! Ten minutes walk to Bath Abbey and Primark! About twenty minutes to the Royal Crescent. A lovely homesit. I thoroughly enjoyed staying and taking care of Suki.
There are some people that you feel instantly at home with, like old friends. That's how we felt when we met Janet & Billy. They're a lovely couple and made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home, which is located in a nice little beachside village. Murphy & Chester are an adorable pair. Murphy wasn't sure of us at first, but after 10 minutes he soon settled and was quite happy we were there. Chester made friends with us straight away. Murphy's sometimes a little reactive to other dogs, but can soon be distracted with a few treats. They are both incredibly affectionate little dogs and when we were home they loved to be close to us, either sat on our laps or across the back of the sofa behind us. We'd happily care for Murphy & Chester another time and it would be lovely to catch up with Janet & Billy next time we return to this part of Scotland.
