I was delighted to have Melita come and house sit for a second time. She was competent, cheerful and communicative and as before I had no hesitation in leaving the dog with her. Unfortunately the dog did need to go to the vet several times throughout Melita’s stay but this was dealt with very efficiently and we had every confidence in her. The house was left beautifully tidy with a lovely bunch of flowers. I would be very pleased to have Melita back and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a house sitter. Jenna and Andy came and sat for our 4 dogs and one horse. They were amazing!!!!! My house was clean and tidy when we returned home...sheets and towels washed...house vacuumed...all dishes done. Jenna was great at providing updates on how all the animals were doing, including photos and videos. They did an amazing job looking after the animals and house, and I would invite them back in a second!!!!!! Can't say enough good things about them!!!!

Good kennels, properly run. The dogs seem happy to go there, quite different to their visits to the vet. They are handed back in good condition and the staff try to be helpful with odd requests, such as an early drop off. Not knowing what goes on behind the door for security reasons, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Tastes fine so far. Good security and our impression is that the dogs are exercised in the compound satisfactorily.
George my cat was looked after for two weeks .. just want to thank east dean kennels for looking after him. He looked great when we picked him up. Lovely people there .. have used many times and can’t fault them. Thankyou so much.?
Due to conflicted circumstances we had to return a greyhound to theses kennels. The dog was to be housed until the Kent Greyhound Rescue could rehome the dog. Never have I been spoken too with such venom and disgusting tone in all my life. The owner/manager was EXTREMELY rude lady and completely uncaring of the situation . She was very belittling to my son, who was extremely upset and emotional. I wouldn't use this company. I have reported it to the Charity Commission who have will investigate further..
Our young cat was boarded for 4 nights, he seems well looked after and is happy.

