Erin was great at communicating prior to our trip. We did a FaceTime chat and she seemed like a fantastic fit for what we needed. She arrived at our house promptly in the half hour window she told us she would. We showed her around the house and went over the various tasks, and our two cats and dog took to her and her kids immediately. It was clear they were pet owners and very comfortable with animals. We felt good leaving for our trip shortly after. While we were gonna, she texted us a couple times with updates which we appreciated. There was an issue with our wifi that she was able to resolve herself. And at one point, our dog refused to take her allergy medicine and Erin reached out for the best course of action to take. Which demonstrated to us that she was taking the pet's care very seriously. When we returned from our trip, Erin alerted us that she had already left, so we didn't get a chance to touch base with her in person when we returned. Upon entering the house, we found it mostly very tidy, but there was a strong smell of cat urine. I went to the litter box and noticed that it very clearly hadn't been scooped in over a day. And then when I scooped and dropped the bag in our garbage can outdoor, I noticed there were only two bags of scooped litter in the trash (and a third that was put in our yard debris bin for some reason). Since we were gone for 5 nights, we expected the litter to be changed daily, so least 4 times, possibly five. As a result, we also discovered that one of the rugs in our kids' room had been peed on. Our cats have only ever peed outside the litter box when someone forgets to scoop it daily. My sense is that perhaps Erin and her family left in a bit of a hurry, because they left a handful of items behind and maybe they just forgot to scoop the litter that one last time before they left. Other than that issue, Erin seemed to take good care of our pets and our house. She's kind, responsible, and trustworthy. And while we were clear about daily scooping, in retrospect, I think we could've explained exactly why it was so important to do so. I think if she had known that an overly dirty litter box leads to the cats peeing outside of it, she would've been more diligent. Overall, it was a good house sitting experience.

Jonna is such a wonderful pet and house sitter. She’s stayed a few times now and my cuddly Burmese cats absolutely love her. Everything is easy, and she goes above expectation on leaving the house ready for return. Highly recommend!

We have been very impressed with Mark. He has certainly exceeded our expectations.

We were looking for a quiet, gentle person to look after our cat, Lucya, who is sensitive, and not used to other people. It turned out that we could not have asked for a more suitable person than Mark.

From the start, communication with Mark was very easy and straightforward. During an initial video call meeting, we felt a special warmth and kindness coming from him.

We arranged for Mark to arrive the day before we left for a holiday, and he arrived at the agreed time. We had a lovely conversation and dinner together, while showing Mark things around the house. He was well prepared and asked follow up questions from the information we had previously supplied.

When we were away, Mark sent us regular text and video updates about Lucya and the house.

The most amazing thing was that Mark trained Lucya to use the new cat door. We had a door installed in our house but we were struggling to teach Lucya to use it. It appears Mark used every trick in the book to get her interested in and using the door. He even bought treats for her too as part of the training. Immense patience would have been required.

We were very impressed when we received a video with Lucya actually using her door. Training was certainly more than we could expect from a pet sitter.

Apart from the amazing job Mark has done regarding our cat, he has left the house in a very clean and tidy condition - the best we've seen it for a long time! He even did some DIY jobs around the house.

Finally, just before he left (a few hours before our arrival as arranged), Mark cooked dinner for us, and even bought us a few things for our breakfast next morning.

In summary, we had an amazing experience with Mark and he far exceeded our expectations. A sixth star was needed for him.

Naturally, we highly recommend Mark as a pet and house sitter.
