Dana and David (and Spanky and Sunny) were great sitters; easy-going, arranging everything well in advance and keeping us informed during our time away. They left the house spotless (and left us some homemade cookies and a lovely note regarding their stay). Highly recommend.
Pippa was a great host and very kind, welcoming us before the house sit started and explaining everything. Boni and Jasper are lovable dogs, well behaved and enjoy walks to the beach, forest or playing with the ball and above all, cuddles. She has a big garden where Boni and Jasper run and play. And there are amazing beaches close by. Would love to see them all again, we enjoyed very much our time in Mallorca, thanks Pippa!
This home was the biggest delight to stay at with the most adorable kitties! I only wish I could have stayed here forever, just steps away from the most beautiful beach and wonderfully quiet.... the kittens were all a bit scared of us initially but eventually all warmed up and we even became best of friends with two of them :) I have absolutely nothing even remotely negative to say and honestly created some beautiful memories here.
We’ve sat for many great dogs and Dakota is one of the best! She’s extremely mellow, well-trained, and was a perfect companion on walks, hikes and at home soaking the relaxing vibe and mountain view in the back yard. Being so sweet, she missed her mommy the first couple of days which diminished her appetite, but Maddy let us know that was normal and provided yummier food that got us on track. Maddy’s home is cozy, and we loved the canal just steps outside the front door for walks. The adjacent streets have neat mid-century homes and friendly neighbours, some of whom give out free citrus. We appreciated that there was a variety of walkable dine out options. We took full advantage of being only a few minutes drive to beautiful Dreamy Draw Recreation Area – our favourite spot for morning hikes with Dakota. Further out, but still an easy drive with Dakota, we ventured to Spur Cross Trail (spectacular) and Cave Creek, enjoying awesome trails as well as the charming town where we had patio lunch with Dakota at Janey’s (a nice suggestion by Maddy). We didn’t get to meet Maddy prior to the sit, but it was easy to settle in and Dakota came as advertised: an amazing dog! We loved our time with her at Maddy’s home in a part of Phoenix we enjoyed getting to know. We would return and recommend to other sitters.
Great housesit! Jenn was a great host and Lola and Chicken are doing were super easy to care for.The neighbourhood is great for exploring downtown. Wouldn't hesitate to sit again.
Beanie was a delightful character and enjoyable to sit for. She was really easy to care for, affectionate, playful and would often follow us around the house. Friendly and well behaved with people and other dogs she was great company to explore the local area with. We especially enjoyed our trip to Tintern Abbey and being able enjoy a lunch outside in the sunshine at one of the local restaurants. Suzanne left lots of detailed instructions to help with the sit which was really appreciated and some good recommendations for places to visit. Sitting for Barry and Patti was a JOY! They are so welcoming and felt very much like old friends. Emma, Maggie, and Kloie were just the sweetest babies and warmed right up to me. We developed our routine early, and the girls had me trained on when food time was 😀 We had exercise time and plenty of couch time during the day. They enjoyed meeting my students and enjoyed their treats after class was over. The area was magnificent for trail hiking, and Salisbury is just a wonderful town. I was able to attend several theater performances while there, as well as explore downtown during Second Saturday. The transportation museum is AMAZING. Barry and Patti were VERY open communication, gave excellent instructions, and everything went super smooth! Would definitely sit for them again!
