We overall enjoyed our weekend looking after Poppy the cat, she is a beautiful and affectionate Siamese cat with stunning blue eyes! This was our first 'official' Trusted House sitters stay, so we were not sure entirely what to expect. The house is a gorgeous cottage in a rural location and we were comfortable with the accommodation. We really enjoyed our cuddles with Poppy, as well as playing with her and watching her run around with her toys. She is very 'puppy' like and wants to be the centre of attention which was adorable. On the last night she even came to snuggle in bed which was so lovely. She was very easy to look after and was no trouble at all. It is worth noting that the stay was altered quite last minute for me to arrive the next day instead, which was thankfully fine as I hadn't booked a train ticket. The address and travel directions could have been clearer which delayed my arrival time slightly. However was delighted to be welcomed with some homemade soup and the everything was very clear with the handover. There were unfortunately also some challenges at the start of the stay, the shower had stopped working the day before arrival and upon arrival I was asked to stay home all afternoon to see to the plumber. After asking permission from the host, I even called him myself to confirm which time he was arriving so I could plan my day, however he didn't turn up at the agreed time which was frustrating as I missed out on time for our trip. I was also a bit disheartened to not have been thanked by the host for my efforts and time dealing with this on arrival, as well as Poppy updates however I understand they could have been busy with their own stay. Otherwise we had a comfortable stay with Poppy and we enjoyed exploring the area and beach. Thank you for hosting us.
What a delightful home and neighborhood!! We had so much fun in this area...away from the busyness of Atlanta but close enough for a day trip! I would highly recommend Michelle’s home...however, I prefer to stay there myself
I can't recommend this experience highly enough, and I am so grateful to have met this wonderful family. Livania and Lewis are such friendly, open-hearted, and interesting people that I wished I were a next-door neighbour and not just a housesitter. I was bowled over by their generosity, which included a basket of treats, a fridge stocked with my favourites, and many other thoughtful touches. All communication was first-rate from the outset, and Livania also provided a comprehensive reference guide for their home, which is bright and very comfortable, and for Maisie the cat. Maisie might be the prettiest cat I’ve met—I’m surprised she hasn’t got an agent! I couldn’t resist taking photos of her for Livania. Maisie is not one for lap-sitting or cuddles, but she’s affectionate in her own little way and on her terms. Maisie happily comes and goes through her cat flap, but sometimes likes a little valet door service, if she sees you sitting in the sunroom. If you get a chance to meet Livania and Lewis and care for Maisie, take it! I myself will be back at the first opportunity—thank you for everything!
We had a very comfortable stay in Hannah's spacious one bedroom apartment in Etobicoke. The building apartment was safe and secure, and the location allowed us a very easy commute to downtown Toronto. There was a bus stop outside the building and an easy 12 minute walk to the Subway Station. Nosy was a very lovely, but nervous older cat and it took her a few days to get use to us. When she got more comfortable she loved sitting on or near us and happily purred away. Communication with Hannah was great and she was quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely look after Nosy again!
Had a wonderful time with Libby. Super sweet and fun young lab. Loves chasing the ball and is up for long hikes. Sharon is incredibly nice. She left detailed instructions and was easy to communicate with. Great home close to all kinds of hiking and biking spots. Great view from the back porch while you drink coffee in the morning. Highly recommend!
It was a pleasure to cat sit for Tra and Trung's two cats, Mochi and Chika who are both sweet natured and friendly kitties and Chika was shy for the first day or so but she soon adapted to me staying and both cats enjoyed being stroked and play time and spending time in the garden as well as meal times and treats. The house was comfortable and the area was conveniently near Wimbledon and i had a good handover on arrival. Thanks for inviting me to cat sit.