We have a difficult dog and they know just how to handle her and love her, and I’ve never known our dog lose her mind so much with excitement every time we drive down their road! To note, we literally now drive 2 hours to East Dean as we’ve moved away, because they really are that incredible!
Just picked up our cats Harrison and Riley from East Dean cattery. They have been brilliant and our flight was cancelled from Crete until the next day when we would not be able to pick the cats up. We called them from Crete and it was no trouble. Harrison and Riley were well looked after
Was hoping to book my dog and 2 cats in for two separate stays this year but will not be using this kennels. On their website it stated that you can visit the kennels to have a look around without having to book. I have now been turned away on two occasions over 2 days. On my first visit I was told to come back the following day between the hours of 11am and 3pm as it’s a quieter time for staff and they would be able to show me around the kennels and cattery. I attended the following day to be turned away again because there was only one member of staff running the entire kennels/cattery and they are too busy. I was told to come back another time or to wait until they had finished their jobs, to be given ‘the quickest visit they’ve ever given’. It also states on their website they have a heated rubber matted play barn for older dogs to use, when I asked about this for my dog to use after mentioning she is a 12yo Labrador who is completely blind and going deaf, I was told they wouldn’t let her use it as it’s for very old sick dogs that need to be isolated from other dogs. Generally a lab’s lifespan is 10-12years, so maybe she has to be practically dying to use their heated barn. I personally think there should be more than one member of staff running a kennel, as both times I’ve visited there has only been one person responsible for all those cats and dogs.
I collected my Dog from East Dean first thing in the AM after a draining 12 hours of international night travel and was greeted by “we’ve just been talking about you” by Amy the owner - This was promptly followed up with what can only be described as a 5 minute reprimand about training my dog to walk on a slip collar, which was then followed by a complaint that my dog was “hard work” as he was "so clean" and only 2 people could take him out to the paddock and my dog would not allow their staff to place his head collar on (which incidentally my 3 year old son can do effortlessly). Noting that the website states that the kennels are equipped with a grass run and makes no mention of dogs needing to be slip collar trained before arrival. No consideration was given to the fact that I choose not to use a slip collar due to the fact my dog is a 9.5 stone drafting dog (i.e. bred to pull) nor my personal feelings against the use of slip collars due to thyroid damage issues in large breeds, larynx, trachea and other issues - and I prefer to use a head collar. And more to the point my dog walks off the lead when not walking with a head collar (which is my preferred collar choice) and is trained to heel on any directed side so a slip collar is totally unnecessary in our normal day to day lives. After listening to Amy's words of wisdom while jet lagged and a little shocked it became patently clear that the issue was likely a shortage of staff (Which I was advised of when dropping my dog off), compounded by a lack of staff training around gaining an animals trust which led to the assertion that my animal was "hard work" as he needed time outside of his kennel to relieve himself and wouldn't let a stranger put his head collar on. While I’m sure the kennels are perfectly adequate and well equipped the owner came across as rude, ignorant and arrogant and that is the reason for the negative review. Some etiquette training wouldn't go amiss. Update in response to East Dean for completeness; - My dog has not previously bitten anyone. - Although my dog did not want to leave me, his previous kennel visit was uneventful once settled. East Dean was merely a closer option this time around. - My dog is very well trained and walks on and off the lead without issue. - No demands were made be it unreasonable or otherwise. - I'm not "the general public" I'm a paying customer.
Thanks so much for caring for my boys whilst we were away. I would 100% recomend if you want your pets to be cared for in a homely setting. We loved recieving daily updates with photos.
We have been using Pets World Doggy Hotel for many years to board our two rather energetic Border Terriers, and we couldn't be happier with the service. Lesley has always been incredibly helpful and informative, making the whole process smooth and stress-free—even when we've needed to make last-minute bookings! The team in the main pet shop area is equally fantastic, always friendly and ready to assist with any requests. The care and attention they show towards our dogs is second to none. Beanie loves going to Pets World! As an older boy he needs that little bit of extra care, which everyone at Pets World gives to him in spades! We also love being able to see photos and videos of him on their Facebook page! I would recommend Pets World again and again!
Awesome kennels - Great facilities but what makes this place so special is Lesley and her lovely team, our Newfador Ozzy is super happy when we arrive. They simply adore dogs and treat them like family. We researched many kennels but found Pets World to be the best. If they had a room for humans I would book in for a holiday myself!
I heartily recommend this business, even though my gentle rescue collie became sadly, so very anxious during his seventh visit there and it was decided that he could not manage ‘kennels’. We had, by mutual understanding, been building him up over three months to being settled in kennels. I was travelling 43 miles each way for each visit, in order to use this recommended business! The staff, particularly Manager Lesley, were always so pleasant, so attune to the needs of various dog breeds, good at communicating each way any concerns and I would suggest WISE. I think they were truly upset, when he ‘failed’. I met several owners during my visits, including those of three other collies. All of these folk were returning users and very happy with the place, the set-up, the service, the CARE. This is a smaller boarding kennels, with settled staff. Reception is reached by walking through the large pet products store and is quite small. Booking in was always suitably limited to one owner and their dog(s) at a time. I was shown the Hotel rooms. Large, glass fronted, warm, comfortable raised beds, piped classical music ! MUCH better than any others that I have visited I am aware (but did not actually see) that they have really large grounds and walking areas. I am sad for my poor boy, rescued from two previous awful owners. He is despite that, very loving. Has lived with me for nearly five years. Unfortunately, it appears that he will likely only manage a live-in home boarding situation. And I will have to begin again, looking for such an environment. I believe strongly, that The Pet Hotel and staff could have done NOTHING MORE than they did, to help my boy.
Lesley and her team at Pets World really are super stars. Our pooch drags me in and always receives a fabulous greeting from all the staff. She is beautifully cared for and comes home happy and healthy. They are very attentive to all her needs. I have no worries or anxieties when I drop our precious pooch off because I have absolute faith and trust that she will be safe, loved and pampered. I feel very lucky to have found Pets World.
We left our dogs here (to board) the first time with no issues, second time the booking was cancelled just days before out holiday which left us with very limited time to arrange alternative boarding at short notice. The reason for this according to Pet World was due to payment not being made on time although we were never asked to pay by a specific time. A more stringent booking system is needed to make it clear when payment is required by. Won't be staying here again due to the hassle this cancellation caused.
We used the pet hotel for our 3 dogs for our wedding. One of our dogs is very anxious and doesn’t cope well with new people or settings. Pet world were amazing and did two trials with all three of our dogs and had them for our wedding. When we picked them up it seemed like all 3 dogs had the time of their life! Thank you so much

