We had a wonderful time staying at Gudrun's and Ralph's home while they were away on vacation. What a fabulous couple! They are very kind, hospitable and welcoming. We felt at home instantly and they did everything they could to ensure we had a good stay. They had prepared a lovely home-cocked dinner on our arrival and we had such a nice evening, getting to know each other:) Thanks! Resi, Jackie and Pepe are sweethearts. We loved staying at home and cuddle with them and they are very affectionate and always happy to get some attention and get scratched. They love their walks and gets very excited when they realize you are about to go out with them. They like playing around, especially Jackie and it is really fun to be with them. We were taking them for long walks in the village, into neighboring villages and down hiking trails. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to sit for Gudrun and Ralph and saying goodbye to the woofies was hard and we would love to sit for them again in the future. We would definitely recommend this sit and would love to come back. Thank you very much for a great week in your cosy home with the most adorable dogs! A five star sit!
Richard & Val are wonderful, they make you feel at home and they left me a delicious pie and some gorgeous amenities, also they helped me to move for the new house sitting, the instructions were clear and the communication super efficient. it was the best house sitting I've ever done, Sheba is the cutest and sweetest dog, she loves hugs, walks, pampering, jumping and dancing, their house is beautiful and with a lot of space in a very quiet suburb, the train is very close, I really love the time at richar and val's house and sharing with Sheba, I miss her.
Gio and Zina, a delightful duo, are the epitome of charm in their building. First and foremost, Gio, a beloved little being, effortlessly captures the hearts of everyone around. His popularity is undeniable, and it's no mystery why. Gio embodies the perfect blend of cuddliness and independence, playfulness and chill, and an acute awareness of the building's diverse soundscape. A connoisseur of the squirrel world, he enjoys leisurely, sniff-oriented strolls, and basking in the treats and affections bestowed upon him by his Uncle Byron, the sweetest neighbor in the building. Gio as a pup is pleasantly social, a perfect little companion as he eagerly joins in yoga sessions and exudes an infectious joy that makes him a delightful presence. Zina, from the very beginning, was wonderful. Not only did she graciously introduce me to her circle of neighbors / friends, but she also remained remarkably responsive throughout my stay. Stepping into Zina's apartment is akin to entering an aesthetic haven, a pristine sanctuary with a view that takes your breath away. Every corner exudes beauty, and her collection of books is nothing short of enthralling. Zina's attention to detail and the overall artistic yet cozy allure of her living space truly made it an oasis throughout the snowstorm we experienced in January. I would relish any opportunity to house/pet sit for this dynamic duo again.
Rebekah and Phil have an amazing comfortable home in a wonderful location. Phoenix the dog is low key and easy to look after. Juno the puppy has tremendous energy, is playful and adores her walks. Rebekah and Phil were very easy to communicate with both before and during our sit. They made us very welcome, picked us up from the station and cooked a lovely meal when we arrived. Wonderful people, Juno and Phoenix were a pleasure to take care of. We would love to return next year.
Looking after Tom & Rosemary's home and Chloe was an absolute pleasure. Their home is beautiful and very comfortable. Chloe was very well behaved and loved cuddling up as much as she could, apart from her daily vigil at the front door. Chloe loved taking me for a walk. The magpies also came to visit each day to get fed. I have no hesitation in offering my recommendation.
Great all around! Sara and Brandon have a nice, comfortable house in a very pleasant neighborhood. Downtown Asheville is about a 25 minute walk and grocery stores are about 15 minutes. Of course you can drive too but parking around downtown Asheville is kind of a hassle. The neighborhood itself (Grove Park) is enjoyable to walk around all by itself. Anyway, despite a few quirks the house had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. Sara and Brandon are gracious and generous hosts and accommodated my requests without hesitation. Frankie is not the most outgoing kitty I've cared for but he will accept your affections immediately and he spent a few mornings on my bed. Ace is much more skittish and at best only peeked out of wherever he was hiding a handful of times a day. As with most kitties, they will spend much more time around you when they expect to be fed. Hope to be back!
