I have done 21 pet sits now, and this was the worst I have ever had. They have all gone well and all have become lifelong friends bar this one. Sophie misleadingly said the house was close to Brighton beach but it is not, it is a good 40 minute walk away, locking me in the middle of nowhere (I like isolated places, but was not prepared for this so had not enough food or entertainment with me and there was no nature to walk in), for 7 days (it was even 20 minutes to the nearest coop). The house was dirty, smelly and cold and I got the worst food poisoning of my life from vegan mayo she offered (I was grateful for this at the time as the coop was such a long walk up a steep hill) for me to finish in the fridge (I replaced all I ate if offered as I always do). Sophie was really unkind to me when I returned, showing no empathy for me (I lost my job whilst on the sit) and humanity. I tried really hard to keep the cat well fed and looked after and to keep the owners updated regularly (2-3x a day) with progress on their house and pet, but instead of thanks, I was criticised for everything I did and nothing was ever good enough. I even cleaned (I had to buy my own cleaning equipment as there was none in the house) and left gifts and baked goods, but Sophie found fault here too. I liked Martin (kind and friendly man) and George (lovely cat) the cat and got on well with them, but because of the location and Sophies coldness and unkindness would not recommend this place to any future sitter.

I can’t say enough nice things about Julia and Ian. Before they left, they treated me to a lovely home cooked meal. They made me feel so comfortable and as if I’ve known them my whole life. Their home is beautiful and their girls, Flo and Dottie are such a treat. I had such a lovely time and did not want to leave the pups when my sit was done. I couldn’t recommend sitting for them and I’m so hopeful I can sit again in the future.

I had such a great time sitting for Luna! She’s a really sweet, shy, good natured pup. We especially loved going to the Arboretum for walks, and spending time together on the couch. If you work remotely, she will sit beside you and be a wonderful work day companion.

Chiara and Maxi are warm and friendly. Their place is clean and comfortable, and I slept so well in the guest bed. Communication was excellent, and they left helpful instructions for me so that made things easy.

I definitely recommend sitting for Luna!

Great sit! Susan is a great host. The cats are very funny. Snoopy is very sociable while Patti is very shy. We walked to the botanical gardens and the local park. Thanks Susan!

Watching Luna and Maya was a breeze! These two well-mannered pups made my life easy. Keeping their food and water bowls organized next to each other in a clean space made mornings a snap. Plus, it was fun tailoring playtime to their preferences – Luna for a good tug-of-war battle and Maya for some classic fetch. All in all, a fantastic experience! Home was very clean and stores were near by dollar store and convenience store drive-through. If you wanted fun, main event was just a few minutes away.! I recommend you come spend some time over in this area and the Mexican food was so great in the area BEST TACOS EVER!

Donna
We had an amazing time here sitting for Donna. Gus is the sweetest dog who is very quiet and very well-behaved. As long as you follow Donna‘s rules, you will have a great time with Gus. Their house is in a great part of the city with lots to do nearby. Donna very kindly leaves you recommendations of things to do to. The house is very high-tech and extremely comfortable. We highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. 😊😊