Every time we go on holiday, we have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such capable hands. Lesley and her team go above and beyond. We receive regular picture and video updates, which really helps ease any worries we have while we’re away. They’re always available to chat and even provide a record of Milo’s weight upon our return. After visiting several boarding facilities, we can confidently say that the standard of service at PetsWorld is unmatched. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to family and friends, and we wouldn’t consider using another boarding service for Milo. Thank you, PetsWorld!
After visiting other establishments earlier this year we made contact with Leslie at Pets World, what a professional she proved to be; we placed our dog in the Tester Day for which he enjoyed but further down the line nearing the time of placing him in the kennels. Leslie contacted us asking if we could bring him in for another overnight stay as they has found post Covid that some dogs do suffer separation and in such instance would require the dog to be retrieved.This we cooperated with and fortunately he didn’t show any unfortunate signs. Pets World have a wonderful team who really care for the pets in their charge, as Leslie said they would always send the owners photos of their pets including cats,imagine how reassuring it was being a thousand miles away to receive photos and occasional videos of one’s pet. Cost is relative but to my wife and I it was worth every penny and we will have absolutely no hesitation in placing Titian into the loving care of Leslie and her professional team.
We were recommended Pets World Kent by a friend and we took our labradors, Bertie and Nera for a trial day there and they got on really well. Bertie and Nera have since had a number of stays (long and short) with Leslie and her team and have always had excellent care and attention on all of their stays. Nera was a bit more nervous about going in the first couple of stays but the team have made her grow every time in confidence and she now seems to enjoy racing to get into the door as much as Bertie does! Their next stay starts tomorrow and we have no hesitation in taking them and knowing they will be well loved and cared for.
Mazzie has been fantastic with our dogs and always responds quickly to enquiries for scheduling walks. We have no concerns that our girls are happy to see her and it is great to know they are getting walkies when we are not around. Mazzie also is always happy to sort out feeding if needed and anything else we might ask. Great service and so pleased we found Poppy and Pals. Thoroughly recommended.
Mazzie was a fabulous lady to look after my timid and shy Beaker. She really got to know her and her growl really well and definitely understood Beaker and her weird ways. Poppy and pals is a fantastic pet care service and I will highly recommend them and will be using them again.

Poppy and Pals are amazing. They looked after Hamish while we were away and he has been thoroughly spoiled. Mazzie spent time getting to know him and kept us up-to-date with photos - some really great ones! so we had complete peace of mind while we were away. We are very grateful for the care given to him (all 3 of us!) and will definitely use them again :)

I have had our labs walked by this company for years. They are brilliant trust worthy and love the dogs in thier care as they were Thier own. I would not hesitate to recommend. All our hairy guys have loved them and so look forward to going out with them.
Where do I even start! The Poppy and Pals team are wonderful, very reliable, kind and caring. They have walked our super crazy dog Odie since he was a puppy and that is no easy task. The team have also recently welcomed our latest addition to the family Molly for walks whilst we are at work. Mazzie is really great and I really can’t recommend the team enough.
We have used Poppy and Pals for the last 18 months have found them to be brilliant. They have treated our dog Babs with so much love and care, it’s been reassuring to know she was so well looked after on her walks while we were working. My most precious thing is my dog. When i have to leave him to work i feel sad but my sadness sets aside knowing he is with Hastings Pet Care. Korker loves his time with the otger dogs and with the lovely Jonathan and Peter. They are reliable, communicative and put your mind at ease. Couldnt ask for more.
Where to start - our four-legged son Milton has boarded with Peter and Jonathan at Hasting Pet Care since he was a pup. From his first visit over a year ago he was hooked (as were they on him) and he has the most wonderful time in their care. Milton is a water-obsessed fun loving dog, with energy that would exhaust the Tazmanian devil, and so he needs a lot of exercise, play and mental stimulation, but he also loves nothing more than a bunch of affection shown his way. I know that Milton is treated like one of their own each and every time he visits with them, and he has made in their own dog George a fast friend. Hastings Pet Care is Milton's home away from home and we know that he is so well loved and cared for in their home, which is the most important thing. We feel extremely lucky to have found Peter and Jonathan, and would have not an ounce of hesitation to recommend them to anyone who is looking for somewhere to board or walk their dog safe in the knowledge that their cherished family member is not treated as a commodity, but is taken in with love and care and provided with an environment and walks that will stimulate, engage and delight your pooch. These guys rock, and our awesome dog Milton adores being in their company. Don't use kennels, use Hastings Pet Care - they're the best; your dog will thrive there and thank you for it.
Peter and Jonathan have been fantastic with Myron and he has such a wonderful time running around und with all his doggy mates on a regular basis. Their 5 star service has been a godsend since I broke my ankle at Christmas, Myron and I would have been lost without them. I do not hesitate to recommend them and have complete confidence that they care for Myron (almost!) as much as I do.
Jonathan and Peter offer second to none care for our much-loved cat Bagel when we are away. We know we don’t have to worry about anything when they are popping in to visit him and they always send us little updates, which is extra reassuring. Peter and Jonathan are also extremely professional, with very prompt communication. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you want peace of mind that your furry friend will be much loved and cared for.
These guys are the best. Really friendly, they keep you updated with pictures and messages as to what fun your dog is having on the day and when he/she is dropped safely off home. I'm sure our dog would jump through flaming hoops to get into their van and have another adventure, he just loves his time with them and all the other carefully chosen doggies he gets to play with whilst with them. Peter and Jonathan have looked after my whippet Peggy for over 5 years and they are simply the best. They are totally dedicated to the dogs they care for and I'm convinced that Peggy has a better time on holiday staying with them than I do! Peggy loves them and George their parsons terrier. I trust them implicitly and have great peace of mind knowing how well she is being cared for. They also take lots of beautiful photos and videos so I can see what a wonderful time she is having. I don't know what I would do without them!
Jonathan and Peter are amazing with our little dog, Minty. She goes crazy with excitement every time they come to collect her and she loves her adventures out and about with them. They’re very friendly and always send us a pic of Minty on her walk so we can see what she’s been getting up to. Great service - would highly recommend!

Best dog walkers in town! Really couldn't wish for better dog walkers. Jonathan and Peter are so natural with the dogs, Max absolutely loves them. Max is our gorgeous golden retriever. He's 16months old, full of energy and zeal. He's really the happiest dog, sweetest thing in the world. Completely oblivious to his ginormous size. Is a total baby at heart, constantly looking for attention and to being pampered. But as I got pregnant, have a toddler in tow, my husband and I found it really hard to take him out for his morning walks. Peter and Jonathan came home to meet Max and Max took to them immediately. They have walked him since he was a little pup so Max has made a brilliant bond with them. He's super excited everytime he knows their van is outside and could possibly knock the door down if I didn't open the door fast enough. They have been walking him through my pregnancy and have been a complete god sent. Max always comes home so happy, content and exhausted. His walkies are the best part of his day. I have been so happy for Max. He's made so many wonderful doggie friends and has a proper social life (Can't say the same about his humans in lockdown). Love getting all the photos, videos and updates from them. It's reassuring seeing his cheeky smile and watching him have a good time. All in all, they are really good guys and care deeply about Max. They are not only professional, reliable, friendly and supportive but also, completely trustworthy, very thoughtful and extremely kind hearted. We would highly recommend their services.
It has taken us 3 years to feel comfortable with leaving Dexter with someone outside of the family. Having decided we wanted a holiday abroad this year, we took the plunge with Julie and Malcolm and we’re so, so glad we did. After two separate overnight stays before we went away, we knew that Dexter would be in very capable hands and would be very happy. It is clear that Julie and Malcolm love dogs and Dexter was made to feel like one of their own. While we were on holiday, Julie sent us regular texts, photos, videos and reports, which was fantastic as it gave us such peace of mind. We could also see how much Dexter was enjoying his holiday - playing with his new friends, eating delicious treats, having lots of cuddles and relaxing on the garden day bed! We will always use Julie and Malcolm to board Dexter in future, for as long as they will have him, because we can see how much love and care is lavished on him. In return, he also loves Julie, Malcolm and the dogs and, if they are in the park at the same time as us now, he will run from the other side of the field to see them! All in all, we don’t think we could find anywhere better to board Dexter. It is such a relief to know he has somewhere to stay where he is so well looked after and where he is so happy. Thank you to Julie, Malcolm and all the dogs for welcoming Dexter into your home and making him one of the family when he comes to stay!
My dog Oli has been home boarded a few times a year for the last ten years. I have to say Julie had been exceptional in her care for him. We received many photos and reports of his holidays for the two weeks we were away. She really is a very caring and loving person and went the extra mile looking after him. I really would not leave him with any one else just wish she had been doing this a few years ago as we have had some bad experiences in the past . He has come home clean and exhausted from all his lovely walks and playtime with Julie’s dogs can’t thank her enough. I know from now on I won’t worry about him while I’m on holiday he will be having a great time
I had never put Rocco into boarding before and I was quite apprehensive about how he would be. I met Julie in her home with Malcolm and their own dogs, a meet and greet, Julie did it with great care and attention to not overwhelm Rocco. It was agreed then on Rocco's reaction to do a two night trial to see how this would go. This was free of charge. Julie updated me with an emailed report, what's app messages and pictures, fantastic. Rocco had great fun and it was set for him to stay for 12 nights. Would I recommend Julie, 100%, would I use her services again, 100% She sent lovely videos and pictures throughout his stay. He truly had a fab holiday himself. So well looked after and cared for I don't think he wanted to leave.
I’m so happy that my friend recommended Parsley and Pals to us! Julie and Malcolm took such good care of our dog Albie and I could tell they genuinely loved him. On my first visit, it was evident that Julie has put so much hard work, love and care into Parsley and Pals, and she absolutely adores her dogs as does Malcolm. I didn’t hesitate in booking Albie in with them for a holiday and I felt at ease whilst I was away as I knew he was treated like a king. Julie sends regular updates which is lovely. I can’t recommend Parsley and Pals enough. I feel like myself and Albie struck gold finding them and we have more visits booked in. Thank you so much 😊
I was so pleased to have found Julie with her Parsley and Pals boarding! We have a 5 year old cocker spaniel Sam, who boarded this week, and he had an amazing time!! Sam was treated liked royalty with healthy snacks, lots of playing, cuddles and space if he needed it. It was really reassuring to know Sam was in safe hands while we had a lovely holiday, and so did he! Julie kept me up to date with his activities and sent photos and videos, which were lovely to see. We are definately booking again next year! 100% recommend this service for your precious doggies. I have one happy, tired boy.
I cannot recommend Parsley and Pals more highly. Julie is truly committed to the dogs in her care giving them a home from home experience. My dog, Winston, had a wonderful time and has a group of new friends in the resident dogs. Julie is meticulous about her daily reports and kept me updated with pictures of Winstons adventures which was very reassuring. I will certainly be booking Winston in for visits and holidays in the future.
Wow! What a great experience we, and our two dogs had with their stay. Photos sent through and a great and thorough report of each day. Walks and lots of cuddles were had. Our dog Spud has gone to stay with Julie a few times and we couldn't be happier! Our baby boy has the best time and is very well looked after. It is clear how much they care the their own dogs as well as guests! It's such a piece of mind knowing he is comfortable, safe and happy. Spud will be returning in the future for sure!

We are so fortunate to have discovered Julie and Malcolm, such lovely genuine people who literally care for our dog Stanley as if he is their own dog. Stanley is so comfortable in their company and he has also made some new dog pals with the resident dogs. Highly knowledgeable and professional in how they look after Stanley and it is great for us knowing we can leave Stanley in their care fully confident that he will have a great time. We particularly love the updates ( emails and videos ) that Julie sends which gives us a great insight into what Stanley is doing and he has grown in confidence whilst with Julie and Malcolm. We would highly recommend Julie and Malcolm.

Deefur absolutely adores Charlotte and we can't speak highly enough of her. She is totally devoted to the dogs in her care, ensures that they all play nicely and that they have a good time. When Charlotte collects Deefur we always tell him when she is on her way and he gets super excited. At the end of the day he comes back tired and happy, re-enacting his day in every twitch as he sleeps and dreams. Thank you Charlotte.

Charlotte has looked after our young Vizsla amazingly well. He is a high energy dog who is only one year old and Charlotte has always managed to tire him out with plenty of walks! She has always been approachable and kept us updated with our dog’s antics throughout the day. Our dog has also stayed with Charlotte whilst we have been away and it’s been clear he’s had a lovely time and has been very well looked after. He is always incredibly excited to return! Thank you

Highly recommend Cranbrook Dog Walking for pet sitting and dog walking. She took our dog for a few days, had him in her home, took him for plenty of walks and he loved it! We’ll definitely use Charlotte again

We used foxgloves dog boarding for our two pooches Peggy and Doris. Amelia was great right from the first contact, very responsive, informative and approachable. She arranged a visit prior to there stay too make sure we were happy with everything and for her to meet the dogs. The dogs instantly felt at home and Amelia would update us on a daily basis with photos etc. We would definitely recommend foxgloves and have our next stays booked already. Thanks 🙏🏻
I can’t recommend Foxgloves enough. My pup pulls like a train to get there and looks genuinely disappointed when he has to leave. It’s testament to just how amazing Amelia is. I know she loves my puppy just as much as I do. And it shows. It’s the greatest compliment I can give her that my pup doesn’t want to come home. Professional. Caring. Loving. Knowledgable. Couldn’t ask for more.
We highly recommend Foxgloves, Amelia is great with Baxter he loves going there & hanging out with buddies. She bakes them all biscuits, shows plenty of love but also control too. Amelia is flexible with times & dates which is ideal for us & we can’t speak highly enough of her.
Our pup absolutely LOVES his days (and nights) at Foxgloves. It’s like a second home. He can’t wait to get there and comes home exhausted after days filled with doggy playing, puzzles and cuddles. Can’t recommend more highly.
I am so happy to have found Amelia - professional yet has built such a strong bond with our very particular pup, he loves going there, I feel guilty when he comes home as I realise how much more interaction he gets then when he is home !
